Logs
Went to change the log on this one but the council hasnt maintained the grounds for a while. It was a hot day and the thought of snakes possibly being in that long grass at ground zero deterred me. If anyone has a spare log and is braver than me in the next few finds, that would be grand! Otherwise Ill wait for cooler weather or the council to do a mow!
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 82 - Geraldton Day 2. After a very wet night the rain eventually stopped and I headed out to try for breakfast and a few caches. The Network seems to have suffered from the rain and reception is very poor. Both shops I tried to buy breakfast from had no eftpos. Oh well, that means caching. I carefully read each page before heading there and so managed to find the caches I targeted today. A few further rain showers made some of the short walks a bit of a risk, but I managed and even completed another set of Labs. The afternoon was time to catch up on online tasks and dinner will be in the van tonight.I circumvented the huge puddle between the road and the fence and had a loom at a clicking box. The cache was nicely ready to be found. Thanks for the cache zombiestompbexx48564.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & March 2024 The Great Frontier A#549**Albida**
Made our way up the turquoise coast to Gero from Perth on a caching trip for a few days. Rain has been heavy and relentless but we are still making progress. Cache found, signed log and replaced as found. TftcMM
Out for a road trip up north to try out our new camper and grabing a couple of caches on the way.
Out for a morning run while camping overnight in Geraldton. This was the only one that I managed to find this morning but I run a bit short of time so I had to head back before getting any more

On the hunting trail with SeasonedBird while in town for the wedding of the year. It’s a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

Found it. TFTC zombiestompbexx. Happy to make a quick find here, replaced as found.
There was only just enough time to collect a few caches this morning with ilook4geo before the ominous looking black clouds rolled over and the rain came pouring down. This was fortunately a quick find in the obvious place, signing duties were done and we moved on to the next one. Thanks for this cache placement go to zombiestompbexx.
Caching in a hurry this morning with goingplaces2 before the threatening downpour happened. Everything was done as quickly as possible. This was one of the caches we found and signed. TFTC.
G’day zombiestompbexx, unfortunately I wasn’t able to find your cache today (Sunday 10/4/2022). Cheers for the hunt anyway!
GeoJ drove us to this spot and while the rest of the team were reading up on the description he quietly got out and made the find.TFTC
TFTH Quick find with JRLT. With GeoJ in the drivers seat, it was straight to GZ and then he was out of the car and had the cache in hand while we were still looking it up!! SL and replaced as found.
Enjoying a very wet few days camping in Geraldton. It hasn't stopped raining and the campsite is flooded but hey it's memorable Naturally also taking the opportunity to pick up some local caches - one good thing about the rain, it keeps the muggles away! A break in the clouds while here, but the little park is flooded. Thankfully I can get to GZ ok, and even better the cache was a nice quick find once there It wasn't where I first thought mind, but options were limited All ok here, TFTC
pug002 DNF 19/10/20 if it is there we coukdnt find it thanks anyway zombiestompbexx
Had to avoid a couple of dog walkers but made the find easy enough, signed the log, TFTC
Find 10 of 29 with fourteen DNFs on a day-long 30km bike ride around Geraldton with not a cloud in the sky. Many more DNFs than we would usually register, this is a tricky town! Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
Mr O picked the right host and made the find.

Thank you! In Geraldton for the last day of a mini holiday. Stopped here to find the cache.
Hi there zombiestompbexx.
We found your cache **"Squashed"** at 11:55:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22644).
We are staying in Geraldton for a few days catching up with friends. When we had a free moment we started our caching run by nominating a cache some distance from our camp site and then took a route that was sometimes determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our interesting trek around the local area
We ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. (3 finds today & 5 DNF's). Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 7m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We stayed for four weeks in Shenton Street, so this Cache was next to the house. Thanks for the Cache.
Mr OOH YEH was staying overnight in North Hampton so he left crazy early (about 1.30am) so he could get some caching in before he arrived there. He done really well with only a few DNFS which was good for Geraldton caches lol.. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
Day nineteen of our 'loop tour' checking out the wildflowers and caching along the route. Not many places it could be but found 7 mats from where our GPs indicated. Thanks. Zombiestompbexx
A quick find in the obvious spot.

This is our third visit to Geraldton from our home in Victoria, and it is just as lovely as we remembered. The weather has picked up a bit, so we decided that today would be a good opportunity for a stroll around the foreshore and the nearby areas. We love the fact that over the past 8 years there has been heaps of development in these areas, and there is so much to see and do. It must get very busy in the warmer months, there is a lot to attract a wide range of ages and different phases of life. Well done Geraldton!
A not so difficult hide made more challenging by the coords being 8+metres out. We did wonder what the silver boxes were for

Came here yesterday but a truck was backing in to the lane behind the houses near GZ so we decided to return today on our bike ride and look for it then.
Didn't take very long to find this one, although the noisy dog next door certainly tried to send some muggle attention our way.
Thanks.

A quick find today while dodging the power men putting up a new pole just around the corner! TFTC
I decided to have a big day and find as many in and around Geraldton today before heading further north. I have attempted to get to this one a bit earlier in the morning, but lady nearby was watching me very curiously (not very inconspicuous in the rented campervan), so I found another couple of others and parked a bit further on return. TFTC!!
Waiting for Mickeydv to run his race so I headed out to explore and find a few caches. Thanks.
Arriving in Geraldton in the early evening, we checked into our hotel on the foreshore, and with just enough daylight we went and said goodbye to the sun at the HMAS Sydney memorial.
After leaving the memorial we grabbed some dinner and with fully bellies we headed out to grab a couple of caches. 2 finds from 2 attempts. Best day ever caching in Geraldton.
Looking forward to meeting some locals at my event tomorow. Thanks for the hides.

In town for a few days for work. I was returning from dinner and thought I’d try for a cache. Parked pretty close to this one and made an easy find in the dark.

After a busy day along the coast we headed into Geraldton to stop over before continuing in the coming days with TeamBastholm to the Murchison, sitting around having a chat and we get the notification, a new cache published in town, so into the car and off to continue the hunt, happy to say we got to GZ and the delight when we saw that empty log and claimed a joint {*FTF*} with TeamBastholm, thanks for the FTF TB, we will be activating him and sending him off on his many journeys in the near future TFTC
