Nope not this time. Could have gone the way of Joan of Arc. [xx(]On watch list for now.
@1320Spending the weekend based in Bright, chasing a few particular DT combos. My focus for today was doing the 9MST series.I e-biked to #10 and back up. I ran out of battery about 500m from this cache and had to walk, pushing the bike. Unfortunately, there was no sign of this one. It may be gone as a result of the recent controlled burn.
Spent the labour day long weekend out exploring the Mt buffalo area.Did quite a few walks in the area and saw many great sites.Braved the heat too.TFTC
After 14 years of living in Albury, I have never ventured up this way. All up 14 caches, 1 DNF, a few not attempted, an adlab, and 10kms of hiking. All up a great day out finished with a pub meal on the way home. Tftc jamin.
This was the last stop on the way down and a quick little park and go that was slower than I thought. Might have to stop this way another day for the walk down this trackTFTC
Last cache of the day (and I mean it this time) on my way back down the mountain after a grand day out in beaut weather.
Every time we drive up and down this road, I always point to this corner and say “there’s a cache there” but had never stopped for a multitude of reasons, namely being in a 4wd that doesn’t stop in a hurry when gravity has taken over during a downhill run, but today was different, I had planned this stop so i started pulling up the circus way back….
Anyway, we made it here in one piece and I got out on no so fresh legs, and wobbled my way to GZ where I found the cache quickly and didn’t fall over.
Now it’s off home.

Saw a glint of the container out the corner of my eye. Nice little find. TFTC
Heading the the Mount Buffalo area toda with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
Heading to Mt Buffalo today with LittleBoss2. This was a quick find once again. Great coords, thanks JA
Gate still padlocked shut, even though access restrictions not ongoing for this date
Glorious day up the mountain, spent all afternoon tobogganing with the kidlets. Next one on the drive back down, took a bit of poking around before I put my hand on this one. tftc!

While spending a few days in Myrtleford, I was keen to get out and go for a trail run in Mount Buffalo, and so chose the Nine Mile Track. The family dropped me off at the top of the trail, and while it was surprisingly not all downhill, the trail was a lot of fun to cruise along. All the caches were found safe and sound, although the GPS did have a little trouble pin pointing the right spot. By the time I finished running the Nine Mile Track, I continued out along Alpine Road towards Myrtleford, and covered around 17km. Loved this cache series set in a slightly more unseen area of Mount Buffalo.

Found on the way off the mountain. Were not planning to do this one but too many muggles at the more popular caches along the road so picked this one as it was very quiet. Easy find.
*Found on the 16 Jan 2021 @ 6:56 pm.*
*Cache find # 11324.*
It had been a big day and the legs were starting to feel it after all the walking we had done so we started to head down the mountain but on the way we decided to find a few park N grabs in this series along the way.
All the caches were found fairly quickly and we then headed to the next.
**Thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing this cache.**

After a great day up on Mount Buffalo hiking around and attending the celebration event, it was time to slowly head down and do some quick park and grabs before grabbing some dinner at the pub. With no real difficulty me manage to grab a handful more caches.
Thanks for the cache and bringing me out this way.

Hubby, geo dog Roxy and the eldest geo kid drove back home today. The rest of us are staying up here in Punkah for another 2 days as there is definitely no rush to get back with all the recent Covid outbreak. After getting up late and lounging around for most of the afternoon, it was decided we needed to get out and about into the wild and do some caching. Buffalo was our target. The weather was holding up nicely for us but as we neared closer and closer to the top, the weather was threatening and foggy. We were also on a mission to achieve our 800th find.
Well caching doesn't really float Babcia's boat but here she really got into it and surprisingly made the find. This one was nicely hidden. Babcia declared this didn't mean she enjoyed it, more so that she was hungry and just wanted to get down the mountain quicker to get dinner.
Cache and log in good condition.
Thank you for the cache here Jamin Appleford

Found this cache before descending down the spur to find some caches. Found the cache easily enough once we followed our GPS. Signed log and returned. TFTC
Long weekend away for Mt Buffalo Challenge, Camping locally and supporting a group that ride up. We grabbed a few caches on the way to the Chalet.

We are staying in Bright for a few days with the MX-5 Car Club... and this mornings activity was a drive up Mount Buffalo. Although not a spirited as it could have been due to some very slow cars, we had a pleasant morning tea at Cresta. With the rest of the day free to do as we wanted, I took my time driving down... stopping for several caches as I went. The cache was my fifth stop... for a quick find.
Thanks **Jamin Appleford** for putting this cache here.

After a fun day exploring Mount Buffalo we were heading back down the mountain and stopping for a few caches along the way. This was one of those we visited and it didn't take too long to find once the GPS settled. All good here. TFTC
We continue our ascent of the buffalo; geoD wishes he had his MTB with him so he could chase further smileys on this track.

**# 23536** Found on a cooler day for a drive around while at Bright.
Today we tackled Mt Buffalo Rd and checked out all the scenery.
Hardly any muggles on bikes up here today thankfully. .
Mostly good safe hides and mainly quick finds.

