Couldnt find the final one, were the numbers on the needles meant to be a sneaky one as well?Went to both locations anyway and couldnt find the final cache
And again I say.......I do love me a Mister Doctor cache! Crusty and I had our information and coords worked out the night before and arrived this morning with high hopes and determination. Oh but this was a tricky, tricksy, trickety one that had us grinning from ear to ear by the time we had the final coords in hand. You always give us a wonderful experience Mister Doctor. Thanks for the cache and a favourite coming to you.
Along with Redcb, we had done our homework, and closed in on the Partickle Detector today. After accurately reading the internal meters, we tried to get the "go ahead" from the checker, without success. Scratching our heads, we reviewed our performance and came up with another method of attack. With the coords for GZ in hand, we travelled to that area and commenced our search. Once again, the GPSr had us covering a fair area that we needed to search, but we eventually found the well-camoed container.I'm always greatly impressed with the planning, and workmanship, for your caches, Mister Doctor. Thanks for giving us all so much pleasure. I wish I could give more than just one favourite point for this one.
Enroute to a T5 event today, I couldn't resist searching out a few quality caches, and of course Mister Doctor's offerings are right up there. Having obtained the coordinates for the necessary equipment, the journey continued. It took a little longer than anticipated to make the find, but it was well worth it. A short wait for a muggle to stroll past GZ before retrieving the well camouflaged cache. TFTC Mister Doctor
How clever can one man be...........Do you notice Mister Doctor that dalerious and I find your caches in fits and starts. Why is this so, you may ask. Why do this pair of avid admirers of my work visit my caches every so often; only doing a handful, then go fleetingly away not to return for another few months. What possess these two for treating me this way?Well, it is elementary dear Mister Doctor, you see it is as simple as this. You take away all our favourite points in one foul swoop. And yes, then we must lower ourselves to undertake a dreary power trail to bolster the tally of favourite points, just so we can dish them out, willy nilly to you Sir!I do not belong in the digital world. I have an affinity with times long passed. Does reincarnation exist? If it does I have lived in the best age. Many times over. I do not want to come back again! This puzzle was interesting. The cache container was brilliant in it's simplicity and it's complexity. I saw it, you know, IT. But it was my partner who took the great leap and came up trumps.Thank you Mister Doctor for providing so much fun.Disclaimer: No offence was meant in stating that power trails are dull and boring, and no willy or nilly was harmed during the making of this log.
Found with catnap777 @10:16am. We weren't "Punked". After pouring over the cache page and doing our online bit last night, we came out well armed with a good set of coords and good info gleaned from previous finders logs. The Partickle Detector was soon found exactly where it was supposed to be and did exactly what it was supposed to do. [^] In fact, I must say that this was the most well constructed Partickle Detector either of us have ever utilised and after some very close examination of its fine construction and highly calibrated components, we were able to shoo off any herrings and soon had the right coords to proceed looking us squarely in the face. We marched off with confidence. At GZ though cat' and I were starting to have doubts, not for our coords as we knew they were right, but for the muggleproofness of the cache itself. A slightly wider search came up with the goods and after a bit of a struggle to open the thing (it was jammed) our names now adorn the log within and the lid now moves freely. TFTC MisterDoctor. Obvious fav added.
Thanks to a very gracious PAF from the CO the final was ours this time round. Very nicely done!
Oh boy... made a meal of this one! Our first experience of steam punk was on a day trip to Eastbourne in the UK, when we happened upon a festival. Cool! Mr E solved the initial puzzle without too much problem and we enjoyed the view from the carpark. We don't have this back home. At the partickle detector, we feared it had been muggled as Mr E found the stash card loose in the shrubbery. But delving a little deeper we were pleased to find it still in place and operational. Fell for the obvious...then spent absolutely ages trying to work out what else the dials might be telling us. Oh! Hee hee...the read out now produced something more appropriate. Amazed by the noisy cockatoo colony flying over our heads. Something else we don't have... although rooks behave somewhat similarly. Off we go to GZ... Here, unfortunately, the adventure ends. We're not sure whether minty means something different in Australian slang, but nevertheless, all we could find within a reasonable distance of GZ were coffee cups and dog poo bags. Leaving town tomorrow morning but could swing by again quickly if the CO is able to offer a further hint..?
Health check Checked all stages.Emptied water out of final, removed slugs, dried off. Repaired seal.
Found the coordinates to the partickle detector awhile ago and today I opted to go look for it. I quickly found the detector, played around with the dials and was able to find some good looking coordinates. I made my way to GZ thinking to myself that it felt too easy and after a little searching I had the cache in hand, or so I thought. Turns out my instincts were correct. I quickly realised my mistake and went back to the partickle detector and got new numbers. I made my way to GZ and after awhile something caught my attention and I found the cache. I enjoyed this cache and would give a favourite point if I could
This was such an enjoyable and well crafted multi with cool caches. And yes, I got punked Mr Doctor! After collecting the final I kept going to Laburnum, Box Hill, Blackburn and Forest Hill areas on an all day caching spree. In total just over 30,000 steps. I really enjoyed all the caches I collected around the area, with no DNFs, but some frustrating moments waiting out muggles at Forest Hill.
I would say I've been a fan of steam punk since the beginning of Final Fantasy on the Play Station, so this puzzle multi perked my interest, and I had way point 1 googled in no time. Today, with the plan on collecting a few more power trail attributes, I came out in search. At way point one, the mechanism was located, and some basic maths were done with some ok looking Co, which then led to nothing. I went back to the warmth of the geo car to stare at the picture i had taken to try to work out where I went wrong. I was soon back at way point 1 for some further investigation and the Doh a ha moment.
Confused about the checker, with it still not giving me the green tick I hesitated briefly before continuing on. Looks like my power trail was going to have to wait. Way point 2 might have been mistaken as a power trail..so many muggles. I eventually caught a brake and surprisingly hones right in on the cache.

