What a great way to start the day. Finding a cache that pays tribute to Gracie7+Mum was high on my priority once I noticed it was here. We were traveling in the wrong direction to easily pull into the parking area but with the traffic so light and the visibility pretty good we could get across without too much of an issue.
Gracie7+Mum rank second on our finds by owner list on project g-c, only behind bumandworker - but as the years go on I feel that they may become number 1 with bumandworker out of the game now.
I too love the places we have been and where Gracie7+Mum have taken us in pursuit of their caches.
The cache was quickly found and I was pleased gk was there to deal to the spider webs as they are not my favourite thing to put my hand into.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

On a trip with my partner in a truck and trailer, great that there was enough of a lay by to fit our large vehicle. Quick find and a fitting tribute! TFTC!
Our first stop on our way out to check on the Know When to Hol Em' card series. We stopped here to move the GeoCoin on. All good here.
Found where gracie7 & Mum would hide it as per the hint! With Campmotherandken TFTC
After a train ride and other stuff at Shantytown, Grandma and Papa (andy.gail) took me on a short bike ride to find some 'treasure' on the bike track. The other members of Gingertribe we back at Lake Brunner wake-boarding. I like finding 'treasure'. We are on our way back to Lake Brunner and Papa stopped for this one.TFTC Tufty
Hi Tufty we share your sentiments. We have been down on the West coast since Christmas and most of our found caches have been theirs. BTW We met at gizzy last March. (Green bus)
A lovely park and grab this morning on my travels. Such a lovely, well deserved tribute to Gracie and I'm a little surprised finding a Tufty cache when I'm so far from home. signed and replaced as Gracie would thx.
A caching morning in Greymouth complete. Now slowly working my way to Ikamatua.
Brunner Bricks behind me so now it is park and grab time.
A well deserved tribute too. She's number 5 on my "Finds by owner" stats and yet on hers I don't even get into her top 40 with nearly 300 gracie7 finds. I had better head back to the Canterbury Plains some time if I want to feature

Today is the second day of a Greymouth getaway. The plan is to do a bit of cycling, a bit of walking, and find a cache or two along the way. Quite a few of the ones I have found so far are Gracie7+Mum caches. Thanks to them for placing them and Tufty for this cache. TFTC
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!

(# 6212). Day 13 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting some caches from Greymouth to Blenheim as well as having a good look around. A quick find. Everything in order. Having retrieved quite a number of their caches I thought it was worthy to get this one. TFTC
Not what I would have thought was a Gracie7+Mum hide, but as the CO says, they do have quite a variety available.
Taybeedragon and I are off on another weekend's exploring - again! This time to the West Coast. The company owes me some time so I took Friday off. Lots of rain on the way down, but after that it was a nice cloudy-but-not-rainy weekend. It never rains on the West Coast when I come to visit! Parked Zara in Greymouth and explored mostly around the Hokitika area. Taybeedragon had an excellent trip planned - two cycle trips, some TMGTs and adventure labs, 74 caches all up yesterday. Today... Brunner!

Another quick snag and tag on our way back to Greymouth. Cheers
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off to the West Coast for the weekend exploring. It had rained for two days before we arrived but mostly stayed dry. Waded my way along the Mahinapua board walk with the bike!! Picked up some LAB caches and checked out Brunner. Another great trip. Thanks to all CO's.

#17888. Good to find this well-deserved tribute cache; we found quite a few G7+M caches on our four day west coast visit. TFTC.
This is the last day of StreetWalkerNZ's and my extended Waitangi Day trip to the west coast, and we were pleased to see the day dawn dry and sunny, especially after the patches of rain yesterday.
It's always a pleasure finding g+m caches, they are well maintained, imaginative and in great locations. TFTC.

Enjoying the caches put out by Gracie7+Mum this weekend so pleased to see a tribute cache. TFTC
After an awesome 4 days tramping the heaphy track and 2 days in westport with some underworld rafting thrown in (and some caches) it was time to head home to geraldine grabbing more along the way..

