Logs
Travelling around South Island for 2 weeks while in NZ. Finding caches here and there. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
Spending 2 days in Invercargill and have set aside one day to do the Pengi geoart and other caches along the way. Great weather today to be roaming the countryside. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining the caches we visited today.
A nice quick find, quickly spotted as we left the car. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are off on a cruise around the south of the South. Great to be away. The day was fine, though quite overcast,as we travelled around SouthlandOccassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Hahaha - love spotting these! Quick find. Some of the log ripped off but rest is ok.
Trouve ! / Found it ! 4788me cache trouve.Merci Downsouthinv pour la cache 4788th cache found.Thank you Downsouthinv for the cache
Heddon home after a morning we thought we’d get this one that was sort of on the way. It took about 3 seconds to find it but 3 minutes to get the container open. Somebody did it up real tight! The log is a little damp but we managed to sign. TFTC
Quick find, in fact must be my quickest find ever. Sat in the car with The DoolittlesNZ to open the container, which was a wee mission. But all signed and back in place. Tftc
Cache 967 ️ travelling to the top of Mt. Everest today in the geo challenge I hope…. So knocking off a few puzzles here and there in Southland so far headed through Winton and looks like I’m on my way to Otautau . So stopped at this cache on the way past, cache is in great shape there buzz was very deafening today ️T4TC ️
Pulled over in car .Was wondering where to start checked hint which Made it a very simple find. liked this find very much. This is the smallest cache I've located. Wow so cool how tiny it is and how well the log is rolled up and put into this little cache.really cool.
Out for a little drive around over Easter break..... so I thought I would find out where I was 'heddon'

A quick easy find of a nicely hidden cache. As has been said, the log is wet, but we didn't have a suitable sized spare. TFTC
Im Heddon here. Got this one tagged. Cheers.
Thursday 5 November. Wintons wherigo is on the radar today also visited Foresthill. Time to go exploring Toby!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Thanks for the smiley, a round trip to Winton to grab some puzzle cache finals, picked this up on the return journey tftc DSI
Right here to find this cache - what else did you expect? Nice quick find. I haven't noted it but there are 2 photos of the find on my phone so I suspect that I couldn't get it open. Don't normally do that except on occasions like this when I am so far from home. I hope thats acceptable for the CO. TFTC # 15,494
On my way back from market at ohai so thought to grab some en route. Not this one. Caches without hints are hard on a 12m GPS accuracy
After a long time since my dnf was at a function in the big W so a quick detour on way home was a must. Quickly spotted log damp and as it was dark with car interior light signed log.
So not near the fence???? I pull up and look with my caching eyes and not with a man look. Found in under a minute so I must be getting into the thought process of how these hides work. The cache was a bit wet so had to find a dry spot near the middle TFTC MATM
Found today - very easily - had looked and looked and looked one other day so surprised too find it easily today .
TFTC
Log is a little damp if anyone is going past and has time to dry it out .
Just heading back to town after a couple of days In Te Anau

Searched for a wee while in the obvious spot before Dad finally found it. A tricky hide. TFTC
Almost gave up on finding this one. Searched everywhere until something moved eureka, found it
The clue seemed obvious enough but nothing pointed to anything out of the ordinary and with the fence being a no-go it was time to move on
A quick find for us tonight after having a half hearted search for this one a few months ago in the dark. Quickly located this evening in better light but we get the feeling that where we found it isn't where it was originally located. Have messaged CO with new location and we will leave that with then to relocate should they desire. TFTC [^]
I was a little confused here. I was out with my father delivering some bikes. He was the one that spotted it. Good hide. Tftc
This is our 4th time back here and still no find! Kids are determined... Perhaps next time!
A week away down south and a chance for some caching. Was a nice and easy find this with the hopes of lots more.TFTC
Good Friday & a lovely day for caching. Tricky wee hide. Cache not quite soon in hand but got there in the end. TFTC
Whoops somehow did not find this one today one a late afternoon drive. Actually did not have a very successfully cache trip. Took mum for a drive that was the good part. What is worse looked at finds and Mrs Hazzer found it today. So it must be there.
What are the chances, had just got out of vehicle to see Downsouthinv heddon down south to Inv. A quick search, and I spotted quickly, heading back to car to retrieve pen, SW still yet to spot. We heddon to my mothers for a birthday tea. TFTC.
We where going on a hike so we decided to stop here found yesterday with the help of Abbykit and Annielin and downsouth and on the way home we saw tuitigger and search wisely
Just about to get out of the car when we heard tooting, looked round and saw CO and Annielin whizzing past, hi you two... lol! Quite a tricky wee hide, well done. TFTC
had to put our observation skills into good use today. on the way to an overnight camp in Mavora
Parked the car and made it to the GZ to SL just as the cachje was found. Thanks for the history lesson and the cache.
Found 12 Feb 18 Long weekend getting several ducks in a row and some logging to catch up on. Blasted along the gravel roads through Waipango taking the short cut from Colac bay. Been a few years since I've traveled on these back roads pre-caching while on the courier run to Te Anau in another life around Heddon bush and Bayswater. Jumped outta the wagon after noticing the new hint adjustment that had shed more light on the hide . . . buuttt . . . nooo . . . it wasn't where I thought it would be hahahaha. Step back and think some more. Ooohh tiny and felt for the little wobble! Yep SL 2ndTF and seen the little one popped back in hide. Thanks for the new caches DSI.
Not feeling like walking up Omaui today, so time for a dot day drive.
Got to see a dramatic pastoral view (see pic), and picked up this cache - from the substation.

The rain tanks were overflowing so I'd been using the extra to wash the car in the drizzle. Came in to see the notification... A quick read to check I wasn't going g to need to go bush, and I was off. Mr Ruru came along to navigate (though I was 90% sure which way I wanted to go). Just as well wet gravel roads don't generate much dust when they are wet, cos the one we went down wasn't sealed!
Soon arrived at GZ and started the hunt... And kept hunting. Kept coming back to one item and finally my fingers felt the well hidden cache.
Surely FTF... I was on the road within minutes of the notification and think I live the closest, but it's always exciting to get the log out and have it confirmed.
Thanks for the smilie Downsouthinv.
