Doing a bike ride along the Moonee ponds creek on this sunny Saturday morning and stopped by to find this cache. TFTC
*Valentine's Bike Adventure #9*Fourth DNF for the day... and the year. Thanks heaps for the cache!
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #11 - a 23,500 step walk from Coolaroo to Glenroy via the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail whilst also celebrating our 20th Geocaching Anniversary. I poked around a bit before locating this one. A call from home alerted me to the weather radar and a storm approaching so this was going to curtail my walk earlier than I had hoped so from here, it was a race to get as many as I could before making a bee line back to the train. Thanks from D B-A
We hadn't been for a scooter ride for a little while so headed this way with my smallest geokid and KristysAdventures as well in the pleasant weather and looked for a few along this trail that I am rarely near. There were a lot of spiky bushes and annoying thorns so we had a few DNF's and I still have a thorn in my finger now, 3 days later while logging these. After bending down for a couple of minutes and getting a sore back we once again got bored and moved on.Thanks GeoClasher5 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
I am going to be replacing it soon getting more bison tubes so maybe at October we will probably replace and because I live so close to this cache
We found the cap attached to the tree but the body of the container is missing
Im going to replace this cache not going to be hanging anymore sadly i just cant waste more bison tubes cause the trail is going missing every day it will still be a micro most like a eclipse cointainor

Welp spent all this time walking to thos one and couldn't find it well that was a waste of time
Great spot for a well hidden cache. Being taller is a disadvantage but I had my jumper on and managed to grab the cache. Took a bit of searching. Log is full. TFTC
Oh my that was hard. Being 194 cms I had to find an opening to get in that had to get down so low to make it closer to the middle. Oh my back right now. Turned around to get out and saw it right in front of me. Well hidden
A great hide this one and a good one for enthusiasts of being scratched. Long sleeves recommended. I actually had to approach this from a number of angles but eventually saw it.

Out and about with echidna44 for another day of doing what we love within our 15 k. Nice easy find today for us. Thanks for the cache Team justice
Out with xambo4u in the Jacana area for a fun day of caching. An easy find here.
Thanks Team Justice.
Thanks Team Justice.
Very frustrating day...got just as many DNF than I found.
I looked for far too long on this one and still couldn't spot...I gave up in the end.

Brought a new cacher along to see the jist of caching and she loves it! Thanks for placing these!
Found it! Hard to find and use the photos as a guide. We put a new piece of paper in in. It’s very small and approx 1 m off the ground
TFTC! Great spot here and beautiful tree. Unfortunately the log is very wet and just managed to sign but not very readable. Will need replacing!
Dropped off the Geowagon at Essendon Fields Autocentro for a service and i put the bike in the back so i can spend some time going for a ride
It has been quiet awhile since i have been on this bike path since i grew up not far from it.
They have done alot of work and it is great to see so many people out enjoying the sun after lockdown.
This was the last one in the series for me as I had already done the ones north of here a couple of years ago.
I didn’t realise that it was so long ago that I started this great series and have finally completed it.
I had a sit down on the nearby bench and waited for some muggles that were in no hurry to move one but saying that neither were I.
Another one that took longer than it should have but I got there in the end.
A fav goes out to you on this one as the series was enjoyable to do as it the last one for me to so this one gets it.
Thanks Team Justice TFTC

Escaping the Melbourne lockdown ... geocaching within our 25km! Stay safe everyone. TFTC
What a great spot!!! Unfortunately the log is drenched so we weren’t able to take it out and sign it. Still fun to find though!
Given that it is a large wattle tree I'm surprised that I found it so quickly! Luck was on my side
Got in under the tree and found this one pretty quickly using somebody’s previous photo. I feel like an O-ring would come in very handy for this hide
Out for my daily iso exercise and rugged up due to the weather. Stopped in at this cache and began the hunt. Was slowly getting wet from all the leaves when the heavens opened up. I was going to get soaked by the time I got home so decided to stick with it. It soon passed and I finally found the little sucker. Signed the wet log as best I could, sanitizing both before and after. Home now for some dry pants
This one took a while to find. With so many places to look, we ended up phoning a friend. Then we found it quickly. TFTC team justice.
Another fairly quick find on this perfect Autumn day after we phoned geodad for a little help.
Out with OzArtek so had 3 pairs of eyes.

