Made my way up to a very nice view of the mountain today. But despite trying about 3 corners couldn't make the find. Last attempt for the day, oh well. Thanks for the introduction to the pleasant spot.
Nice easy concrete path to the top. With no muggles on the day, I was able to retrieve and place a replacement log.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A planned expedition into the Taranaki region. All logs were signed with our individual handles, or Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa) depending on who accessed the logbook first...
King's Birthday Sunday: It rained heavily overnight, and today was marginally better. We appreciated the concreted, zig zagging path here. It saved us from a tramp through wet grass… We briefly considered the foggy view before going for the cache - A good hide to suit its environment. Thanks trayc.g & GigiEV. TFTC.

Nice spot and good sized cache, suitable camo. Added a couple of things. Log book and container a bit wet but still able to write in.
Nice one and I saw it already.
Thanks for setting it up.
I've found this cache during my second day of the Queen memorial weekend in Taranaki.

I was passing through the area on a pleasant morning and decided this looked like a quick cache to grab.
I had not expected such a cool view of the town but as expected the mountain itself was having one of its frequent cloud days.
After searching the wrong hint area for a while I noticed another, much better, hint area and had quick success.

I had to wait a while for two girls on electric scooters to leave the area... however as they left a couple with their grandchild who is 7 turned up. So in order not to come across weird I let them know what I was up to. It turned out that the seven year old's girl scout troop often do geocaching as an exercise and so before I knew it, with the blessings of her caregivers I had a little helper. After we made the find it was photo time for the young person and the cache. So we both signed the log and then we both put the log back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
Camo had me fooled for a bit but dug it out. Fine views. Removed trash from near gz.
A nice easy stroll to the top. No problems finding the cache. Sadly the mountain was obscured by cloud. TFTC trayc.g & GigiEV!
A posh path up the hill Quick find of the fun container, thanks trayc.g & GigiEV!
Found with the Inglewood Rangers, its quite damp including the log book. They had fun finding this in the dark.

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC. Yes some good views tonight Nice track up
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
nice walk to the top of the hill rain held off thank god,little bit windy today cache was soon found with the help of the grandkids and signed.
nice walk up the hill for this geocache grandad slipped over while searching for the geocache and nearly went back down the hill faster than he came up.
Struggled up to the top of the hill in a bit more than ten minutes. Pretty straightforward find. Loved the container. Took a pic but mount was covered in cloudy
After the concert in New Plymouth last night Arcane Junior, my wife and I are now on our way back to Whanganui. Naturally we decided to try and nab a few more caches on our way home.
There were two muggles sitting at the table but thankfully we were out of sight completely. A quick find once we made our way to the top of the hill.
I’ve never seen a camo like the one used here before. What an amazing idea!
TFTC trayc.g and GigiEV!

Just went up and checked and cache is all good and exactly where it should be took TB to move on
Thought I would do my COF this afternoon but you need to make an appointment, so instead went over for a drive and do a geocache, despite my GPS had me out at Norfolk Hall I found it, a favourite point from me for the container and making me walk up the hill, also left a tb, tftc
First find here in Inglewood. Nifty little hide. Careful not to slip when wet
(# 5678). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 2 was to drive from New Plymouth to Hawera then back on home directly. Walked up the hill and quick find followed. Liked the cammo. Everything in order. TFTC
Having a day caching near Mount Taranaki. The area was busy as there was an event at the stadium, but no one else was on the walkway. Cache all safe and sound, great camouflage. TFTC
Brilliant camo! A quick find on a windy Saturday afternoon. Not much of a view today, but still a great spot. Tftc
Great little walk up Trimblewood to Mud Lookout to get this one tagged. Cheers.
Day 8 - Saturday 21 December. A long day from New Plymouth to Egmont, then Stratford and back to New Plymouth for a few well earned ZZZZs.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Nice walk up, but I note the Trimble walkway is missing off the maps, so I plotted it and hope to add it soon. Dropped in a path tag. Just one question - what does the cache title mean? Mud? What mud?
Day eight of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is up the mountain!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

First cache expedition since knee surgery 6 weeks ago. A nice path for the climb which I was happy to see and Mr geco72 made the last few metres across the grass to grab this one...great work on the camo. Tftc
Checked up on this today and cache is still in its hidey spot ready and waiting to be found
Did not find, but there was a spot where it looked like something should have been.
Nice views of the town up here, one of quite a few little hills we would end up climbing while we were here.
Up here for an awesome weekend jaunt with Team Gators, TheWanglers and Karma Reprint to do a loop of the mountain in 48 hours grabbing as many caches as we could while having a good laugh. Logs signed as some derivative of (KT)^2
Cheers trayc.g for the cache

A planned geocaching trip to the USA was shelved (but is all go for this time next year!) so we came up with a weekends Plan B. Taranaki with TheWanglers, KarmaReprint and KiwiMoose - logs signed (TK)^2 or a variation of. A really fun trip with the forecast rain and thunder seemingly always in the distance but never hindering us. A really fun weekend.
Arrived in New Plymouth; grabbed the rental and hit the road running - aiming for Hawera....
Mud indeed! Quickish find and sign whilst stepping carefully...Cheers.

