I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Have been back twice now for a good look and although the hint made cents I found nothing.
saw all the cars around here and thought it might hard to get to, nope, parked right next to it and was out of there real quick, tftc
# 1265 Had another search for this one today in the blistering wind. Searched all the same places as last time but this time something caught my eye as being out of place as it was slightly skewed. Aha. It's one of those. I know exactly why I missed it last time because I thought it was a handle. Doh. My biases playing up again but it shows why things are seen and not seen. Signed log while 'chatting' on the phone as it is quite exposed here. Trancer96 was the last signature on the log sheet so the previous two finders did not sign. Glad to have found this one and number 1 for this series! Thanks GLAD-NZ all good inside here.
Had a real good look for this one in the rain, nothing jumped out at me. Perhaps its there, perhaps its not?
My main reason for coming to this area didn't pan out so to make it not feel like a total waste of time I figured I could find a cache. This was only a short diversion and found quickly. TFTC.
(# 4770). Decided to grab a few caches up the valley. This day is conducive to caching as it is a lovely day after yesterdays dreadful weather. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Finished up at the Fig tree cafe and thought I would do a few caches on the way home. TFTC
Down for the Wellington Mega with KirsTim & yorkshirekiwi83 and vistra for the weekend, picking up caches in the area along the way. Lots of fun had and some cool sights to see. Many thanks to all the cache owners for the great maintenance and their caches!
Our journey south to the Mega in Wellington, a great day for travel caching.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches

It's the last day in the area, day 4 and catch a ferry back to the Mainland. We've had a good visit and rounded out that visit with another 20-plus haul for the day, in fact it was all done by 1130am and a ferry check-in of 1230. Started off by picking off some low-hanging p n g caches, then ended off with a trip up Kinglsey Loop track and a nice walk that was too. All good and over 100 for the weekend.
The big day(s) has/have arrived. It's MEGA weekend in Wellington region and the culmination of lots of hard work by the organising committee. Also, not to be forgotten, are the caches of the local, and not so local COs, which help the game to continue and enable the enjoyment of others.
The trip has been planned for a while now and the Blenheim contingent of Ricardinho.nz and myself are coming over early on Friday morning on the Bluebridge ferry (after an early morning (non-) 'event') before returning on same mode of transport on Monday lunchtime.
We didn't manage much caching on the Friday but made up for that with 3 good days after and over 100 finds for the weekend to boost my Wellington region finds past my Nelson region ones and even giving my previously prolific Auckland numbers a 'nudge'.
Over the weekend there was plenty of socialising, sharing of ideas, opinions and interesting conversations and a podium spot for the Geosaders quiz team. Allied up with some new caching friends and remet several other rarely seen friends from other areas of the country. A good weekend all around and even the weather played nicely with a sunny outlook each of the days, without it being too warm and uncomfortable. Plenty of events attended, pleasant walks experienced, a couple of bike rides along the Hutt River as well as a smattering of GROET caches for which we were GLAD.
Thanks to all of the cache owners for their hides and listings and looking forward to the next time I visit the area to continue the enjoyment.

After the Mega and time to grab a few caches before leaving town. Thank you for the placement.
Our last day in Wellington, we were here for the Wellington Mega Event. We have had a fantastic weekend, we have attended a heap of events, found a heap of caches and met some great like minded people.
We did not really have a plan for today other than to get one challenge cache in town and to be at the airport this evening.
So we thought we would just pick up a few traditionals as we made our way towards the airport.
Not many people out and about this early on a public holiday, so no worries with muggles.
Thank you GLAD-NZ for placing this cache and thank you for the smilie

I thought when I got here that I would be able to access the site that was with us around with high viz. shirts and notices and Conan’s and stuff and machinery going back to him that we just working on the Monday on the actual cracks work while there’s no trains. Vacation is easy to find and that’s all good here and thank you for that
Pulled up too find a Fulton Hogan ute sitting right next to the cache and a big guy in the cab watching me watching him.
OK, decided this is likely to be a walk-up, bend-down, grab and walk off cache. Fortunately by the time I had found my pen and put on my business face, their ciggie break was over and they were back too work on the line.
Yes this was a quick find and swipe and I was soon out of there. TFTC my friend, cheers

Some workers at GZ but Capperz made light work of this. TFTC.
Last day of the multi weekend. Picked up Capperz in Trentham for some park and grabs around Upper Hutt, followed by a nice walking trail. Made the ferry rendezvous with half an hour to spare. Thanks to all COs, especially those who have maintained their caches in time for the Mega event. It’s been a good weekend.

