Logs
Found it but that is just ridiculous how is anyone ment to sign it specially kids that do this please put it down closer for people
We are going to log this as a find as we can see it but as seniors decided in the interest of our well being we would not retrieve it to sign the log book. Hope you understand. Thank you for the cache.
This was tricky to retrieve but we got there in the end. Logbook signed before replacing back in its place. TFTC
Coordinates changed from:
S 34° 4.258 E 140° 42.134
Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 4.285 E 140° 42.127
Distance from original: 166.2 feet or 50.6 meters.
The container has been temporarily placed high up in the tree adjacent to the memorial plaque due to the rising flood waters. Once the floodwaters recede, it will be placed back close to the original location in a similar hide, to maintain the integrity of the listing. I haven’t adjusted D/T rating as this move is just temporary and has been discussed with the reviewer.

The container has been replaced approximately 50 metres from the original location, high in a tree close to the road. This is a temporary move due to the impending flood. The container will be moved back down once the water recedes.
Away for the weekend for some R & G..(Rest & Geocaching!). We are camped in Renmark to try and clear out the town and just do a bit of sight seeing. After a Lovely Breakfast in town we set out to do a few. A quick find here, and an interesting spot for a school!...Seems a bit far out of the town but I guess way back when, it was a different demographic... TFTC
Out with iluvtrekking on our last day in Loxton. Enjoying the rural roads caching we much prefer. Thanks crane2
Another cache found with richlink as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
This is our last day in the area, so a very low key day today. Our thanks to all who have placed and maintained caches for our enjoyment.

Interesting place to put a school, thanks for giving us a reason to stop and visit it. Tftc
frmen1 and I were trying to picture a school here. Swimming lessons just out the back door? Scared a huge kangaroo at gz. Lots of tracks around. Did a swag swap. TFTC
Day 3 of a few days in Renmark checking out the sights and collecting as many hides as I can with a totally uninterested other half.
Most caches were easily found, others not so and a few had gone AWOL. A few needed some maintenance by the owners. Those have had NM logs placed on them.
The hide was quickly found although we cound not see any plaque nearby
Unfortunately the container had seen better days, brittle and broken. We had a spare container with us that was suitable so it has been replaced for the CO.
Thank you for the cache crane2, found 7/04/2022, 2:20:05 PM

Around the Riverland for the weekend due to swimming at Renmark. Grabbed this one while hubby working hard at the pool. Easy find. TFTC.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks crane2 for the cache.
This weekend, I headed to the Murray Riverland around Berri and Renmark primarily to attend the celebration event, but also to join others in some kayaking geocaching adventures. I hadn't visited this region before, and I left really enjoying the picturesque nature of the rivers, the wine-growing areas, and pretty towns. I ended up visiting Kingston on Murray, Barmera, Berri, Lyrup, Renmark, and Paringa. Three other highlights worthy of mentioning was Chambers Creek, Katarapko Island, and the historical SA-NSW surveyed border area.
Today, it was back to Katarapko Island, but a different section to what we visited yesterday. It was a quick paddle across, and a shorter walk on the island today. After that, I made a long drive with Brad&Janet towards the NSW border visiting Chowilla Game Reserve, and some of the older caches around there. I then slowly returned back to Renmark and civilisation, and with the last few hours of daylight left, visited Paringa. A very cute town. A final detour through Berri and then on to Monash, before returning home for the evening.
Unfortunately I didn't find the old school plaque to this cache, but there were some nice views of the rivers though. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I picked up a NAECexplorers pathtag too. Thanks crane2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Started near Lock Six heading back to Canoe the Riverland following many of the backwater and a bit of the Murray. I was out on the water for four days with senior students in Kayaks, camping at various bare campgrounds along the way.
Day two had us paddling into headwinds of 20-30kmph winds with gusts up to 47kmph that I recorded on my Anemometer.
Caught lots of carp at the various camps and cached along the way.
Came across some barbed wire getting to this one. I now have two matching scratches on my legs. Worth it I guess.
Thanks.

