8:00am.After all these decades, this vacant lot is finally being developed.Cannot get close to GZ for the fencing. Will need to fashion a new container and readjust the coordinates also. Will look to have this back up and running in early 2025.Apologies for the hassle.Much Obliged, - Alephroom.
current construction going on , tried to find it and i couldnt , hope its not lost forever
Well it wasnt right under my thumb but it probably was right under my nose and I just couldnt see it
Searched and searched but no luck, very busy today tho and my nav kept jumping around so will try again another day...
A quick find after parking in a nearby side street. Interesting cache container. Signed the log as TN.
no, that was a very interesting one to find. Definitely enjoyed that. Took me about 10 minutes and did it during peak hour/after school hours
Streak day #9
Left the house at 11pm with the intention of a quick find. DNF at location 1, and this location nearly being shutdown by construction workers. We parked on a side street and luckily this cache was out of view.
Took a few laps but made the plunge and found shortly after. I tossed the cache to DBJ over the fence while I stood within, trying not to disturb a large spider right in front of me. She took way to long with the legal but thankfully the arachnid wasn’t interested and crawled back into its leaf. Returned as found. Great camo! TFTC !!

An afternoon of Covid safe geocaching in my LGA took me around some interesting caches.
And with Covid restrictions in place, traffic is relatively light so I could easy snoop around. The cache was found quickly and after signing duties were completed the cache was carefully replaced.

5/5 today - I wrongly signed a few of the logs 2-1-2021 !
I had to avenge my DNF on "Under My Thumb" - www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7GKNH - trust the GPS and don't be distracted by that sleeper ! Creative hide. Cache is in good order but I only deserve half a point as I had to PAF. TFTC
Then off on a walk of a few km for a few more;
"It's A Bit Nippy" https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC77MFJ - I wondered about the name ! Was it in the water ? A quick find, though I did hesitate going there as it has had 3 months of growth. A great bush track. Cache is in good shape. TFTC
Now off to "Ranger Pete (honorary)" www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5DQXV. Nice history lesson about the family and the area. Again 4 months since the last find so I was glad to have the hint on this one. Cache is in good condition. Thanks for the work you put into this one.
Onto "Cameron's Cache" www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC12NFB- Um! A DNF back in October and last found August, 2020 ! Doubtful ! This Pioneer Walking Track is really a fantastic area of bushland most notably different to other bush tracks in this area like Hunts Creek and Seville Reserve due to the abundance of tall straight River Red Gums also a lot of bird feeders, possum hides and water dragons. I'll do this walk many more times. I took the middle track past the cache and looped back high side. An easy find due to a good hint. A big cache full of lots of great little trinkets for the kids. Well done. I took a small Brachiosaurus for my Grandson and left a few acorns from Under My Thumb. Bushed it down carefully to the lower track on the way out. Favourite point for this one.
Last one for today was "Preservation" www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7FYCD. I'm glad I read the logs about dress code ! I once wrote a song with the line "Lantanna doesn't listen" man that stuff is bad and can scratch you up. A large cache full of interesting items but little place to sit today after the rain overnight, it was steamy and there were mossies so I quickly signed the log book and put it all back together. The parcel did intrigue me ! TFTC.
Back to the car to drive home and off we go and big spider fell from my hat right between my legs - that log about long pants saved me again. Instant squish !
Right what's on TV this arvo !!
Thanks all.

After jumping the fence, I realised it was a waste of time. Logged it in the end. TFTC
Camo had me fooled today. Lots of stuff that looks out of place but none that I examined revealed the cache.
What a clever and trick hide cache! sevabo and I arrived here and took a few mins to find it. This is a favourite from me. TFTH
Well worth the walk to GZ to find this cleverly constructed container. And nice to bring that boppy little tune to mind. SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
This one took me a little while.
My first issue was negotiating the vegetation in the dark of post midnight.
And once I found my way into the GZ, it took me longer than I care to admit to notice the clever housing.

