Nice break from work, kayaked across from the other side of the river to get this one. TFTC
I was in this general sort of area today for an appointment this morning. That done I decided to detour over to this ground zero and have a look for this hide. I parked up in the car park and made the walk across the grass, in the hot sun, to access this ground zero. My phone GPSr had me right down at the water's edge. I checked a couple of spots then decided to take a log at the found logs. That helped a lot and I made the short climb up to the actual ground zero and made a quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
Super easy find. Log book signed. Careful as there is a bees nest quite close to GZ.
Great fun finding this one . Took a photo as didn't playing a pen . Was out for a walk working on mental health . Love geo for this and thankyou to someone special in my life for guiding me this way to help heal .
Made a few mistakes like misreading the hint and going out into the water but eventually found it and didn't even realize it was the cache! Eventually figured it out. Creative lil cache!
It was probably my first visit here on quiet Sunday morning Queen's Birthday long weekend.
Did not take too long to locate.

Over this wat today after an early drop off for the teen, to college, for Band rehearsal...... scouted the area for a couple of dog friendly caches to collect and this area was selected.....
Parked nearby and was greeted by a lady doing what looked like yoga in the carpark...random..... hitched up the dog and off we walked.... dog didn't like the frozen patches of grass on her belly too much, then the water started getting through my shoes, so I could relate also.....
After locating the other cache in the area, headed over to this one......located quickly , then the fun began as the log was jammed in the cache container....after a half hour I had managed to gently extract the log and sign in..... replaced log in a way so it is much easier extract for future finders without damaging the log....

Definitely a place that needed a cache.
Cool hide, cute container. Nice location and scenery. That's exactly one of the caches I like best and the reason why I love geocaching.

Was invited for a picnic birthday lunch with some work friends and B4Dawn threw in the option of a site with a cache too….well what could be better!!
Grabbed the food and headed to this reserve only to find we were not given any cutlery…oops…well caching first then.
Water was out so we went all the way down until we realized the den was slightly higher up the bank. Found the dragon but unfortunately it’s in need of a bit of TLC…it’s head is off and the log container is rusted shut. Have photo evidence for CO.
Put back in it’s hidey hole and went to work out how we were going to eat.
Thanks for the fun and adding to a memorable birthday experience.

Nothing like caching to lure a very special friend away from work for her special day!
Approached the site and Keylev was already hot on the trail! In no time she found the little lizard! Unfortunately the container was fused tight so we couldn't sign. Was a great excuse to get out of the office! Thanks for the cache!

A few hours spare this morning so decided to grab some more caches. Visited this nice little reserve in Pakuranga. Would never of known about it if it wasnt for caching. No Dragon boats unfortunately today but there was some other water activities going on. Took us a while to find the dragons den was focusing in slightly the wrong place to begin. Once the den was located we spotted this unusual cache container but were unable to sign as we couldnt manage to open it.
It was a dot day for me so I've been leaving a few caches around my area for such an occasion. The area was nice and quiet when I arrived and after checking the hint and soon found the Dragon in it's den TFTC!
There was a muggle in the park near the other cache in this area, so we headed to this one first. The cute cache container was located in the first place Merlot looked.
In Auckland for a two day conference and staying at the Waipuna in Panmure. Had to get out for a walk and this path was ideal. Loved the dragons den and the dragon. A favourite from us. TFTC
Found 12.30pm
Arrangement made to travel to Auckland again. So by the time we all met up and vehicle loaded with cachers from Huntly, Rotorua and me from Papamoa plus 2 bikes we headed north. First back to Highbrook to collect balance of caches that we had missed previously. Once this was done we widened search patterns including new caches at Panmure Basin. Weather today not the best so we cut the day short and headed for home. Caches signed as Team HRP.
Thanks to all cache owners for placements. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... It’s been a few months since we all ventured out together. We enjoyed catching up, swapping stories, and the usual banter. Time seemed to pass quickly, as it does when you have good company...
Since the weather wasn’t looking too hot, we decided we needed to stay close enough to our vehicle. When our caching options were tabled, beginning in Highbrook seemed to be a preferred starting point...
Tiraumea Reserve proved to be a popular venue, judging by the number of people here today. Fortunately, this hide was sufficiently away from the general public, and a reasonably quick find followed. TFTC.

Came past here after work and thought I should take a small detour to collect this cache. Nice hint, and second place I checked, TFTC
Last cache for the day. Took me a few minutes to find this one.
Awesome park and most likely never used.

I tried to get here over winter, but the ground was so soggy I gave up. No problems today and the cache was in the first spot I looked.