Nice views across the backwater here as we continued our little loop around Renmark North .

I had a phone call from some of my interstate friends. There was a FTF up for grabs up near the SA / NSW border. Only 230 kms from my home as the crow flies, but as I can't fly it was more like 300 by road. So I enlisted the aid of Anymules for a day of caching up that way. Three hours after leaving my house we started caching!
As the sun began to set it was time for one last cache before the three hour trip home. [^] This was a quick find in the obvious spot without having to break out the torches.
**Thanks crane2 for this cache. **

A nice easy park and grab on the way back home from the border.

A day out with Purrfect Di and Jack the Monkey.
Sausage day and we needed to get out and go shopping/caching...
Renmark seemed a good shopping location, with caches "just up the road".
The pelicans and plaque are hard to see after dark, but cache easily located to sign
Thanks to crane2 for placing this cache

A quick stop off. Interesting history here. Cache is all good

Thought it was a lovely place till I took the geodog to the water and found all the dead kangaroo carcasses like someone killed them all in one spot. Sad.

Well there were a few places near GZ that fit the clue so of course we started madly checking them instead of letting our GPS lead us to the correct one. Therefore it was found in the last one we checked.
Another well maintained cache. Certainly can't complain about the quality of the caches in Renmark!!!! Not like another town we visited on this trip to the 'big island'. 20 caches there - 10 we DNF'd and were among a long list of DNF's, and of the 10 we found over half were smashed or sodden logs or something wrong with them. Therefore we really appreciate the standard of the caches here.
Only one thing I didn't like about this visit. Ended up with our thongs fool of those little burr things. Not a lot of fun when you get up to go to the toilet during the night and tread on one of them. Glad we don't have them home in Tasmania.
And like many others only noticed the rock with the plaque as we were leaving.
Thanks.

Out with hevwalker & CPwanderer caching around the River land.
I was hoping that the nearby neighbours weren't going to come out,
as it was we heard nothing and it didn't take long to locate the cache.
We we puzzled as to where the school sign was until we all got back in the car.
Thanks for the cache crane2

Like the CO it wasn't until we were leaving that we saw the marker for the old school!!! Found with clare007 sand hevwalker!!!
In the Riverland for a big caching day with CPwanderer & clare007...
I found the cache but missed the marker...
I was sitting in the back seat so as we were leaving the area a voice from the front said there is the marker...

Out and about on this glorious first day of 2018! Quick and easy find. Such a beautiful view which I didn’t know existed out this way! TFTC!
We found this cache today at 10:30am as number 1 of 2 on trip to Renmark North to visit my old home, replace a missing cache and place a new geocache nearby the old Chaffey Oval. We did not know that this plaque and school was ever here. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
I'd arrived in Berri at about 1.30am or so this morning [)] after having ridden my VFR800 from Shepparton
Had an awesome ride with only 1 kangaroo spotted although masses of bugs splattered against my visor and bike and even me
Lying in bed about 10am when I had a SMS from Moneydork informing me that there was some new caches in the Riverland that had just been published[?] [?] I didn't know about them as I hadn't had a chance to set notifications because this trip was so last minute!
I managed to drag myself out of bed and get the bike gear on, loaded the GPSr and then hit the road.... well, the VFR hit the road while I sat on her!
On a very hot day, I did about 250kms chasing 6 FTFs out of 8 new caches (didn't go to 1 as I knew Labchick was and got 2nd on another behind a trio of Adelaide cachers) and had a blast [^]
Some good open roads to clear the bike out [:X] and some scary as all hell dirt roads with about 208kg of road bike on road tyres slipping, sliding and chattering across corrugations all at the same time Can't say caching in the Riverland is boring
Saw some cool sights and enjoyed a fun day out [^]
Made the find, enjoyed the view and held my nose because of the smell of the dead roo!
Woohoo! *FTF*