I flew down to Wellington just for the day today to attend the WENZ Mega Event and I joined up with Yorkshirekiwi83, Vamber and KirsTim for a day's caching, which was focussed primarily on caches in the Hutt Valley area - signing all logs as KKKTTS. this was found while driving around the area. TFTC!
Out and about with Vamber, yorkshirekiwi83 & vistra gathering caches in Upper Hutt whilst in town for the Mega. Signed the log as KKKTST. Quick find, sign and onto the next one
Spent the long weekend down in Wellington and the surrounding region with Vamber, KirsTim and vistra, we were there for the Mega event and we picked up some caches along the way. Apologies for the generic log, but a big thanks to the cache owners for their caches. TFTC
WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... After experiencing broken sleep at our accommodation, it was time to pull it together and get out there... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy...
Saturday: Our little excursion into Wellington City put us slightly behind schedule for the next event. We still had time on our side, but the next few finds needed to be quick ones... TFTC.

Day 1 of Wellington Mega
Today's mission was to register, collect lab caches, other events and hopefully 11 different cache types in 1 day.
Tall order but we made it with a few minutes to spare.
We also collected other caches that we had solved prior to coming.
Turned into a bit of a day so sorry for the copy and paste of logs.
Thanks to the cache owners for the placement of these caches.
Looking at the greater picture of the Wellington area we have only scratched the surface so will be back at some stage. SLTFTC

What an elongated weekend with firstly an over night at waikanae and gatherin g in a few caches around there, and then onto the Hutt valley, travelling through to the Wellington Airport to pick up geo son and head to Karori where we stayed for the weekend and I stayed on for a further day or two before heading back up north again. At least the SH 1 was open going home and I I didn’t have to travel over Paekakariki hill which I did on Friday.
I managed several caches around Hayward/ manor park area, Avalon, Lower hutt and then around the coast to Breakers bay etc etc before going to rongotai and then south to Moa point etc. before heading to the Airport.
Saturday we picked up a couple of challenge caches and others on the way up to the Event, getting there in time to register and head to the CITO event. Then a few more challenge caches and trads before heading to the Flash mob. Back to the venue where we had tea and got ready for the quiz night. Which unfortunately went on a little long.
Sun day saw us pick up a long over due mystery cache on tinakori road before heading to Petone and then up to Upper Hutt where we completed the Lab caches some puzzle caches and thee wherigo before heading back yo Karori to have tea with grand chn and family etc.
Monday we went to Zealandia where we completed two more caches before taking geo son back to the airport. I then drove home the next day after the bulk of the traffic had gone.
It was a great weekend and a great Mega event . thanks to the organisers and ALSO thanks to the REVIEWER who alerted CO about the status of the their caches etc so most caches were actually there and not missing. This was a truly amazing effort on the REVIEWERs part. Thank you.

After arriving in Wellington for the MEGA event over the labour weekend we took the long way from the airport around the bays and into the city via a few caches. WE joined the motorway carpark after truck accidents closed 2 of the main roads out of Wellington on the Friday before the long weekend, groan! Had a great time at the MEGA where the weather was great, the company was a hoot and the caches well maintained and lots of fun!
Met a Lady with young dog walking near GZ, so had a chat and waited for her to pass before making a quick find. TFTC!

