Sunday is usually a day we use to do a shorter walk (read 4-6 caches max) to also have time to prep for the new school and kindy week. We picked this ridgeline track today hoping for a walk without too much scrambling about. We can absolutely recommend this walk. If you park at the waymarked carpark and walk in both directions there are wonderful views and it's a well manageable path. Some stiles across the farm but they are sturdy and well maintained, same as all the caches along the track! We knew exactly where this one would be once close to GZ and decided to send the teen there straightforward find, on to the next. Loving the views
Lovely Relic Post here!
Was lucky to be taken out by TrinityNZ on a Geocaching day .
Haven't cached in Paraparaumu for about 7 years.
Did not know about this ridgeline track.
Easy find thanks.

Out and about with Supernannny today in the Nikau Valley area. We thought we’d tackle some of the caches in this area, and do a bit of a walk.
This was the second one we came across. I looked at my phone and said ‘it’s over there’, a bit surprised. Not quite sure how I was going to get on with getting there, but it turned out OK. A quick find once at GZ.
Thanks for the cache tmann421.

Thanks for the cache tmann421.
Very fitting title. The post it's at is not the most obvious one, but it is a relic.
Was going to do maintenance on this series - only got the first 2 before the rain set in. All ok here - I replaced the inner container and left a fresh waterproof logsheet.
Little spider friend was displeased that cache home was temporarily moved but returned carefully and hopefully guardian can settle for the night. Tftc
A quick trip out today for a little exercise before the rain sets in again. The walk along the well formed gravel track was very pleasant however the stumble down the hill to GZ was a little more adventurous. Fortunately it was an easy find once we arrived and signing was a synch thanks to GSEL's replacement log sheet.

#11,776. I was up on the Kapiti Coast to do a multicache needed for a challenge I am working on. But on the way I decided to complete the other half of this track along the Pylon track that I started back in 2020. It was a bit drier at this end with a well formed gravel trail. Wandered up the hill and then wandered down the hill and soon spied something fitting the cache title. Better still was a cache hidden close by. The logsheet was rather tatty and disintegrating in my hands. I dug out a replacement rite in the rain strip and signed my name. Replaced the cache with new logsheet where found. Thanks tmann421 for hiding it here. Enjoying this short walk with birds singing nearby.
There’s a name I can get behind Quick find, and now the cows are being migrated. Cheers tmann421!
TFTC unable to log as my pencil went right through paper, having a successful day lol
Bit of a scramble to get in and out of GZ, but cache all good. Tftc! (and now the sun's coming out )
This ones in a much better condition- just watch your ankles on this bank! What a beautiful property nearby
A walk up this pylon track while Mrs Popmac visit her auntie. The track was a bit wet at first, but good up top. FP for bringing me up here. Thanks tmann421 for the cache.
Enjoyed a few hours walking and locating eight caches on the Kapiti Coast today. This was a quick find, just one of three in these parts as I’d located the ones further south on a previous occasion. #3290. TFTC.
Another find of this series along the ridge line track. Cache is in good order although log a bit fragile. Some interesting swapables there. TFTC
Last day of school for the kids today and the weather had improved so we came out for a quick walk. Good to get them off the screens for a bit. Thought we'd walked past the cache so started backtracking and then realised where it would be, eldest son took off and had it in hand before youngest son and I arrived at GZ. Dropped off a trackable. TFTC
Last find of the day as we were running out of time but luckily it was obvious where it would be. We will return at a later date to do the top few caches, hopefully in better weather so we can take advantage of the nice views from up here.
Find #3078. A new track to me so a good excuse for a walk on a wet southerly day in Wellington - go north to finer climes! Though still a few showers and a cold wind!
Parked at the southern end and walked the return route, caching along the way.
Plenty of cattle around, and I'm not sure the farmer would be too happy having people traipsing off the designated track, but a good location nonetheless. SL TFTC

We have been waiting for an excuse to do these caches on Bright's track and with the team China doll here from the UK this was the perfect excuse to do so. Little blue hen was keen to up her stepcount and by leaving a vehicle at each end of the track we completed the mission from North to South with ease.
Accurate coordinates and logically selected locations for the caches made for a very pleasant afternoon stroll. Tftcsl

Lovely walk with bkj97 and team China doll 47. Helped walk off lunch and prepare us for dinner. T4TCSL
The first day of our holiday in New Zealand and after lunch decided to do this lovely walk suggested by our caching friends Bkj97 and little Blue Hen. Having positioned the cars at either end we set off. Another quick find once at GZ for the men while we directed operations from the top. Signed the log and returned and continued our walk. TFTC
At first we thought we'd past GZ, so did a bit of backwards and forwardsing before realizing we need to go off on a tangent slightly After that it was a quick find.
We left a pet rock - a dog.
Thanks for setting this up tmann421

