After visiting this area three times in the past 4 days (up here on holiday) I finally ventured to the cache location today to make a quick find TFTC

Out and about poking around Townsville, had to come here for some chores. Quick find once i was on the level....All good here. Thank you for placing this cache here for me to find. TFTC

Found it! A quick easy find at GZ. Found some space on the log to sign. TFTC

Swapped out the perished container for a sturdier option in the same spot.Happy hunting.

Found it, goddamn listen to the thoughts u INITIALLY have. Container disintegrated upon retrieving it. But is safe. Also log is now fullTFTC

I checked on this one after the last log and as expected this one was found where it should have been.Log is almost full but okay for now. Happy hunting

Thought I had it a few times but no luck today. I'm pretty new to this so not too surprising but I gave it a good shot! From other comments, hints and description, I checked multiple levels, did a lot of looking up, and checked every shelf and corner I could see. Thank goodness shops were closed so hardly any muggles to see my antics

A quick in and around search before sighting it from below. Took a while to find the way to head up then my name was added to the log.

Last full day in town before flying home to NZ tomorrow, so was keen to get a couple more including a Multi. Was up and out before 0600 and greeted with low lying fog around base. Managed 6 finds, a couple of DNF s redeemed and a nice quiet morning out and about. Thanks to all of Townsville’s COs for their collective cache hides this trip.

Like most people it seems, started off on the wrong level, but found the container in the end and signed the log.
The log seems to be breaking apart from the weather, whereas the container is in great condition.

Nice and easy find after some shopping

I do think this is a very cleverly placed cache.. can certainly keep you guessing but there is, in hindsight, a few clues in the description. Nicely done. From one of Townsville’s better cachers to another, take a favourite point from Hosan.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC karicka

I don’t know weather to call this a long or short find. Started by looking at the ground but spotted something higher up. Spent 20m trying to find a way to the cache. By the time I got here made a quick 30s find and was off again.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 82. Townsville second visit Day 2. After a day off yesterday, I decided to have a bigger day today. I started in the city, then went out to the port region and then headed back around the strand to finish along Pallerang road. Back to urban caching is a challenge, and several DNFs today. I was very happy to find those I was able to and I enjoyed a fantastic pie from a convenience store in Belgian Gardens.

I had spotted an item I wanted to buy in the same brand store, but in another location earlier in the week, so I stopped here and found they did not have any. I had to reconcile myself to hunting down how to access this cache. It became clear what level I had to be on, I just had to find my way there. Once that was done, I had the place to myself and found th cache in a very likely spot.

We went around and around before we realised, that we needed to see day light....once we worked things out . Bingo easy found ..Singed log and returned cache its hide.. Off to get some more smiles if the rain settles down.

Here in town for the Mega, we joined up with Micaparamedic for the day. The three of us needed to do a bit of shopping before heading out caching at The Strand, so of course we grabbed this cache while we were in the building. Given the Easter Saturday crowds, we were pleased to find there were no muggles at all around GZ or even the wider area, so it was a nice quick logical find for us. TFTC Karicka.

This was a nice quick park and grab after work to collect my 22/02/2022 souvenir.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.

In Townsville for a wedding and plenty of GC opportunities with Drennostar.
We thought we had this figured out, but like many others were on the wrong level. Thanks to a previous log we managed to find the cache and sign the log still relatively quickly.

Came to find this one a month or two ago but had no luck because the ramp to access the upper car park was closed for repairs or something. Came by again and parked near GZ and was able to make the find easily enough due to it being late at night with no people around. TFTC

Last time we visited Townsville we were unable to access this cache due to COVID-19 restrictions. This afternoon we thought we would check to see if the access had been opened and Bingo... we were in luck. The log book was signed and we have another smiley face. TFTC

This was our last day in Townsville & it's amazing how the closest cache to where you are camping is the last one to be logged.
I had found this one day while I was shopping earlier in the week, but I was too short to reach it. Today I returned with hubby who retrieved the cache so we could sign the log.

Back in Germany, we now log all our fieldnotes. We had a fantastic time Down Under and we will definitly come back. As we can not make a special log for avery one, we use this specimen one. Thx to all the COs that made our visit more interesting. We really enjoyed the caching in Australia. G'day, .... and no worries, we will come back.

With all the previous DNF, this cache has been on a watch list for awhile. In the area today and decided to search and thankfully finally made this one a smiley. Found after a little searching but could be a park and grab if your cache sense kicks in. Quick sign in the log and off we went shopping.

Visiting Townsville for work and had a few hours to kill. Saw this just around the corner so headed over. Hmmm. Am I that blind? A generous hint from the CO had me feeling a little embarrassed. Got there in the end. TFTC.

ARRRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!! BUSTED!!!! By the centre security and had no excuse. So I had to tell them what I was actually doing, I will be back!!!

So after two solo visits one up one down and still no luck, .Frendo drops by and finds this one.
With a bit more of a clue and a gentle tip of "take your helmet off when you're looking might help" and I had to try again.
Tonight was the night and I was straight to it in a flash.
Funny the little factors that hinder our search sometimes.

Stopped by last night and had a search of the area. My geo phone was not my friend!!! According to my phone I was 72m off with GPS accuracy of 102m from the cache???????
I searched the area trying to go off the map with no luck. I will return with my GPS and I might get a bit closer!!!

I heard that Oscarfish86 was here lastnight and did not/could not find it, I started having a look around before I got called away, was only a matter of moments when I returned before I located it. I have the trackable..... for now, TFTC

Saw a notification come through for Cairns and hoped that there may be one closer to home. Warned my wife that if it came I would need to walk over her freshly mopped floor. The envitable happened and I was straight into the car apologising as I exited.

20 minutes drive had me worried I may be beaten to it but the log was fresh after finding the cache in the first place I tried. Spending time with the CO must have us thinking alike. Too easy!

Less than 4 points to black belt now with 2 events coming up to host you’ve just saved me a drive to Charters Towers to get the last point I needed.

Now I need to go and buy some flowers for the wife.
