I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi GLAD-NZ
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I think I found the spot where it was supposed to be though. There was a magnetic strip stuck on the sign but nothing attached to it. Must have fallen off.

Found a place that looks like a cache was there, not sure if it's been taken or we were looking in Wrong spot
Beautiful spot and beautiful view. Didn’t have to be as tall as expected. Thanks!
Quick and easy find on a lovely day walking from Silverstream northwards. Did with MycroMan, Ezratar and the Fairy half. Thanks for the cache.
One of 18 caches located today on an enjoyable bike ride along the Hutt River trail (mostly) from Upper Hutt to Pomare Station. Initially started looking on the wrong side of the track. A quick find once I moved to the correct side of the track! #2496. TFTC.
Found with Wild Thorne Berries. Love doing this with our wee Granddaughter. No pen so didn't fill in the log book. TFTC
It's a long time since we'd found a 'Stroll n GLAD' cache and a lot longer since we last walked along the River Trail in this vicinity. The aim today was to earn a few points for some Caching Carnival souvenirs. As it was threatening rain (and there'd been a shower shortly before we started our walk), there were no muggles in sight when we reached GZ. I spotted the cache immediately, though it is nicely camo'd. Soon had the log signed, cache back in place and then it was carry on towards Silverstream and the next cache.
Mrs B would NOT have been able to retrieve it.
Thanks for the cache GLAD-NZ.

The lads were out orienteering, so I headed further up the valley to get in a bit of walking towards the DGSC Distance challenge - a very credible 2402m between this and GROET 3... Wow this track was busy today with walkers, cyclist, and associated kids and canines... but I managed to find a gap in the flow of people to pick up and return this cache. TFTC, alovoely day to walk here.
Out to stretch the legs in Trentham today. Quick grab as walking past in a gap in the flow of runners, walkers and cyclists. Thanks for the cache.
Has been hot the last few days and a break in the weather finnaly came so decided to stretch the legs and do a trail Lots of neat hides along this trail liked the camo on this one. TFTC
Well the weekend was nearing by and I was wondering what I could get up to then a fellow geocacher contacted me asking if I wanted to go biking this weekend and with the family away why not I thought so Friday came around got sorted for the Saturday adventure then set off early Saturday morning reaching The Upper Hutt area around 9am we had a cuppa or two or three hen though we better stop chatting and get a move on, we set off to do a trail but while doing that make sure we also get the odd ones in between and a bit out and about as we go, as ya know when caching time ticks away rather fast so we needed to keep an eye on the time as I still had to return home sometime today., lucky for daylight savings and great weather on our side today. What a lovely area to cache in we last came here with the Mega on, so only 3 months ago but never got too much time for biking trails, the weekend went so fast but most enjoyable. It wasn't long before we had our first cache in hand then second third and so on, we signed the logs and placed the caches back exactly where we found them, a few muggles today but no one seemed to be worried about what we were up, was caching with 2 Bulbars today. caches were good no DNFs so far it was a nice quick find. better get on our way to the next cache then get a bit cleaned up have a drink and a bite to eat then start to get ready to head for home all in all a great day great company. Thank you so much for taking the time to place a cache here and give us yet another adventurous day out. Dropped nothing signed log, took nothing
Sorry about the copy and paste I usually try and do individual write ups. TFTC

For a long time we have wanted to get some smiley faces along this bike trail and these few days off in the camper were the very excuse we needed to do them. The ride was very enjoyable and very easy with just a little breeze. It was great to see such an array of different hides and to see some of the country side from a different angle. All hides appeared to be in good condition and the co ords were usually spot on
Many thanks for bringing us to this area

Canister has been replaced. We and our grandsons were the first to sign a nice, new, dry log. TFTH
In the area today so thought I'd wander the park for a few finds.
A busy pathway, but quickly retrieved once the coast was clear. No lid, but safe and dry. TFTC

Find #2901. A 44km round trip from Silverstream bridge to Birchville, on the bike, collecting random caches as they appeared on the gps.
It was at this point the gps threw a wobbly and decided I was travelling at over 40kph in the opposite direction. Turned it off! But the cache was located, not so very high, and confirm no lid. SL TFTC

On a mission to grab the caches needed to reach 365 for the year, 15 to go...took the river trail down past moonshine park tonight. First for the night...quick find and we discovered we weren't so vertically challenged. TFTC
# 1167 Rode my bike to work today so it gave me an extra incentive to get out at lunchtime to find my cache of the day. This was a mere 1.5 km from where I worked and it was a lovely way to spend the lunch, enjoying Wellingtons lovely wind! I had to wait for a horde of school kids to wander by before I could get this one. It wasnt in the first place that I looked, but once I spotted it I immediately remembered the hint, that I hadnt written down. Etherlord is correct, the container is broken in that the lid has come off its hinges and is nestled beneath the hide. Should be okay for a while if the finders return it with the open hole facing down.
Thanks GLAD NZ for the cache, one of many I feel.

