On a mission at the moment to complete a challenge cache challenge in the north of Brisbane, and I had 7 target caches in Toowoomba on the radar when I left Brisbane mid morning. After making the long drive out west to the range I parked up and knew I was in for some hills. The made my way to ground zero and soon had the cache in hand, log extracted and signed and returned safely to its hiding place.Now its off to the next one on the radar today.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.Cheers[Geo Johns](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Geo%20Johns) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7JJ8P/33001 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.OK: POINTS (57,861){5249: User has 5249 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Traditional Cache) )4242: User has 1414 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Unknown Cache) )1440: User has 288 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Multi-cache) )230: User has 23 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Event Cache) )3420: User has 114 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Earthcache) )3680: User has 92 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Letterbox Hybrid) )3500: User has 70 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Wherigo Cache) )700: User has 7 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Cache In Trash Out Event) )29,400: User has 98 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Virtual Cache) )1000: User has 2 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Mega-Event Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak Block Party) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Lost and Found Event Cache) )1000: User has 1 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Locationless (Reverse) Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (GPS Adventures Exhibit) )4000: User has 4 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Webcam Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak HQ) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Project APE Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Giga-Event Cache) )}
A great way to celebrate my 600th find. I have been to Mt Peel numerous times this past year in the quest to find and sign the caches. Plus its a great place for a walk with decent views and a peaceful environment for reflection. My highlight was seeing a few deer grazing in the open. That was quite unexpected. Thanks Brother Colin for introducing me to this mountain and the cache. CheckAmbayu fulfills challenge Bronze Scavenger Hunt Challenge (GC7JJ8P) according to https://project-

It was a day to visit Toowoomba with karen rinora. We hiked close to 8km on this awesome trail system, and had a chance to enjoy the wonderful views. We found all the caches we looked for, and easily qualify for the challenges. Thanks for adding to our fun!No problem qualifying for this one. Thanks for the challenge!
Yay, one I qualify for. Cant wait to find the actual cache and sign the logbook.
Have previously signed the log back in December last year and have finally hot Round to checking if I qualify. I have 16509 points, so well and truly qualify.TFTC. Find # 1936.
Taking a leisurely walk through the Mount Peel nature reserve today. Took the opportunity to sign some Challenge cache log books that I dont yet meet the requirements to log the find.Left my logging stamp behind at the previous challenge cache, so took a little longer to log. Took 1 x TB to move along.
Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.
I convinced greencordial that this would be a nice leisurely evening stroll but having to park at the bottom of the hill added an extra 400m to the walk, meaning my trust was questionable. The scavenger hunt challenges along the mostly level trail were however pleasant in the dark.
I easily qualify with 127,412 points.
Thanks Brother Colin for adding to my day.

My friend Burgo78 is in town. Even though it’s great to see him, I wish that I could have seen him under better circumstances.
Best go and get some caches like the good old Townsville days, feel less fit than the olden days as well. It was so good to get some excercise and catch up. We only spoke smack about BenM70 for majority of the time.
Evidence is in the images.
Vale Karicka. You will be missed.
Thank you Brother Colin for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

Found & signed last year, finally remembered to run the checker and got a green tick. TFTC
Back in February, I visited Toowoomba for a 26 hour caching trip. On arrival, my caching buddy Shazzar66 and I hit Mt Peel to find the caches there. We had a busy, but successful day. We then met up with Chamad and AtTheLakeHouse for dinner and some after-dinner caches. The following day we paddled the Condamine River, finding the caches there, and then I needed to get back home to the Sunny Coast. It was a lovely, but exhausting weekend.
I’m happy to say that I qualify for this Challenge Cache.

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on a huge journey that takes them from home in Geelong, Victoria through NSW to Canberra then back through NSW to Goondiwindi, Queensland and then across to the Gold Coast. All towing a massive 12x8x7 foot trailer fully initially loaded and very heavy.
Loads of challenge caches were signed so I am initially putting notes on them all to work out what I actually qualify for.
I will log any later as I qualify for them.
Thank you Brother Colin for the Challenge

Found in Advance whilst collecting all the caches on Mt Peel. We had driven up to Toowoomba on Friday for an event on Saturday morning, but there were a couple of hit-lists of caches that we wanted to find.

