What a hike. Was certainly tiring to hike up here but I managed to get past Big Monkey’s on top of the world this time and was able to get to the next one before thinking this one will do. Maybe I can make it up to T’Gowa Views next time. The cache container seemed to be ok but the plastic bag and log sheet was a little damp but it was able to take my signature without tearing too much.
You are certainly afforded a great view from up here. Another perspective of Townsville. There are certainly a few options up here now.
Thanks you go the cache Frullet. I only chose the HIke option today. That was hard enough.

Today was supposed to be a mountain bike ride, but with a bearing in my pedal exploding I was on plan B.

With the bike shops finally open i was able to get some new pedals and about 3 hours later than planned I was off. I rarely cache while I am mountain biking, but with the late start I decided some rest stops would be good.

No trouble finding this one.

Still no pen
Pretty easy find (or maybe we’re just getting the hang of this stuff). Container is looking a bit brittle but still all together for now ️

Hiked up from a nearby CITO in the late morning. Cache was out in the open but contents in good condition. Replaced under a couple of rocks. Was actually here a few years back but signed an archived and locked cache by mistake. Great views from up here and a bit of breeze today. Thanks for the cache Frullet.

We left our hotel with Mr 4ando saying this hike will be pretty easy I think. Parking the car his attitude changed to, I think I may have under estimated this climb and yep he had!

We did lots of rock scrambling, all fours a lot of the time and a couple of times I did not want to look back over my shoulder.

Finally reaching the top covered in dirt and our finger nails caked with dirt from clinging on, Mr 4ando goes, oh look, I thought that there could of been an easier way to get up here!

We managed to find all 5 of the caches up here before returning to the car to go and get slurpees!

Was more worried about losing the light than not being able to spot this cache yesterday. I came up and did Thuringowa views and then thought i’d come back for this one. Winning

Not a good time to log a dnf, or head on down back to the car. What was that article on geocaching and darwinism i read about lately over?

Day 7 of the Crooked clan's biennial trip to Townsville to visit the rellies for a tropical Christmas. Has it really been a week already?

Plan this morning early is to hike the mountain bike trail behind the University to get some exercise in and claim a few caches along the way. Having DNF'd the Climb a Boulder cache a fair way down the hill, I stomped my way up the top. I can remember finding the original cache here.

Searched the rocks, then read the hint and changed tacks. Nothing remotely matching the hint nearby (assuming my assumptions wood be right). Didn't expect this to be so tricky.

Anyway, some days caching is like that. Enjoyed my exercise to get there this morning and was very glad for the breeze once I got here. Many thanks, frullet

Skipped Castle hill this weekend for a walk here.
Our legs were telling us that we had been lazy in the last 2 weeks. Followed a difficult track up from the gate at the end end of the road.
A bit off a search at GZ resulted in a find. No writing instrument - No problem
Thanks for the cache Frullet

Changed this log to a note as the more I think about it the less likely it is I signed the new cache.

Hike! No other hikers or bikers seen. Quick find once I'd gasped up here in the mid morning. S.L, placed the rock carefully back on the least damaged end. Damaged end down, native roach will probably find his home again. Thanks fulllet.
In the heat of the morning I am now not sure if I found the old or new cache, didn't pay much attention to the log and the coordinates are identical. Damage comments may reflect the old one, actually I assumed at the time is was recycled... not hurrying back up there.....

I received a notification saying that an archived cache here at the summit was being locked by Ministro as a new cache was closed to being published.
After picking up another FTF on this side of town I thought what the heck it has to be close by and from memory there weren't too many hiding spots so I'll give it a crack.
After choosing the Taipan trail beginning from close to the army gate I made my ascent. Glad that I didn't need to rush without other racers, I steadily made my way to the summit. Stopped for a rest in the chair at 'Smudges Lookout' (thank you to whoever put it there) before continuing on to the archived cache's coordinates. Quickly re-found that one and had the new one in hand less than a 30 seconds later.
The FTF gives me 0.5 points on Project GC's badge generator. Enough to earn my Black Belt. Seems I earned it by making the find without coordinates.
Thanks for the chase and for bringing me here again. There's no way I would have visit once, let alone twice without a geocache as a reward.
Picked up the FTF TB again and dropped off R2D2.
FP for the location.