So... I noted the disabled log on this one a few weeks ago, and planned to wander down to check it out. Work had me nearby, so this was the opportunity for another stroll along the creek.
Filtered results meant this wasn't loaded into my GPSr, but on the way past, I guessed the probable location. So the theory was tested on the way back from #15.
A previous log mentioning orientation helped me find the container pretty quickly, as there's a lot of real estate to cover otherwise. Sure enough, the log was damp. This happens over time with this type of container.
Fair enough, it's the cache owner's responsibility to maintain their hides. But here's a couple of Pro tips for keeping our pastime alive: firstly, close the container properly after you've signed the log, and secondly, print out an A4 page worth of fairly narrow log sheets and carry them with you. The owner will appreciate it, and you'll be able to sign the log.
Team Justice, you're welcome. This is just a small gesture of thanks for a bunch of caching fun.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
Hi there Cache Owner,
This cache has come to my notice as there is a 'Needs Maintenance' log that that indicates there is some sort of issue with the placement and it needs your attention please.
Check out the Guidelines here: [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable the cache**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

I found this one just before the disabling log. Yes the log needs replacement. Not surprised this one took me 2 goes as it is a big thick bush!
Such a beautiful tree in full blossom, but so many places to hide the cache! Eventually found it after a systematic search.
Log is very wet, almost impossible to write on and needs replacing.

Found @13:30 as I contemplated just how much Clarytine I had in the car and tried to ignore the ominous buzzing of a thousand bees feasting overhead while having eerie flashes of the movie My Girl. I definitely had to take the plunge with this cache as circling the tree was getting me nowhere. As previously mentioned this logbook is damp. TFTC!
This one was quite hard to find. Maybe because we we searching in the dark with our head torches on. Great find by my 10 year old nephew. 2 in a row for him now. Very well hidden. Really had to get in amongst the tree for this one.
Another great hide,I'm getting used to the hides and and the caches. Thanks again.

An early morning trip over here to collect this series of caches. This time I used my old hybrid bike. Took the front wheel off and it fitted into the car with a bit of a squeeze. Much heavier than my origami bike which is comfortable but a lot of hard work because of the smaller wheels.
It's nice knowing what you are looking for.

The Melbourne layover:
On the way to Auckland from Darwin, and, as it turns out, I had to contend with a 6-hour layover at Melbourne. So, I made a plan to come round to pick a few caches up, while trying out the Myki Card. Took the 901 to Broadmeadows, and embarked on a short caching trail along the Moonie Ponds Creek Trail. It was an absolutely lovely walk, with some easy caches to boot. All in all, picked up 5 here, and back to the airport it was.
The following is the specific log for each cache:
This one was the hardest of the caches on the trail, as the tree here was rather dense. I thought it would be closer to the main trunk, but that assumption led me to some pain and fruitless searching. It was when I turned around to face the setting sun, that the most beautiful sight caught my eye. Is that a cache? Why, yes it is... TFTC!

Easy find on a walk along this lovely bike trail on a crisp morning. Great scenery, a bit of wildlife and caches as a bonus.

Moonee Ponds Creek has undergone a total transformation over the years! Today as we pedaled around 18 kms along the trails collecting smiley tokens, P-P relived his childhood adventures among the tall gum trees, rocks, ferocious thistles and scented aniseed. as he grew up in Strathmore.
Added our name after the iconic pen of Red GT again!!
Thanks to 'Team_Justice' for placing this well planned, enjoyable series on the geo-gameboard.

out doing the trail today with Malbmatt50 and my sons cachemstr & craycraymstr.
Out and about with Trailstevo, back on a trail we thought we had completed last year but a whole heap of new cache which is great. Lucky the rain held off and we covered about 12km in total and double figures of hide. Was a perfect work out. TFTC
With Gunks having plans for Sunday, our usual caching night was moved to Saturday. Gunks selected Moonee Ponds Creek area and what a good choice managing to avoid the night's rain. A decent 12km walk allowed us to get into double figures, covering both sides of the creek and after most caches we were 'hanging' to find the next one. TFTC
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.
I like it

After a nice stroll to this one it is clearly a bit harder. But I suspect it was supposed to be found and it duly was after several minutes. This was the last one for me today, the others will have to wait.
A quick walk down the hill from my previous find, but it will probably take me a while to get back up! When first faced with the potential places I was a little concerned, but I got lucky and spotted it straight away. I’ll have to keep doing the series if this is the cache standard! Thanks!
Well this is the last cache in the series, and a walk around the area proved beneficial to both me and my dog, Thanks to Team Justice for all your hides
A good day for caching. A bit windy but cool and not too bright. It was great to meet Robmac and Betty Boo on the trail and do some of the caches together.
Thanks for the series Team justice.

#14515. After deciding not to ride the Trail on a weekend because I thought it would be too busy with muggles, kids, and doggie walkers we decided to attack it today. Pity the weather wasn't as kind to us today - wild and windy and I almost was blown off the bike a few times. A very pleasant ride along the concrete paths but it would be nice if there were more trees and shrubs planted to break up the barreness of some areas.
A lone tree so it had to be GZ didn't it? I thought it might take a while but Rob had his caching eyes working well today and soon spied the hide. Names added and northwards we roll.
Thanks Team_Justice

With a forecast of a sunny day, BettyBoo3747 and I decided to get out the deadly treadlies and head off for the further reaches of the Moonee Ponds Creek. Turned out to be a very windy day, particularly in some spots on this trail. Some very flash new bits to this trail since I have been here. (and a awful lot more houses!)
It is surprising how one small tree can break the wind so effectively.
Thanks, Robmc.
