We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect some of the new Puzzle, Wherigo, and Letterbox caches, and a new Adventure Lab, that have appeared around Warragamba since our last visit to the area. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains for a couple of new Adventure Labs and a challenge cache, and revisiting a few DNFs from the previous trip, mostly NE of Penrith. Photos will be uploaded to some logs on our return to home base. This was our 2nd of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 2nd find of the holiday.
This one was next, pulling off busy Richmond Road and into the side street, then walking around to GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Deep_99.

A pretty quick find while while cherry picking my way along Richmond Rd to Windsor this morning ... yep, just doing the ones close to parking. Thanks for the hide Deep99.
OCW aubeasty today to try and bring my yearly numbers back up before the end of the year. COVID, no NSW mega and more work than usual have meant that my numbers haven’t been crash hot. A lovely sunny day made the perfect way to rectify this situation by bike.
Not in the tree you think it would be in.

True to the hint, it was just hanging around, enjoying the shade! Not much shade for the humans, though!

I went to the wrong side for this one, but bikerbuddy spotted on the other. Easy to see once you know where to look.

To complete the final stage of my Night at the Museum challenge, I needed a few more caches. This series on and around Richmond Road has been on my radar for a long time, so now it is the time to dust off my foldable push bike and get going.
It turned out to be a nice afternoon with many finds and over 15km of bicycle fun,

Decided to go caching this way north today. Did not really check any weather and just left early. As I was already driving for an hour the radio was talking about 40+ temps, what did I get myself into? Still sticked to the plan, did a nice bike ride in sub 30 at that time and a nice breeze. As it really got hot I had shelter in my car and was able to do a lot of driveby's. Thanks for putting out all those caches!

Last find for the day and only just managed to get it too.
Kept checking the wrong one and was about to give up when I stepped back for a broader look and managed to see it. Hooray!

What a fun way to spend the last day of the school holidays with the kids. With the pushbikes and a mountain of enthusiasm we parked about half along this mini series before find the ones in a westerly direction first.
Peddling back into the headwind proved difficult but we eventually found all the ones to the east, before feasting on Macca's for lunch. Thanks for a fun series of caches that the Rats and mini rats enjoyed doing together.

Came out here with the Rats for a bit of fun on our bikes. While the skies were gloomy and the wind blew hard into our face, it didn't stop us finding this series of caches and earning a stop at Maccas and Starbucks.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found it walked in the wrong direction however walking back we spotted it geotoddler was excited tftc
Found by Mary & David at 1405. Spotted this one pretty quickly. Dinner tonight with special friends who we met on an Outback Spirit tour from Darwin to Broome about 10 years ago. Our thanks to Deep_99.
Today was a beautiful Sunday and we decided to go out West and finish off the Richmond Road Cache Path, which we had commenced upon some months ago. Our method was to park the car in the middle of some caches, then walk first south, then north and then back to the car. We then moved the car and repeated the exercise. After having completed the remaining 11 caches today the step counter in the phone showed a bit more than 8000 steps.
This cache we first started to look around the structure at GZ, but after a while we realised that the cache was not there, but close by.

I received a reminder that I only had a week left to claim the final souvenir, so I hitched my biked onto the rack and headed out to Richmond Rd.
After parking at the hardware store, this was 6 of 22 of what would turn out to be a leisurely ride along the bike path. All the coords were super accurate which made for pretty quick finds. I had to look twice to spot this one.

7/7/18. 9:58 AM. Cache #5602.
7th of 13 this morning - Marsden Park.
A nice morning for a bit of walking along Richmond Rd. For the first leg, I parked in the Bunnings carpark, and walked north to pick up the first 6 caches, then turned around and walked back to Bunnings (via Maccas).
I then drove up to the other end, parking at the Elara display village, and walking down almost to where I had previously turned around. In this second leg, I managed to find:
Feel the Power
After Pius Ln
Puma Views
Beginning or End
890770
Secret Squirrel
Elara
Like the first caches, these were also mostly quick finds; I felt lucky to get the last 3 because my iPhone battery was down to its last few percents. TFTC and series.

Thanks for another good find along the road. Getting fit and increasing the tally is the go.
Beautiful day. Out with Little Shoes and Shoes Junior to try and get a bit more of the Richmond Rd trail cleaned up. TFTC
Night caching with AWTYOW, Brizzle 11 and Pitman Clan - lots of laughs and caches along the way! TFTC
I spotted this on arrival. Perhaps previous searchers haven't been as kind to the surroundings as the should. Please take care of the environment and cache surround.TFTC
After finding After South Street I returned to the geomobile and drove here. I'm ashamed, sooo lazy!
I was surprised/shocked as I used to cut cross country and come out onto Richmond Road from Grange Avenue. Where have all the farm houses gone, and the nursery that used to be on this corner??
It is much safer here now but soooo busy!
Anyway I left the geomobile in the country side and walked over to Feel the Power. I could see the cache as I approached, lucky angle I guess!

We found the caches south of IKEA on a previous visit. This time, we brought our bikes with us and headed north and found all of the caches finishing up at Elara. Our 7th cache for the afternoon. TFTC!

Time to venture from the eastern beaches to check out the Richmond Road Cache Path
The last time I drove along Richmond Road it was only a single lane roadway with trees growing beside the road. I was gob smacked by the amount of development going on everywhere and the volume of constant traffic was unbelievable – where are all those trucks coming from or going to?
I started at the Squeaks Bridge cache and finished the day at the Elara cache, only because the traffic heading west was starting to build up. For most of the trail I was able to park in one of the small turnaround spots off Richmond Road and walk to two or three caches at each stop. I had a couple of dnf’s at Thebe and Green Space View 2 and somehow forgot about Green Space View all together. All in all a very enjoyable day out in the sunshine. Thanks for the caches and showing me this new part of the world Deep_99.

A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.
We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.
I honestly can't remember the caches already. Such a blur. Thanks for the cache series all the same. Very enjoyable and great to see such well maintained caches
Did feel the power of the paper bark with CIH, quite a quick find, thanks Deep_99
The last few days can only be call hell at work but it was now time to put that all behind me and get working on my number with less then 25 to get before find 2000 and I plan on that one being at the big event over Easter.
It was not to hot today so I walked the power trial I moved the car 3 or 4 times and just as well because as I was finishing the storm was coming in. I just made it back the to car as it started.
But I found all the caches. All logs were is great condition. Some of the tape is getting old and the magnets are coming loose. But they are all great little find when working on your numbers.
I finished the day with visit to Lindt for little rabbits and then to Ikea to grab some of their paper rules they make great log for bison tubes or bigger, tomorrow I'm off to do cache maintenance. Thanks so much for a great day and I feel a bit more relaxed now.