A very, very hot day, doing vertical rescue assessments on the nearby rocks, when it got to 50!!! Degrees at ground level due to radiance of the rock surface we called it quits. On my way back to the South coast now, making some random stops here and there. Cute!

After receiving a PAF call for another cache in the area i decided to head up this way after work to grab a cache for my streak and check on the state of the other cache.
I arrived at the tail end of the afternoon school pickup period and was happy to find a park around the corner from the GZ.
It took me a couple of changes of lights to locate it but i really liked the design.
Worth a FP for originality.
Thanks.

OCW Morty8888. After finding a park in a side street we walked around to the busy road and along to gz where a quick find was had by Morty8888. TFTC Alpheroom.
OCW Oldmorty and have driven through this intersection for many years. First time I have walked it and with the shrubbery cover, it was an easy find with a very well constructed cache. TFTC!
Tricky. GPS all over the place. Which side of the fence is it ? Best advice I found in the logs was look for something that does not fit. TFTC.

I drive pass this location every day to work.
Today I finally stopped to collect this one.
After parking in a side street and walking to GZ I was trying to narrow down the location.
My first thought was it on the other side of the fence. I soon realised it was not.
I soon spotted something that was not quite right and bingo.
I completed the log and placed it all back.
Good camouflage of the logbook.

10:02am. Second cache check up on my two day cache maintenance run. The irony of my hiding a cache here along this busy road and finding it too daunting myself to access it easily So much traffic and and so many people watching, I really should just ignore them.
All is well with this cache. Camouflage is still going strong. Cache on! С Днём Рождеством!

Passing close we detoured to get a parking spot and wondered over. Plenty of traffic so timed a search inbetween lights and then the nice bit of camo was spotted. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Quick find for me today to complete 31 day challenge . Nice camo all good at the cache Thanks for the placement Cheers
One of the more exposed caches I’ve ever done, but not too bad.
Mercifully made the find very quickly with a well designed container - Much appreciated.
Slight cover from the road came in handy.
Thanks for the cache!

Thankfully a quick find as I felt very exposed and as I'm not see through from waiting traffic. Really good hide, thanks Alephroom
Nice quick find on the way home from work today. Quick grab and sign as I hid behind the bush between traffic light changes. Good camo. TFTC.
3/7/18. 3:35 PM. Cache #5578.
3rd of 4 finds - Dundas Valley, Carlingford, Beecroft.
Caching my way home from work; this was only a short drive away from "Music with Rocks In", and parking on Roselea Ave looked like the best way to go given how busy all of the other roads were nearby. Wasn't that big of walk around the corner to GZ.
Traffic near GZ was already quite solid; the cars stopped for the red light were back well past GZ so if I searched now I'd have an audience. The light changed, and with the cars moving, I made a quick grab for something I had noticed on approach. Yep, cache in hand! SL and replaced as found, just before the traffic started slowing again. Back to the car and time for one more search, at "Here We Go Round The Lemon Tree". TFTC.

Stopped off after leaving the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road Dural, for this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to head off to work, with maybe just a few more caches before jumping onto the Motorway to Mascot. This was the 3rd of 4 finds, and 1 DNF, for the day.
Parked the geomobile in Roselea Way, then wandered up and around to GZ for a look. Quickly spotted something interesting and, on closer inspection, it was CIH. Signed the log sheet then returned it to it's nice bit of camo, before replacing as found. It's another busy place, but thankfully the trees & shrubs provide shielding from the busy roadway. Parking close by and walking to GZ, I saw many cars going by, stopping, going by. But you know what, they probably don't see me.
I remember right near GZ there being a huge stump, and I was going to put a cache in it and call it 'get it before it's gone'. Turns out it was removed before I could do anything. So this one will do. I spied the camo and found the cache. SL and replaced. Clever. TFTC.

After having found the nearby I Will, we walked up to this cache. Lots of cars stopping for the red lights, but what could they do...
Even at this hour traffic is heavy around here. Spotted cache on a walk past then wait for traffic to clear. Walked away to sign and wait for traffic to be able to return. Thanks for the cache

I'm sure the truckies thought I had ducked behind the bushes for nefarious reasons. Anyway, I emerged discreetly but obviously looking happier.... I wonder if that's why they wolf-whistled me. Haha.. Nice hide!

