On a mission at the moment to complete a challenge cache challenge in the north of Brisbane, and I had 7 target caches in Toowoomba on the radar when I left Brisbane mid morning. After making the long drive out west to the range I parked up and knew I was in for some hills. The made my way to ground zero and soon had the cache in hand, log extracted and signed and returned safely to its hiding place.Now its off to the next one on the radar today.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.Cheers[Geo Johns](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Geo%20Johns) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7JJ8R/33004 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.OK: POINTS (57,861){5249: User has 5249 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Traditional Cache) )4242: User has 1414 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Unknown Cache) )1440: User has 288 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Multi-cache) )230: User has 23 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Event Cache) )3420: User has 114 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Earthcache) )3680: User has 92 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Letterbox Hybrid) )3500: User has 70 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Wherigo Cache) )700: User has 7 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Cache In Trash Out Event) )29,400: User has 98 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Virtual Cache) )1000: User has 2 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Mega-Event Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak Block Party) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Lost and Found Event Cache) )1000: User has 1 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Locationless (Reverse) Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (GPS Adventures Exhibit) )4000: User has 4 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Webcam Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Groundspeak HQ) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Project APE Cache) )0: User has 0 finds (0 needed) Filters:( types (Giga-Event Cache) )}

Taking a leisurely walk through the Mount Peel nature reserve today. Took the opportunity to sign some Challenge cache log books that I dont yet meet the requirements to log the find.
Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.
I convinced greencordial that this would be a nice leisurely evening stroll but having to park at the bottom of the hill added an extra 400m to the walk, meaning my trust was questionable. The scavenger hunt challenges along the mostly level trail were however pleasant in the dark.
I easily qualify with 127,412 points.
Thanks Brother Colin for adding to my day.

Also signed when I was in town for your birthday event in 2020.
I walked Mount Peel with The BEARDMAN.
Thanks Brother Colin.
I have no idea what I did to qualify for this one...
Maybe the Locationless, GPS exhibit, and all the celebration Events got me over the line...
Cheers

I remember my first trip to Mt Peel a nice brisk walk on a lovely sunny day. There’s lots of lantana here and we had to negotiate some rather large clumps to find hides. We should’ve be better prepared as we have recently been back to find a number of other caches we didn’t uncover or have subsequently been placed. Nevertheless a great location for a couple of hours cache hunting.

I signed this cache just over 2 years ago and back then I hadn’t even qualified for the silver challenge, let alone gold!!
But persistence pays off! After a trip to NZ and picking up a few virtuals and our first web cam cache we have stumbled over the line!

So grateful that the sun has come out to play though there was still a nice breeze as the KellerClann duo and I meandered the trails here. The locals are a little nervous of my inclination to jump into bushes as the dangers are much higher here than in Ireland but it's a fine balance between care and determination we saw some interesting wildlife on our ramble including Roo, Wallabies and a Goana! This hide took us a few minutes as we got our bearings but once we followed the coordinates it was an easy find.
I love challenges so was delighted to find these, (especially as I'm not a big puzzle solver) but will wait until I've internet to check to see if I qualify - for now, thanks for the cache

We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
We have set up at the free camp in Nobby that is only metres from the train line! Today we headed into Toowoomba for some shopping and some caching but we really didn't know where to start. In the end we headed out to Mt Peel and once we worked out the correct access point we jumped on the bikes and tried to find a few before the rains set in.

Log signed ahead of qualifying while I was visiting Mt Peel for some other caches. Not too far off!
Headed out to Toowoomba for a day of caching with Peppa and this was our target area as we were looking for some challenge caches that we qualify for and hadn’t yet signed.
Didn’t take long to find this cache and add our stamps to the log books.
Checkers say I have 63,924 points so that means this is a smiley for me.
Nice idea for a challenge

July is all about challenges thanks to the latest Georode Monthly Challenge in Brisbane… and Mt Peel is rich in unsigned challenges…
So I assembled a group of willing Brisbanites, and a plan was hatched for today…. A couple withdrew leaving just nikid1 and I to enjoy the glorious weather and environment up here on the range…
Approaching this cache was the first time we saw other people out here… no sure what they made of the couple walking into the Lantana… a nice quick find at GZ…
Tftc… still got 34,719 points as at today…
Left Pink Green Dragonfly to continue on…

Out and about today on my gravel bike finding a couple of geocaches and doing a little bit of maintenance on some of my geocaches.
This cache is in good condition and ready to find.
This cache is in good condition and ready to find.
This cache was the reason why I chose to come here today, but it took awhile to find, as I had a bigger cache for a 'regular' stuck in my mind, such as an ammunition tin. Finally I made the effort and moved some things, and found the cache. Cache and log are good. I swapped Santa Nick TB for Zombie Clause TB. TFTC Brother Colin.

Yes, all three found and signed today!
I dropped a TB.
Following my note, 29.1.22, when I qualified, but just had no luck with signing the log, we are back in town.
Obviously the problem was my phone gave up on working properly due to overheating because today I had no problem at all locating the containers.

After an intensive cache finding adventure to Cunnamulla for QOGM, I now have enough points to qualify (after signing the log back in June). Thanks Brother Colin!
I signed this back on 10/04/2018. That's a while ago. I remember getting a notification last year that I now qualify for this challenge. But I kept forgetting to log it. Then I set a reminder on my phone calendar, and I must now have told it to remind me later about a hundred times. I'm gonna log it on this date because it was somewhere in September that I qualified and my incomplete drafts go back that far. Oops.
Thanks for the challenge with this, Brother Colin - nice to get the gold!