I did the research on this one some time ago so I the location worked out. I was driving home from Kew to heading West to East so I must confess the backtrack was rather annoying. Over all great work on this one, giving it a FAV
Good adventure to this cache. I loved the adventure through the night a few weeks ago. I was back in the area to watch a robotics competition so passed by to get the final. Thanks!!
We found this cache a while ago now and returned again to realise that we had previously done it but it slipped our logs really enjoyed this one TFTC!!
Now that the school holidays are over and Term 2 has begun, that means our usual Saturday morning pilgrimage to VSL in Box Hill. I then have 3 hours of caching to myself.
Well that was an interesting adventure. I had gathered all the information I needed googling in the comfort of my car. I stupidly didn't read the hint at the waypoint so thought I had the information wrong and being terrible at anything involving numbers it made me self doubt my abilities. I reached out to a PAF but as I was waiting for their reply, I looked at the hint on the cache page, DOH! A quirky fun find was made. It didn't fool me surprisingly. Luck I think rather than skill.
The final was found easily. The logbook is damp but ok to sign.
Thank you for the cache here Mister Doctor I give it a fav point as I do love Steampunk101 in case no one noticed it's on my pathtag design.

Enjoyed the research - learnt new things First stage located successfully and info extracted for final cache. Loved the hide, creative as always. TFTC
So darned cool! MrDr you are an ingenious puzzle designer, thanks heaps for the adventure (even tho I needed to try a number of times!!)
It's caches like Steampunk 101 that remind me why I got into the game in the first place.
And maybe a good reminder that, in the face of too many unimaginative hides - tiny containers under one random bush out of identical dozens, micros in isolated bush/rural settings, and all the rest - sometimes I need to deliberately seek out caches that have a decent number of likes, to be reasonably sure it will actually be memorable, and rekindle my enthusiasm.
This one was memorable. For all the right reasons.
I love the steampunk notion and aesthetic, so when I saw the title of this one while looking for a cache with 50+ likes, my decision of what cache to go for next was made. And so it was that, having done my research and gotten co-ords for the Partickle Detector, I decided the middle of a stinking hot (39 degree) day would be perfect for doing the running (okay, walking) around that previous logs led me to believe might be necessary, without too many muggles about.
(As the Kipling quote might have gone, had he been alive today: "Only mad dogs and Englishmen... oh, and geocachers... go out in the midday sun.")
I won't dwell too much on the events that followed, but suffice it to say that Partickle Detecting was done, a plot-twist was revealed (and enjoyably so, well played, haha!), a degree of polite cursing was employed, a true final location was finally divined, and a gyrocopter-hop later (oh, and some more searching) the suitably-encrusted/decorated log book was retrieved and signed. (And some trackables visited.)
Thanks for a brilliantly conceived, constructed and executed cache, Mister Doctor. If I could give more than one favourite point I would do so gladly.

