Found it, only opened the cache through sheer luck though! Too much head scratching onsite to figure it out properly. Still claiming the win though
Mr and Mrs Kookacrew like a bit of maths, much better at it when there are dollar signs in the equations though.Made hard work of this one to begin with as we rushed through the description and missed a vital piece of detail. Thanks for another cache tassieexpat found it, signed it, and replaced it safe and sound as found.
Mr Riddell had fun working out the Puzzle and Mrs Mrs Riddell did the find today with Muggle Kate actually finding the cache while we were having a girls weekend.TFTC
We are staying at Jam Jerrup for the weekend for a friend’s 60th birthday party, dressing up in 60’s gear! The party was last night and was lots of fun! We checked out of the holiday accommodation this morning and headed back towards Corinella, stopping for a few caches on the way. This was our focus cache for the morning. GMelb had had a bit of a look at it on Friday night but didn’t manage to solve it then. After the party last night he had another look and had the lightbulb moment!! Cache was found and accessed after a little hunt.

what a great cache!! had us stumped for a very long while but the relief of solving it made it worth it. we all let out a collective 'YAYYY' when it opened. TFTC , a favourite from us
Along with the finger series My other main Geocache mission today was this geocache as yesterday my year 12 students sat their exam and now we’re done woo hoo absolutely fantastic cache love everything about it.
Thank you so much for the cache tassieexpat. Highlight of my day
Came back and found it quickly today! Love the premise for this cache, so favourite point from us. Beautiful spot too
Have been sent a msg re trees down around us. Won't get out to check until the other side of Christmas.
#6 for today.
A most beautiful day to tackle this line of caches, on what has to be one of the best kept secret coastlines in Victoria. It was amazingly calm, scenic and the sunset by the end of the day was just magic. Glad we stuck around for as long as we could today.
Gave this to the lads to solve. And as expected, much thinking was thunked. Meanwhile, mum and dad had already solved, signed and replaced the cache.
Thanks for bringing us out here tassieexpat

Very very cool container top,
In the area for a caching event and to catch up with my geo buddy Rebel Acts.
Perfect weather on the 1st day of 2021, really enjoyed this series and the walk along a very picturesque pathway. Some logs signed om due to the log size.

On way to Event, Quickly stopped and Found your cache tassieexpat, thank you so much for placing it.
This one had been in the solve pile for some time but was disabled on My last visit, today I was out with Omegaman1971 doing a few cache before the event, I really like this type of device.
Thanks tassieexpat for the cache.
Thanks tassieexpat for the cache.
Broken mechanism is in the post after the package did a tour of France lol! Hopefully up and running soon.
What a great theme here and a very nice series of caches in a hidden gem of a walking path. We rode our bikes around here and were surprised at how busy it was.
Thanks for the fun here today tassieexpat.
I was happy to cross this one off the list.

I had previously solved this puzzle so the coordinates where in my saved list. I say I solved it, but I was able to find part out. I then gave it to my Year 12 son who, at the time, was a 12 Maths expert, studying 2 advanced maths courses, and completed 1 in Year 11.
After my FTF attempt was aborted because it got found while I was on route, I found myself in this area with a spare 2 hours. I hadn't downloaded or planned anything, but I remembered I had a few caches along here unfound.
Interesting old sign seen while walking nearby, a sign that being in the middle of thick trees, I don't think is very accurate any more.
Thanks for the cache Tassie Expat

We enjoyed the walk along the track, a tad windy, enjoyed the views and the variety of hides and to a place we have not visited before..
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks tassieexpat for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Suscoe found this cache today.
Log signed and all well.
Thanks to tassieexpat for this hide.
The day was getting warmer and we decided to do just one more cache before heading home.

Well either my maths are no good or the device isn't working. Hopefully it was just me, but I have no way of checking.
Found by Mary and David at 13:40. It has been more than 50 years since David solved such maths problems routinely as part of his studies. A lot of mental cobwebs have gathered since then. Happily it all became clear again as we read through the notes. The container was easy enough to find. First one of these we have come across in the wild. Our thanks to tassieexpat.
We remember when it used to be called Applied Maths. And where x is the number of steps you take to geocache and t is the time you take to locate cache, we knew that to optimise the search we had to find x in terms of t. Lucky for us we were always told to read all the exam questions before attempting the calculations. Lock button is very tight. TFTC tassieexpat.

Too be fair the puzzle was solved by the maths and physics person in the family and I just tagged along to the coordinates. Really nicely done.