Having signed in September, I am now back to log a find having confirmed that I qualify! Thank you for the challenge!
So grateful that the sun has come out to play though there was still a nice breeze as the KellerClann duo and I meandered the trails here. The locals are a little nervous of my inclination to jump into bushes as the dangers are much higher here than in Ireland but it's a fine balance between care and determination we saw some interesting wildlife on our ramble including Roo, Wallabies and a Goana! Another quick find. I love challenges so was delighted to find these, (especially as I'm not a big puzzle solver) but will wait until I've internet to check to see if I qualify - for now, thanks for the cache
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
We have set up at the free camp in Nobby that is only metres from the train line! Today we headed into Toowoomba for some shopping and some caching but we really didn't know where to start. In the end we headed out to Mt Peel and once we worked out the correct access point we jumped on the bikes and tried to find a few before the rains set in.

July is all about challenges thanks to the latest Georode Monthly Challenge in Brisbane… and Mt Peel is rich in unsigned challenges…
So I assembled a group of willing Brisbanites, and a plan was hatched for today…. A couple withdrew leaving just nikid1 and I to enjoy the glorious weather and environment up here on the range…
This is the first challenge we’ve made it to and thankfully I qualify… it was nikid1 who said, “I think it’s in there” and “ in there” was where we found the container…
Tftc… 34,719 points as at todays date…

Headed out to Toowoomba for a day of caching with Peppa and this was our target area as we were looking for some challenge caches that we qualify for and hadn’t yet signed. On arrived at GZ I thought an area looked likely and there was the cache. Yippee.
On checking today I feel I have over achieved with my total 63,924 points.

My Muggle friend Lei and i decided to go for a walk around here and find some caches. We had a great time on a lovely day. The mosquitoes however were on the rampage so we did not find all the caches today. Gives us a good excuse to come back. Today we spent an hour and a half and found 7 caches. This was our last find for today and again i was happy to qualify. Looking forward to coming back to find the rest around here. Thanks for all the fun

Following my note, 29.1.22, when I qualified, but just had no luck with signing the log, we are back in town.
Obviously the problem was my phone gave up on working properly due to overheating because today I had no problem at all locating the containers.

Needs maintenance. The container had about 1cm of water in it so everything, especially the log is saturated. I tried my best to leave my mark.

Today, with Adelaidean e.gregory1 travelling through Queensland, I decided to catch up with him in Toowoomba. We had both worked through the *Starship Enterprise* (SSE) puzzles, and so that consumed the majority of the day in finding. Following that power trail, we used our remaining daylight in walking around Mount Peel to collect a few of the interesting cache types and challenge caches. We then had a fast food dinner, and we used the remainder of the evening finding additional challenge caches in north-west Toowoomba around Cotswold Hills and Torrington. An enjoyable yet exhausting day!
Whilst visiting Mount Peel Bushland Park, we parked at Westminster Street trailhead, and walked/jogged around the vicinity with our remaining light that we had today. We headed north-west initially towards Westbrook Lookout, and then circled back to the central peak, South Summit Lookout. We then continued to walk a few further trails under torchlight, picking up a few challenge caches, before returning back to the vehicles in time for dinner. There were a few kangaroos and wallabies about, and I would love to return with my mountain bike to give these trails a spin.
This cache was found during our walk around in this area, and it didn't take too long to find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Brother Colin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found on a day out in the Toowoomba area with Davidwazza.
I am currently travelling from Adelaide up to Cairns to meet up with friends later in the month. I’ve got plenty of time to get there so have been taking the opportunity to do a bit of sightseeing and find a few caches along the way.
I was intending to do the SSE geoart series and Davidwazza was also keen so we met up early this morning at Oakey to tackle it. After a cold morning, the sun came out and it was a perfect day for caching.
After completing the SSE series we decided to go for a walk in the Mt Peel Bushland Reserve to find a few caches. The sun was setting as we arrived and most of the caches were found in the dark by torchlight without too much difficulty.
According to the checker at Project-GC, I qualify for this challenge.
Thanks Brother Colin for the challenge and the cache.

