Did not find it, though we found the best hiding spot with evidence of it being there. I suggest coming and having a look if it is still here because we think it is gone. TFTC
We came, we searched, unfortunately we didnt conquer. Thanks anyway Pinkpiggy7. Will keep a watch on this one.
Found it within 10 seconds, the youngest has dreamed of finding a geocache before the rest of the family and finally found it first. TFTC!
Went and did some caching on the weekend with the wife around upper Beaconsfield.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Out on a Christmas break with sir_spectre, exploring southern Victoria grabbing lots of smilies, finding caches in LGA's and of course signing a few more challenges.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Came up here to get the nearby challenge caches and get some more caches in this LGA. quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

*Gembrook Scout Awards Ceremony Adventure #10*
I had an awards ceremony for Scouts Victoria in Gembrook. I don't get to this side of town very often, so of course I'm going to pick up a few caches.
Another quick park-and-grab. Thankfully, minimum CITO required at this one.
Thanks heaps, Pinkpiggy7!

To many people are finding our caches in breach of lockdown provisions, disabling until things are open again.
Interesting history, cache was in the open so has been placed back a bit more securely. TNLNSL TFTC

Great weather and a free Sunday so decided to go caching with some geo friends out East.
Another quick driveby along the track south.

Today, buhfuhguh and I were out on another caching run, this time in the Upper Beaconsfield/Emerald region with a focus on passing by Cardinia Reservoir before the weather started to heat up and our battle plan was forced to change.
A very hot day for geocaching but still a lot of fun (and nothing that the Astra's air con couldn't handle) filled with plenty of fantastic finds along the way!
buhfuhguh had already found this one in the past so I hopped out of the car and quickly came across a likely hiding spot that had the cache stashed away in it.
The log was signed and all replaced for the next finders.
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache!

We found his cache today on our Late Afternoon South of Cardinia Reservoir Romp. "HA" made the find here in a spot I had missed. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Found this one on the way though for a social distance catch up with a friend. Noting it is disabled, but new cache are being published again, so I think the game is on again. TFTC
A bit of a play around with a new type of GPS .... Lots to learn to make the most of this unit.

Second of three finds on a wet GF-eve. Geo senses were well tuned for this cache tftc
As usual it seems when I am caching out in these parts it’s an early start and as many caches as I can find before I need to head off to other more mundane tasks. After a struggle at the last cache I headed on to this one. This was a much more straight forward task as I parked up and spied a target nearby. Just waited for some muggle vehicle traffic to pass and I had the cache in hand. My ninth find of twelve on a pleasant morning to be out this way. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.
Caching 2 days in a row - quite rare for me this year.
Heading up to get a new Challenge cache and stopped for a few on the way.
This was the first and a quick find. Cache in good condition.

We're chasing Victoria's first Adventure Lab tour, and picking up caches along the way. Starting at around 9:30am, we finished the Geocaching Adventure at about 4:30pm - we took it pretty easy today and had a great time. This was one of the caches we found along the way. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.

Ilukaperi and I were out to knock of the two remaining lab caches that we hadn't found, which are in this area. Our goal was to do just that, then some wherigos and then some nightcaching, but the rain put a stop to the nightcaching. We stopped and grabbed this one because it is a bit of a rarity for us. Theres not too many around that she has already found that I haven't. This was one of them and so she took great delight in standing back and watching me look for the cache. Thankfully I found it quickly. TFTC!
A quick and easy park and grab as we were passing by.

I was heading home from Officer where I had been working this morning and taking the scenic route so I could look for a cache or two (or more actually!). So far my day had been rather mixed with more failures than successes. Counting #1 of this series among my failures, I stopped for this one and was happy to make a quick find.

While out with Blazer Triaz we were asked by another cacher friend that a torch may have been left here so lucky enough it was still there. And then with the log signed it was complete for the night.
Out and about looking for a torch dropped in the woods, we made a decision....Cache time.
Nice and quick one. TFTC!

Well, what can I say other than I have been very very inactive that last couple of months couple that with some lack of logging from the past couple of geocaching days it equates to me not having done anything at all really....... but I digress. So today I woke up a little early to e sure that both the food and some caches could be found before I head off to work tonight. Today was a rather successful day with many finds. I do apologize for the generic log but am rather mentally fried after my third-year uni exams. Thx for the cache and the lovely day.
Heading home from the event in Beaconsfield this morning and had some time to myself so decided to get some caches while heading home. Tftc.
Found it! Made a spontaneous stop here to find the cache which was easy but I couldn’t find a pen!! I’m sure I put about 10 in the car recently!! Wonder where they all went?? Anyway TFTC. I can send a blurry photo of a flying pink pig on a fence post if you like?!
Catching up on some late logs.
We were at home when the sun came out and we thought we should go and do some caching. As we had solved the Anzac series not long after they came out this is where we headed and this one popped up on the screen after we finished the series and were heading home back down the hill.
As ex residents we knew the history of the area but enjoyed being reminded of it.
The cache was a nice quick find in an obvious location and our name was added to the log.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for a pleasurable aftrernoon's caching.

The weather finally came good and I headed off to a CITO and then attempted some caches closer to home. After a feed of fish and chips from my favourite shop in Hallam, I headed here to find some caches I've been wanting to find for quite some time. A quick find here and then on to the next.

I was sitting at home today and had finished what I needed to do but with the weather forecasting rain again I was debating on what to do. Netflix looked good but after a hour or so of no rain and even a small patch of sun I grabbed the umbrella and headed out anyway.
I headed off down the freeway and then into the lovely Beaconsfield hills to search for the new ANZAC caches. After finding all of those nice and quickly I decided to head home and look for a few of whatever I passed on the way home.
Easy parking area near the intersection and an obvious location lead to a nice quick find.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Drive past this one many times, so I though I would stop this time. Grabbed the cache in between passing muggles under the watchful eye of a curious horse.