Down in the Capital for an extra long weekend before exams start, with Jag50, Merlot58 & Bertie Blowfish. We had just ordered our fish and chips, so while we waited we headed to find this cache. A quick find here.
With a group of fellow west Aucklanders Merlot58, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish To attend the MEGA and for a fun long Labour weekend’s caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for setting up and maintaining the caches. Sorry for cut and paste logs. Quick find while waiting for our fish and chips
I’m in the Windy City to attend the Wellington Mega with a few fellow Westies from Auckland. We’re having a great time as we explore the area collecting smileys as we go. Thanks for bringing us here, sorry for the copy and paste logs but am using a Cachly template to log as I go.quick easy find
Very glad about this park and grab. I recall a great aunt used to live around the corner decades ago. TFTC
There is evidence of construction in the local area but access to the cache is available so now enabled with a replacement, take care.
Enjoy
Enjoy
Construction on the nearby train tracks has the workers set up camp right around the cache gz means it can’t/shouldn’t be attempted so disabling for now. Will bring back when safe to do so.
A quick find after the WENZ Maintenance Event. There was evidence of muggle activity going on in the street, but luckily I had parked my car right in the way to hide my activities. TFTC
Was probably the fastest find of the day for either UlmusLynx or I. Quite a treat to have such a straightforward one. TFTC.
Awesome hint, very helpful. Awesome cache to find with the BF who is newer at this
A nice quick find. Saw the obvious place upon approach. Cache in good condition, log nice and dry. Signed as BC&TS. #1087 , TFTC.
We left home with a goal it was to get 46 caches so we could log Skindo 250 caches for February and 46 is what we needed. Went as far as Paraparaumu Friday night got 3 traditionsls and 1 wherigo so that was a good start so today we needed 42. This is the first puzzle the road trip so far. Its a lovely area to have caches but not easy to get witb all tbe traffic and parking wise. But today was our lucky day it just took a few minutes to locate then signed the log and placed it back exactly where i found it. Thank you for placing caches around tbe area. Its always lovely driving through here. Cache was all good here today TFTC now onto the next cache still got 19 caches to get.
This cache had been identified as one I could walk to from work during a lunch break to help fill in my found date grid. Today was one such day that needed a boost although I needed to carry out an errand so I did actually drive closer to the cache site; but I did leave a bit of a stroll. It was all quiet and I was easily able to find the cache and complete my mission.
Cache # 4,159 - Came by here before work today, and managed a break in the rain. Quick find here, which was good, as rest of day slammed hard! TNLNSL. TFTC! And very happy to see a new CO putting out caches - much appreciated!

A quick find on a lovely sunny Waitangi Day. Thanks for placing a cache here - patience was required due to a muggle wandering by but retrieved/signed/returned without arousing suspicion. Thanks for another smiley.
I came up here for a short drive after work. My main mission was to have a look for this cache. It was easy to find and I was on my way quite quickly.
After all the lovely weather we've had lately it was a bit miserable today. The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

A quick search and find while walking past at 10.00 am all in order replaced as found . T.F.T.C
I'd dropped senior geoteen off at the racecourse so I took the opportunity for a quick find. All good.
TFTC
A quick cache for a rainy day though in the end I went on to another cache where I got saturated! (this one was a train ride, short walk and grab rather than a park and grab for me.)
I wonder whether this cache will survive here, a bit vulnerable.

I was in the Upper Valley area this afternoon so stopped here while passing. An instant find in an obvious place with good accurate coordinates. Signed log, TFTC
Great to see another local cacher has now placed their first cache and joined the ranks of CO! Congrats GLAD-NZ on your first placement. I fear you will need to regularly visit it if everybody uses the amount of real estate on the logsheet that some previous founders have used - crazy to see I am only the 5th finder and the first logsheet is 2/3 full already..... photo attached
A very quick find at GZ with fantastic coords. Everything nice and dry.
I had planned to head up a hill tonight after work and had boots, shorts and top in car prepositioned further down the valley. However my knee decided today was the day to niggle again so I needed a park and grab - recently there have been some placements which I have left for such an occasion. Thanks for placement enabling an easy to reach cache of the day.
Favourite Point awarded for this cache to welcome a new CO on board.

I have been in Wellington city since about 12pm this afternoon searching for multi caches and also had dinner in town.
Just as I was heading home towards Upper Hutt on the train this evening I got an email alert stating that there was a new cache published near my home location. That was good enough for me to ditch the train early at Heretaunga Station and walk the 175M ish to the cache to claim the FTF.
The cache itself is a easy park and grab as advertised. Thanks for the cache this evening GLAD-NZ

I was on that train as far as Waterloo! Unfortunately my phone battery was flat so I didn't see the notification till later, otherwise I would have extended my journey and it would have been an interesting race for FTF
