So many electric fences Ive been hit before so dont take any chances. A sneaky pullover and cache soon in hand. Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island always wanted to visit, now Im here! And theres caches of course! Beautiful place, thank youTeamAstro for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
At last found it. Was overthinking the coordinate clue but eventually with help of CO got there and had a quick drive by after the island fish fry tour. TFTC.
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to TeamAstro for placing this cache.
Found with Ris768 while travelling on Norfolk Island TFTCLog 3337Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache TeamAstro
Found with WaywardWoman and oldmorty. We were a bit thrown by the cache size description. This did not worry WaywardWoman as she slowly revealed her find. Thanks to the CO for the puzzle and the cache.
#7507-Solved this one before leaving home, though when I first looked at it I thought it stood for no .. idea. Out caching for the day with frazeydaze and old Morty. A nice quick easy find along the way in a pretty spot. Thanks
OCW frazeydaze and WaywardWoman. Now this was literally a quick park and grab for WaywardWoman. TFTC.
#7561 NI Day 3After our breakfast event, harveyt2079 and I headed towards Kingston again to collect caches in the south eastern corner of the island. I had NFI until that light bulb moment at a CCC event.TFTC TeamAstro
An appropriately-named cache. Tried something on a whim and there it was, just as we did at GZ. Thanks TeamAstro.
My buddies: bella at waggyNorfolk is gorgeous! The puzzle was fun to solve.. the name of this cache had me ??Thank you TeamAstro, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
Out caching the area with ADi and coming back up the hill in fading light. We stopped very close and made a quick find and sign. TFTC
Another puzzle I enjoyed solving at home. After some respite at the Olive Cafe, after having done a very physically challenging cache, I was ready and full of energy to tackle some more. Thankfully, this was not hard to find and I expended no energy in its retrieval. I was sure glad I didn't get zapped though.
Day 3 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12074find.Thankyou TeamAstro for placing and maintaining this cache
Norfolk adventure 2023, must be like number 23 or something? Nice little spot for ferns and papaw, tftc. Big thanks again to Portstevo for the puzzle assist, you legend!
# 8944 Norfolk Day 3, team "Dem CBR" myself, iPlod65, Joolay, barb2e and contesta had another fantastic day of caching and exploration. We started down at Kingston with our host for the morning: Endevour3. It was cool and very blustery today, but not enough to discourage us. Then it was off to east coast to grab some more difficult caches. Lots of climbing today, but always stunning destinations. Finally off up to Captain Cook Pt for a couple of amazing spots.Cool puzzle. Some logs signed collectively "Dem CBR".Thanks TeamAstro for the Mystery Cache
Tricky puzzle but glad to pick this up today. How exciting to be at Norfolk finally. This has been the plan for so long. Lovely to be here with Contesta, barb2e, Strangetrousers and IPlod65, signing as DEM CBRThanks for getting me out and about TeamAstro

Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]After arriving this avo and sorting out accommodation, car, phone SIM and some food we set off do do a few caches. Took us a few minutes to locate this one, IolantheK had the sharp eyes [^]TFTC TeamAstro
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge This afternoon we headed out to Ball Bay to gather a few caches. We had the solution in hand and made a quick find at GZ. TFTC, TeamAstro.
Ah, a nice easy D2 puzzle for me to quickly sort out before heading over to Norfolk for a week. This won't take long at all I thought... Hmm... Like the title suggested, after checking the photos on the cache page and trying to extract information out of them, I did indeed have NFI on how to get the final coords...
A quick message to the CO and a nudge received, I had another look and hey 'what if I try this''... Voila coordinates secured and locked in for the trip. [^]
In the area this afternoon, I pulled up at GZ and quickly had the cache in hand, where my name was added to the log.
A simple yet frustrating puzzle, brought to you by the evil TeamAstro.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Found this cache on our day of exploring NI by geocaching. Puzzle solved with the guidance of Endeavour 3. TFTC
A couple of tries had this solved. On the way there was an old tree that came down from above the road, but the downline was fine. Good parking spot, and had this in hand fairly quickly. Thanks for the cache.
Harking back to grade 11 physics and reflection / refraction of light in lenses etc, once I thought about things the correct answer soon came out. This was after discovering an astronomer probably lived close to the posted coords just was a poisson rouge as the french would say. Another discovery of an astronomical observatory in Adelaide was another useful fact. Discovering the cache was pretty easy with no herrings fortunately. Tftc, team astro. Tnx to e3 also.
After being given a nudge at the New Year's Day meet up, this one became easy to get.
The closest to our accommodation too.
Thanks for the cache and the help.

Day 7 on the Island and back into some walking to caches. Our aim was to finish the 10 remaining caches on the Island so that we don't have to panic tomorrow.
Managed to solve this at home, quick find.