Bit of a famiily catch up day to day, but time for a few caches. ManyThanks Bitsprayer
On our WENZ tour out finding caches in the area. Lovely spot by the river, as mentioned by other wish I could have gone for a paddle on such a warm day but caches must be found so signed log and on to the next... thank you for the placement and upkeep...
Could barely reach this one but tuolei was easily able to get to it.
Signed as Team DNF as part of our crazy tiki tour around the Hutt valleys and Wellington area on Day 1 of the WENZ MEGA 2018. Tftc

Having finished the nearby CITO, a group of like-minded individuals collectively known as Geocachers set off to find some more smilies while @ThatWeirdGuy04 kindly offered to take the @EtherMinions to the playground on the other side of the park.
This was a quick find but we had to wait for a 4-legged muggle and its owner to pass before we could return it.
Note: the lid is missing from the container

Grabbed this cache while in the area for the CITO. Which meant when we did the track by bike later we could swing on past it. TFTC GLADNZ.
Mega Saturday, and Capperz and I have a few goals for the day. All lab caches to solve, plenty of events targeted to get to, and the most different types in a day for me. Add in that a bit of pathtag swapping (finally!), and it was pretty successful.
First mega for me, and loved the experience. Kept bumping into a few familiar faces on our travels and met a few new ones as well. One of the highlights was a blat up and down the Hutt River on our bikes. A good idea to pack these in the back of the car after all, although it did mean we could not take any extra passengers for the weekend. We also didn’t embarrass ourselves at the quiz later on in the evening. Thanks to all COs, especially those keeping maintenance up on their caches especially for the event.

Found while at the CITO event during the Mega weekend. We joined quite a large group signing the log here. With Injeanious we signed some logs as team JeJe. TFTC!
Found this with team DnF (Drive n Find) while CITOing during the WENZ Mega Event. Good times. Nice little park here. Thanks!
WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... After experiencing broken sleep at our accommodation, it was time to pull it together and get out there... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy...
Saturday: The key is to arrive when others are standing where a cache should be. Didn't have to retrieve or return; just signed the log and moved on... TFTC.

Caching at the Mega with purdiepurdie & warfi; we stopped at the CITO and then found a few nearby caches, starting with this one.
We had solved these puzzles over the last little while, in anticipation of spending a day out here during the Mega.
Thanks for placing &maintaining this cache, GLAD-NZ.

Glad we found this one too. Found with bkj97 and kiwi couple while out and about doing what we do whilst attending the Mega. T4TCSL
Nearly sidetracked closer to the corner but gps put us back on track.
Another Mega and the inevitable list of cache finds to log. Not really a chore, just time consuming for this old geriatric. My apologies for the repetitive logs but I will attempt to add a few additional comments as I go. Had a great two days. Catching up with other cachers is always great. Day one was mainly a solved puzzle collection with little blue hen and Kiwicouple. We also squeezed in a few adjacent traditionals and a couple of multis while participating in the CITO event in Trentham Memorial Park. Quiz night was a fun event after a very tasty roast dinner and we were happy to finish only 4 points behind the eventual winners. Day two little blue hen and I gathered a few more traditionals that we hadn't done close to the Mega centre. A few coffees, a favourite point or two, some frustrating searching at one or two and then off home for a rest. Thanks to all the COs for making it another fun weekend. Now to prepare for the Melbourne Mega in November. TFTCSL

It is the day of the Mega and we are hoping to achieve 11 cache types today. After the Mega registration we teamed up with bkj97 and Little Blue Hen to tackle our list of solved puzzles and the Trads along the way. Early in the afternoon we headed for Trentham Memorial Park to pick up rubbish, and collect a few caches along the way. Did not take long to locate this one. Thanks.
Exploring a bit of the Hutt River trail. Had to get off the bike to go through the gate , so why not get the cache here.
Day 1 of Wellington Mega
Today's mission was to register, collect lab caches, other events and hopefully 11 different cache types in 1 day.
Tall order but we made it with a few minutes to spare.
We also collected other caches that we had solved prior to coming.
Turned into a bit of a day so sorry for the copy and paste of logs.
Thanks to the cache owners for the placement of these caches.
Looking at the greater picture of the Wellington area we have only scratched the surface so will be back at some stage. SLTFTC