Today, with Adelaidean e.gregory1 travelling through Queensland, I decided to catch up with him in Toowoomba. We had both worked through the *Starship Enterprise* (SSE) puzzles, and so that consumed the majority of the day in finding. Following that power trail, we used our remaining daylight in walking around Mount Peel to collect a few of the interesting cache types and challenge caches. We then had a fast food dinner, and we used the remainder of the evening finding additional challenge caches in north-west Toowoomba around Cotswold Hills and Torrington. An enjoyable yet exhausting day!
Whilst visiting Mount Peel Bushland Park, we parked at Westminster Street trailhead, and walked/jogged around the vicinity with our remaining light that we had today. We headed north-west initially towards Westbrook Lookout, and then circled back to the central peak, South Summit Lookout. We then continued to walk a few further trails under torchlight, picking up a few challenge caches, before returning back to the vehicles in time for dinner. There were a few kangaroos and wallabies about, and I would love to return with my mountain bike to give these trails a spin.
This cache was found during our walk around in this area, and it didn't take too long to find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I didn't have any issues with qualifying for these *Scavenger Hunt Challenge* caches, but a great way to introduce newer Geocachers to these types. Thanks Brother Colin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found on a day out in the Toowoomba area with Davidwazza.
I am currently travelling from Adelaide up to Cairns to meet up with friends later in the month. I’ve got plenty of time to get there so have been taking the opportunity to do a bit of sightseeing and find a few caches along the way.
I was intending to do the SSE geoart series and Davidwazza was also keen so we met up early this morning at Oakey to tackle it. After a cold morning, the sun came out and it was a perfect day for caching.
After completing the SSE series we decided to go for a walk in the Mt Peel Bushland Reserve to find a few caches. The sun was setting as we arrived and most of the caches were found in the dark by torchlight without too much difficulty.
According to the checker at Project-GC, I qualify for this challenge.
Thanks Brother Colin for the challenge and the cache.

Got a phone call early in the week from Chamad to see if I could be the taxi driver. Chamad made a list for some caches he was chasing and some Tree Fishing ones to. Plus 2 events and 7 cache types
I found 27 caches today, the break down was 20 traditional, 2 multi, CITO, Wherigo, earthcache, mystery and community event.
After A big day on the Sunshine Coast I finally qualify for this cache. It was signed over year and half ago.

After A big day on the Sunshine Coast I finally qualify for this cache. It was signed over year and half ago.

Another cool to find on our trip to Mt Peel Bushland. I checked Project-GC and yes I qualify for this find. Thanks for the hide and the challenge. We have had these caches on our list to find after Dayboro for a while....
Enjoyed the walk today but struggled with the spiders. OMG so many. But deep breath I managed. Luckily some of these caches were easy to get to but came sooooo close to walking into webs at any given moment. Still great to have this challenge. TFTC Brother Colin

When this challenge was published we were ‘miles’ away from qualifying but knew if we just kept playing the game then one day we’d qualify. So we’ve been doing just that... finding caches and having lots of fun doing so. Out of curiosity, we ran the Checker the other day and, surprise, surprise, we now qualify.
This morning we were happy to find this well-hidden cache and signed the logbook.
Thanks for challenge and cache Brother Colin.

Monday. Finally! We qualify for this one. On a trip to Emerald we grabbed a few more caches which ticked off the last few points we needed to get this one. We have been slowly chipping away at this one, keeping an eye on it every so often. After collecting an earthcache along the way to Emerald, we were pushed over 30000! Yay, logging a find on this one.

Back in June 2019, signed the log and I was a long way off be eligible to log this cache. Thought there was more chance being eligible for MAFS, The Farmer Wants a Wife or one of Gumbies. With time comes grey hair, a spiraling downward brain cell count and more bedtime pit stops, some successful making le loo, some not. And with that time, the speedo ticked over and I became eligible to log this challenge.

One of the perils of walking face first into a freezing gale is how your eyes water uncontrollably. They just won’t stop and wiping the tears away becomes pointless.
Sure, I’ll admit to crying every time I watch the Shawshank Redemption or Last Cab to Darwin but this is beyond a joke. Maybe I shed a tear in Marley And Me, and also possibly in Pixar’s Up but this wind is torture. It’s like watching The Piano or The Notebook but I was only crying during those last two movies because I was forced to watch them.
I used the checker before we arrived to make sure we had qualified and so was happy to stamp the log. If now I can only stop crying thinking about how bad the movie Gigli is life would be sweet. tftc

I was having a message chat with the CO which reminded me to check to see if I had fulfilled this challenge. I had! I've worked really hard to fulfill this one and it turns out I have 111 more than needed. We have been to some pretty dire events in an effort to get more points - Mr L was getting weary of attending meetings held by tourists in blazing sunshine, with no food and drink. We can now be more discerning and only go to our geobuddies' meetings which have recently started up following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions!
Thank you for the challenge and a favourite for making me work so hard.

Yesterday, after a long day geocaching, we came to Mt Peel to have a look at the terrain and to pick up the numbers for the multi. Sitting in the car we weren't impressed with the way the trees were swaying, and the little drops of rain, but I was on a mission to find the multi, the 3 scavenger caches and the jasmer so had to set off. Although it was very windy the rain didn't really get into its stride until I went for the jasmer. At that point I ended up soaked to the skin from the wet, high grass!
The rain was really getting into its stride so we were walking very quickly by now. Luckily the cache was a very quick find. Only another 1,297 points to go before I can log a find.