TFTC! Never knew this track was up here. Good thing i wore my boots as they got caked in mud from the first part of the track. All relatively easy caches in good condition along the way
I was out and about in Paraparaumu, making the most of a sunny day, and decided to walk along the Brights Farm track to try for all the caches along the way.
I hadn't been into the Nikau Valley for almost 20 years, and had not walked this track before, but all the caches along it were found with relative ease, and replaced exactly as found after being signed. The walk itself was certainly challenging at times, especially after some of the wild weather we've had over the last week, but I enjoyed the exercise and the views, so thanks for giving me the reason to discover it.

Thanks tmann421 for the cache. This is our find number 816 and we found it at 11:35 AM on 27 May 2018.
Dog is loving the walk! Especially the cross country bits!!

Today is my birthday so forcing the kids to cache haha. No 1 along the ridge walk.
Cache names are very helpful and we saw a possibility - uneven ground makes for a fun journey but pleased to report no sprains or tumbles! We dropped off a zebra trackable that has been with us for a while - no zebras here but hopefully some stock on a different day. TFTC
For the first time today, I actually had to spend a minute or two searching for a cache. If I had have approached from a slightly different direction, I would have spotted an item of interest immediately. Instead, I found myself searching some other objects that I knew didn't find the description. Once I turned around, all was revealed.
Cache # 4,237 - a quick find after a short and brisk walk. In the likely place! Did with CelloJoss. A bit cool today. TNLNSL. TFTYC!
Consecutive caching day # 1,799

Nice to have an easy one... No muggles in sight so I could approach this one straight away with due care not to sprain an ankle

Walked right past this then realised where it would be. Lovely spiders nest on the way. Easy find for my 450. TFTC
Needed a leg stretch after sitting at a desk all day so this series was just what I needed. Nice easy stroll to this one and no problems with the find. Thanks for the cache.
I don't know if it's my imagination but hides from this CO seem to either be fiendishly difficult or else hidden in the only possible place making them immediate finds. This was one of the latter which was, quite frankly, welcome after DNFing the one by the road. TFTC.
Easter Sunday, a gloriously fine, sunny and still day on the coast. We took the opportunity to visit this walk, hitherto unknown to us, and tackle the geocaches laid here.
We headed in from the Valley Road end, walking to Nikau Valley Rd and back.
Number 8 and our final find on this walkway as we headed back on the return journey to Valley Road.
Straightforward find on this one.
Cache in order; log signed, then all safely re-hidden, just as found.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.

We had quite a heavy shower while walking to this next cache, but it was over in minutes, and it is pleasantly warm. Spotted something that fitted the cache name, and the GPS indicated this would be the spot. Had to descend the slope with care as the ground was a bit uneven; looks as if it has been cut up a bit by cattle. Another quick find. Tftc tmann, now on to the next.
#9966. We teamed up with Flowerydaze to go on an enjoyable joint exploration of the Bright Ridge Skyline Track on the Kāpiti Coast this Saturday. The weather forecast was for scattered rain to develop from around midday. So we made an early start this morning hoping to enjoy some cloudy but drier weather before the expected rain arrived. We left one car at the Valley Road trailhead, and drove to Nikau Valley to make a start from there to head back to Paraparaumu at the other end. As it turned out, the scattered showers had arrived once we got out of the car at Nikau Valley. So we donned on our wet weather gear and Team Geocacher Mr T remarked that if we did that, the rain would surely stop. And so it turned out to be the case. After a short while, the showers had moved off and it was relatively dry for the rest of the walk.
The track and GZ were all quiet when we visited. We spotted the post relic and then made a quick find here. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Favorite point added for the series.

Weather's cooperating today, so a second attempt at this series. First find of the day here. Nice and easy. Onward and upward!
I came up the coast to clear this recently published series. A nice day for a walk and not being too hot this morning. I spotted the hiding space and after a touch of cross country walking got to the GZ. A quick find and everything was in order. TFTC [Find # 4151]
I had a bunch of new and unfound caches on the Kapiti Coast so decided that as the weather was good I would spend some time today and knock off as many as I could. Parked the car in Valley Road and walked to the end of the track collecting caches along the way and then returned the way I had come. Another almost instant find, there was only one place this one was going to be. Signed log, TFTC
Saw where this cache was going to be on the way in but decided to leave it as in full view of a house. Changed my mind on that coming back out. Was a quick find. SL TFTC.
No worries working out where this one was lurking. Nice little walk. I turned around here and headed back to the car. TFTC
11.20am. No one else here today so I didn't need to practice stealth.
Thank you. David.