My goal for 2023 has been to try and get close to qualifying for [The Non-Traditional Calendar Challenge (GC7RQ3)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7RCQ3). However, as someone who is almost the exact opposite of a puzzle cacher, I have been having to resort to mostly finding multi-caches to fill in my calendar grid.
So I was looking for possible nearby multi caches and thanks to the [Love is in the air](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2023/02/love-is-in-the-air/?fbclid=IwAR1mAOfVXTyxj_BuQm_SOjgVNQh0U_EddD6uRVbLEGexuALRGs4fAebBX_Q) promotion from Geocaching HQ, I now could see the favourite points of the top 10% of the most favorited caches in my search. So this highlighted this cache and when I saw that it was a [Mister Doctor](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7d33975e-dd45-4386-8e04-c1988ca4e720&wid=1f7416d2-761b-466e-a260-e1f4e3bf6a89&ds=2) cache I knew I was going to be in for a good time.
And after I made the find, I of course had a great time. The attention to details and the effort that [Mister Doctor](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7d33975e-dd45-4386-8e04-c1988ca4e720&wid=1f7416d2-761b-466e-a260-e1f4e3bf6a89&ds=2) puts into his caches are always above and beyond.
A fun little puzzle that wasn't to hard to solve got my creative juices flowing, and made me really want to start reading *A Journey to the Centre of the Earth* (my favourite book!) again.
*mmhmm... I may actually start reading that one again tonight....*
So armed with the coordinates to Partickle Detector I donned my 19th century cinder goggles and headed over. It was a fairly quick search as I had my trusty Geiger counter with me.
*A useful TOTT for all caching outings...never leave home without one!*
So then came the process of actually figuring out how to work the Partickle Detector and after I made the gauges steam and the whozawhatzits whirl I was able to obtain the required. Information.
I felt so smart deciphering the gauges and once I arrived at what I thought was GZ I felt unstoppable!
*Maybe I am becoming a puzzle cacher!*
Well the short answer was **NO!** No I am not a puzzle cacher lol. I was completely wrong and my calculated coordinates led me on a wild goose chase. Back to the Partickle Detector to try and figure out where I went wrong.
Well second time was the charm, and my second try led me to the correct spot. It was then a bit of searching and the well hidden cache was found.
A big thanks to [Mister Doctor](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7d33975e-dd45-4386-8e04-c1988ca4e720&wid=1f7416d2-761b-466e-a260-e1f4e3bf6a89&ds=2) I had an absolute blast solving this one and although I don't know if I should be encouraging this behaviour lol, this one earns an extremely well deserved favourite point from me!
I left my favourite point pathtag in the final cache container for the [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7d33975e-dd45-4386-8e04-c1988ca4e720&wid=1f7416d2-761b-466e-a260-e1f4e3bf6a89&ds=2) or the next finder.
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The Partickle Detector was beautifully constructed, and all the thingermabobs and whozamawhatitz worked perfectly. All things minty were in good shape. The cache container was in great shape, the logbook does appears that it may have taken a little bit of water damage at one point, but everything was nice and dry today. The logbook also had plenty of space in it for future cache finders to sign.

While waiting for the sun to go down, we had some time to kill and thought we should finish this one off. Besides, we had already done the work. Right?
After taking a lot longer than we should have, we found the nifty container with it clever contents. We made our observations and were heading towards our calculated GZ when we realised, 'that can't be right'. Having not taken a photo, it was back to the box.
This time it looked much better. But again we were mistaken. Finally we got it right and found ourselves on our way to the final destination where, in fading light, we were able to find our target.
Thanks again Mister Doctor for another great cache which gave us the run-around. A favourite point for the creativity and the work that you put into this one.
Chiefton!!!

A lovely day for caching today so decided to hunt up some close to home and already solved puzzles and this one was next. Parked on the wrong side of the railway but it didn't matter as there was a nice bridge over the tracks. Found the partickle detector and after a bit of stuffing around had a sensible GZ where the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks to Mister Doctor for this one, definitely gets a fave for the quality of the construction and thinking behind this one.

