We are now camped at Maroochydore Beach Holiday Park for a few days.DayOur plan today was caching along the coastline from Mooloolaba to Coloundra, a couple of ALs included. The beaches looked amazing & so many people about today enjoying the sea side & shopsI enjoyed the Traffic Light series, a few I could do from home using google earth. Thanks for placing this cache spiderwebbs4
We got the numbers wrong the first time, then we got the numbers right Jay was confident that she'd found a place that matched the hint but I was adamant as it didn't look quite wrong. After much soul searching and digging she was correct and I was not!
We had just finished studying the signal box when the skies opened for one of those heavy rainfalls that looks and sounds horrendous but only lasts for two minutes. By the time we had plotted a GZ the sun was back out to guide us on our way. After finding the hide Mrs Woodyrothwell told me that suddenly she had an inkling for a meat pie. I didnt know what had bought this on and asked why the sudden urge. She told me that just seeing the bakery across the street was all that she needed. I turned around and could not spot anything resembling a bakery. All I could see was a sign that said Espresso Ba with the rest of the letters obscured by a tree. Apparently she had seen the Ba and her mind had filled in the rest of the gaps so it was a bakery. Im not sure I want a coffee or bread from an Espresso Bakery. So we walked over where I did grab an espresso and naturally they didnt have any meat pies. We did ask where the closest bakery was for a pie and they directed us down the road to Beefys. tftc
Visited gz 2 days ago on the crazy heat. Took photos and calculated gz in the air conditioning of our holiday rental. Took advantage of cooler weather this morning to make the find. Tftc.
On the way home I decided to grab this cache. At placement I gather the information then I needed to find GZ. The cache was found and sign.spiderwebbs4 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community
Muggle65 and l are trying to build our multi numbers. Thank you for the fun ??
Up from Brisbane for the weekend to share sometime with friends and a few schoolies, I was up early and out on the hunt for caches. After solving this one last night. I found my way quickly to ground zero and quickly spotted the prize. After extracting the log and making my mark, the cache was quickly returned to its hiding place and a little happy dance was performed. Yep one step closer to a challenge cache Im working on.A big thanks for the cache owner making this cache available to be found.
Even being double bags the log is still wet. The original, I think log, was clay-like mush, which I left on the lawn.
Another traffic light cache found.
I got one answer answer wrong- thanks for having a checker. Guessed which number it probably was and tried another answer which the checker liked. Walked over to GZ where I made a quick find. Not sure what was placed in the cache but i think it’s growing but the double bagged log was in good shape.

Multi solved without issue and a quick find at GZ with good coordinates. Although the old log is mush in the container, the newer one is nice and dry. Signed as ‘MB’. Thanks!
Some of these puzzles I have been able to solve online. This one had to be solved in person due to some missing online info. At the posted coords, the traffic box has faded, but thankfully I was aware of some of the colours. Information was gathered and then a short stroll to the final location.
At GZ, I initially looked somewhere and it was mostly covered by mulch and thought it was too obvious. Kept looking unsuccessfully and eventually went back.
Of course it was there, although because of the mulch, it was hard to recognise it as per the hint. Anyway, cache was found and log was signed. TFTC

We didn’t findI Like Traffic Lights Race around Old Woman Is while out and about on a gloomy, rainy spring day.
We poked, we prodded, we lifted and we did not find. ah well, time to move on
Thanks spiderwebbs4 for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves

spiderwebbs4 I found your cache I Like Traffic Lights Race around Old Woman Is on 19/6/2022, 9:50 am. This is my find 3539 and find # 1 today. Processed the information and soon had satisfactory coordinates. Arrived at GZ and had CIH after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Dropped the missus at nearby fitness club before tackling 2 caches. Calculations complete then a quick find at the disappearing stump.
Recent rain has entered the cache container but fortunately the zip lock holding the log book is dry.
Completed paperwork, emptied container.

Out with chamad, E_Smiley, Duppers collecting caches on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
After an early start we made our way north, collecting caches as we went.
After finding the information we needed, we were soon at our final gz where the cache was quickly found.
Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the cache.

A plan was set for today to try to complete as many of the sunshine coast caches as possible with a target of 140 (my target). Todays little group was Willis007, Esmiley, newcomer Duppers and myself. We meet at the arranged meeting point; we worked out where we were going and had a plan for the day. It was a little slow start but once all the formalities were done it was all systems go. The day was a lot of fun, with laughs, the usual banter and some nice walks. The plan changed a little as we went, we got a third of our targets, which I was happy with, as it was a big ask considering the caches were doing. We had a few DNF’s which took up a lot of time, a couple of multis that had us stuck for a checker tick. We were lucky to have Esmiley along who had completed a few of the caches and gave us some insight.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches and some fun hides and to my caching buddies for the day. We signed all logs and replaced containers as we found them.
This was an easy one to do and with the new set of coordinates, we headed over to make a find. Sure enough, there it was though the stump is a little sad these days.
All good with this cache and now it is onto the next one.