Lunch time outing to grab our daily cache. Visited here yesterday but was thwarted by a young couple relaxing in the sun at gz. Today the weather was not as bright so suspected the coast would be clear. Surprised to spy another couple although older lurking in some nearby bushes. They were almost invisible, dressed head to toe in dark gear, wearing beenies looking across the water through binoculars. On the far shore were some earth movers digging along the waters edge. Not sure if the couple were partaking in some industrial espionage or twitchers watching the local bird life. Anyway they appeared to be completely focused on what they were doing so I was able to go about the business of locating the cache. Had a little chuckle when I got my hands on the hide. All good. I had to attend some staff training in Botany this morning, so afterwards took advantage of being over here to do a spot of caching.
Having found the other cache in this part of my childhood I had to come along for this one as well. Carefully negotiated the last couple of metres and made the find. Thanks.

Took a while searching around until I realised it must be a bit bigger. Changed search area and geowife soon had the cache in hand.
After a DNF in April it was nice to come back and make the find with Ryan. GPS was about 6m away for us and with so many possibilities it was nice to have an extra pair of eyes. TFTC
After a quick work job this morning stopped by to attempt the couple of caches in this reserve. Not successful at the first cache but made up for it with this one.
Found the hidden cave and the Dragon Guardian within. Quietly and gently removed the guardian so as not to wake him and signed the log and replaced him in his slumber. Made my way to car and half way bag heard a very large roar from GZ. Not wanting to know if the guardian had woken I didn't look back and scurried to the car. The next cacher has been warned!!!!

I'm currently up in Auckland for the Queens Birthday long weekend, and have been meaning to get around to doing a few of the more local caches in my area that I either haven't tried before, or have DNF's against.
This was one of the former variety, which I have been saving for one of those days when you have a lot on and just need to go and grab a cache to fill a dot day.
I had just recorded yet another DNF for the other new one in the vicinity, and was really hoping I would find this one. The GPS co-ordinates took me right to the water's edge. The tide was out so I jumped down and checked around some promising looking spots there. But then I widened my search just a little and came face to face with the guardian!
All is good with both the cache and the logsheet, so it was a quick sign and then everything was replaced exactly as found.
Thanks for the placement, and the container which definitely put a smile on my face

Found the unsubmitted cache first...looks like it was going to be Mamolosk Tiraumea Drive Reserve 2.
So, as it had no " Dragon ",
I searched further caves.
Then I found it !
Cute "camo ".
So great to see this big reserve I had never been to before !
Thank you Coblets.

Took this route on my way to work this morning for a pleasant walk at dawn in this reserve I have never been to before. GPS took me round in circles for a wee while but extended the search from a different angle and something caught my eye. Nicely hidden. TFTC
I was away in Wellington when I saw the notification for this cache come through. And so it went on my to do list for when I got back to Auckland. As I am currently on annual leave, and as I was in the area this morning I decided to come and see if I could find it. So after a nice walk through the wet grass I got to GZ... maybe jandals aren't the best caching footwear after all... once here I made an initial quick find that didn't seem to align with the description of the cache page. As this seemed a bit too good to be true I sat down and read back through the logs and my suspicion was correct... a red herring! So I continued my search and soon came up with the goods. So log book signed and cache nicely back in its hiding place all ready for the next finder. So thank you once again TheCoblets for taking the time to set up not just this cache but all of your caches.
Out for an early walk with the intention of grabbing this cache. Checked a few spots before checking the right spot. Well hidden & glad to take that extra look. Nice camo. TFTC
Saw this come out last night. Only a DNF last night so up early this morning for a FTF challenge. After a bit of searching, found the nice dragon and signed the nearly blank log. A STF it is then. TFTC.
Managed to find you before midnight after walking away to the car and turning around to try again. Tftgc
Had planned a 24k run in Pakuranga this morning early. Saw this one come out last night, and being my favourite CO I had to have a go. Here just after 4:30am (it helped doing another nearby cache recently, to know the area), first found the 'other cache' mentioned. Not fitting the theme, kept looking, all the while being a bit wary of being here alone in the dark. Found after about 15 minutes, so alike to the COs other great offerings. Slippery slide comes to mind, how else to hide a nano! Had to smile when found, such a great job. Big Hobbit fan, love dragons, not quite what I was expecting but friendly, at least. First to put pen to paper, so will claim the FTF. Cool idea, awesome theme, gets my instant FP. So much appreciated. TFTC
When we hid this we noticed there was another container hidden nearby we assume is from another hider who was thinking of using this spot as well.
Please make sure you sign the correct log. You will know you have the correct cache if you find a Dragon looking after a nano.
