Couldn't find my own cache, spent ages looking for it. Anyway, I have another idea for here, watch this space.
We skipped about 3 caches along here because someone was sitting along this straight and I'm sure 'wheel ' be back. Tftc
Not sure what kind of bird poops that much, but don't want to be here when it comes back!
Flossieteacake found this one first. The rest of us had started looking in the wrong place. TFTC
Nice bike ride along here today picking up some missed ones from previous trip. Got this one this time around, nearly missed it.

Nice easy find here and replaced as found, thanks g.
Headed out a little early from work tonight and was keen to progress my work on fmz's Adventure Lab series. I managed another 2 in that series as well as making a healthy dent in the motorway side trail from gorby et al, thanks guys. A good evening for caching with reasonable temperatures and low wind speeds, t f t c all COs.

Out West geocaching with Kirstim and Vistra. A beautiful spring day and perfect for cycling from Avondale through to The Westgate. Signed the log as VAK to save time and space. Found easily, no issues here. TFTC
Great day for a bike ride with Vistra & AliGle, with our main aim to complete the Adventure Lab from Mangere to Westgate. With cars parked at both end wen rode from Avondale through the Oakley Creek track and up the North Western cycle way. All logs signed as VAK to save space. Thanks for the cache. No probs here
Easy . We are enjoying the walk. Amazing day, warm and mild. Lots of people on bikes
Just noticed a pattern which may have helped finding some of the ones further west. Another time for those. Tftc
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
Enjoyed your good caches along the motorway, Gorbygorbachov, this one has no favourites - until now.

Off with eyespyben to have a crack at the North Western cycleway in the
rain, which cleared to a nice day, a big thanks to all the Cos for some neat
hides and cameos, awesome placements on a very busy trail.

A nice quick find today.
Its Christmas holiday time and Auckland family is the destination. I sneaked away for a couple of hours for a wee bit of caching. It was fairly quiet along the trail today, apart from the fire engines, police cars and ambulance on the motoway at a car accident. The car was a bit shorter than it was before the crash!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Its not often we have time for a bike ride and some caching on Xmas Day, But we did this year. Lovely weather for a nice bike ride down the North Western Cycleway. No troubles here to locate. SL. TFTC.
Find number 6096. Second day in Auckland collecting caches. I had some time between the CITO and the Quiz so decided to cycle this trail. An interesting range of caches along it. Weather was goo. My speed was considerable slower than most of the other cyclists I saw. An island in a sea of rocks. Thank you for the placement
Nice easy find here. Gee those bikes absolutely fly along this footpath. Freezing wind so glad of the quick find. TFTC
As I caught up to Aquinos after the previous cache I saw that he'd already spotted and retrieved this one. TFTC!
Out along the cycle way with Team Welsh. She had found some of these, but with a car at each end, we had a pleasent walk picking up caches.
Found 9.40am
Loaded push bike in wagon this weekend and headed up to the big smoke.
Sort of a plan made and thought western motorway trail looked good.
Got dropped off at Waterview and was soon on to the cycle/walkway. Boy is this a busy place with walkers, runners and cyclists of all shapes and sizes and coming at you from both ways.
Had to keep your wits about you and really needed eyes in the back of your head.
Didn't bring charger or any TOTT with me with a couple of tricky containers to open on the way, but managed. One where hide had been returned back to front with answer showing the way. Had to improvise to get cache out, but something blue and about 1.5 metres long helped me get that #3, so returned correct way round. SL'sTFTC's

When I left home I planned on doing these caches. Enjoyed the caches and bike ride
With part of Team BOP - (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, and NZFlossy... All logs were signed RoT - Rotorua or Tauranga. We have been planning this mini raid of Auckland for a short time. We have discovered that we need a small push to kick onto our next milestone. Hopefully, this weekend's haul of caches will bring us a little closer...
We decided to focus much of our attention on Te Atatu this weekend. The sheer number of caches, the walkability factor, and the rumor of some high quality caches sounded appealing... We also agreed to stay together on the trail rather than split up - This proved to be a good idea considering the reputation and hiding prowess of the COs in this area. Four pairs of eyes didn't miss much...
Back on the North Western Cycleway. We have already concluded that today will be about strategic parking and walking if we are going to complete this trail... We were beginning to notice a build up of cyclist numbers, and it was neat to see a wide range of ages enjoying a fairly pleasant afternoon. However, four cachers stopping frequently is enough to catch the attention of passersby. So it was good to get some more quick finds through here and move along so as not to draw attention to our activity. Spotted the marker and found... Thanks Gorbygorbachov and TFTC.