With my plans changing at the last minute, I suggested to Patrol14 that we could both take care of that new Field Puzzle Challenge by hitting the Sunshine Coast and concentrating on that attribute… we were pretty successful and managed to stick to the list… mostly…
With stories from the backseat courtesy of Dieter “the muggle” possum we drove up from Brisbane…
This was our first stop, and after a rethink on a number we were off to GZ… unfortunately the cache was waterlogged and the log saturated… we added a temporary log in its own snap lock bag… tftc…

Received a message from Peppa if I was interested in heading up to the Sunshine Coast to find some caches to fulfil our quota needed for a recent Challenge "Field Puzzles in January". I needed about 7 to qualify, so took up the offer.
My muggle friend from Sydney came along for the ride and was almost as big a story teller as I am... Arrived at this one, gathered some numbers, had to make a few adjustments before we got the green light!!
At GZ found the cache with some water ingress, so cleaned up as best we could and added a new logsheet in a baggie.
Beautiful artwork on these Light boxes.

Today, my visiting Adelaide family and I travelled north to see the Sunshine Coast. We started the day at the Eumundi markets, and then drove north-east to Noosa, where we had a walk along the trendy shops and out towards Noosa Spit. It was then a slow southerly drive back making miscellaneous stops at Peregian Beach, Coolum Beach, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. A small highlight was the boardwalk connecting the beach and dunes at Mount Coolum.
Targeting geocaches with the field puzzle attribute in January due to a new Brisbane challenge, I decided to stop and find a few of the *I Like Traffic Lights* multi-caches that seemed to possess this attribute.
This area of town seemed to be rather quiet as we approached Saturday evening. So it was a park quite close to the posted coordinates, and I began to make loops around the signal box whilst going through the questions, counting, counting, counting.
I did struggle through a few questions, namely **A** what bare poles meant (until realising the yachts in question), what multi-hull yachts looked like as per **C**, and what constituted blue sails and green sails as per **E**. I ended up making quite a few checks before the GeoChecker green tick was realised, and it was only then that I better understood the question for **E**.
GZ didn't appear to be too far away, so it was a walk/jog to the cache location. A short look around didn't find anything as per the hint, and so it was only after reading a recent log, that the hinted log was barely existent. Sure enough, the cache was found rather buried. The cache container was in good shape, but unfortunately the logbook was saturated. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. I did enjoy this signal box artwork!

The rotten stump is nearly gone there is still parts there you got to dig around if you are in the right area. I should of got this one yesterday. Checked figures etc and thought I would grab this one today on my way back to the motel
Out for a quick tour on the bike. Some ALs to do and some caches to find.
Once again the wording of the questions left some doubt as to the correct answers. Half a buoy was not helping.
My first set of numbers looked possible. so off I went. An uncovered, brightly coloured container made it an easy find.

Saturday. Mr SP was feeling better after a spot of something to eat at the last cache and was on fire when spotting this cache. We gathered the info and had a likely looking spot. Whilst I was faffing around, Mr SP made the call (with the use of the good hint) that he spotted the container. Good spot here.
This was the 5th of 11 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***spiderwebbs4*** for showing us this place

Bee2 was having a massage not far away so I had a look for this one. The council mower men were out in force to looked between laps. It took me a bit to locate the hide. tftc
Solved the coordinates and got the green tick on second attempt. Lovely little park and views. Tftc
After about 3 visits, the checker still won't agree with me. Some of the objects on the box I still can't tell apart, namely the difference between multihull and single hull.
Took us a few turns to get all the clues right. Needed to read the instructions more clearly then got the right answer! A quick walk and an easy cache to find. TFTC
Nice and quiet around the traffic box this morning. I didn’t get the green tick on my first observance of the features on the box and after another look and calculation it was success! Off to GZ where the cache was found with the hint. Left TB. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the puzzle and the cache.
Another day out caching in this beautiful part of the sunny coast with hatzofff, RoddyC, E_Smiley and grannysmith1947.
I think we need to go back to little school as we all counted things wrong but got there in the end, neat hide.

Unsure of my twin hulls but realised the error of my observations and corrected my calculations to get a green tick. Quick walk in the rain to the park. A rotten stump indeed but all good here TFTC
Logging this one a bit late, but better late than never. Following the caching drought from when Covid was in full swing, it's taken me ages to get back into the saddle again. So I decided to be a bit more proactive and just have a crack at any cache if I happened to be passing by the location, rather than wait for a big half-day or full-day outing.
My strategy only lasted for two caches, and they both happened to be spiderwebbs4 caches in Mooloolaba! This was a quick park, a not-so-quick solve (kept making a couple of rookie errors), and a quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache!

Out on a windy maintenance run today - stopped here to dry out the container and replace log. Found the cache quite deeper down than I remember leaving it and it was quite filthy so cleaned it up a bit and replaced the soggy swaps & logbook. Hopefully it stays drier in future.
Happy hunting!!
Happy hunting!!
Out and about very wet today but it’s always a good day to find a cache the paper is about as wet as us today but hopefully the ink won’t run to much TFTC
A pleasant wintry morning was spent up the coast doing a paddle in the Maroochy River, so to maximise the fun a few caches were collected along the way.
This was a fun solve, some of the traffic light ones have been harder/vaguer than others but this one was a pleasure, very straightforward.
Unfortunately the container isn't very waterproof so the log book is a bit on the soggy/mouldy side. Found a space that would accept ink ok though. Retrieved the TB to move along.

