I solved this one a while ago and have had 2 unsuccessful attempts to find it. Today I went there armed with a bit more information and located it but couldn't get it out. I could feel the plastic back but it was like it was a permanent part of the structure. The recent rfain we had had swollen the wood and it wasn't going anywhere. I tried a couple of things close at hand to try and get to it but it wasn't budging. I looked for secret latches or locks but there were none. I was about to log another DNF and went back to the car. It was a hire car so I didn't have my usual tool box but I did find something that would help. I went back and managed to free it. Contents were a little soggy but I managed to sign the log.

Only Mr Felix made it to GZ as Mrs Felix couldnt find a way by bike. He searched but came up empty handed today.
A revisit is required, now we can see the way that is easier access.

Full time nomads since February 2014, here to visit family.

With rain forecast we headed out this morning on the bikes then at lunchtime we changed into the GeoCruiser for the afternoon.

Even managed to revisit 3 DNF and converted 2 of them. Wink Boy theres sure some tricky caches around here. This was a revisit and it took alot of work to add our name to the log. Fave point from us.

I was helping my brother doing some paving in Melville. After we finished for the day the Better Half and I went for a drive and then walked up to this cache. Cache was found without problems. The log was signed and the cache returned as it was found.

Thanks Bristag for placing this cache for us to find.

I’ve been keeping my eye on this cache for a bit now and thought I’d found a possible location that would be worth searching, spoke to some previous finders about my hunch and got a thumbs up.
Was hoping to be able to get closer with the car but was a generally easy walk into the cache.
Took about 20 minutes searching all the little nooks and crannies before we noticed something a bit different from the rest and a bit of manipulation had the container in hand.
Managed to get everything signed and replaced just before we were interrupted by muggles.

SirFancy and I chatted about where to head tonight and seeing a good variety of cache types available decided to head up to Freo.
Puzzles and labs were our main priority but we snagged a couple of traditionals too.
A successful night out has me claiming 6 finds, 6 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s.

Myself ICNothing and Kapelula joined up as Team MIK today driving around…
This one was worth the patience and PAF moment! There is a lot of rubbish including two suitcases at GZ which we did not touch… but we made the find. With a sigh of relief and FP coming your way, thank you!

Team Mik are out and about caching and lunching to celebrate our birthdays. With the weather so warm today we have decided on focusing on park and grabs but are still enjoying the hunt. All caches found in good condition. Logged as team MIK

I managed to solve the puzzle a couple of weeks ago and we were passing this spot on our way into Freo so I decided to give it a go but nothing was found. Maybe another time.

A trip like this needs some decent preparation. Service the car, stock the Eski and have the pick nick basket ready. And here we go. Following the directions closely we moved our way south slowly, Here and there we had to make some executive decisions but we did not get lost and picked up the route again. We stopped a few times for coffee and lunch as enjoying the journey makes you hungry and thirsty. When we finally got to GZ we had another challenge. Heaps of people spying on us while we explored the area. We had a look around but could not find anything what could be a hidey hole for the cache so we decided to give it another go later as it was getting dark now too. The second visit we drove directly to GZ now to find GZ blocked off due to maintenance. We contacted the CO who gave us a hint and that the cache was still accessible. A week later we tried again and found, with help of the CO the cache, or at least the camo, but that is where we got stuck. Sent pictures to the CO again and he said "leave it with me, I will fix it". A bit later we received a message the cache was ok again and today we thought, let's try again! And yes we found the cache this time. So here you see, never give up! Thanks for the wonderful journey Bristag and the amazing camo. This really deserves a favorite, just a shame not more people take this journey too!

Too hot to search any longer today. Great puzzle but no luck finding a regular sized cache

Find 13 of 14 with just one DNF on a pleasant bike ride in duck country, then a drive through Freo picking up some solved puzzles.

I think we were vying for first to solve honours on this one. Couldn't get a green light without some brute forcing by which time it had been found. Today was collection day, we hoped. Hadn't planned it on being a 20 minute search in the afternoon sun though! Came away a bit frazzled and sandy - and glad we hadn't come out for the FTF based on PP and fratra's logs. It's definitely a compliment to say this is duck-like in its ingenuity and construction. Very pleased to make the find and then unlock its secrets in a few seconds. Very nicely done and well worth a favourite point, not to mention it's a great location too.

TFTC Bristag!

This cache did take me to the edge! I was ready to admit defeat after several frustrating visits.
I asked for a hint from a fellow cacher and went back for another attempt this morning and ureka!
I had the right idea of what it was previously but just hadn’t figured out how to release it.
A fantastic cache! Well made!

Another cooler day than has been the norm for the locals recently - great timing for our Perth visit. Met up with iluvtrekking and Everlasting for a big day out. Very clever puzzle with many twists and turns. Loved the container which is a work of art. Thanks for the effort put into this one Bristag

09-Dec-19
We teamed up with Everlasting and richlink today and made the most of the time available while richlink were in Perth by gathering as many previously unfound caches in the area as possible.
This cache was voted Cache of the Year, magnificent. Thanks, Bristag for your contribution to our fun for the day. A favorite point from us.

