Logs
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we had stayed the night nearby & were now heading North again took to the back-roads just to nab a couple of caches they both turned out to be easy finds, log-books completed & replaced as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,410 for us!
Found just as the sun was setting. The water really moves along in the ditch. TFTC
Miss 17 doesn't really like flying, so after she did a whirlwind trip with her friend around parts of the South Island, she asked if I would drive from Christchurch to Dunedin to pick her up. She paid for petrol and accommodation, and said I could cache the whole way! Of course, I said. Cause what Geocachers wouldn't??Stoked to put my hand on it first pop. A quick sign on the log, photos with Loves the Geobear, then on my way again. Thanks for the cache.
Mrs Biggles and I are on the road from Dunsandel to Timaru (D2T) finding a few caches along the way. This was the first one we stopped for. Cache found safe and sound as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Another tightly fitting log in the cache container, tweezers were required to extract, not even close to falling in; TFTC
Greetings from the Czech Republic and Thanks For This Cache.

The water was really racing today. A quickish find - after looking in all the obvious places first. TFTC
Out doing some work in the area, always love the chance to log a cache or two. I remember the water races well as we had then in our farm, used to go and hunt for geese eggs as they nested along the hedges along by the race. LOG NICE AND DRY TFTC
A quick stop , a few drops of rain accompanied by plenty of thunder. A quick dash and a quick find thankfully just in time.
Thanks phexish for placing a cache here. Quick find while out today with Hal2929 chasing caches not found before.
A nice quick find on our way south. Plenty of water flowing past today. TFTC.
Out and about to collect some new smilies on my map. I made a good loop today and visited some great spots and this was one of them. TFTH
On a trip down in the lower South Island with woolwood9.

Took a few mins to an this little guy, but we managed to find it and stay safe. Tftc
26 January 2021 15:19. Number 9172. It was so hot I will admit I was tempted! Glad of a quick find. TFTC
We didn’t fall in but it would have been nice to cool off in the water on such a hot day. The thermometer in the car for the outside temperature has increased to 38 degrees C.
Having a short trip from Invercargill to Christchurch with Infoferret finding lots of caches, in particular the TMGT caches for me.
The cache may be signed with our individual names or ‘IE’.
Many TFTC.

Nice wee detour off the busy main road to find this cute little cache.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
A quick detour and grab on our way to Dunedin for the long weekend. Thanks for the stop and tftc.
Quick easy find towards our final destination. Great way to break up a long drive. Didn't fall in, just! Awesome to learn something about farming didn't already know, cool!
Dropped by on the way past after my previous DNF. It took about 10 seconds this time. I shouldn't let previous DNFs put me off like that. TFTC.
hmm - having found the other one, I wonder if I was looking for something larger? Was put off a bit by previous DNFs.
Looked for ages but no success today. Maybe you can check when you are close by the next time. We guess it might be gone when the area was flooded mid December.
Quite a tricky one but Cal found it seconds after Clem gave up. The water runs so quickly here
I was heading to Temuka for the weekend, good opportunity to find a few along the way. Unlike on the map, there is no access to the old south road nearby from SH1! TFTC!!
Heading home from picking up a car in Wellington. Off the ferry and heading home but had to get a few caches on the way. This was nice and easy to find TFTC
Last one, clever hide.
Happy Birthday to me. JDScout and I are having a long weekend at Fairlie. We had a fantastic day skiing at Dobson today. Thankfully there was still a little time for geocaching. Thanks phlexish for placing this geocache 7616 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Beeba found this one after a thorough search somewhere I thought I had already looked.
Sorry for the late logging, I got side tracked downloading my photos for the trip and forgot to finish of the job. I was on the way to Timaru for dinner and decided to make the small detor to grab these two caches when I didn't have any bored children with me. Cache was a quick find.
Thanks for the smilie.
Thanks for the smilie.
Couldnt locate as amatuers it could just be us. Everything overgrown though. Will try another day.
Quick park and grab on the way back to the beach. Found with Conbat and Rileylowe11. TFTC!
Heading home after a fun weekend in Christchurch and a few planned stops along the way to help me with my goal of getting to #3000 by the end of the year. Bit of a detour along this road and a quick find TFTC
I am off today to locate and sign off at least 6 caches for my personal challenge. I have parked my snail shell up at Ealing for a few days to allow me to discover this area's caches.
The previous cacher had made it very difficult to extract the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
After completing the river trail in Geraldine and finding a quick snack for tea it was time to head for home. Cut across to the main road to avoid the frosty iceness of the inland road. Snuck in this sideroad for the couple caches along it. No probs here - didn't fall in (tick) and found the cache (tick)...yay!

A wee day trip today to Geraldine and back. A nice day for it, not too hot, nor too cold.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Found after quite a search and needed our trusty dentist's tool to remove and then had to use it again to open the container. Exactly where GZ was noted on the Montana. A super little hide. Thanks.
We have never been down this Road before,so it was a nice change getting off the busy Highway..
Found quickly and no we were very carefull and didn't fall in.TFTH

A quick find on the way home after a trip to Te Anau to see my son compete in Godzone Adventure. Tftc!
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a Waitangi Day excursion to mid Canterbury, concentrating on the area between SH1 and the Rangitata and Ashburton rivers.
I wonder how long ago this was the old main road? Good that this part of it was sealed. A quick find for SW. TFTC.

Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots. many thanks the cache - Bitsprayer
Warm enough to want to.
I recall 20 years ago driving tractors in midcanterbury during 30C days. One day it was just too much as there was no cab on the tractor so stoped at the end of the field and stuck my head into the water race.\

7735. Quick find. Not quite where the hint suggested. Three days caching holiday around Geraldine. TFTC Rodney and Iris.
Nice quick find on our way back from Christchurch after our outing with nice views from the Christchurch gondola cheers
Got a new bike for Christmas so decided to go for a drive down to the Orari river MTB rack. Found a few on the way down and back as well. Enjoyed my day out and the bike went pretty well, shame about the operator. Thanks to all the CO's for the hides and sorry about the cut and paste.
