Thank you for bringing us to Coolemon Ridge Nature Park - we enjoyed the walk and views. TFTF
#3597 On the CCT trail we headed over for a nice quick find here. All in good condition. Logged and on our way. TFTC.
Wow, what a great spot! A amazing view here across the backside of Canberra! Stopped here once before but I believe that ended up with a DNF. This time the cache was quickly found in a sneaky spot. The log is all dry luckily (a rarity with these containers) and a quick rest on the nearby seat before heading back on the trail! TFTC charlottleclerc!

The date is February 25th, the time a little pass 9, and I head off to another geocaching adventure! (well not before various problems leading up to it, but I got there eventually).
My goal is to find the remaining Canberra Centenary Trail caches, that goal however, managed to spectacularly flop on it's face due to me A) me miscalculating distance + elevation and B) me being weak and not being able to ride up a hill properly.
The end result was me calculating the GZ of all of them but only being able to find one because I wasn't able to return to that track without dying. That's pretty annoying, but it will give me a excuse to go back to the bushland so I guess that's fine.
A lovely ride today, starting in Dickson, to Coombs, to Kambah Pool (following CCT), to Tuggeranong, to Macarthur, back to Tuggeranong then returning to Lyneham. Only problems were that the heat is HORRIBLE.
Like I might as well have jumped in the Murrimbidgee river, as then I would have been cooled down!
A surprising lack of grass seeds in my socks by the end, despite the long grass. The only animals sighted was many kangaroos, a few lizards and a single shingleback just lying on the fire trail waiting to be run over.
36 (i think) caches found today, covering 93km and 879m of elevation gain, I am now tired.
Overall, great day and thanks to all the cache owners for contributing to this massive gameboard of ours. TFTC!

Found on a big day walking Cooleman Ridge. After the slog up the hill I was rewarded with a fantastic viewing area. Except......there was fog everywhere, I couldn't see any of the hills IRL that were photographed on the sign. I might attach a photo later, it was quite funny! Quick find at GZ, however the lid has now detached from the hinge of the container and there's ants inside. Nonetheless, great location. TFTC charlotteleclerc!
Grabbing some caches on this nice early morning with Wilbert67.

A beautiful morning walk up down and around the mountain with J+J.AU that turned into a couple of hrs. Weather started out great for the day and turned pretty warm later on. All caches found fairly easy.

Another Sunday had come around, so our small group formed up for another visit to Coolamon Ridge. We hit twelve caches today that I had not done before whilst walking too far and up and down too many slopes. There are some great views from some of the places along here, and the newish lookout was a favorite spot for the day.
Thanks for the cache charlotteleclerc

Quick find and then enjoyed the views.
Tackling Cooleman Ridge today with a group. Lovely day so far but rain expected later.
Unless otherwise stated all was good with cache.

Having just found a cache "down there" it was time to go back "Up there". I am glad today is not as hot as yesterday as our merry band of friends traipse up and down the hills. Great views from up here and the log now carries our names. TFTC charlotteleclerc
Our walk for today - the middle of Cooleman Ridge - is nearly over and this is the second last cache we planned for today.
The view have been spectacular the whole day. We count ourselves lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Thanks for the hide and the walk around the area charlotteleclerc....

Found with Just_Jess! Clever hiding spot and what a view! Even saw some snow on the ranges. TFTC
We beelined for this one from the palindromes. Enjoyed spotting all the mountains we've climbed. It's such a gorgeous skyline. Tftc
A long weekend and georges Canberra winter weather, while there was lots of work/school/house work we just had to plan a hike this weekend and zeroed on on Cooleman ridge as the prefect spot.
Lots of new caches since our last visit and as allways great views to the hills and mountains from there. Wilma loves it. I was happy with all the finds and Dino was happily in tow. Hoppy for that matter couldn't imagine a better afternoon spend. (Poor Pebbles had to stay home, too sikc to hike)
Cache wise we cleaned out the northern half of the reserve, no DNFs 12 quick finds finds and a wonderful hike. We will be back for the southern half.
Quick find, nice views, all in good order.
Thank you charlotteleclerc for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Far out, such a short walk for such a beautiful view. Yet another spot I'll return to on crap mental days.