Well didn't this multi have it all going on. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey with all its puzzles, lovely crafted containers, coloured herrings and steampunkness.
Found with PapaGrouch. I did the initial work for this last night and today after attending the event nearby we decided to make the find. Found the first waypoint fairly quickly, just had to avoid the massive spider web as I retieved the box. Took a couple of tries to get the correct GZ but once there it didn't take long to find the cache. A very ingenious puzzle and great cache decoration. TFTC
Found it! Yeah! Only two visits for me! Better than 3 or was it 4 on a similar cache I found a few years ago. I really like steampunk and I've even visited Oamaru, the steampunk capital in New Zealand. My Dad used to make kaleidoscopes, many in the steampunk style. One of his best kaleidoscopes was Jules Verne's Moon Gun. I found the cache with my Sister and Nephew. Growing up in Blackburn, I thought I knew all the secret places. Nice to learn of a new one! Thanks for the cache, it was fabulous. Sorry for the late log, I came down with COVID just after finding the cache. TFTC SL : ) I've attached a pic of my Dad with his Kaleidoscope, hope that is ok.
We were in Melbourne for Mrs Dromaniax to attend a lecture and Mr Dromaniax to return some items to the big blue store. With the return completed, and a lunch of Swedish meatballs as fuel, Mr Dromaniax headed out to find a few caches with the Power Trail attribute.
This one was the first one attempted. The calculations for the first stage had been completed at home, and a green tick was obtained. We then found the clever machine, which gave us a good set of coordinates.
Off to those coordinates, and the cache was soon in hand. Multicaches are not usually our favourite type of cache, but this one was an exception; it is a ripper, so it gets a favourite point.
We have really enjoyed a Steampunk series of books by a local Melbourne author, Michael Pryor, The Laws of Magic series, which is well worth seeking out.
Thank you Mister Doctor for this wonderful Multicache.

Gathered the numbers and solved the field puzzle my second attempt! Made it to GZ for an easy find. We live an hour or so south of the steampunk capital of New Zealand, Oamaru. Favourite point from me.
Travelled back to my home state of Victoria from New Zealand to attend the Whittlesea MEGA (and maybe visit family!)
Thanks for the cache, Mister Doctor

As a fan of steampunk culture, I just had to do this cache! The first coords were easy, found the detector, the put in the coords. I searched near and far, under the gaze of some nosey onlookers. I knew it couldn't be on the field, so I went back. Huzzah! I drive down, nearly hitting and off leash dog in the process (dog was fine thankfully), to where I knew it would be. Someone had left a doggy bag near the GZ; I hope it wasn't that same dog owner. A little wet after recent rain and the log was signed.
TFTC Doc. Another great hide!

Find #12729
Needing a multi today for a personal challenge was not ideal considering the inclement weather. I lucked upon a very small window and managed to make the find. This was my 3rd attempt at this one and was fantastic to turn this frown upside down.
Massive thanks go to Mister Doctor for placing this one.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2022?*

Well that was fun! Geokids enjoyed it very much too and we had a little lesson on Steampunk. A favourite point from us and we can see why this was the runner up for best multi cache of the year ️
Here’s a few jokes for you…
I recently got ran over by a steam roller.
People said I should be offended, but I was flattered.
Why wouldn’t the steam engine run?
It was having selfish steam issues.
I tried to catch steam, but I mist it.

Cache overhaul: cleared out ants, fresh paint, surface spray, new double bags and desiccant for logbook
Come with me I'll show you how to be a metal man
When the gears are turning and the fires are burning
When the world ticks around you,
Voices tocking all the time
And you live for sleep you've never slept
Because you cannot sleep
Colonel Walter was shocked
When he learned from the Nile
Copper African elephants turning hostile
So he built these wonderful automaton bloaks
And a very big steam powered giraffe what smokes
Now the war is passed and over
We're left to sit and wonder
What is life and what is real?
And why do living things need feeling?
(Are you ready?, here we go. One, two, three)
Wind me up, turn the gears (brass goggles!)
Wind me up, turn the gears (brass goggles!)
Wind me up, turn the gears (brass goggles, goggles, goggles!)
Wind me up, turn the gears (brass googles!)
Great cache! Good to see you today too MrDr. FP+

