Our first time in Bothamley Park. Planned to do a loop walk but spent so long admiring the painted stones that we only got as far as this cache and had to turn back before it got dark. Nice easy find tftc
According to the map, I thought this cache was up a closed track, so was pleasantly surprised to discover that it wasn't. I uplifted a trackable which I will take back with me to Manawatu. I will find the other caches next month when I will be down again. Thanks trancer96 for bringing me to this walkway.
Meandering my way along this track today with Lulu the dog. Found this cache much more quickly than the previous one. A simple but effective camo. Gets a favourite point from me.
TFTC and for bringing me to this lovely area.

Quick find. Some charming language in the log from non-geocachers we suspect. TFTC
Stopped by to check this out. Wasn't hidden correctly. I'm not sure why anyone would think it's supposed to just be sitting there in full view - it's got a a cover, please replace it. All good inside.
When I saw it - I KNEW it was the cache. How could it not be, right? I fidgeted with it for what felt like hours to no avail before giving up and looking elsewhere. After not being able to find anything else even slightly resembling a cache, I had to (admittedly, embarrassingly) called my geo-brother (who had already found the cache) to ask for a clue!!! I don't think I've ever been this stumped on a cache before. My geo-brother quickly confirmed that what I originally thought was the cache, was indeed the cache, and I just needed to fidget with it a bit more. I feel like I practically cheated to get this little smiley face.. but it's still a smiley face.. so I'm happy. TFTC
We must have done these caches the wrong way round or the last cache would have been called "Bridge" and this one would be called "Another Bridge"..... Oh hang on now I'm getting confused! I hope there are no more bridges round here or we may never find our way out.
Arrived at GZ and knew from the last cache that we would be looking for something a little different.... Straight away found something a little suspect so pulled the top off to be greeted by two big black hairy eight legged cache guardians! I'm not sure who got the biggest fright but they managed to run away far quicker than I could.

Was walking between caches being a non premium member, walking directly past a cache felt wrong. I couldn't help but purchase premium and find it. Awesome hide
Walking between non premium member caches with JordanD125 and couldn't just walk past this one! had to get premium and give it a shot! TFTC
Found this one a lot more quickly than the previous bridge! A gorgeous day to take time to find some caches. All good, tftc!
Been living in porirua for a while now and didn't know this place even existed. Tftc
This cache was my turn around point on a visit to the forest this morning. It was a pretty quick find for me, and all in good order. Thanks very much for the cache.
Always nice to discover something a bit different. Quick find as the sun lowers and bush chill sets in. Cheers trancer96!
#2072. After a 3 night R&R (and caching) trip to the Kapiti Coast, we learned of a new Multi in Bothamley Park, a spot I have never been to before.
GB Leader and I teamed up with Flowerydaze, Talla64 & JustlookingOO to do the Multi, but got bamboozled by the plethora of data and rocks. GB Leader took pix of all the little rocky dioramas and what a joy they were to see! I just hope they are respected by all visitors to the park. So, although we failed to make headway on the Multi, we made use of the visit to pick up the three Trads along the way. This was the first.
Nice easy find. Tftc trancer96.

Nice disguise, found the cache hide empty. Then luckily found the sistema on the ground near by in the grass. All replaced now. Tftc, the 11 old liked this one
A nice quick find thanks to ‘s super sleuthing. Thanks for the cool caches. KTG
My second visit to this park. I missed this one last time because of inconveniently timed muggles. Today the cache was just where I thought it might be. TFTC
Very nicely done indeed! Container is soaked but replacement log is nice and dry. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot. TFTC
Found it, but just can’t put my hand in there after the fright I just got from the spider last cache! I’ll understand if you want to remove this log.
I visited Bothamley Park and walked the three arms of the track, collecting the caches that trancer96 had placed since the last time I was here. It was a chilly calm morning with passing showers, so there were only a handful of other walkers and MTBers around.
I was pleasantly surprised to find most of the caches had brand new log books in them. I was also pleased to find most caches without needing the hint, a pretty rare thing for me!
Despite the nice camouflage I was lucky enough to find this in the first place I looked. TFTC.

Stopped by for a maintenance check and to refresh the log with a RITR logbook. The locator dowels on the top have broken but I don't think it is causing a problem. It's annoying that this cache is always more damp than is ideal.
Second find on a perfect day of getting back into geocaching. Very clever hide. Thank you.
Great camo - log a little damp so popped it into a new zip bag. All tucked away and good to go. A favourite for me. TFTC
It was the first place we looked but couldn't get it off so figured it wasn't there. But determination to find it made us re check it and a simultaneous face palm moment
A nice quick find here with accurate coordinates. Having got my eye in with the other bridge cache it only took a moment to locate the hide. The cache had a bit of water in it, so tipped that out. The log sheet was ok.