Neither of us felt dragged along today as we came to collect our Specialist Maths prize.
Thanks to 'tassieexpat' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

17-01-2019 - 11.42am -- Find No. 1008 - 6th find for of 7 for the day for me - with dgfb33 (2 of 5) & Geogran1937 (3 of 6).
The day was cooler so we decided to heat towards Corinella to caches that were power-chair compatible for dgfb33.
We had managed to get back together to find some caches none of us had found. We had split up again at this point with one sitting on an available seat & the other powering to the other without realising this one was available. After a few moments I got my bearings & the finding device did it's job. I had the needed item in hand just as the others returned to the appointed place & we were all able to sign the log.
Good co-ords (or similar bad co-ords) at each cache made finding easy & we only saw a couple of bike passing muggles while we were walking so had no worries about giving the game/hides away.
Cache was found, signed & returned as found. Thanks for the cache
Sorry for the late log.

Oh, boy have these logs been on the back burner……… with the combination of a long hiatus and my phone with all my saved cache data of the ones I had yet to log being supposedly lost. With my eng/comp sci friend who managed to mess around with the phone and recover the data….. hooray time to celebrate. So that's why these logs are so late…. either thanks for the cache and the adventure….. and sorry for the generic log.
Todays adventure I tagged along with leafotwind, ahomburg and Sedgewickdave on an attack on the bass coast for interesting caches for all the little statistic guff that we all chase. Anyways thanks for the cache and the adventure

Today I was to head out for a day caching with SedgwickDave, buhfuhguh and leafotwind. Dave picked me up first and we headed for the home of BFG with a meeting time of 10am. Weather was looking promising, so it was going to be a great day.
Another nice quick one on a tour of the area. Luckily we had some smart people in the car.
Many thanks to tassieexpat for the cache. TNLN.

I'm currently on a mini-streak within my larger streak of 100 puzzles on 100 consecutive days. I'm not sure which day this is, somewhere in the 20s though and I had prepared a backup puzzle in case Wonthaggi and surrounds yielded nothing of use in this regard.
I was quite happy (upon discussing this with the group) to have solved it immediately. We picked it up on the way out from the point.

I let Rod work out the maths part of the puzzle.
We stopped by on our way home from Bass.
A very nice camo job.
With a few muggles around n0w0rries brought the cache over to the car and we worked out a way to access the log.
Thanks for an interesting geocache tassieexpat.

Maths was my favourite subject in high school.
Some of the things learned during that time were most helpful here today.
Dodging muggles as we found the cache and then worked out how to sign the log.

Hahaha! Nearly got me on this one. It's been a long time since I had to do differential equations, but a quick google refreshed my fading skills - I also remembered some of the instructions that were drummed into us kids when we were doing exams. Came in very useful indeed
Thanks tassieexpat

#199. Had fun yesterday trying to relearn calculus. This has inspired me to continue the relearning. TFTC. I learnt mathematics up to third year university, and alas now much of it has gone from the brain. Took a diversion on the way home from San Remo for this one.

We did the series some time ago and left this one so I could work out the answers. I gave it to a Specialist Maths teacher and he tried, but came back with the answer of I can't see how this will help. I had another go at it and then my head was clear. Got it. Today we were heading back from San Remo and had a go.
I have not seen anything like this container and lock system before.
Everything worked.
A fav point to be added because you fooled me for a while .

Last for the day and what a great cache this one is.
On the first read, my thoughts were VCE maths is wayyy above my head!!
So what to do other than send the questions off to a teacher, a pharmacist, a manager and a student whom had not so long ago completed their VCE.
A day or two of waiting and finally the pharmacist won thru!
Many thanx to George for providing the numbers, which when entered and silver button depressed, the log fell into my hands
Elation all round. Love a good mystery cache. Fav point added. Many thanx to tassieexpat
With 5 caches found, geopup had had enough for the day. Remainder of the series to be sought out tomorrow

Wow, it may be about 45 years since I did HSC maths, but I was still able to solve it! It did stretch the ‘little grey cells ‘ though. Lovely spot with a good carpark close by so didn’t have to walk far today with my crook hip and knee. A favour point awarded. TFTC
Some things don't change.
Maths is one of them.
This one looked interesting with talk about both projectiles and bananas involved.
A young banana just completed Specialist Maths. One of his pet subjects on the way to an Atar score so high he qualified for both Law and Medicine at Melbourne University. I suspect it would require his brains to resolve this challenging puzzle.
But this banana could also understand the jargon, once projectiles were involved from Engineering studies all those years ago.
Others might struggle here by the maths involved but after a week of unloved, a southery trip lured us here.
Maths is such a wonderful subject, ignored by so many.
Don't know why.
But this nice little treasure might just inspire a few more to find the joy of Maths.
Just like the bananas did today.
Thank you for the refresher course on passing an exam.