What a fantastic cache!!! After quickly locating the first waypoint, the “cache coordinates” were calculated, or so we thought. We really enjoyed the surprises of this cache Thank you for a wonderful walk and brilliant hide!!
I met my friend for a trip into city today. While she was waiting for me to arrive, she got a head start on today's caching. She chose steampunk cause it seemed fitting with the steam train running today and showed me photos and explained the steampunk multi stages on the train in. It looked beautifully made, well done Mister Doctor! Unfortunately she couldn't find the final. So later that day, on the way back we spontaneously decided to hop off at Blackburn station to have another go with an extra pair of eyes. And found it. And hopped back on the next train home. So theoretically I just came along for the final find...
Thanks for the awesome effort.
Thanks for the awesome effort.
I had heard the steam train was running today, and while I was on the phone to Broesi discussing our meeting time and calculating whether I had enough time for this multi, I heard the telltale whistle! After watching it steam past I got started on my research for the first stage. Definitely some movies to add to my watch list! Found the first stage, saw the steam train go past again, made my calculations, found the next stage and then... what!? Had me laughing out loud! When I had the final calculations in hand I neglected to check the hint, and with a few muggles passing by, and another pass of the steam train to distract me I just couldn't find it and had to admit defeat. For now. We made our trip into the city and had another DNF on a multi in the city! It was Broesi that suggested hopping off the train for another look on the way home, and after using the hint the final cache was revealed! Broesi very generously replaced all the little treasures that were dirty and waterlogged, in a new bag, and we were on our way again. Thanks so much for the effort you put into this, very worthy of a fav point from me.
What a great cache. Stage 1 was very straight forward and we soon had the cache in hand…..a marvellous piece of steampunk engineering. Got the coordinates (or so we thought) for the next stage and headed off on a fairly short walk, thinking “mmmm somethings not right.” So back we went to stage 1 and had another look at our coordinates…….well we fell for that one didn’t we?? With a better set of numbers we headed off to a more likely final GZ. A lovely walk around an area we don’t come to that often and we soon had the log signed. Thanks for the effort you have put into this cache and hide. Very deserving of a favourite point.

Wow this one was excellent. Enjoyed the stages on this one and the theme used. Today was a chilly one but that didn't stop thr muggles venturing out of thier caves. Quite a large number were enjoying the windy conditions. Favorite [^]

Well this one was an experience! We started out our walk for the day and actually walked right past GZ for this cache (little did we know!). Finding.Sarah actually said she was surprised the area didn't have a cache!
I won't give much away, but had a good laugh once we first calculated the co-ordinates and 'found' the container. TFTC!!

Really great fun. Playgrounds are closed, but we had a ball doing this. Thanks heaps.
Steampunk 101 was brilliant!
Earlier this week Veevers junior had 7 teeth removed and has been at home all week. Going a bit stir crazy, and with dad at school camp, we headed out to find some of these Mister Doctor caches.
After a nearby find and a DNF, we approached the particle detector, a WP we had calculated months ago. The particle detector wasn't hard to find, but to get to the final GZ took us on quite an adventure!
FP pending (when we have one)
The container at the final GZ was really cool too!

Cleaned up cache and replaced bag.

**The Adventure:** My F-I-L has only recently moved to Blackburn so I have been eagerly researching some caches in the area. Seeing the FP-to-Find ratio on this one had me grabbing the laptop to complete the online research part of this multi. I must admit to not knowing much about Steampunk, so thanks Mister Doctor for the introduction. Next visit to Dad had us stopping by here first; a quick find of the Partickle Detector had us on our way to GZ. Wait, what?? Nicely done. We then chose to fuel ourselves with a delicious brunch at a close by café before completing the multi.
**The Cache** Loved this multi and the cache hide. Certainly put a smile on our faces for the construction and the ingenuity of it all. Thanks Mister Doctor for the unique experience. I’d like to add to that FP-to-Find ratio, so here, have a fave point on us. 5 Stars. Cache on.
**Cache Condition:** A tear in the plastic bag has allowed moisture to seep into the logbook. May need some attention as the adornments on the logbook are rusting/coming off.
**Took:** nothing **Left:** nothing; no room to drop TB unfortunately
**TBs:** visited

I found this cache today on my Blackburn Cache Browse. I knew that I was going to be in the area today so I glanced over local caches and spotted this one and did the research last night. Another wonderful cache. Thanks from D B-A.
Wow what a cache! We first come across this cache a while back when in the area. We completed the first stage with a bit of research and then forgot about it.
In Box Hill today for a sporting event, and afterwards walking and pickup up nearby caches. We quickly did the research again as we couldn’t find the waypoint but then geohubby had it saved else where.
Enjoyed each of the stages, a seriously worthy of a favourite point! Really enjoyed this well thought out cache adventure. We loved all of the small touches, and all of the theme through out, thanks for putting in all of the effort!
Found the final gz as the last cache of the day, and in the dark!