Today is Wazza9 & my last day of geocaching on the Island. We came 7 days ago, today marks that we have found every cache on the Island. 2nd cache of 10 today, a very quick find. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 4 nights and and countless days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The prisoner had reflected on this cache before being shipped to Norfolk. With some spare time on day release a drive to this bay to ponder ways of escape was always on the cards.

Find Number 2523 found at 11:08. Today we found 10 caches. We had 0 DNF's.
The final full day of our trip to Norfolk Island was even quieter than planned. We held an event in the morning, had the afternoon free and our "Sound and Light" show in the evening was cancelled. After the event I went after some of the solved puzzles and bonus caches.
I solved this before leaving for the island. I understood the basic concept, but it took me a few attempts to get the exact idea. Once at GZ it was a quick and easy find.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found
Thanks TeamAstro for the cache.

Parked nearby and made my way up to GZ for a quick find, in part because container was on the ground. Seems like some damaged wire had broken. Didn’t have anything suitable to replace it with, so wedged it into its alcove as best I could. Probably needs some TLC. TFTC
Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,

Found while out on a little cache drive with my Dad, had an amazing time picking up solved puzzles around the area. All these caches have taken us to every nook and cranny around the island and I’m really enjoying it so far!
Came down here yesterday to get all the nearby caches but didn’t realise that this one was down here as we hadn’t solved it yet. After quickly solving it last night we came down here this afternoon and quickly had the cache in hand.

With fading light in the late afternoon, we headed out again to grab some newly solved puzzles, finishing in the dark up an 'impassable when wet' track - that's a fun afternoon!
I'm a (non-practising) amateur astronomer, so knew what refracting telescopes do to images, so tried something on a whim with the puzzle and had the solution, about time!
Samuel made the find at GZ, and picked some more guavas.... TFTC!

Found with NutCacheBNE, after turning ourselves inside out with the whole puzzle idea. Well done, tricky.
Yep… NFI is what we thought when we first looked at this puzzle.
Then we looked a bit harder and noticed ‘something’. So we tried ‘something’ with the coords and checker said “No”.
Then while talking with some fellow Cachers it was suggested we try ‘something’ but slightly different. We tried that and got the green tick. Don’t know why we didn’t think of that.
Anyway, here we are today, out in the lovely countryside with your cache in our hands. Nice.
Thank you for the puzzle and cache and adding more fun to our holiday.

Today was our first full day on NI with the weather overcast and only a few short showers. Due to the number of caches found, will do a generic log. Thank you to the CO's for placing these caches in the respective location. These caches brought us to many great views of this beautiful islands. TFTC
Spending the day caching around Norfolk Island between a few showers. We covered quite a bit of the island and traveled along many of the minor roads.
Thanks to the COs who have placed hides on the island as well as Endeavour3 who has many caches, as well as maintaining the caches of others.

Nicely tucked away. Love the furry trees about here.
Trip log: Norfolk Island... Not something we had been planning to do but with GreyHams noticing travel here was starting up again, a good deal on flights and that this would count as a new caching 'country' this was indeed a very tempting location to visit.
Puzzles were solved, our double vaccinations certificates ready to go. A last minute change in the entry requirements added our PCR tests... but we arrived.
We had a challenge to collect as many of the caches as we could in the 48 hours we would be on the Island... A caching trip, but one that guided us around into every hidden gem the Island had to offer. All its beauty, history, scenic and quirky... and moisture! Humidity that sucked the energy out of every pore as we sweated our way about, but it was awesome!
An event the first evening was fantastic to meet with endeavour3, a wealth of local knowledge and assistance... both caching and the local area. It was great to confirm details, amend as needed and with a few DNFs help us back on track.
An honourable mention to the cows, especially the one that licked all over the car, the feral chickens (but not the roosters that wake up far to early and noisily) and the very friendly waving people everywhere we went!
Thanks for your cache that helped guide us about, and can all the caches be found within 48 hours... I'm very pleased to say that yes we could!

Aquilus1 and myself were on a mission: Go to Norfolk Island and clear the place out in 48 hours! This we achieved as we arrived well prepared, having ground out the puzzles (some with assistance) so that we had coords for nearly all hides before leaving Australia.
Brain tickler test & vaccination certificates in hand, we were shocked on arrival that our Australian mobiles had no roaming coverage....NONE! But, thankfully it seems most accommodation not only comes with a car, but comes with a phone as well.
I swear we did at least 5 laps of the island, I knew my way around very well by the end. NI is such a beautiful place, I am coming back with the family in a month and I already know exactly where I will take them.
On our first day we hosted an event and thankfully the local legend cacher, endeavour3, graced us with his presence. Some sage advice on the trickiest of NI hides was gladly received
And, it has to be said......OMG THE HUMIDITY!!! Canberra has none at all, it was a major shock to the system!

