no maintenance or comment from owner regarding replacing cache for over 3 months so I'm archiving to allow new cache placement.

First try at geocaching and no luck. We will try another one. Fingers crossed this time. All we found was this magnet.
Unfortunate
I do not a micro hidden in a very public area is an appropriate size cache. Tends to destroy the surrounding area by the searching cachers - thus they are removed by the caretakers.
As you are a newbie with very little experience, please do not take these comments the wrong way.
Over the last several years there have been many caches in these gardens and none have survived, all have been micros.
It is great that you are hiding caches, but please do so in non sensitive areas, there's plenty around here. I can always do with some more to find.
Good luck with your geocaching and I hope that you receive all the rewards that come with the game
Happy Hunting

Thanks 2018 ..... Out and about to collect the souvenir for the last day of 2018. I always love visiting the Chinese Gardens when I holiday in Hervey Bay. Thanks for placing a cache in such a beautiful little spot. TFTC. A favourite for me.
Having collected goblindust from the airport this was the perfect first cache to do thanks
Appears to have gone missing again, can see where it was and some remains still there, anyway tftc
Found something magnetic... But no cache... Could be looking on the wrong spot but could be it needs maintenance?
We enjoyed a walk in these beautiful gardens before heading to GZ. Took a bit of looking before we spotted it. Well done! Not so hard afterall.
Thanks for the cache and adding more fun to our morning HBkids.

We started the day by taking a stroll in this bothanical garden with the beautiful Chinese part. After just a short while the cache was found.
Thank you HBkids for showing us this place!
*For three wonderful weeks my family and I from Sweden: Tedronai, Lilla L & Lilla S and my parents Zebylonelectry travelled the east coast of Australia in a mobile home. From Port Douglas in Queensland to Sydney in New South Wales the road went with an amazing number of beautiful spots and sightseeings in between. The weather was mostly sunny with occasional tropical rain and thunder between 25-42 deg. The ocean warm and welcoming despite crocs and jellyfish. No less than three snakes were spotted in the wild. This was my first time in Australia and can´t wait to get back! Thank you to all cache owners that showed us around!*

Found with goldielover today. Nice walk before heading back to Brisbane. Love this place. Thanks for bringing us here.

Finally to some caches that we could not find. Cause too many people or too difficult maybe. We have been able to find this cache. After a short search, it was in a nice place. Then a walk through the beautiful park. Yes our first find in Harvey Bay. And our 1309 total. TFTC
29/9/18 Out for a day of caching and this was number 1 for the day. I love how IPS this is. A FP awarded for the cheakiness of this cache. TFTC
Beautiful walk through the gardens ... take the time after you find and log this cache to enjoy the park
And the question is "inside or outside" tested both theories before locating the elusive one.
Gardens are in magnificent condition, well worth a visit.

It took a while to find this one, but finally we signed the logbook. Thank you and greetings from Germany!
(I‘m sorry. The log is ‚a bit‘ delayed.)

Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful garden. Cache found safe & sound. Log signed, now for the photos of the garden!
In QLD to visit Stell, for 30 year anniversary and other historic reasons. So sent a day touring the Maryborough and Harvey Bay region. Missed going troppo Cuboree by two weeks. Your reference/waypoint is in the middle of houses, may need to remove or adjust this. JABs.
Hi there HBkids.
Returned to the cache today, and were glad to see it had been replaced exactly where we were looking last time. (Unfortunately our pen failed us.). Our total today was 1 caches & we DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels as we continue our nomadic wanderings around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Had visited this cache previous and found remains of original cache. Decided I should replace container as it has had a few DNF's. Hopefully CO is okay with this. SLTFTC

Hi there HBkids,
RE: Your cache **"Chinese Gardens"**
We are really sorry to report that the cache is missing. It really needs some owner TLC.
Normally we would have replaced/maintained the cache but recent activities have left us with nothing to replace it with.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Hi there HBkids.
This is the 2nd of 4 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

We had a good search around but no luck at all here today.
We spotted what may have been a potential hide, but we found nothing.
Thanks

Thought we would try our luck after seeing DNFs from others. Only found where we thought it would go but no cache container.
Found what we believe is the cache retainer, so to speak, but no cache. Nice spot all the same.
Too good for us today. We had the area to ourselves for at least 30 minutes but couldn’t find the cache. We left when quite a number of families arrived to enjoy the beautiful area.
Parked close and walk in and headed to GZ following the arrow on my GPSr. I thought there were couple of hints in the Geocache Description and I was right. As I searched around on the way towards GZ I could see the in full view container. All good here. I had found the previous cache that was in here before it was archived. TFTC HBkids.
Eventually! Looked all about then found it by accident when we were just about to trow the towel in. Tftc
What a pretty area this is. Another one of those “ I would never have seen this if not for geocaching “ clever hide with no muggle activity at all. Tftc
This was a little tricky. I thought I was onto something, but it wasn't the cache. My geocaching partner, jollyroger&son soon spotted the prize. SL
Ftf???....well got it and opened to find cache had no log...put a log in...good hide...tftc...