The search for this final was aborted by us about a year ago. A spider bite and a nosy neighbour sent us packing.
We happened to walk by the posted coordinates on other business a few months back and noticed WP1 had changed somewhat.
With solved coordinates still in hand we headed back today to try our luck and what do you know? It was still there.
A fun, detailed crafty multi. Another fav added to the pile.
New years resolution.... Learn how to suck it up and cache in the rain. Ha. So far so good.

As of Monday 9 November, the publication of new caches is set to recommence in metropolitan Melbourne. For details see: [https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria](https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria)
I’m following that lead and finally re-enabling my caches too!
I have checked in on each of them to see that containers and logbooks are present, and that all are ready and eager to have visitors again.

I am taking my lead from the planned recommencement of cache publications in metropolitan Melbourne on 9 November, and so will also be waiting until that date to re-enable my caches.
Sadly, metropolitan Melbourne is now back under Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions. As a result, I am disabling this cache during this heightened period of risk.

This is very innovative. I love steampunk. I found this cache while out in the rain on a bleak and wet Sunday.
I had previously tried (and failed) to find the partickle detector, I was determined to find it and the cache when I came past today. After a brief search, I found the detector, and, after while (and a few choice words), I found the coordinates for GZ and then the well-hidden cache. Logbook is wet, however it is still signable. Other than that, all in good condition. Fave point from me. TFTC
After sticking our arm's deep into many strange holes we finally found it thanks for the awesome Cache
This one had me diving around in scrub, sticking my hand down mysterious holes and practicing my French *very* regularly. At the end of it there was laughs and a love for this cache for its ingenuity. TFTC!
We are now entering a phased exiting of COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria. As of Wednesday 13 May, cache publication is recommencing, and so I am also re-enabling my caches once more.
Enjoy geocaching, but please remember to stay safe!

The best way to flatten the curve of COVID-19 is to stay at home. From what we know about the virus, it is able to survive on plastic for 3 days and steel for 2-3 days. Given that publication of new geocaches is now halted in Victoria, it seems sensible to also take a step back from those out in the field.
As a result, I am disabling this cache during this heightened period of risk.

I managed to go through the whole experience, somewhat marred by the fact that the Partickle Detector was out in the open, with the lid off and quite waterlogged.
Despite this, I was able to solve (?) the next part of the puzzle and I tucked the PD in a spot where at least it’s not obvious unless you’re looking.
A nice quiet GZ and a favourite point for the find.
Thanks

Looks like the Partickle Detector was involved in some major landscaping work and left exposed to the dirty rain we had recently!
Thanks to RebornCyclist for rescuing it.
Taking it in for a thorough clean and recalibration.

We had solved the location of the device a few few days ago and today we headed to the calculated location. A quick search located the item and we calculated the location of the next stage. A nice twist brought us to the container and we were able to solve the log. We needed to be a little careful of muggles as there was activity in the park and on the paths on the first day of 2020. A nice challenge - thanks to Mister Doctor.
So this one was another epic.
It took me 2 days because I had a really impatient little cacher with me and I probably know better than to do multi's.
In the end we had so much fun and she was really eager to get back to have a crack at this one. We didn't expect the last bit to be such a quest but it was and we enjoyed it.
Thanks for all the stuff you do. You're a legend Mister Doctor.

A fun little adventure. Cache was absolutely full of ants though, which put a bit of a damper on the ending!

Love this little multi and the info on ‘steampunk’ Sorry it’s a tad late logging.
Wow what an adventure. We went hither and thither. Loved the theme of this cache and extraordinary care and craftsmanship. This is what makes you love geocaching! Thank you!
An enjoyable cache. Thanks Mister Doctor - keep up the good work. I had never heard of Steampunk before this cache. I don't think I will taking it up as a major interest.
This cache had everything: a quiz, ingenuity, confusion and lots of amusement. Tftc and a fav point from me.
Well, what can I say. Definitely up to Mister Doctor standard. This had me here, there and everywhere. Took a bit of searching at go but wasn’t going to let this beat me. Thanks once again for a fantastic cache. Fav point for this. 966

I headed out today on a short cache run to pick up a few caches with a number of favourite points with jascat.
I had been wanting to have a look at this one for a while, not that I really knew much about steampunk but the fact that it is a Mister Doctor cache makes it a cache that needs to be found.
I did have a problem with one number and when Jascat went through the questions, at the end the same number was reached, after a quick message we soon had the situation under control.
Off we went and the detector was soon located, well I must say that the CO certainly got us at the next stage which sent us back on the return run.
With everything all sorted out now, we were off to GZ were an interesting cache container was found.
**Thanks to Mister Doctor for placing this cache.**

Thanks for the feedback SteMicMitSar. I've added to the cache page and the checker page to clarify that the checker is for the Partickle Detector coordinates.