On an Auckland adventure with three other BOP cachers. An early start with lots of fun and a night in the big smoke. I don’t venture up here very often but we were on a mission. Thanks to the COs for some great caches Signed as Team ROTTFTC
On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, NZ Flossy, Squirrel Nutcase and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed ROT and I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 7 caches today. It was time to get the bike out and sign off a few along the SW cycleway.
Saw the 'marker' and then the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

All good here. Replaced paper and made the cache a lot more obvious with white 'marker'.
So happy!!! This one was well hidden! Almost gave up and had to try a few others along the route to get an idea before trying again. All about the angles. Get down get low. #limecaching tftc!
Spent a while searching for this one on the rocks, couldn't find it in the end
This one nearly broke us!!!!! Had to continue to a few more along the route to get a feel for CO's style. Came back and even then it took some hunting. All about the angles. Get down low. #limecaching
Out for a bike ride today from Blockhouse Bay down Waterview along to this cycle way and of course to check out all the hard work of these placed caches. Don’t know how far we will get...
No luck here, continued along the path to others and came back, still no luck and battery running out now. I will be back. I’m over thinking it... dam rocks!

After getting home late last night I had the day off today so what better way to spend a couple of hours of it than by grabbing a cache or two. I had seen the ones along this cycleway for quite some time and decided that I would try and find some of them today. I am also currently trying to maintain a current daily geo-streak and also trying to collect all of the Cache Carnival series badges. After parking close to the rainbow I made my way along the cycleway on foot. After meeting the Russian General and after doing a spot of Fishing... or should I say 'No Fishing', I moved onto this one. Once I arrived at GZ I made a nice quick find here. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its hiding spot all ready for the next finder. Thank you Gorby for taking the time to set up these caches along here. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC.
I took some time around the middle of the day, today, between chores and errands to find some hides. Part of my outing included targeting the tunnel end of this walk/cycle way. Perhaps I should have targeted it earlier in the day, because the sun is now out and in full force. Oh well, I am here now and there are caches to find. After finding "No Fishing" I made my way along the path to GZ. Took a few minutes before I got the right angle to detect this one. Cheers for the cache placement!
I've tried several times to find this without success in the past Today was my lucky day but it did take some searching still. TFTC
Decided that today was the day to tackle all these caches along the NorthWestern cycleway. Agreed to bring my almost 5-year-old niece and 7 1/2 and 8-year old nephews along with me. We tackled this on our scooters. The weather was perfect - warm but not too sunny. All up we scooted over 8km (I'm not sure who will be more tired tonight - me or the kids!).
I watched as the kids took to searching. It didn't take too long for them to hunt down this one.

Final one of 25 caches located whilst biking around 20 kms (return) of the Northwestern cycleway today. Great weather and an enjoyable ride, but quite noisy at times alongside the motorway. Didn’t take too long to find which was fortunate after a previous search amongst the rocks (two caches back) had turned into a rather prolonged ordeal. We weren’t up for another cache like that! Mrs tbird spotted this one reasonably early in the piece, before we ended today’s mission with a 2.5 km bike ride back to the car. #2163. TFTC.
nice day for a ride and really enjoyed the treasures to be found on the cycleway
thank!

Found the shiny bison about 6’away from the hide, miracle ithadnt slipped away out of sight
All ok now

Beautiful day for a ride along the cycleway, cache and logs checked, new paper placed, carry on caching people!
Having had a lunch break, and with renewed energy levels, we headed back the car parking spot, and needed to collect the last remaining caches along this trail......

I had located Ol' Squarepants a couple of months ago, and returned today for a quick easy find. But as things turned out he took a while to find today. Eventually I spotted something that made me take a closer look, and there was the cache - a lot more obscured than the last time I saw him. Happy to have cleared out this section of the cycleway. Thanks.
Out on a nice day picking up some more smiley faces along the NW m'way. I have been looking at this series and decided it was time for a bike ride today. Thanks Gorby.

What a great day to have a stroll along this walkway collecting caches as we went. Nice quick find. TFTC.
There are several along here that have been giving me heartburn, so I returned today to see if I could clean up this stretch of the bike way. I parked at a tire store (with permission) and hiked all the way over here. After quite a bit of stone turning, I finally spotted something that fit the title. TFTC.
Out and about with Team SEAC today for a bike ride along the northwestern cycleway. With so many eyes searching the cache was soon in hand. Cache signed as Team SEAC to save space. 13 of us in total made quite a chain of bikes along the trail. Found with darthcacher1, purply, keylev, NZTravellers, Liver Kiwi, cragger, laval, lordcacher, NZIceman.
A lovely spring day out with some of the team SEAC crew. Hemaludy, Keylev, Liverkiwi and numerous geokids decided to take a bike ride along the North Western motorway cycle way and collect a few caches and get some fresh air. 12km, 3 hours and 20 caches later we arrived back at the cars with a few jelly legged, sore bottomed and hungry crew – but very pleased with our efforts today. Signed logs as team SEAC and enjoyed all the cache hides along the way.
We were warned there was another square pants earlier, so this one didnt fool us! TFTC!