Exploring some more of Cooleman Ridge today. The views either side are fantastic
Decided to try for a long caching hike today, so headed out with a bag full of swag, two cans of Diet Coke, and 700ml of water. We hadn't expected it to be so hot (the forecast got it wrong - surprise!) so had to ration the drinks. 4.5 hours after we set out, we arrived back at the car, hot, tired and covered in grass seeds (for the most part, the grass was taller than Saf!), but glad to have added so many smilies to our list. We left either Ooshies, safety whistles, or Simpsons Lego minifigs in each one that could fit swag.
This one was a nice quick find. Love the camo! TFTC.

22,249. Found during a lovely afternoon meander around Cooleman Ridge with minniek.
We enjoyed our walk around here last Monday so decided to come back to knock off another section along Cooleman Ridge. Parked at a now familiar gate and headed off up then down the tracks to this. Once again I'm so glad I've got my Gaitors as the grass is head high. What a great location this one is - we enjoyed checking out all the mountains as per the photo. Quick find of the cache. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then continued along the track back down to the car. Loop Complete !
Thanks charlotteleclerc !!

Cache 6499 on 22 Sep 2020.
After a session at the gym this morning and a very early morning FTF, I decided more exercise was in order and targeted the last unfound caches I know of on Cooleman Ridge. Found seven caches all up in the space of an hour, with over 3kms of walking on a gorgeous spring morning, then back home by 11am for a hearty breakfast!
Second cache of this walk and more great views out towards the west and north. While I am happy to have cleaned out the Ridge for now, I won’t be sad if more caches are placed here so I can come back!
Thanks charlotteleclerc for the cache and the fun!

No views today. Just fog. But very pleasant weather for walking. Thanks for the cache.
Love the description of the trig stations.

Found the container, plastic bag and pencil sharpener but no log. Searched around for a bit to see if it had blown anywhere but no luck so inserted a slip of paper carried for just such an emergency! Certainly lovely views from here, thanks for the cache.
Out for a walk to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery.
Not my day for this one.
A good days caching!

I have been kind of putting off Cooleman Ridge for a long time as the geofamily occasionally ask me for a nice nearby caching walk....but then they see the hills and balk at the idea.... so, as of this morning there are 16 hides up their waiting for me.
There clearly a few more coming.... 3 or 4, but never mind, they will keep for the next 6-12 months....maybe I will save them for a family walk.
Today I was out with Aquilus1 again, on a beautiful day. A little windy perhaps but it was just so nice out there.

These views were stunning, and I was super impressed of the camo on the container

Another day progressing my tour of the Centenary Trail. This one was a short detour and whilst I used a TOTT to reveal the cache, it was a quick find. Great views that prompted me to stop nearby for sneaky sunset beers! TFTC
This morning I thought I'd explore the northern part of Cooleman Ridge. It got a bit blustery at times, but luckily the rain held off. A great morning picking up more caches. TFTC clc.
Big Thank You to StrangeTrousers for convincing me to espcape the house for some midweek fun caching. Have missed time out exploring and with the views out today it is understandable who. Stunning place to visit. Took along my walking poles for the hills but hardly needed them due to some clever work from my geobuddy with planning the route. It was the perfect day not to cold, the sun was out and caches found.

#6067 11th for today
Perfect mid-week caching weather today so I dragged CBRChic out of hibernation and headed down to Cooleman Ridge. I never get tired of the views over the back towards the Brindabellas from here. I used to live down this way. I've cached here a few times over the years but now there is a bunch of new caches to make a new trip well worth while. We managed to minimise the amount of climbing with a carefully chosen route and no misses today.
Thanks charlotteleclerc

One of the best vistas on offer from any chache location in the ACT. A unique, clever hide which demanded a second look. As Bernie Cinders used to say: “Get down low and go go go”.
**This Cache:**
Once again we climbed straight up the edge of the hill to access this cache, not from the suburb side and not even following any path! I don't think we approached from a very common route!
The cache itself was a quick find one I made it, puffing to the top.
Thanks