Straight forward, quick and easy find here. Again the cache had some water in it so tipped it out. Fortunately the log was protected and above the tide line so wasn't wet. Returned as found. Thanks for the cache.
A bit of an impromptu maintenance visit to see how this is holding up. This was much more wet than I was expecting and there was a bit of water in the cache. The log was dry enough though. Nice that the hide finally "fits" properly without jamming all the time. Just need to sort out the moisture problem somehow.
Out for an afternoon stroll and nobody about. Able to make the quick find and sign. Thanks for the clever cache.
Starting on the wrong side gave us a hint as what we were looking at...
Sometimes being miles off course gets you there in the end.

I came out here early this morning to find the earthcache for this weekend. I parked up in Tararua Close and made my way down the track, reaching the item in question. While on the outside it appears that there's plenty of hiding spots, on closer inspection it's a bit more sparse. However it wasn't long that I spotted something suspicious right under my nose and I soon had the cache in hand! I'm always a sucker for a 3C - cleverly concealed cache, and this was now exception. All good here, and TFTC+FP
Great hide and even managed to find sign and replace in the presence of muggles. Great to see these sort of hides springing up around the region.
Replaced log - please log a NM if the log is in poor condition. I couldn't infer from "mentions" if it needed replacing or not. Turn out it did.
Very creative hiding spot, my dad managed to find it and pointed it out to me. TFTC
now that I'm a premium member I am able to award favourite points, so I'm awarding some to the more memorable and enjoyable caches that I've found, added a favourite point for this one for the nice hide
Needed a cache today to deal to a dot day. Decided to drive to this neck the woods with the geohound to combine our usual end-of-the-day walk and locate a cache at the same time, this one being my last unfound traditional cache in Bothamley Park.
No-one around at the time. Located it reasonably quickly. Hope to walk the whole length of this track at some stage! #2674. TFTC.

Out and about with Talla64 enjoying a pleasant walk through Bothamley Park; the rain is just about holding off. A little patience was required while a muggle with dog sauntered along the path, after that it was a reasonably quick find. Left a TB. Thanks for placing this series of caches in this very nice area.
Out and about with Flowerydaze on a cold morning threatening with rain. A very pleasant walk in an area we had not been to previously. After waiting for a muggle and his dog to pass by we soon had the location identified. Yet another well constructed cache well worth a FP. TFTC
Checked up on this while in the area. Cache itself is OK but the camo is still not quite right and requires some minor work to make it easier to access the cache.
Sveppi and I have moved down here from Rotorua back in August. At first I was unemployed and walked through the park a few times, but didn't hunt for geocaches as I wanted to share these finds with sveppi. Finally we come back during a nice mild after work walk (we should do this more often. Still trying to get into the routine of things). Only one cache found today, we are saving others for another outing.
Found easily, just how I would have hidden it to boot! Thanks!

Moved here recently and are now just exploring the area. Good hide and well constructed. TFTC
After grabbing the other bridge first i knew i would find something as equally well crafted! Great hide
I enjoy going under bridges even more than going over them. However, they are not in fact bridges but are rather tunnels when you go under them. I have had much discussion about this fact pretty much my whole life. I had fun in the tunnel playing with the bits and pieces and especially the little train which mum paid a fiver for. Thanks for the fun.
# 1264 Was in the area to unsuccessfully again try to find the final to a puzzle. In any case myself and the DangerBOY continued along our walk to another bridge, or was it just a bridge this time? Was expecting a similar construction to another bridge but this one was slightly different but equally as crafty. We hung around under the bridge examining all the trinkets while life went on overhead. We swapped a five kina note from a trip to Papua New Guinea, for the cute little train that has been played with extensively since. While loitering around after the find we encountered one lady dog walker, two council workers, three ladies with prams which made me think I was doing it hard lugging my child in a pack, and then four energetic dogs. Busy spot. Thanks for the nicely constructed cache trancer96, all good inside.TB in.
Working my way back to the car now, and as nobody was around, I went for this one. was just about to replace the container, when I heard a strange skittery sound above me - caused by a large dog running over the bridge above my head! This was closely followed by another large dog powering through the ford, and then after a minute or so, by the feet of their owner. My departure from GZ was delayed as I decided to wait for them to leave... TFTC - good hide!
Kids walk past here frequently so were excited to know there was a cache here.
Good hide.
Nothing taken, a couple of small things left.

One of the nearest caches to home and decided to finally go out and get it with Ezratar. A lovely crafted cache that deserves a favourite. Ezratar loved throwing stones into the river. Thanks for the cache and walk.
Took a few minutes, I had seen the correct thing initially but my attempts to access it were slightly off. After looking over the logs I was inspired to try again with success this time.
The outside of the actual cache was quite damp but the contents were only a little moist.

The one was quite well hidden so it took a while but we got it in the end. TFTC. Sherlock Hood and Squirrel.
My GPSr initially tricked me into going to the wrong side but I soon realised I was too far away and went to the other. In contrast to my previous stop, I didn't take any time to get the cache into my hands.