We had a great time whizzing about with Duncan, knocking off the unfound caches on my list. Its always satisfying to solve a puzzle and have the opportunity to find it. Thanks
I thought nfi stood for something else but now I know better. No problems with the puzzle or the cache. Thanks
We solved all the Norfolk Island puzzles early last year for a trip that had to be postponed because of Covid. Finally made it here, and have enjoyed caching on the island.

Jude-E found A nudge was given on how to solve this mystery cache As puzzles always do my hair done unless I can see straight away how to solve them thanks for the chance of increasing my puzzle count.
We stopped too high initially but then jumped back in the car and spotted a more likely gz and sure enough there it was. Thanks for the puzzle which I was really overthinking until a geocaching friend enligjtened me. Enjoyed the drive here and beyond.

We made our way down and soon homed in on the location. It was a quick find after that. Tftc.
With the last little bit of work done for the week, there was some time for more exploring before the long haul home later today. I'd been racking my brains as to how to do this one but having had the great pleasure of meeting the NI geocaching supremo yesterday , I now had the methodology.
This was the last bit of the island that we hadn't explored so we rectified that this morning which meant we could drop by here. Even the hide had me going for a few minutes but then something twigged and I finally spotted the stash at 09:15.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks TeamAstro.

Thank goodness for Endeavour3 for help solving your puzzles Astro??. We normally ignore mystery caches only because we have no clue where to start but with a challenge in front of us................ Loved this one - definitely a favourite. Walked down the road as it was closed due to the airport upgrade. Was a bit of a slog uphill to come back! Thanks
This was a nice puzzle to solve, but a bit of a challenge to find as the road is closed. So we waited until after working hours and took a chance to drive down and find it. A really good one. A favourite. TFTC
I LOVED this brilliant cache. Definitely a favourite tick. The guardian spider appeared with the cache. I put the cache back and fetched my camera. Unfortunately it appears the spider is camera shy and it didn’t want to appear again, so there is no photograph of it. TFTC TeamAstro.
Lunch at an event with Endeavour3 today and he gave us a tip on a few of the caches. We had coords, but clarified access and this was one. We love this type of cache...very clever.

Very clever cache! So easy but so clever. At first I thought I needed a particular TOTT (which I had with me at the time) but no need. The puzzle was simple as well. Now it's onto Ball Bay for another cache and to fly my drone
Probably our last for this trip. Had a coffee and a great chat with Endeavor 3 who gave us some help with puzzle solving. He is the perfect man to be trusted with the care of. Norfolk’s geocaches.loved the mechanism of this one tftc

Had the puzzle solved at home before arriving for our much anticipated trip to the island. Certainly made this harder than it actually was - senior moment! that's my story anyway.
It had been so long since I had solved any puzzles that I was way out of practice and needed a push in the right direction to find the final coordinates. Thanks for the push TeamAstro. SL
Justjessie and I made a late decision to spend a week holidaying on Norfolk. A quick check of the caching map revealed the "Se Dun challenge" The local term for completing something, so we set about "completing" all 53 caches on the Island. Can't be that hard can it....?
Initially we thought that NFI was "No F&^%$ng Idea, then the Penny dropped.
Each log has a random picture from our time on the Island, we would recommend it to other cachers as a great way to spend a week, getting to know the Island the people and their heritage.

Mrs. O. solved this one a while back. At first she had had NFI...but then saw the light.
Strolled down from Elizabeth but came out pretty much at sea level so had to walk back up to GZ, where Mrs. O. was already praising the construction of the cache. Mr. O. then took it on and enjoyed it too!

Tftc. Great cache and another beautiful spot. Our last island cache, at least for this visit. Thanks to the COs on Norfolk for showing us their beautiful island. special mention to Endeavor3 for organising the event cache for International Geocaching Day and his welcome and generosity to visiting geocachers.
I got a good nudge in the right direction with this puzzle! This morning we headed out to grab some caches and this was #2 for the day. Spotted GZ from a few meters away but actually retrieving the cache proved to be a little bit more challenging. Got there in the end. TFTC
First to Find ??. I had to leave the Island for a few days and asked a visiting cacher to look after all my caches. Nothing to strenuous, just replace the odd mint tin. But noooo ??. I come home to find he has been placing caches all over the rock, including placing multiple ?. All the images have been reversed, could that be a clue ??. Yay, a ? from the checker. I passed the GPSr to the muggle why I drove to the likely location. A blank logbook [FTF] ?? Hint to future finders. Do no dismantle the cache. Look for the bolt on the side. A FP from me. TFTC