**Today:**
It had been over a week since I last went out to hike in a quiet location and get out of the work / home routine so decided it was time for another isolation exercise afternoon
Myself and DSD chose Cooleman Ridge today, as I had many unfound caches up there! In fact it was probably my largest cluster of unfound caches in Canberra!
It was a good afternoon, only saw a couple of other people out and about from distances but we had the place mainly to ourselves to search for each cache unhindered! We ended up with 14 total finds and no DNF's which was an awesome effort!
Thanks to all the CO's

In these uncertain times it's still legal to exercise, and fortunately geocaching is one of those pastimes that you can still enjoy without being scrutinized. The views from this cache are stunning, Tftc.
Out with Tankengine for a bit of exercise and cache maintenance.
It was a nice walk around to this one and I really liked the effort of this one too. It could have been very disappointing, but I was surprised. Nice spot and I like the veiws. Tftc charlotteleclerc!!!

My muggle friend found the cache—I think we’ve recruited a new cachet! Greetings from Carbondale Illinois USA! TFTC
The Wednesday bushwalkers walked around Cooleman Ridge this morning which provided the opportunity to seek out 11 traditional geocaches in the area, of which I found ten. This one should have been a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates, but took me a while to locate. The main element of the view today was the expansion of the Orroral bushfire into Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Indeed, a sad sight. Thank you charlotteleclerc for installing and maintaining this cache.
F(H)ound It! #3265 @ 11:05 AM
It was time to climb the second bump on this hill after walking along a fairly flat path for quite a while. We said g'day to a few passing dog walkers all seeming to be heading the other way.
I really liked this GZ - great spot - panarama in fact. Those beautiful Brindabellas.
I learnt this morning that Namadji means "mountains" in a local aboriginal language.
And a really good use of this style of container, harder to find than I was expecting.
Thanks for the cache charlotteleclerc

After going on a walk with a Meetup group (out in Sherwood Forest, where I managed to find a couple of caches we went past), we all came for coffee in Duffy, and after that I decided to go grab a newish cache in Rivett (that I had not yet grabbed on my way home from work, in Warramanga) and visit my Granddaughter (who lives in Rivett) that cache was there, but my granddaughter wasn't home, so I decided to do the only logical thing - some more Geocaching
Was going to do a (sort of) nearby multi, then i noticed this one odd green dot not too far away on my map, so I decided to come for a nice walk and turn it into a smiley
After that I ended up doing the multi as well ... which I collected as the sun set ... lol
TFTC - I enjoyed a really nice walk along and up here... and took lots of photos of flowers, trees, views, kangaroos, etc and a few silly selfies, and a few not very clear photos of parrots in the amazing old gum tree nearby... the one that is kind of shaped like a brain

Parked in a familiar spot and walked up to the cache. Nice views and a well hidden cache (a more solidly built sign than the usual fare).
Thanks,
Thanks,
Collected this one on the way back from the top of the hill. Exactly as advertised and TFTC charlotteleclerc
Getting out for a walk whilst the weather was semi-decent. A family group close-by so I took time to note all the hills, many climbed, some still on the to-do list, before making the find.
Sorry for the late log - I just realised I had not recorded these!
I found these caches on a gentle sunday-afternoon bike ride around Cooleman Ridge - always a popular one with me. I'd never taken these middle paths though (not the best for bikes I guess) so it was good to be shown somewhere new.
This one took me a second look - good job on the camouflage! I enjoyed the view of the Bullen range, another local feature that I have some attachment to.
Thanks for the cache!

I've been a bit slack with my caching this year and missing not getting out so much so today I found myself in the area, finished a bit earlier than expected and looking for something to fill the time so this last traditional cache on this ridge to find was just the thing. An easy walk along on the tracks and didn't take too long, must say I was impressed that there was a ridge around the area without a cache and with such great views, although the views across to the mountains have always been a favourite of mine! Great location so a favourite from me, Thanks for the cache charlotteclerc.
Was greeted by an 8 legged local when I put my hand on this one. Got my heart going more than the walk.
Out for an afternoon hike with the McSurl tribe. Beautiful spot. Cache was a tricky one, but found in the end. Nice one. TFTC.
