With some personal health challenges in recent years and growing kids with diverse sporting commitments, maintenance is not as achievable as it used to be. Indeed, my involvement in any form of geocaching in general is pretty limited at present, so I will create some space on the board on focus on ALs, which I dont need to maintain!
Found one at last. Admittedly, it was on the ground, but at this stage will take anything. I am told that we are replacing it appropriately. TFTC

Tftc ozgeomuster, puzzles previously solved, some needed assistance. Finally able to try to collect a smiley here. Log signed. Added new log paper and ziplock bag.
Good coords lead me to the exact spot. Log is soaked, only just able to write my name. TFTC
Up this way for work so getting around to find a few of these OGM as we didn't have time during the mega to other events at the time. Thanks for the variety of puzzles and generally no issues making the finds and we toured around. Signing duties completed and caches re hidden. TFTC
With restrictions starting to ease in our Covid World, it was decided that 2020 caching really need to kick up a gear, and so a plan was set in motion for The Rats, Steeba and myself to head to the Newcastle and Hunter region. There were a few trails, power trails, and Lab Caches that would be hitting our radars, along with a milestone for The Rats. We headed off on Thursday evening and turned for jome on Sunday afternoon. A wonderful long weekend was had, and our cache finds topped 450 for the trip. All in all it was a great success.
The caches were excellent. Some indeed were amazing, and favourite points have been awarded. The company, as always, was faultless. The weather was varied. We had sun, rain, wind, colder, warm, more wind... A bit of everything! We managed to find a few nice spots to camp, and enjoyed the company of Big Matt and Marcus Vitruvius for dinner at a local establishment on Saturday evening.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

COVID has really put a dampener on this year’s caching ability, but it hasn't stopped my enthusiasm to get out and find a cache whenever possible. So, it was with excitement that I was keen to catch up with Steeba and Hoojar for our first caching weekend of the year.
We targeted a number of powertrails in the Central Coast and Hunter region over our 3-day caching frenzy. The weekend threw up a bit of everything, including a plethora of finds, mountain bush bashing, coastal caching, weather that varied from beautiful to bizarre, sleeping under the stars, some close calls with the flora and fauna, lovely local hospitality and most of all, a great time away with my mates”.
Thanks to all the C.O’s for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find. Apologises for the generic log but with so many finds I couldn’t personalise every one of them.
We spent our first cleaning up the remaining OZGEOmuster caches that we didn’t find on our visit to the Lake Macquarie mega. The night through up a few surprises, none more so than a number of local muggles who helped us find caches that were close to their houses.

Well 2020 has been a relatively slow year on the caching front due to COVID-19. If it wasn't for that it would have been a trip to the USA and Geocaching's 20th year celebrations.
However the crew got back together and The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up for a few days caching up around the Hunter area. First it was to finish off some of the older OZGM series caches then up into the Watagans for more. Most of Saturday was spent tackling the great Dogs Head Trail then on Sunday it was down into Newcastle city for some great caches.
This was another find on our trip.

It seems so long ago that we were at the mega in Morisset. I'd worked hard to solve the puzzles but then didn't manage to pick up the finds.
Fast forward to today, PelDroedGwin and I decided to get out of the city for a drive and use the trip to tidy up this area.
Another fun word puzzle.
At GZ int had me confused but maybe it's chest height to our geo-dog Peppa, the Chihuahua

Out on an unofficial solo grumpy expedition this afternoon, to go after the remainder of the OZGM caches that I missed or DNF'd last month.

We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, staying for a couple of nights in a park cabin at the Lake Macquarie Big4 Tourist Park in Mannering Park, to continue with our caching adventures on the Western shores of Lake Macquarie. Our previous visit to the area was in March/April 2018 for the OZ GeoMuster 2018 Lake Mac Mega Event, where our family’s chief puzzle solver had managed to solve (unassisted) a good portion of the Mega GeoArt puzzle caches that were on offer. And this new visit will hopefully see us complete most of the missing pieces of that Mega GeoArt, thanks once again to our family’s chief puzzle solver’s (unassisted) puzzle solving efforts. This was the 25th of 28 finds for the day, and 47th of 73 finds for the weekend.

Knowing that we would be travelling in this area of the country around this time of our current visit to Australia, we had set about trying to solve as many of the puzzles in this series as possible while still back at home in Africa. We very much enjoyed the range and variety of the puzzles, and we also appreciated the very nicely presented hints and tips webpage provided - perfect for anyone solving a particular type of puzzle for the first time or when struggling to solve one - after all we can't all know how to solve a puzzle immediately! We weren't able to finish the task we set ourselves and so we have only been able to search for those we had solved, but we plan to return again on a future visit and by then we hope we will have solved the rest of the puzzles and be able to complete the geo-art with smilies! This one was soon found in this pretty location. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the puzzle and greetings from Zimbabwe
We have spent a couple of nice days in mannering Parks caravan park

We have solved the geoart OZ Geomuster caches already back home in Germany.
We’ve started the tour with our cacher vehicle today and were able to see many nice spots along the way

We set up camp at a caravan park at Mannering Park yesterday and positioned ourselves so we could head out and do this cache series which we were unfortunately not able to do when the event was on. We teamed up with the Snakepiters and enjoyed the comraderie that goes along with doing a trail like this one. We appreciate the effort afforded in placing this cache and series. Thanks to ozgeomuster for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Our first full day doing the OZ Muster Geo Art, plus picking up some others nearby, reasonably succsessful picking up 51 today. Half day tomorrow to recharge.