Loving that Mount Peel seems to be under the flight path for an assortment of planes flying out of Toowoomba airport. Just as we were approaching GZ here, we had a war plane fly over us nice and low. We were also most pleased that we timed our visit to Mount Peel to coincide with freshly mown/whipper snippered tracks. They made for nice easy walking between caches. Pleased to find that I qualify for this challenge. TFTC Brother Colin

Lake Somerset Trip - Day 7
Leaving the lake and starting our trip home via Toowoomba and Goondiwindi collecting LGA areas on the way. We spent some time in Toowoomba collecting a handful of challenge caches. Tardis0061 and I relocated to Mt Peel Bushland reserve where we were able to collect a variety of caches. This was the final cache for this area before heading to Moree for the evening.

Grey nomads travelling around Australia in our caravan. Held up a bit due to Covid19, so currently in Queensland only, but there are plenty of caches in our home state that we have not yet found. Currently, doing a lap around South East Queensland, and we are house sitting nearby, so able to enjoy the festivities of the carnival of the flowers and other nearby features.
The tantalising Mt Peel greets us every time we step out of our caravan at the house sit, to today, with sandwiches made, we ventured into this park, after circumnavigating to get our bearings.
Qualified, found and signed. thanks Brother Colin for the challenge and the hide.

I qualify for this one well and truly. It was the one I came to get here today. I ended up getting about 10 before this one. My knees will tell me about it tonight. Better head back to the shopping center to pick up the wife. Thanks for this one
We could see that there are some keen mountain bike trails in the area but clearly all the bikers are home in bed rugged up in their doonahs. I can’t blame them, if I had to have a cold hard pole between my legs I would too. Even when the sun came out from its hidey hole, even it thought it was too cold to shine.
We trod up the bike path to the cache blatantly ignoring the signs that a cyclist could appear at any time. We knew they were too busy hanging out at cafes shining up their Lycra like a cricket ball.
Seeing as we qualified for Gold, I didn’t bother checking for bronze. I have now that I’m logging and instead of waiting for Project-GC to load I should have bought another beer. I just did. tftc

Yay, we do qualify, helped to a large extent, it seems, by having found virtuals and Earth Caches. Sort of kicking ourselves now that we didn't bother to sign the log book on the Gold Scavenger Hunt, as we thought we'd never in a million years qualify. Doh. We were so close too. Oh well, I guess we need to look towards the silver for now ...

Yesterday, after a long day geocaching, we came to Mt Peel to have a look at the terrain and to pick up the numbers for the multi. Sitting in the car we weren't impressed with the way the trees were swaying, and the little drops of rain, but I was on a mission to find the multi, the 3 scavenger caches and the jasmer so had to set off. Although it was very windy the rain didn't really get into its stride until I went for the jasmer. At that point I ended up soaked to the skin from the wet, high grass! TFTC

During my stay in australia, i want to see as much as i can. This area with the bushes, so dry its strange for me. Today it was more then 35 degree and windy. I have seen some kangurus and birds.
On my round thru this bushland i have vistited all caches here. Greetings from germany. TfTC

After spending several hours cruising around the SSE series of caches, I headed back towards Toowoomba. I still had time and some energy to find a few more caches before I headed back to my motel. I drove to the Mt Peel bushland reserve and had a nice walk around the area finding most of the caches that are placed there. After Gold and Silver, I found Bronze. I must be doing this trail the wrong way?

We are on our war to Blackall, our 3rd stop on our trip is Toowoomba.
This morning Bill went with Roostaman to Mt. Peel to do some caches on their bikes. Roostaman also had a cache to revisit that he had left his stamp behind at a cache.
I did not go so I can only comment on what they told me. They were immpressed by the many large cache containers found here.
DiMorgan fulfills challenge Bronze Scavenger Hunt Challenge (GC7JJ8P) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7JJ8P/33001
Thankyou for placing this cache Brother Colin

**# 25532** Found on our 2019 winter escape trip to Qld with Mrs Roosta.
A perfect Spring day for a bike ride at Mt Peel reserve while at Toowoomba.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good safe hides.