With the weather hotting up, it was time to escape the heat and head for the hills for the weekend. OZREG and I, enjoyed grabbing a few up around the mountains, where I hadn't explored previously. We made some good discoveries, clever hides and had some real adventures, over the weekend and shared some fun and laughs along the way.
Grabbed this quick one but left the rest on the track for another, much cooler day. It was a quick find.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

As mentioned by HappyFeet 1, Buffalo and district, we had a lot of fun on a Power Trail series as well as other caches. Yes! Shame a series was archived, but I/We thank all CO's for placement/s.
Another hot day in Albury soon saw us retreat to higher, much cooler ground. We discovered many new points of interest collecting these caches, some we had seen but never stopped to explore. Others were new to us. We did one side of the road on the way up and the opposite on the return. We noticed some old power, or telegraph lines at one point and it had us thinking what it would of been like here in its hay days when the Chalet was in full swing.

Day 2 of 3 of our little adventure in Bright. Started the day with the 5km Park run, followed by a breakfast roll in the bakery. Quick trip back to the cabin, quick change, more Equipment and off we set to explore some of mount buffalo and surrounds. Lots of shortish walks with the longes being 5km run, plus plenty of rock scrambling. Legs are totally stuffed now, and into Burgerville we went to smash a burger down which felt sooooo good, yummo! Thanks for the CO’s for today’s adventure.
Day 2 of the Gunks/Trailstevo weekend trek. Started up Buffalo. Short trek for the first few along 9 mile track.TFTC
On our two month travelling trip through Austrialia, we are enjoying all the wonderful places and scenery. We will stop on the way to visit some nice caches as well. This one we could find.

Checked on this cache as we made our way back to the geoCruiser at the parking co-ords about 3 pm. Still there all nicely tucked away, in good condition and waiting for the next visitors.
Muggle visiting from Wauchope for a few days. Lets go up the Buckland and find a few caches, She is into bird watching, which is a bit like caching.
Not having a lot of luck with some or your caches Jamin, this one should have been easy. Three sets of eyes turned up nothing.

Great parking spot to park to go and find this cache. Very hidden away right off the road. Mrs Sparra found this one after Mr Sparra kneeled on it and missed it. Very well hidden. Nice cache at the start of the track. SL. TFTC. Left a calling card and some more swaps for the kids. Thanks for putting a cache here for us to stop and find.cheers,
Last year when we did our annual trip up buffalo for the snow for the kids there were a limited number of accessible caches (plenty in the hell category though). This year totally different - a whole stack of easily accessible caches. This was the only one we attempted today on the return trip (will return to camp at Lake Catani) - was a quick find and sign - TFTC
Planned to ride the nine mile today but we were thwarted by a sign prohibiting entry due to controlled burns. That didn't stop us here though and in fact we walked to and from the next two. The rest will have to wait.
With all of JA's new caches up on the mountain & a birthday milestone approaching we thought we'd make a weekend of it camping at Lake Catani. This was our first stop as there was a FTF still up for grabs along the trail. In our haste to grab this cache we walked straight past the sign on the gate (planned burn) while we made the quick grab. SL with TheClazzas. Tftc JA.
Seeing it was going to be a nice riding day, BettyBoo3747, HowJen567 and I decided to take the deadly treadlies to Mount Buffalo and have a go at the 9 Mile Spur Trail. Unfortunately, when we arrived the lower half of the trail was closed due to Parks playing with matches. We cornered a Ranger in Dingley Dell, but he couldn't tell us when the trail might reopen.
So we walked the first two and amused ourselves with other MBR caches.
Fortunately we did this cache before we started riding the trail.
Right near GZ there was a large sign on the gate saying the track is closed, and a small map.
It took us a while to decipher the map, and look on the web for when the burn might be.
Stuff all information, but we could see some smoke, so the ride was called off.
We decided to walk the first two as they were out of the burn area.
Thanks, Robmc.

We had planned this caching day on Mt Buffalo with Team BGF for company at the beginning of last week, and during the week more caches were published in this series along Mt Buffalo Road. We were really spoilt for choice! We were staying at Bright and the BGF Team were in Wangaratta area, and we met at Porepunkah to begin our day together. A nice easy pull off for this one, apart from the camper van already pulled into the space. No matter, it was a little way from the search area. Wandering to the gate and beyond in four different directions, when along comes the male occupant of the van. He said ‘are you geocachers?’ And we answered ‘yes’. And then he continued on his way and we quickly found and SL at 5.34pm #5236 TFTC Jamin
#3088 A nice area to pull off the busy thoroughfare. A campervan was parked nearby but far enough from gz not to cause an issue. Took a little while to uncover this one with Harrowang and we even had enquiry from a passing muggle whether we were "geocaches" which provided a chuckle. Found before too long and we were on our way again. TFTC JA.
#14236. Well what do you know? Just had a second visit to Mount Buffalo in a few days. Why you might ask? Chasing FTF's of course. Here I was walking on the golf course with the geo-dogs when Ping,Ping,Ping emails started to come in. Oh no - more caches placed in the MBR series plus a few others.
Raced home and thought about things for a short while, after all I have things to do and I am heading to Melbourne and Tasmania on Thursday - did a cache grab into GSAK, loaded the GPS and off I went to get petrol and away. The slowest drive to Porepunkah in history but what can you do but sit in line and curse under your breath for the whole trip.
A nice few hours and 5 FTF's - left the ones further afield for another time. This was a great spot for a cache - missed the lower turn in and went for the higher turn in and pulled up close to GZ. Again I was making hard work of this - am I losing my geocaching touch. Aaah there you are - a very nicely hidden container. **FTF** and signed the log at 3.35pm and onwards up the Mount I go.
Thanks Jamin Appleford