Seems I missed this one the first time I drove this road today, quite handy I was doing a loop and a half. Yeah, Gracie7+Mum would most likely hide a cache there but so I suspect would the rest of us ! Thanks for placing this tribute to G7+M they have made a very significant impact on my enjoyment of caching, I have found 333 of their caches at last count - - - many involving a puzzle as well as a hide. They also make a most excellent job of maintaining their own and other COs caches. Cheers for the cache.
Nothing to add to the cache description. A real asset for geocaching and thanks for all the work they put into placing their caches. Thanks for the tribute.
Had a great drive around the block today Greymouth, Reefton, Westport plus a few side roads, a bit of rain, many thanks to all the cache placer's. Thanks Bitsprayer
A quick and easy find while heading towards Greymouth this afternoon. I knew exactly what the hint meant and went straight to the cache. Signed log, TFTC.
Family (In Laws plus Sister & Brother In Law plus their kids!) holiday on the West coast (Hokitika and Westport). Holiday done and time to head for home....via Greymouth, Brunner & Arthurs Pass. Heavy rain set in but hay - gotta stop now and again for a cache or two.....now; where would a tribute to G7+M be hidden?! ha ha ha....quick find and sign here. Cheers.
After an eventful trip over last night and a spot of shopping in the morning. We had lunch at the parking area than explored the area and found a few a few geocaches. Then we came back via a different route. I enjoyed this puzzle.
Thanks so much for for your geocache Tufty.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. My mission on this trip was to travel South and West and then East and North. Nice one! A very fitting tribute and a cache quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
A quick and easy find. Yes a big UPS to Gracie7+Mum, keeping some of the older caches on the Coast going too. Cheers
We are on an extented Waitangi Weekend cruising around the Coast. Today we headed to Greymouth under beautiful blue skies.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Found with NZDi on a two day West Coast caching adventure. NZDi asked what the weather forecast was like for the 'Coast' for the weekend early in the week and when I said Friday and Saturday looked good, but Sunday was shite, she promptly booked a night in Greymouth and told me to sort out some caching to do. Taking a look at the geocaching map, I noticed the nice geo-trail of mainly traditional caches along the Point Elizabeth walkway and another geo-trail of mostly puzzle caches (about half solved) along the starting 11 kms of the West Coast Wilderness Trail.
With that as a target, I started researching the caches an solving some puzzles and blagging some puzzle coordinates off fellow cachers. On Thursday night we prepared for an early getaway the following morning and were on the road by 7.00am. The intention was to grab a few strategic caches along the route to Greymouth with a view to eventually turning the road into a path of gold, (well at least yellow). After getting four, all before Inagahua Junction, we abandoned that part of the plan as we would still be caching the route next week.
During the weekend we signed our logs either in full or abridged to KM + ND depending on space and log condition, with whichever one of us who found the cache name first.
Today is day two of our weekend while for most others it is day one. That is the bonus of having flexible working arrangements which results in every second Friday (in my case) or every Friday (in NZDi's case) off. Yesterday we made our way here from Blenheim, picking up the odd cache along the way. We then did the Point Elizabeth walk geo-trail, followed by a few evening caches in and around Greymouth and Cobden.
Day two and it was the Survivor series and a few others along the WCWT power-trail with mixed success. Then it was time to head back home. After a quick stop at the Brunner Mine with mixed results, it was time to head home proper. This was the next stop and a must do. I echo the sentiments of the CO and this is a fitting tribute to G7&M. The caches of theirs that I have found over the past two days have raised them from 5th to 3rd of COs I've found.
Dropped Queen B's Flutterby TB.

A well earned tribute. Gracie7+Mum do a great job. They have made so many of our trips enjoyable. Thanks Tufty for the tribute it was just where we would expect TFTC

Yes we can all learn a lot from gracie7 + Mum. They maintain their own as well as others caches and always seem to have a stash of replacement logs with them. The caches often have cute little containers (goodness knows where they find some of them), the trails have good parking and the wee in-theme log books are so cute. Well done for placing a tribute to them Tufty. TFTC # 13,081
Nice quick find while driving from Moana to Greymouth. The aim of today is to drop off some TBs before I head back to Christchurch in a few days. Left Boomer TB. TFTC
Day in town with father so picked up on way took TB 49 fed and dropped in at Evans of Aickens. TFTC
SJT_NZ and I had to do this one after enjoying G&&M's caches yesterday, a quick find TFTC
Found with Tregearp on a visit to the area this weekend and absolutely support the sentiment - a FP in support of the efforts of Gracie7+Mum.
All in good order - signed log and replaced as found.
All in good order - signed log and replaced as found.
Although Gracie7+Mum caches account for only 4% of my finds with 317, the only cacher that I've found more of is bumandworker so she is well deserving of a tribute. The first find of a successful day caching most of which were Gracies. Thanks for placing Tufty

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Gracie & Mum as well! We found lots of their caches in this area while we were visiting. All of the coordinates were great and the hints were so appreciated! Thank you for a great caching experience in this area! tftc!
The CO is a regular feature in the logs of my caches. It's time to return the favor Thanks Tufty for the cache
I can only agree with the sentiments expressed in the text of this cache. We are frequent visitors to this part of NZ and always enjoy looking for any gracie7 + Mum placements. It was for this reason I created GC798R5.
No problem finding this cache in between traffic on a holiday weekend.
Thank you Tufty.

First of 4 Tufty caches for the trip and a TB to grab too. All good here in a trademark place and replaced as found.

Easter weekend 2018 is here and I have a cunning plan. Well, a caching plan, but what's the difference? With mrs and daughter working over the weekend and me with a few days off work there was a chance to convert some of my solved puzzles over on the West Coast into smiley faces. And add to my West Coast caching total. And do the Point Elizabeth walk, and several other appealing strolls. And some other stuff and all the way along gaining extra points for the planetary Challenge thingy to gain some electronic 2D Geo-souvenirs. And so, setting off around 0730 on Easter Sunday with the trusty mountain bike aboard (for the Greymouth beach-side track) I clocked up just under 1000 kms by road, a few extra on 2 wheels and several more on 2 feet, quite the trip. The threatened rain only arrived on the second afternoon in Hokitika (by which time I'd done my walks for the day) and the drive back from Greymouth via Westport was in blazing Autumn sunshine - Beautiful. Fantastic scenery all around and a large number of caches from b&w and gracie7&mum helped the total to just over 180 finds.
An awesome few days which my family wouldn't have enjoyed, but conversely actually would have, for the most part. An FTF in Reefton on the way through on Day 1 was another bonus, and monkey off the back for the monthly streak. A few DNFs which is to be expected with that many looked for, but a lot of good sights and experiences too. Thanks to all the COs for their placements.

Wow! Such a great surprise to see another tribute cache just for us.
However, I would not and could not do it all without my Mum!
I do all the computering and Mum does all the driving and we both enjoy getting out there and exploring while finding new caches (so its not all just me.)
We both had a pretty good idea where the cache was before we arrived and yes, we were indeed both correct for a speedy find. Such a nice straight cut logbook (how did you do that?) I wrote the name in the cover and we swapped TBs before leaving.
Thanks so much for placing the cache for all of us to enjoy.