Just the one today. Busy with many things, so finally got out to grab one cache close to home after sunset.
Parked a short distance away and made my way to GZ. I actually remember when there was a house on this corner, so have no idea why the lot has been vacant for so long.
Anyway, great coordinates and even by Geoheadlamp light I spotted something suss immediately. CIH!
Opened and signed, then replaced and out of there. Nice job with the camo.

Heading down to Ermington to check the Geocaching NSW post box I thought it was finally time I stopped to have a look for this. Parked around the corner (well a couple of them) and walked back. A fairly quick find for me after checking a couple of wrong options. Thanks Alephroom.

I'm not sure it's the greatest place to hide a cache, and I'd normally avoid such locations, but I was in Beecroft for lunch so I decided to grab it on the way through.

Wait for traffic to go look. Wait for traffic to go sign. Wait for traffic to go put back.
I walked up to this one with coords spot on. I found a break in the traffic to sneak in and I’m looking around but not seeing anything. Um... is my phone playing up today or is it me? Seeing the previous logs of people finding it today made me realise it was me. Damn... and it’s hot. Time to get serious. I moved the cache twice before I realised I had it all along! Clever! Log signed as CB. TFTC!
Tftc, with caches near home running out, I am resorting to some detours when I go to the shops. The wife always asks what took so long when I get home...

If only Pennant Hills Rd would always be as free flowing as it was this morning... Parked near the coffee van and then made my way to GZ. Not too many spots for this one to be hiding and one in particular looked to be under thumb. Tried to time the signing duties while traffic was flowing and then walked around the block back to the car.

Companions: None
Muggles: Not too bad, considering
Weather: Pleasant summer morning
Cache condition: Good
I decided to go for a morning jog combined with some caching, and chose this area for a change. I found a few caches to the west / northwest, then headed down Pennant Hills Road to GZ. The road wasn't too busy being a Sunday morning, but there were a few so hopefully the jogging attire was sufficient "reason" to be in an unusual spot. There was a glove at GZ, which fortunately wasn't a TOTT for the quickly-spotted hide. TNLNSL, then I headed back west along North Rocks Rd, taking a detour to make the run's length reasonable. TFTC

What’s with all the council workers today?! A quick find, pity about the traffic.
Clever little hide. Spotted quite quickly great idea. Luckily we scavenged the car for a broken pencil to sign log. Tftc
Nice little hide. Was able to find a broken pencil in car so could sign the log. Was unsure where to park; but all good; found pretty quickly TFTC
Came by from Lemon Tree. Another music based series - remember all those U2 themed ones out west and then another lot around North Rocks about oldies. Well here we go. I remember this song pumping out of the juke box in London when I lived there in the late 80s. It was already quite old then but amazingly popular with the crowd staying at the hostel I lived in.
This was a relatively quick find - a bit of cover at least. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!

The one advantage of this busy road is trucks when they stop at lights - they provide excellent muggle shielding.

Headed along the very busy road after a quick find at Rainbow Farm Reserve.
Seeing a gap in the traffic I ducked behind for some cover and soon spotted something that looked very interesting.
I love these nicely crafted handmade caches.
Waiting for another break in the traffic before rejoining the path

The third of my cache checks tonight, checked this at 9:50pm. All is well, cache on! L’chaim!
I drive past this intersection a lot, in all directions. I've even done my running training along here, except on the other side of Pennant Hills Road. I always look at this vacant land and wonder about it. Since I started caching I've thought this would be a good challenging spot to place a cache, and here it is!!
I parked in North Rocks Road and walked around. It was mid morning but there was still masses of traffic so as I approached GZ I was thinking this could be difficult.
However the caching gods were onside and stopped a double semi-trailer right alongside so I was able to locate the cache, extract the log, sign it and replace everything all out of prying eyesight - how lucky is that!