I had a few days off from work, and I decided one of those days I should drive up to Lake Macquarie to find many of the puzzles I had solved in the series "Be My Cachetine" series as well as the 'OZ Geomuster' series. Time was running out to complete the whole series, but as there are so many other caches to be found in this area, I will definitely return in the next months.
It was a great day with many finds in tranquil towns, along quiet road and great views of Lake Macquarie.
Big thank you to all CO for the puzzle pleasure and placing and maintaining all the boxes and micros.

With nicer weather we decided to go for a drive and find a few caches within my 30KM radius. I have had this solved for a while but it take me a couple of goes to get the order correct when i was solving it. I got out and made a quick find whilst everyone else stayed in the car. TFTC

On a beautiful day to be out and about, we gathered up the family and headed out for a day of caching to visit this series. Needing 33 caches for a certain turtle, we picked out just over half of these caches to find. The kids enjoyed making most of the finds, as well as making swaps in and out of each cache.
The series is very nicely laid out, which is largely due to a massive effort by the garbageman. Having laid out a geoart myself, I fully appreciate the work and maintenance put in by this man, especially being a non committee member! All in all, we came home with no DNF’s, and all the caches were in good order. Had a great day!

Having a few unfound puzzles and others around the Oz Geomuster that I hadn't got to on the actual weekend, I decided to take advantage of a day off and having a work car with three quarters of a tank of fuel that I have to give back after the weekend I thought I would come up and hit some more as after that it will be public transport caching only at least for a few weeks. All fairly simple finds except where noted otherwise. Thanks to the Oz Geomuster team.
Didn't make it to the mega because I was in central NSW at the time, so today I still needed to get a load of points for the planetary souvenirs. So 340km & 16 puzzle caches later - I have my spaceman! Big thanks to the COs & mega organisers for all of the work which they obviously put into all these puzzles.

Having been shown a description of the type of fanged critters and wriggly sticks that one might encounter in this area, it is with great trepidation that we very carefully place our hands and feet in the bush here. A clever idea to use that for a puzzle.
Good view on way up to locate this one.
We also had a good view of an ultralight flying above us as Muggle Hubby located this cache.
Thanks for the M series, we are hoping to find ten of them today for a GA challenge, whilst exploring the lovely area, during the OZGeomuster.

Leaving Sydney very early Friday and arrived in Morisset at 8am to join the caching group (5/P) meaning five puzzle solvers and we signed all logs with this simple sign in to save space in the many logs that we found over the W/E.
First on our list were the LMHS series followed by a few local caches and then we tackled the OZGeomuster and some more caches in the area over the next three days.
I would like to thank all the folk responsible for placing all the caches that we found because this will have to be a cut and paste operation owing to the number of finds.
With more good luck than anything else we only had one DNF for the W/e but we could see the red bison but it was beyond our capabilities to gain access to the log.
I have say a huge thanks to the committee for the smooth running of the weekend.
We encountered some of the local wild life a huge black snake about seven foot long and a smaller brown. They are out there so be careful.
I also helped to keep the local Leech population to survive with a donation of my blood. Did not feel a thing and this is not the first time I have helped them out but that was in another state. Gosh they make a mess of your clothes before the blood stops dribbling out.
This was my fifth Mega and looking forward to the next one later this year in Victoria.

I'm at the OzGeoMuster event in Morisset, and today Jess & Caro (minus Jess), Aussieben and I are collecting the the OZGM caches plus a few randoms along the way. We had a fun day out and all our searches ended in smileys. TFTC and series, ozgeomuster.
Geohubby and I collected these together. We found that most of them were quick and easy park 'n' grabs, mostly the only obstacles were the presence of muggles.
We were up early and grouped with omegaman1971 and Bushfire ready to go in anticipating a great day. It had taken so long to solve all these puzzles so it was going to be great to put a signature in the log to get the smiley. Most of the finds were made quick enough once getting to GZ. A quick find while attending the OZ Geomuster event. We spend some time prior to the event solving the puzzles. Some were quite easy and others had us stumped for a while. We knew what to do with this puzzle quickly but we were finding conflicting information, so we went with a 'majority rules' approach which turned out to be correct.

So here we are in New South Wales
It's time to bore you with my tales
Of how we drove around all day
Just finding things along the way
We had a list, with much to do
But like most things, it grew and grew
Until at last we had to choose
Which smiles to keep and which to lose
So if by chance you get this rhyme
You know we cached at Mega time!