I figured this one out quite easily as it’s near to where I live so I knew a lot of the streets you were referring to.
I’ve visited this site twice now looking for the cache.
I thought I’d go away and think on it as I was in a rush the first visit.
I thought I’d figured it out so went back but I still don’t seem to be able to find anything even after pulling nails and bolts and bits of wood.
It’s not the nicest spot to be groveling around I the ground with barbed wire and broken glass. A few months ago there was a flat screen tv under there, I presume stolen.
I think I’ll shelve this one, but thanks for the hide all the same

Faced with a swim at one unfound cache or a close encounter with spiders at another, I chose the latter and ended up at this GZ today. I managed to take a wrong turn on the puzzle and needed to be redirected by a fellow cacher. Kudos to those who have solved it unaided; far more patient that me. It was a lovely morning for a ride. The last few hundred metres to GZ were a challenge, especially when a Prado heading in the opposite direction to me forced me to stop and have to do a hill start with cleated shoes. I enjoyed the view before the search began. And, boy oh boy, did the search continue. In pretentious cycle speak, it was a poor choice to wear Rapha on both the top and bottom, with white arm warmers, for a search like this. I got to the stage where I was sure I’d found the cache but couldn’t extract it. I yanked on what I thought was the “pin” but nothing would budge. I found a strip of metal and tried to lever the camo out. It jiggled but just wouldn’t come free. Finally I found the actual pin and, praise the caching gods, my name was added to the log. I was hoping to be able to see one of my favourite artworks from above, but the trees obscured it. I took some photos but they’re mainly spoilers. Selfie attached of the non spoiler variety. A clever hide; it’s a shame that it’s not a trad cause I think many many more would enjoy your craftpersonship, but thankfully one of the few things a hider does get to control is the type of listing. Thanks for the adventure.

After a bit of back and forth with the CO, he gave me a bit of a tip and I was kicking myself at just how simple the puzzle was, as it just unravelled like an honest bloke in a lying contest.

Since that point in time, I have had the cache sitting in the solved pile, but with me working 6 days a week at the moment, I haven't had the time to dash for the cache. Thankfully, this afternoon with a bit of time on my hands, I seised the opportunity to head out for the final. I had my instincts on one particular object on arrival, after doing a bit of poking around. Having already had a peek at the hint in my initial attempts to solve the cache, I knew how to get my name on the log!

A neat little puzzle, a top location and a quality hide. Certainly upping the bar for geocache standards! FP awarded - would award 2 if I could! Thanks Bristag! Big Grin

I thought I had found it, but it wouldn't budge. Sad

Headed out with OOH YEH to nab a bunch of caches that have been on the radar for too long, a good morning caching with good company and nice weather.

Thanks to the local COs for their hides.

Fav point here

18-Feb-19
Decided to head out with B12 this morning to find a few caches. Mr OOH YEH had finally solved this puzzle so this cache was definitely on the list. Made our way to GZ with Mr OOH YEH hobbling up the pathway with his sore foot then the fun began trying to find this very sneaky cache. Must admit I thought we were going to be logging a DNF till Mr OOH YEH saw something we all hadn't spotted after a long half hour of searching.....Not going to say anymore except a very clever cache worth a fav point TFTC Bristag

Spotted this one on my map and soon worked out the puzzle. A very good puzzle I must say. I tripped over a few numbers and added some red to the checker but soon had the green tick. A fav for the puzzle.
Then off to GZ. A bit of very hidden bushland in an urban jungle. And then GZ provided a unexpected surprise. So another fav.
After spending ten mins searching I soon had the cache. And another fav for the construction and hide.
So after using three fav points here (if only) I walked away smiling. TFTC

Bristag: Great Puzzle; Check. Great location; Check. Ability to search unhindered; Check. Very very clever hide; Check. Brilliant construction; Check. Worth a Favourite; Of Course coz it's a ripper; Check. Thanks for this beauty; well done and we had a hoot, albeit a tad frustrating to the point that we nearly logged a DNF but perseverance paid off.

Nanny & Poppy got my own online account so I can now log this, found with Parkacruz, smileyjims & piknik15 TFTC

This puzzle took us a bit before we were on the right path, many notes scribbled down to realise that wasn't working, so back to the start again. Finally we had something that seemed to be working before bingo, we had our final coordinates. Today was the day we headed out with piknik15 to find and sign the log book. This cache was just as good as the puzzle, a favourite point here. TFTC

Out for a day with Nanny & Poppy aka parkacruz and we found your cache TFTC

Cache page updated to a different geochecker, there is a solution that is close but not close enough, if this is inputed into the new geochecker you will recieve an addition hint.

After solving this in conjunction with PP2, getting a tick on the original checker and spending 40 minutes searching around the heat has defeated us.

28-Jan-19
Been here an hour. Now 34 degrees. I think I have to call it quits before I collapse.

28-Jan-19
I have updated the hint to narrow down the search, this is to avoid some nasty items I have been informed reside at GZ

*ftf* @ 12.55pm with pommieparkin2, though in the excitement we wrote 11.55am. Spent sometime last night following a path of investigation that led us nowhere. Woke this morning and received a message from pommieparkin2 about a very promising lead they had been following but that wasn't quiet working. We had a look, cross checking what they had and found a confusing piece of info online. Made a slight adjustment to their coords and we were all happy to see a nice green tick on the original checker.
Seeing as we both were heading to the general area we made plans to meet up and have a hunt for the cache together.
We arrived at GZ and after an extensive search the heat got the better of us all and we "pulled the pin" on the search and went our separate ways.
After finding a couple caches in the area we saw the updated hint come through. A quick call to pommieparkin2 who still hadn't headed back south and plans were made to meet up again.
The hint helped us narrow the search area slightly and we were looking at something that had caused comment on our first visit. Followed through with a more thorough investigation and we couldn't believe it when the cache materialised.
This cache really deserves 2 favourites, one for the puzzle and one for the amazing camoed cache. Sadly we can only give you one very well deserved one.
TFTC Bristag this is find # 5806 for us.

Joint {*FTF*} @12:55 with fratra(only she was suffering from heat stroke & wrote 11:55 on the logbook)...no one volunteered to go back & correct it!
I woke up this morning, switched on the computer & it just came to me. I was sure that I had the right method but could not get a green light. It turned out that I had just one digit wrong.....great puzzle.
The time on the log could have been correct as we were certainly at GZ then.......if only
