14:23The second day of our geo-tour, within the majestic Macedon Range Shire. The Spring weather was perfect and with such a variety of caches in a range of locations made the day most enjoyable. We noticed preparation in place to lessen fire activity this season.**FEEDBACK TO CO:** The log for this cache is in need of attention so future seekers can record their visit - it is TOTALLY full. Our thanks to 'LECK1E' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.38147*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
Popped out after working from home today to grab a cache and tick another day off my caching calendar. Log is full. Managed to squeeze my name next to someone elses. TNLN. TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 13. Travel Day, Geelong to Canberra. After a great night one the boat and even a good nights sleep, I was ashore way too early and beginning to drive home to Canberra. After refueling I started out. I did not go directly and took quite a detour via the final three western(ish) counties in Victoria I have not cached in before. This leaves Melbourne and several east of Melbourne around to almost Orbost to do one day. Seeing the heavy traffic streaming towards Melbourne in the other direction was odd in the foggy pre-dawn darkness. Eventually it got light and I reached some caches to do. All in all it went smoothly with some interesting places visited and I even made it home eventually, just before dark. All in all a great multi leg journey over almost a month. Now onto some Canberra activities. Most of the caches I did today were quick roadside caches, even if some of the roads were back trails. I stoped for a few caches along this back road trail, but could not stay too long. Thanks for the cache LECK1E46169.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2010 Oz Mega Wagga Wagga A#170**Albida**
I was sitting around at home checking out my map and thought I might as well spend a couple of hours out caching.I noticed this group of caches on my map and then a plan was hatched.I have found a few of LECK1Es caches previously and they can be very tricky ones to locate. So off to Gisborne and Hobbs Road it was, which is not a bad drive from home.It would have been a grand old tree in its day but nature has a way of sorting things out for the future.I did a lap of the tree inside and out and soon spotted the sneaky cache. The log is full and needs replacing. Thanks LECK1E TFTC.
Log is full and needs replacing.Team_Riley taking our kids for the first time in years. Our 6yr old sons first geocaching experience.TFTC
Nice and easy first find of the day! Beautiful area and nice walking track. Log is just about full and needs replaced asap. TFTC!
I noticed a walking / cycling path beside the road on the way to this one so decided to ditch the geowagon and walk this series of caches. Its a beaut day for a wander in the bush. This one was a quick find. I loved the old sentinel, reminding us of the changes in the landscape over the last couple of hundred years, it must have been quite a different place when it was a youngun.
My Day
After a busy month in July fulfilling the twenty eight day streak challenge and collecting the gold souvenir i took a break this month. But after two and a half weeks without a find i was champing at the bit, ready to get out there again.
Today i had to travel to Gisborne on other business which wouldnt take too long so i decided to add a bit of caching to the plan. Once my meeting was wrapped up i headed out for a little cache tour of the town and nearby areas. The weather was fine, the bush full of beautifully flowering wattle and the geopooch and i were both loving it. In the end we found eleven caches with one DNF and two Did Not Attempts. A great day thanks to all the COs.

I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.
Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.
Found from inside but just couldn't reach it from there.
Thanks for the cache LECK1E

Poor tree but boy does it look spectacular!! I was crawling around here for ages. Even basing my search on being 5m away, there were soooooo many options!! And lots of "Nope" not here moments I changed the overlay (it's helped previously) & sure enough I had the cache within a few minutes.
The logbook is pretty full though.
Many thanks

Find # 7,967 for me on 24 Apr 2023 at 12:36 pm.
Found after a short search. It was a long way back into its hide, but luckily I touched it, just, and it was found.
Thanks LECK1E, for giving back to the game.

Quick one - phew. Just happen to be passing by. On a mighty mission of locating 20 geocaches in each LGA so this has entailed a circuitous detour to the NE where home base is from marvellous Melbs - via the Macedon LGA which is rather nice. TFTC, the info and the FUN!
Awesome little hide. We were thrown by the clue which wasn’t exactly what we were thinking. Love all the red herrings… True LECK1E style TFTC
Currently planned burn offs along Hobbs and road is closed. From just a little from the the end of Hobbs road, been closed since Friday, the traffic people couldn’t give an indication of when it was finished. (Maybe a week?)
Nice quick find for us today! Took us a minute but we got it!

Quite an impressive sight. I’m sure it’s a lovely home to lots of creatures. Nice easy find. TFTC
Looked around the tree for a bit but couldn’t find anything maybe the last people took it
Now with the ability to travel conveniently as Melbourne cup is on, my partner and I decided Bendigo for an overnight stay and a few caches.
Decoy found then the cache.
Thanks to LECK1E for the placement and fun.

Our Bicycle User Group had a couple of rides out of Gisborne today. The first was up the hill to the station and back, to collect one of our companions before morning tea.
Then, the second ride, the main event... We were largely following the route our ride leader once used. Which makes it about as much on the flat, or downhill, as it's possible to make it out here.
Boy, there are housing estates going up all over the place. Which means one heck of a lot of truck traffic.
It was with a real sense of relief that we reached Hobbs Rd.
While the rest of our group settled down to lunch, sitting on the logs of the Hobbs Rd Dirt Rd Carpark, I doubled back a bit to see if I could find the two caches we'd just passed.
This was the second. I looked inside before checking elsewhere.
Cheers, LECK1E.
After lunch, the four riders with power assist took the road while the other two of us rode the green MTB track running parallel.
The rest of the caches will have to wait until another visit, but the trail was a hoot. As was the over 60km/h descent back into town.

Found 10.45am
Great to be back out picking up a few geocaches.
Down a road I know well a reason to stop and look for a cache. A quick walk round revealed a likely spot and the cache was soon in hand and signed.

Find 4 of 12 for the day and 2218 in total.
Found by Spice! (Echo 2 - Spice 2)
Nope, no...
Don’t know if we like these local rocks, they seem unfriendly.
By the way, how great is it to finally be out in the sun instead of home in quarantine!
(“\(0o0)/“) Thanks LECK1E for the caching fun!

Teamed up with CorianderConnected during the school holidays with 2 kids in the back, as one was MIA recovering from injury, and squeezed in the 2 Geodogs (Minks & Poppy) as well. It was an awesome day that we had been looking forward to for months. We headed out to the Gisborne area to find traditional caches as well as a multi possibly. Fish n chips for lunch, bush tracks, racing from spot to spot, and glorious sunshine made it a great day.
AS found it first
pretty easily after a previous find from us.

Mr & Mrs Boomajarril went out for the day with the two geo-dogs around Gisborne. With 3 DNF's and 9 finds was a most gorgeous sunny day. Easy find by the Mrs @ 2.53pm
Such a beautiful old tree. I can only imagine how old it must be. This one was a nice quick find, signed, returned in good order and on our way again.
Woohoo! On my second go I managed to find it, a little poking around and it was myne! Found a wolf spider in the area (>1m) from the cache so be careful. Cheers! (Gloves and mask were worn, and disposed of safely).

We found your geocache today on a walk up and around the bush areas away from people and anything that they may carry, We were somewhat surprised at the length of time between the last find and ourselves, so we were very pleased to find all of the geocaches in great condition.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache out and away from the crowds so we could enjoy our usual Sunday excersize of walking between geocache find.

1 March 2020 out with girl, nice to be in the Bush. Certainly was a tree in its day, few more burnt in the area
Found, together with DarkGinger, after some poking around. Swapped a spotty dinosaur for a domino. TFTC!
