Reperio 15:07Day 1 of my little escapade towards Albury for the weekend, and after spending the night at Bowral, it was on to Tumbarumba this evening. On a drizzly day, it was nice to get out and find a few roadside caches, and this one was soon located and signed.Gratias MrsRoostaAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
With the Monday of the long weekend off, I decided to head over to Wagga for the CITO. The area was looking much better when we finished. After the clean-up, DSD and I decided on going for a big caching day trip. The trip saw us driving to Corryong via Tumbarumba on the way there. On the way back to Wagga, we decided to follow the river and go via Holbrook. The loop was approximately 380km. It was a very nice scenic drive which for most of the trip, neither had driven along before. So a few new LGAs for us and we also got to meet, The Man from Snowy River. It was a great trip and of course we found as many caches as possible along the way. Most the caches we found were quick finds and were signed as: JM & DSD. To end the day, we also managed a FTF on a new cache in Wagga. Thanks to DSD for letting me tag along. One last thing, with todays finds I have broken my previous biggest year and its not even December yet. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs!
First cache for the day, looked at the hint and went for what I thought was the hiding spot only to get tangled in thorns. Got untangled when I seen something hidden under a rock (not log) and was soon signing cache. Thanks to MrsRoosta for placing this cache! Here comes the generic part of the log....Living in a small town with a young child doesn't give me as many opportunities as I would like to get out and cache, so when it was decided I needed to do some shopping out of town I thought why not have a change of scenery and head to Wagga (where i haven't cached yet)! A play date with the grandparents was organised, who insisted on making it a sleep over so I spent a few hours the night before getting a game plan to really make use of this time, get a d.t or 2 needed for my grid, some earth caches and get enough smileys to get the second cosmic souvenir. Would of been nice to have someone along for the ride but I still am enjoying the adventure flying solo. Thank you to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches.
Day 3 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Stopping Wagga for the weekend so we can attend a few events. Caching today with Joolay, Kittykatch and GLISS! Signed WW24 (Wagga Wanders 24). Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip will be to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.
A caching road trip to Wagga to attend a couple of events and find a bunch of caches with Joolay and oother Canberra cachers. Logs signed as Wagga Wanderers 2024 (WW24). Thanks for the hide MrsRoosta
Puzzle time completed so now to get the next trail. Had these in our sights for ages.Met up with Nibletricecakes and GLISS!, signing as Wagga Wanderers 24 or WW24.Decided to travel down to Wagga for the events and to get some caching in with Kittykatch. Also a good time to christen her little camper. Awesome setup and we are ready to go.Thanks for getting me out and about MrsRoosta
Found with Nibletricecakes, Kittykatch, & Joolay on Day 3 of our Adelaide Leap Day Mega trip. Signed as WW24. TFTC
TFTC! I found it it was very easy to find and immediately knew where it was. Thankyou for the cache.
Middle geokid wanted to go camping this weekend, and with the weather looking good we finally made the decision to head up to Tumbarumba for the night camping at Henry Angel Flats (Hume & Hovel walking track) I have camped here before passing through and had completed the northern set of caches, we were keen to complete the southern this time plus the new ones added to the northern side.
Heaps of Wombat holes here. TFTC !

I've been on the road since the Rutherglen Mega travelling a loop around the alpine region, sadly today I head back home after staying the night at Burra campground,it's been such a great trip! I'm picking up a few hides on the drive home and found this one my way
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
A nice wander along the rail trail on a beautiful overcast day with my husband and two Geo pups thank you for the hide the log is very wet but I have put a replacement driver log in Clipsal bag with a moisture absorber packet as well as some swaps for the kids in its own clip seal bags thank you have a great day
Off to Melbourne for the grand final weekend and decided a two day trip was the way to go...just for something different. Haven't been along this road for a long time, way before this series of caches, so made the decision to check them out. All had great parking and all were found without issue. And even after all the rain we've had, all caches were found in very good condition. Dropped a few TB's to hopefully entice a few more people out here as well.
Thanks for the cache Mrs Roosta....

Another from the rail trail. Enjoying the route and banked up for this one tftc
Nice surprise, so cute. Wanted to keep it but decided to leave it for the next cacher.
#5899.
We decided to come and have look at the Rail Trail today and attempt a couple of caches. We got a bit of a fright at this one - as we approached the cache, a snake jumped out to say hi. It gave us a quick look and then disappeared into the tree. I still managed to retrieve the container and complete the admin. Thanks for placing the caches here for us to find!

Decided to take a day off and go caching - needed 14 for the next souvenir and as I can’t go into Victoria I could head west to Tocumwal or head to the hills around Tumbarumba. Chose the latter as the potential number of caches was higher (and this is a nice part of the world). Not the most successful day - 6 DNFs and 5 Did Not Attempts (DNAs - at least 3 highly unlikely to be there). But did get 19 caches and enjoyed a few walks on a sunny but chilly day
Running out of time but thought I would get more on this road. Certain I found a cache in the other side bit that long ago. Parked in the gravel pit and up the bank with two sheep watching. Hunted on the clue but seems it might be a bit petrified or maybe I was distracted by the helmet! Log signed.