Carrying on from the last one we headed for one more on our walk this morning. Cache quickly found. Inside of cache quite damp but log fine to write on. May need some TLC. All good here, TFTC!
Swang past this one today, and picked up all of the information. Sat down and had a bite to eat whilst I figured out the clues. Okay, first attempt did not make the checker happy. Back to GZ to double check the clues. Okay, that is better, green light to go find it.
Off for a short walk, and then a quick grab whilst no muggles about.
Cache has been wet recently and the log is damp. Able to be signed, but may need some drying out.
Otherwise, a good little exercise today. Thanks to CO for this one!!

Smallwombat has bought me out again for a little hunting trip. This one we solved ages ago, but could not find. Today, easy as. Just scratch away. Tftc
Rolling past here with some updated information soon had me at gz. Although the log managed to stay mostly dry, cache was full of water and probably not waterproof. Sat in the sun ten minutes to give everything a sundry, and a chance to log the few caches I've actually found today.

It is StreetWalkerNZ and my last full day on the Sunshine Coast before heading back to Christchurch tomorrow (hopefully the airport lock down after the shootings will be over by then), so this morning we headed north to Mooloolaba for a spot of caching.
Time to head back for lunch but stopped by for one more traffic light cache. A quick find by SW. Swapped TBs. Thanks for all your caches today spiderswebb54. TFTC.

#16807. It was getting on towards lunch time and the heat was starting to get to us. Thankfully there was a bit if shade at GZ and we made a quick find. TFTC.
On the way to Kawana waters we popped in for a quick pic to get the required info. After the bbq dinner by the pool side an unlikely set kf co-ords appeared .... someones backyard pool, dont think so. Reworked, someones elses backyard pool. Played with a few numbers and the checker liked what I had. It would appear as though that the colours have faded a bit on this signal box but still came out with the desired result, a smiley and the last step in a challenge cache quest we are on to complete of Angloj’s ‘Know Your Local Cacher’ up in Toowoomba. Unfortunatley we didn’t have anymore time here to find more caches in the area, with only two days to complete the mission it had to be a targeted assault. With an impending move interstate it may be awhile before we return to this beautiful piece of Australia. TNLTBSL TFTC spiderwebbs TB drop
Took a little bit of playing around to get the numbers. Found the cache quickly thanks to the hint - I love a good spoonerism in the morning! Took the TB.

I had a day off work today so decided to grab a couple of caches.
This cache produced a couple of errors in my counting however I eventually got the checker to give me a green success page.
Once a GZ the cache was soon found.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

While camping in Landsborough for a few days with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and try finding a few caches ...
Since I don't have access to the internet when I'm away from home, the geochecker was useless, a checksum would have been of more use.
Soon realised where I went wrong with the answers and the hunt was on.

Out today dodging the rain showers to get a few more Traffic Lights smilies. Wow this one took ages to get the correct co-ordinates as we counted a half of an orange buoy as a whole buoy.... Found the hide fairly quickly. TNLNSL TFTC
Stortigirls and I were attempting to find five cache types in a day whilst visiting the Sunshine Coast. We gathered the information for this one, but didn't get the green light from the checker. A slight adjustment and we received the green tick. Off to find the final. It was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Out with Selva Girls in the area again today, we came to collect yet another traffic lights cache. Numbers were collected and got the tick after a minor adjustment, and after a short stroll we had the cache in hand. Tftc spiderwebbs4

Tuesday Travels with bb and Rio. We are on a mission today, to collect some solved puzzle caches, to like some traffic lights and have a lovely walk around the wilds of Mooloolaba. Not to mention a bit of drive - we're not sure yet where we'll go, LOL!
Having had some lunch, we were ready and raring to go for our next I Like Traffic Lights cache. Thank you for placing the handy seat nearby for us to sit on while we worked out our coordinates We had a suspicion as to where the GZ was for this one and we picked the right spot to park bb and I seem to be a magnet for council muggles, who decided that they just had to do a little bit of work NEXT TO GZ as we walked up. Luckily they didn't take too long to move out of the way and bb snuck over and grabbed the cache. The log was signed and the cache replaced before anyone was the wiser! TFTC spiderwebbs4

*FTF* @ 7.25pm. A bit dark now.
Arrived at GZ and time to get the info I need.
One question had to scratching my head but soon I figured it out.
First I got one of the major numbers wrong and took me for a detour.
It ended up near water but a long way to drive and walk.
That must be that other number.
That's better.
Headed to GZ.
Climbed out of the geomobile and headed in.
I walked past a tree and startled a bird. It flew off and startled me like a gazelle ready to flee.
Plucked up my courage and headed on.
My torch picked out what I was looking for and signed the blank log with torch under my chin on the front blank page.
As I was wandering out I saw the silhouette of a yacht in the canal nearby.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks spiderwebbs4 All good with this cache and multi Back for the others sometime soon