A quick and easy find. A bit of a plod up the hill, and a wee slip in the mud near the bottom. Cheers
Day one, New Plymouth airport to Hawera.
A long weekend cache raid to Taranaki. The weather didn't stop us doing anything, and we had fun times. Logs were signed with a combination of KT and 2 depending one which of did the signing. Thanks Kiwi Moose, Team Gaters and TheWanglers for a choice time.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

A plan was hatched for a few of us to head to America for a Mad Mission. With life getting a bit crazy a downsized trip was organised as I had sorted childcare for the cachelets. The big America trip is now set for next year. We asked a member of our crew if we could go to Nelson, Dunedin, Auckland, Wellington, Hastings the answer all came back "I don't have many to find there". We left it to that member to suggest an area. He came up with New Plymouth and a loop around the mountain. That's a go from the rest of us. We sorted puzzles, gpxs, motels and a car and hit the ground running. The forecast was doom, gloom, rain, hail and lightning. Oh well, sounds exciting. We had very little of any of the weather that affected our caching and found we had all overpacked (thank God!).
Day 1: We grabbed the car and started caching at 2pm and made it to Hawera after 8pm settled into our accommodation and had a bit to eat and hit the town before calling it quits for the day.
Quickish find here.
Thanks for the cache trayc.g.

Definitely not muddy anymore! Beautiful day to be up here. Great camo, kids enjoyed the swaps
#6480. I came up to New Plymouth last week for a work trip. Decided to stay on a day to do some local geocaches before flying home. Rented a car and cruising around picking up caches close to the main roads. Headed down this side road and saw the hill. Yep that is a good spot for a cache. Wasn't expecting a concrete path to the top however. Nice quick stroll uphill then off under the trees to locate the cache. Quick find. Very nicely presented container. Well done. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here trayc.g & GigiEV.
Heading out in the company of HKCB for a quick 24 hours down to Taranaki collecting caches around the mountain to try to tidy up the area.
We departed Hamilton at 7pm Friday and made it back home 7pm on Saturday with a haul of 70 caches and 820kms traveled. A great drive through the night, clear sky's and a fantastic day on Saturday to view the mountain in all its glory, a calm sea along the coast. Together these factors made the trip memorable as we could not have asked for better conditions to cache in.
A big thank you to all the CO's whom have placed these caches for us and continued their maintenance.
As a kid I recall spending time in Inglewood generally going to the cattle sale.
Tonight there was no view but we did locate a well maintained cache.
Thank you for the placement, thank you for the cache.

In the company of Cats&Dragons for a quick 24 hour blast around Mt Taranaki, with the aim to tidy up as much of the area as possible. Leaving 7pm Friday night and returning 7pm Saturday we managed the loop and found about 70 caches along the way, with a couple of hours sleep thrown in as well. The weather also played its part with fantastic vistas throughout the day of the mountain.
With some well hidden and maintain caches found throughout the day a big thanks must go to all the CO's for the placements. Thought about taking the direct route up to the cache, but on a second thought the path looked much easier. Neat views from up here tonight, an easy find once at GZ.

A pleasant walk to GZ with a nice view at the top. The rain just about held off enough for me to walk down as well. The cache was a quick find thanks to a good clue. TFTC.
This was the eleventh day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. I am in and around New Plymouth grabbing as many caches as I can today.
Wow concrete pathway all the way to the top. How extravagant!
I loved the camo. I need to get some of that for my next cache. TFTC.

Stopped off on the way home from work. It's a nice spot to linger and look at the mountain on a warm day. But it's not warm day and the wind sends me back to the car pretty smartly. Thanks.

Even though I helped place this cache it still shows up as an unfound cache so thought I better sign my name in the log and drop a line here.
A nice size cache container nicely camouflaged and an easy find due to the good coordinates. Thanks for the placement. We dropped off a couple of personal tokens.
We came out here to pick up a friend who works out here occasionally and when i saw this casche i thought ill take my gumboot as the titled suggested i would need them. then i saw the path.. wow concrete at that with suberb hairpin bends! Some one on bike has certainly gone down it! so up i went and once there i wished i had my gumboots as the long grass was wet but i managed it and found the hidden treasure signed and replaced.
thank you for showing me this litt;le walk way and view from up the top.-another smiley face and cache for the souvenirs.

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
After getting the two caches I set out to get I'm now hunting other caches as I make my way home via Inglewood after a great start to the day the weather has turned and it is starting to spit
Took the short zig zag walk up to the top of the hill where there was a great view of Inglewood
Thank for the cache

Fun, we loved the clever hide and the walk!! Sadly forgot to take a writing stick!!
No mud today, just a nice newish path. A good view of the mountain with a partial cloak of cloud and a very cool SE wind blowing. Good placement and camou. Tftc 2 TBs dropped in.
Did this one with my Guide unit and Amaru family. Logging now as I have my own account. TFTC
A good vantAge point from up here. Love the cache camouflage. Very cool. Also glad to find one big enough for some swag. Tftp