Joined team SEAC for a ride down the north western cycle trail. Was a busy day with lots of muggle bikers moving really fast and coming out of nowhere, or so it seemed!. Got all the geokids in a line and managed to avoid any crashes or injuries. Signed the logs as Team SEAC to save time and log paper. Many thanks for all the caches. I would give favs many times if I could but I don’t have any!
cant fool us!

Today was really the last chance the HKCB and I had had to gather the required intellegence (caches) for the Hidden Souviner Challenge and as such, since we had only begun collecting caches towards this last week, time was rapidly running out.
All caches signed as "HKCD"
So come wet or fine we were to collect caches. So plans were hatched and we departed at 'Oh My God its only 3am" from Hamilton headed for the big smoke (Home by 3pm). Rain it was to be for the start of the day, clearing up by about 9am then as we packed the car and got on the motorway heading south it started again. We just laughed heartidly at our good fortune.
We did well for the day with myself collecting some 65 caches towards the total and only about 3-4 DNF's, so for all that good work we have left quite the hole in the map ready for the next visit.
At this point it was time to get out the bikes and hope for the best that the rain would hold off and see how we would last without getting wet, we actually managed the entire journey. A great collection of caches along here and thankfully the rain may have put off many of the cyclisits so it wasn't too croweded along the way.
Thank you all the CO's for your fantastic contributions to our days efforts and may your wars continue to populate the Geocaching Maps. I know they are generic logs but then sometimes you get that.
Thank you for the cache, thank you for the placement

With the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs ending soon, and not much of a tally to my name so far one big push was going to be needed to get over the line. Cats&Dragons was is a similar boat, so after a quick scout of the maps Te Atutu, and the nearby motorway cycleway looked like just the ticket to get us both the numbers we needed.
A early start of 3am (this is getting more and more regular) from hamilton saw us starting the hunt just before 5am. The weather wasn't playing along at first as we had drizzle for the first hour or so, but it cleared up once the sun came up and stayed away right up to the point we headed for home. It turned out to be a very successful day with more than enough found to uncover all the Hidden Creatures.
We found a great varity of caches over the day, with some really great hides as well as one or two that were too good for us, or muggles had got them. I'll mention a few here and there that were extra memorable as I get to them, but unfortunetly I only have time for a cut and paste log for most. However a huge thanks to the CO's as the quality of caches were very high.

Off on a caching mission today with DaffyNZ to collect enough numbers to complete the Hidden Creatures souvenir challenge. Left Whangarei just after 7:30 am with the bikes strapped on the back and made good time, so were unloading at Pt Chev well before 10. The weather was looking great, so we loaded up and headed off along the cycling paths, which were actually a lot busier than anticipated. But I can really see why - they are fantastic and a great asset to the city. By the end of the day we had 56 finds under the belt, the souvenir challenge completed and only half a dozen DNFs along the way.
Stopped off here and a search quickly turned up ol' spongebob. Neat wee cache this one too. TFTC

Out on a sunny afternoon trying to find more Hidden Creatures. Nice hide. Thanks Gorby.
Mr P and I had a careful searxh of the area and came up the goods without too much trouble at all. T4tc
I made an early start this frosty/foggy morning and jumped on the bike to join up with yorkshirekiwi83 and Jacksonz at a Geocaching Meetup event along the Northwestern Motorway, signing the logs as "Meetup" to save space. Walked around the rocks and soon spotted the cache here. TFTC!
Auckland Geocaching Meetup group met today to focus on the caches along the motorway, we consisted of myself, sivartnz and Jacksonz. We completed the series on bikes, it was very short cycling sections between them all i hadnt realised there were so many, but it was much quicker getting home. Thanks to mainly Gorby for all the caches we collected today but also to any other CO's for adding to the tally.
Another off path search and we soon had it in hand TFTC

Out on a Saturday morning for the Auckland Geocaching Meetup bike trip. Another rock search, but sivartnz soon spotted. Gives us an idea to what to look for on the one we missed.
Another find for us here on this sunny afternoon but a similar one before did help us out. Both feeling like we are getting good at this.
Today in my spare time I decided to head back out West to find a few more caches - although not as far west as on my last visit... I've found a few caches along this cycleway in the past so today I was out to find a few more (on foot). This one took a bit of careful examination of the surroundings. Finally spotted something of interest that wasn't quite what I was expecting, and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
After a fun morning at the library working out a Geronimo Stilton mystery (including having to taste different cheeses) the geo-kids and I headed out this way with our bikes for a ride and some caching. It was a lovely ride and we missed the rain by a few minutes for which I was very grateful.
No issues with the coordinates here...in fact they were perfect and led us straight to the clever little hid here.
Thanks for the cache.
