OCW aubeasty today to try and bring my yearly numbers back up before the end of the year. COVID, no NSW mega and more work than usual have meant that my numbers haven’t been crash hot. A lovely sunny day made the perfect way to rectify this situation by bike.

A quick find on this style of structure and didn’t have to disturb any spiders.

22-Aug-20
Our first DNF for the day. We looked around at where the GPS suggested we should look, and also looked at a spot that seemed suggested by the name (in case the coordinates were out), but no luck in either place.

To complete the final stage of my Night at the Museum challenge, I needed a few more caches. This series on and around Richmond Road has been on my radar for a long time, so now it is the time to dust off my foldable push bike and get going.

It turned out to be a nice afternoon with many finds and over 15km of bicycle fun,

Decided to go caching this way north today. Did not really check any weather and just left early. As I was already driving for an hour the radio was talking about 40+ temps, what did I get myself into? Still sticked to the plan, did a nice bike ride in sub 30 at that time and a nice breeze. As it really got hot I had shelter in my car and was able to do a lot of driveby's. Thanks for putting out all those caches!

CACHE #96
Found at 11:13hrs, 10 of 12 located today.

This took some time. My GPS bounced like a soccer ball , and it was the most frustrating thing . I paced back and forth ALOT trying to get some traction... nope.

In the end, I read previous comments from 20/05/2018 (thanks Sensible Shoes), and 13/06/2018 (thanks CO Deep_99), and put on some gloves.

I systematically poked both hands in a few places, reaching my fingers as far as they would go. At the third place I heard a tell-tale rattle, and felt the cache move.

What a fun way to spend the last day of the school holidays with the kids. With the pushbikes and a mountain of enthusiasm we parked about half along this mini series before find the ones in a westerly direction first.

Peddling back into the headwind proved difficult but we eventually found all the ones to the east, before feasting on Macca's for lunch. Thanks for a fun series of caches that the Rats and mini rats enjoyed doing together.

12-Oct-18
Came out here with the Rats for a bit of fun on our bikes. While the skies were gloomy and the wind blew hard into our face, it didn't stop us finding this series of caches and earning a stop at Maccas and Starbucks.
Thanks.

09-Sep-18
Today was a beautiful Sunday and we decided to go out West and finish off the Richmond Road Cache Path, which we had commenced upon some months ago. Our method was to park the car in the middle of some caches, then walk first south, then north and then back to the car. We then moved the car and repeated the exercise. After having completed the remaining 11 caches today the step counter in the phone showed a bit more than 8000 steps.

It took a bit of searching in possible locations before we managed to find this one.

I received a reminder that I only had a week left to claim the final souvenir, so I hitched my biked onto the rack and headed out to Richmond Rd.

After parking at the hardware store, this was 7 of 22 of what would turn out to be a leisurely ride along the bike path. All the coords were super accurate which made for pretty quick finds.

From feeling the power I continued on foot along Richmond Road for the rest of my targets today.
The AHMA is certainly a very unobtrusive building and much less imposing than the mosque further down the road. There's a nice little wetland beside this bridge. We haven't had any rain for weeks and water spots must be drying up as there were quite a few water birds wading here.
The cache was a quick find. I like the container!
I'm not sure the hint is very helpful as the container isn't what it says.

We found the caches south of IKEA on a previous visit. This time, we brought our bikes with us and headed north and found all of the caches finishing up at Elara. This one took us a little while to find, but we got there in the end. Our 8th cache for the afternoon. TFTC!

10-Apr-18
Time to venture from the eastern beaches to check out the Richmond Road Cache Path
The last time I drove along Richmond Road it was only a single lane roadway with trees growing beside the road. I was gob smacked by the amount of development going on everywhere and the volume of constant traffic was unbelievable – where are all those trucks coming from or going to?
I started at the Squeaks Bridge cache and finished the day at the Elara cache, only because the traffic heading west was starting to build up. For most of the trail I was able to park in one of the small turnaround spots off Richmond Road and walk to two or three caches at each stop. I had a couple of dnf’s at Thebe and Green Space View 2 and somehow forgot about Green Space View all together. All in all a very enjoyable day out in the sunshine. Thanks for the caches and showing me this new part of the world Deep_99.

A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.

We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.

The last few days can only be call hell at work but it was now time to put that all behind me and get working on my number with less then 25 to get before find 2000 and I plan on that one being at the big event over Easter.
It was not to hot today so I walked the power trial I moved the car 3 or 4 times and just as well because as I was finishing the storm was coming in. I just made it back the to car as it started.
But I found all the caches. All logs were is great condition. Some of the tape is getting old and the magnets are coming loose. But they are all great little find when working on your numbers.
I finished the day with visit to Lindt for little rabbits and then to Ikea to grab some of their paper rules they make great log for bison tubes or bigger, tomorrow I'm off to do cache maintenance. Thanks so much for a great day and I feel a bit more relaxed now.

Out with the gang collecting caches along Windsor and Richmond roads. It was a medium long pedal but a great day. Disappointingly we had to replace a few containers along the way but no biggie either since the effort should breath some life back into the trail. TFTC.

20-Mar-18
Out on a bicycle caching run with geobuddies along both the Richmond and Windsor Rd trails and also grabbing any other caches in-between.
Overall our day was a whooping 10hrs on the bikes and we all enjoyed every pedel of the way.
We found a total of 87 caches today so I apologise for my repeated logs,
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing us with a great day out.

Time for just one more this afternoon. I have to get home and cook dinner!

05-Mar-18
An RFS truck pulled into the Pius lane to reload water or have a sandwich break as I approached GZ. Lights and sirens came on to pull out of Pius lane as I was replacing the cache - a split second thought of 'is that because of me?' but they took off south along Richmond rd without any regard for me, so the cache was re-hidden and I trundled off for lunch. TFTC Deep_99!

I've completed the Richmond power trail today and was able to find all the caches.