Nice view. Odd... work helmet covering wet toilet roll... bush toilet? Thanks

Day 5 of our NSW road trip and we venture from Tumbarumba to Wagga Wagga. Another road not travelled before and many caches to be found. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining them for us to discover.
Caching today from Tumbarumba to Wagga Wagga. Hopefully the weather will be a little warmer, but I am not counting on it. Due to the number of caches found, I am doing a generic log. Thank you for placing this cache in this location - allowing other geocachers to find. Found cache and signed log. TFTC.
With BomEm, on on a hike and bike exploration of the Tumbarumba area.
Container and log in good order.

TFTC quick stop to grab a cache on the way to paddy’s river camp site. Nice drive out this way.
This one wasn't under a log, as in the hint. It was, rather, under a rock. It wasn't hard to spot, though. Thanks for the cache, Mrs Roosta!
Out for a drive with Just a cacher and decided to grab a cache or two while we were in the area.
A quick find after a short search.
Thanks for the cache Mrs Roosta.

A cache was found. Not sure if it was the correct one. It wasnt quite as the hint explained. But anywho, it got signed and im claiming a find lol.. thanks heaps !
We have finally got to Tumut to visit our son and his family after the Covid-19 restrictions, and with a beautiful sunny day we thought that we would see how we went on this trail. So far today we have managed to convert 2 previous blueys into yellow smilies, so we are hoping that the rest of the day is as productive. We did have the thought that we could catch up with Mr and Mrs Roosta at the end of the day-but wouldn’t you know it, the pair has just set off on the road again! Can’t say we didn’t try.
This one was definitely missing, so as per our arrangement with the CO we have replaced it.

We searched for quite a while for this one, unfortunately the council are building a new rail trail along here and there are piles of new gravel and such in preperation for the extension of the trail. We had located the "hint" defined item, and unfortunately we have to report that there was no cache to be located anywhere.
On our way home to Victoria from a funeral in Tumbarumba. Having fulfilled the duties of attending, eating, drinking and chatting with relatives, it was time for some light relief of collecting some caches along the way. SL at 1.56pm No trains, so we left one for the next visitor.#6372 TFTC Mrs Roosta We believe this one helps us out with another clue for the Mystery at the Museum Challenge.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Went for a drive to find some caches, this one took a little while. We're not sure if someone is playing games or what, but the cache was finally spotted in a wombat burrow. Relocated to a spot that seemed to match the hint better. TFTC
Up I went,
and sure enough the tracks were spied.
Now if this was Victoria,
this olde rail line would be a rail trail for foot, bike or 'orse by now
But this is NSW
Above the rusty rails,
I soon tracked down the cache

Day 2 of our Aus weekend away, looking to be a lot cooler. We spotted this series while doing evening research. After yesterday being a fairly quiet one due to the heat and the decision to sit in some waterfalls for half a day we needed to up our numbers, the w2t and t2w seemed to be a good fit. Last before lunch, a good mornings caching thanks to the series. Tftc
Cache found quickly and in good condition.
Thanks for the cache.

Day 3 of KmanNZ VIC/NSW Summer Roadtrip 2018. Wagga Wagga to Mt Beauty via Tumbaruma (loved the name but the town was all closed.....) Albury and Wodonga. Great views and awesome driving roads and 27 caches collected. Getting close to my goal of 1000 finds for 2018.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy
Thanks for the cache.

My second of a 9 day caching road-trip holiday. After turning early last night, I woke up unfortunately very early this morning. Far colder than I was expecting when I started my morning caching before breakfast.
Today I headed West through Kosciuszko NP, A fun drive but with fewer caches than yesterday.
Thanks for the caches.

Heading away for a few days with my non caching hubby and while caching isn't the main objective, I will try a make the most of any I finds along the way, that hubby is happy to stop for. We are going to try a bit of rough camping in a swag, rather than our caravan or motor home, getting back to nature.. With no set plan but taking the opportunity to grab a few finds along the way as we weaved our way down the back tracks, heading across to Corroyong. Interesting to see the different agriculture, crops and landscapes along the way and it is so very lush at present, when other areas are very very dry.
We made some great discoveries, clever hides and generally enjoyed the caches we found, which took us to some interesting places, which we wouldn't probably see if it wasn't for caching. Hubby enjoyed the weekend and even found the odd cache. We had a few good laughs along the way.
This was a very scenic drive that we enjoyed. I wandered up the hill and made this harder than it should have been. Made the find eventually so I could sign log for a smiley.
Thanks MrsRoosta for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Had been a previous DNF but while we were birdwatching, baby spotted the container on the top of the bank on the other side of the railway cutting. Baby scrambled down and retrieved the cache. Signed log and replaced at GZ. And I got to log a Scarlet Robin on my bird list! TFTC

Some interesting history in the old railroad lines around Australia. A quick find, cache was out in the open, looks like an animal may have moved it. I’ve put it back where I think it belongs but the cache owner might like to check. T4TC

Australia Day 2018 Long weekend Trip to Jindabyne for lake diving and on to Wagga to catch up with Riverina caches. Day 3. Today started with the breakfast event and then I jumped in the car and traveled to Wagga via Tumbarumba. The weather stayed clear today, a bit of a surprise. I had come along this road to do the T2W series. I did most of it today and few others as well. It was great to see the remains of the old railway along the way.
