Logs
We didn't spend too long looking for this cache, as the previous log implied that currently it was not in place.
Found on footpath away from GZ, left it with Phil at the Top 10 Holiday park office as knew he was a fellow cacher. It was no longer sticky.
The main problem we had with the area nearby is that we got our campervan stuck, as we parked on a gravel area the wheels just sank, it turned out the gravel had washed over the soft dirt and looked as though it was going to be a firm area to park - turned out it was not. A lovely young man from a nearby farm came with his tractor and pulled the campervan out. Not sure what we would have done without him.
Anyway back to geocaching... This was a quick easy find, been a while since we have used one of these, but they used to be the norm.
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley.

I admit it's been a number of years since I've stepped foot in one of these contraptions. Spotted quickly TFTC

During our holidays in New Zealand, we spent a couple of days near Tekapo Lake with program sightseeing, gastronomy and, of course, Geocaching!
So, we took the time to visit a few Caches, to remove some green, orange or blue dots on our map.
We will distribute favorite points according to our mood and caches met.
Thank you to all Owners for the installation of these boxes and for their maintenance.
A nice place for a box!
Greetings from France!

On our 12th day in New Zealand we travelled on from Tekapo to Christchurch. We woke up on a bright, sunny and warm morning. But on the other side of the lake we could already see fog rolling over the hills into the valleys. Up to the first cache for this day it was all sunny but then we drove into the fog and later on even rain. We stopped here, really seldom to see this phone booths now a days. We were looking around and found eventually something lying on the floor. It turned out to be the cache. We placed it now in another place there as it would not stick to the presumably original position anymore. In our opinion it's a suitable spot, not obvious for those using the tool there.

Mit apaspa starten wir früh am Morgen bei blauem Himmel Richtung Christchurch. Bald wurde es aber düster und feucht. Die GZs waren fast alle problemlos gefunden. TFTC
On a 10 Day holiday of the South Island, we are visiting from Australia. Sl thanks for the cache.
Quick find but the cache needs maintenance. The placing of the log isn't obvious so that had lead to the holder being poked and pulled at. But a very clever cache. Thanks for the cache.
Need maintenance as the container is not staying in place as it should but a lovely find. I don’t think my son has used one of these. TFTH
Arrived in Geraldine yesterday for a couple of days geocaching before heading on South. Was surprised to find Tufty already encamped on my arrival. This morning we headed off together to find a few of the local caches. This was our third Postman Pat cache of the morning. Very tgricky this one. This cache has seen better days and is in need of urgent repair before it disappears. TFTC
I decided to stop off in Geraldine and park my snail shell up here for a few days. My bro showed up a few hours later. So today, while Mrs BaldEd did the shops, BaldEd and I headed out to tackle a few caches starting at the north of the town.
I saw what could have been discribed as rubbish hanging and decided to check it out. Yep, it was the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Some urgent repair is needed. I suggest that the CO doesn't wait too long before visiting.

7942. Stopped by here on our way back home to Christchurch. After an idea Rodney had last night the sneaky hide was discovered. Now for the drive home. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
No luck today.
Even phoned a friend and still no luck. Maybe could benefit a visit from Jesse the cat.
Next time.......

Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
After completing the river trail a couple parkngrabs were on the table as I headed to find some food before heading for home.
Both easier and harder to find at night....no one around but harder to spot?!
Nice one. Cheers.

JDScout and I went to go Geraldine for the weekend and attended the event in the evening. We stayed at the Top 10 after a fun night at the bonfire. Time to head home with a few detours.
I pushed the buttons and no change came out.

Interesting, we spent a while looking around this with the little guy trying every hole he could. Then, something looked a little odd and there it was - perhaps not where it should be? But with the use these get now days, it should be safe for a while yet! Cheers
Another' fun to find hide'! Thanks have had a fun afternoon in Geraldine and finding a few caches.
For me! Really? Thank you so much - it would be rude not to stop by then wouldn't it? Nice quick find here in what's becoming a rarity. TFTC # 12,573
It has been many years since I have had to use one of these! A quick find while waiting for tea. TFTC
Picked it up but no one was there..Although on closer inspection we did find a Cache there.Clever.TFTH
The forecast for today wasn't great, so StreetWalker and I decided to head to Mt Peel Forest to try and find the last of our unfound alphanumeric puzzles that were solved quite some ago, as well as carry on up the Mesopotamia road to see if we could score a couple of FTFs.
I looked outside while SW looked inside, and one of use found the cache... Nice hide. TFTC.

Couldn't quite believe it was just there. A quick find as it happens. I wonder what passers by thought to see two people in there. Thanks M.
It's for you. Got it. Came around the bend and yep that's got to be it. A quick search and cache in hand. Tftc found with rayzr2
ahhh yes I spent many hours in a similar model in my younger youthful days when it was necessary to actually talk to someone if you ever wanted to have a social life I hardly ever paid for the privilege either as there was a system called *tapping" the phone that was very useful anyway found with team_macdonald after the nice quiet event for st paddys day down the road a bit ..... Spent the night in Geraldine to break up the trip home from Queenstown after the Motatapu race on the weekend, and of course collect a few caches. Has been a productive morning so far! Off to do another multi