A popular cache here with lots of people in the area for the CITO. We headed over here and added more ink to the paper, Gkmlb made the actual find while we checked where it wasn't. T F T C GLAD-NZ
Back on the bike trail again now and same as earlier we got into a good successful routine;
Pedal - Stop - Find- Sign - Replace - Repeat.
Day 1 of the actual MEGA. It's the Saturday and both ricardinho.nz and I were awake early in our respective accommodations and keen as can be to getcon the trail nice and early. We were in the car before 0700 and breakfast at Maccas got us underway prior to a real busy day. We had a River Hutt-side cycle, the events and registration at Cossie Club earlyish before racing off to get all the details required for the Lab caches, attend a few associated events, another bike-ride along the nice and flat Hutt river-side. Finally there was a Flashmob before a 'few more' then the Geo-quiz where the upper South did nicely in a podium position - PHEW! What a day!!
The big day(s) has/have arrived. It's MEGA weekend in Wellington region and the culmination of lots of hard work by the organising committee. Also, not to be forgotten, are the caches of the local, and not so local COs, which help the game to continue and enable the enjoyment of others.
The trip has been planned for a while now and the Blenheim contingent of Ricardinho.nz and myself are coming over early on Friday morning on the Bluebridge ferry (after an early morning (non-) 'event') before returning on same mode of transport on Monday lunchtime.
We didn't manage much caching on the Friday but made up for that with 3 good days after and over 100 finds for the weekend to boost my Wellington region finds past my Nelson region ones and even giving my previously prolific Auckland numbers a 'nudge'.
Over the weekend there was plenty of socialising, sharing of ideas, opinions and interesting conversations and a podium spot for the Geosaders quiz team. Allied up with some new caching friends and remet several other rarely seen friends from other areas of the country. A good weekend all around and even the weather played nicely with a sunny outlook each of the days, without it being too warm and uncomfortable. Plenty of events attended, pleasant walks experienced, a couple of bike rides along the Hutt River as well as a smattering of GROET caches for which we were GLAD.
Thanks to all of the cache owners for their hides and listings and looking forward to the next time I visit the area to continue the enjoyment.

What an elongated weekend with firstly an over night at waikanae and gatherin g in a few caches around there, and then onto the Hutt valley, travelling through to the Wellington Airport to pick up geo son and head to Karori where we stayed for the weekend and I stayed on for a further day or two before heading back up north again. At least the SH 1 was open going home and I I didn’t have to travel over Paekakariki hill which I did on Friday.
I managed several caches around Hayward/ manor park area, Avalon, Lower hutt and then around the coast to Breakers bay etc etc before going to rongotai and then south to Moa point etc. before heading to the Airport.
Saturday we picked up a couple of challenge caches and others on the way up to the Event, getting there in time to register and head to the CITO event. Then a few more challenge caches and trads before heading to the Flash mob. Back to the venue where we had tea and got ready for the quiz night. Which unfortunately went on a little long.
Sun day saw us pick up a long over due mystery cache on tinakori road before heading to Petone and then up to Upper Hutt where we completed the Lab caches some puzzle caches and thee wherigo before heading back yo Karori to have tea with grand chn and family etc.
Monday we went to Zealandia where we completed two more caches before taking geo son back to the airport. I then drove home the next day after the bulk of the traffic had gone.
It was a great weekend and a great Mega event . thanks to the organisers and ALSO thanks to the REVIEWER who alerted CO about the status of the their caches etc so most caches were actually there and not missing. This was a truly amazing effort on the REVIEWERs part. Thank you.

Out and about on a cache run with G2, Indianna Jill, Renelm, FMZ, Slieschke, lots of MEGA fun. No problems with the find TFTC.
We found Stroll n GLAD #10 (Upper Hutt) on our Wedding Anniversary getaway to the WENZ Mega.
Surprise Surprise we came across a small gathering and the cache was located quickly.
Stopped and had a chat and turns out two of the cachers had attended my event in Thailand last year. Hells bells was that funny. If it wasn’t for geocaching....
Thanks GLAD-NZ for placing this cache and being a part of out geocaching adventure