Headed out with SteMicMitSar to pick up some caches with high favourite points and this was one of them. A fun multi to do. The word steampunk was something that was rather foreign to me until today. I may just have to research further. I loved the cache container at GZ.

Although I was never into Steampunk as a teen I was into the closely related sci-fi Cypherpunk equivalent, long live Bruce Sterling, William Gibson and of course the related RPG, Shadowrun!
I've watched the films mentioned and read the book so was well familiar with the works mentioned. After compiling the info, I arrived to....nothing. After re-reading the cache page I realised the formula had been rejigged and made my way over to the new WP upon which I spied the Partikle Detector.
Some obvious reading of the information left me scratching my head after checking with the checker. After reading a particular log I cued into what may be needed and a moment later had the required information. Needless to say the cache was soon in hand.
I'd give this cache two FPs if I could, one for the subject material and one for the effort gone into the physical creation. Actually I'd add a couple more FPs for the expense and the ongoing maintenance if I could. As it is, I can only award one so, have another FP to add to the growing pile Mister Doctor. This cache deserves them all!

Visited again with ZimbaW and the geohound, and found the detector had a new home so I still had some caching to do, not just biting my tongue while watching someone else enjoy this fun (and now less frustrating, haha) multi!
F(H)ound it! #3033 @6:00 PM
I am down from Queanbeyan, visiting the out-laws for a week or so. The whole family was gathering at an event at Blackburn Park, lots of food and company. After this, I needed a walk and a bit of peace before dinner. The Sister-Outlaw recommended this cache and it was close by.
I am so glad she did. What a beautifully constructed and fun multi this is. The walk was just the right distance for me and the Ridgeo-pup through some very nice scenery.
We ended up taking a detour on the way home to find just one more cache,
Thanks for the cache Mister Doctor

Dropped by to see if all is in order - Partickle Detector is just where it should be
Found by Mary and David at 1655. A long way from maccamob HQ, but we decided to do a few nominated caches around here this afternoon. Enjoyed the research last night, and today we arrived at the WP to find a beautifully themed Particle Detector. Found some coordinates, and set off for the cache. Well that wasn't too hard. Problem was, we couldn't find anything. M looked at some past logs and said we must have missed something. Back we went and re-examined the Particle Detector and found what we missed the first time. Very clever! Then we headed off to the true cache location, where M found it after a short search. Even the log book was true to theme! We had lots of fum with this one, so definitely a FP. Our thanks to Mister Doctor.
Oh Mister Mister Doctor! What a tangled web you weave - every element of this is perfect - the clues, the red herrings. I had to visit the Partickle Detector THREE TIMES. Needless to say I visited an incorrect location - again perfect Mister Doctor - I saw what you did there. Then returned to the Partickle Detector to find no new information. I decided to gather a different cache I had been targetting today and half way there I had a brain wave - Yes! I did something else, walked merrily past the Partickle Detector without a glance and then realised something was very very wrong. One PAF later and I had a small hint so I returned to the Partickle Detector yet again. Finally I saw what I had missed and I had the ACTUAL GZ coordinates. FINALLY.
Now, three days later I return for GZ. THe GPSr was giving me some grief due to the tree cover, so I was stumbling around and around and around. I was about to give up and ask some one more competent than me to get it (geopartner, not geotoddler, who is no longer tired because she isn't walking, but does want to go home), when I spotted it. FINALLY. Brilliant Mister Doctor - every element. TFTC

After a puzzle fraught journey I reached the final destination today with great joy. Whole cache took me about three days of solving the puzzle, finding the first Waypoint, then finding the final. Fortunately we were in Melbourne two days in a row for different purposes and I was able to get to the final after our day of meeting in Preston. All stages of this cache were great fun and worth of nomination for the Victorian Cache of the year. I’ve given it a favourite point. I took the TB to take it further on its journey.
Out this morning on what was going to be a shortish walk but turned into a grand adventure. Found the first way point and no muggles to interrupt, then the trickery and the adventure started. Finally tracked down the final waypoint and the cache in a very quiet place. Everything high and dry or low and dry as the clue suggests. Thanks for the grand adventure, a favourite for us.
Congratulations!
