You just have to love a south east Queensland winter, whilst the mornings can be cool the days are often bright and pleasing and a trip out into the nearby country side to hint caches is a lovely way to spend a morning.

After finding an appropriate spot to park the geowagon, I walked over to collect the prize. It was soon found, log extracted and signature added before returning safely for the next cacher to find.

Very pleased to be able to turn this cache into a yellow smilie and off of search of my next adventure.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Cheers

I feel like there must be about 20 entrances to this conservation park and perhaps there’s a cache at every one? I luckily chose the right spot to start my search as my gps was of no help here. It took a few minutes of searching before I found it neatly hidden. Thanks Waz and Vik

Reverted to just looking everywhere as a GPS had me going all over the place in this location. Finally found it neatly tucked away with the log very tightly coiled in its container. Pulled out the trusty tweezers to sign the log. All good. TFTC

Took a while to locate this, but finally got there.

Our last day in Caboolture today. Had a few other things to do as well so satisfied ourselves with an Ad Lab and a dew traditionals on the way.
Set ourselves up with a tree fishing pole as there were a few Ad Lab bonuses that required this. Hadn't been able to do them when we did the actual Labs.
A lovely day!

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Waz and Vik.

Tallow Lane runs between Cheesemongers Yard and Endless Street Not to be confused with Tallow Street, which links the Buttermarket to Whopping Street and is some distance away. There is no obvious connection between the two save for the name.

We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today we ventured out to the AC trail, a lot of research was involved to work out the puzzles.
We left the camp in overcast conditions started with a couple on the railtrail before starting AC.
This could have been a very tricky, we used a box to stand on so that we could examine the area closely.
FP given.
Thankyou Waz and Vik for placing this cache.

After some GPS bounce on the phone and a bit of thinking “where would I hide a micro?”, GZ was settled upon. Even then, it took an all-over look to reveal the container (thanks, 11-yo son)
After a bit of a struggle I managed to extract the log and add my signature to the list of happy finders.
Thanks for placing this cache here. I would never have ventured to this neck of the woods otherwise.

Should have shown more trust in the GPS because it would have saved us heaps of time looking in all the wrong spots.
Mrs W&K made this find.
A sneaky hide. I hope that it remains muggle free for a long time to come.

Well I’m a numb nuts... just a guy taking a boy look. We missed it first up , but on a secondary look TGG saw it yeah

16-Aug-20
Talk about cache blind. Must have all but touched it twice. Cant even blame the boy look cos it was a girl look. Cache is in excellent condition. TFTH

13-Aug-20
Was unable to find it. My partner and i ended up having a look at night time but didn’t have any luck. I ended up having a look at the comments and were looking up high.
I thought i could see something white in the tree but seemed to high up and would have to climb the tree so we will be back in daylight to see if my inkling was right.

12-Aug-20
I couldn’t stretch, so I climbed... I spent more time getting the log out a second time as I thought I’d pushed it too farinto the container... lucky I have tweezers...

I appreciate a Co who maintains their caches so well...

No find cache or tether sad face. Tftc

04-Aug-20
Today after work I decided to stay in the area and designate the rest of the day for caching. I saw that their was a new AL series nearby so I decided to get started on that and grab any other caches as I travelled to complete that. My morning started in Morayfield and I made my way through Upper Caboolture and ended up in Rocksberg. I've never ventured out this way before, so it was great to come to a new place and enjoy the scenery.

I looked everywhere for this cache, but I couldn't locate anything. Ohhh what's this? I located what seemed to be a tether for the cache possibly, so after contacting the CO I was informed it is the tether for the cache, but the cache is nowhere to be found. The CO has given me permission to log a find.

Find #1153 - TFTC

04-Aug-20
Oh dear a cacher contacted me showing only the tether so went out to replace it. As it has been muggled a couple of times we have placed it a little higher but if you're ave height you will need just a little stretch

Having spent the day in Toowoomba with PPrime and Crew153 and surpassing our goal of 100 caches for the day, Fangsoki and I decided to up the score and continue caching on our return home.
We added a few of this series to the day’s hunting in the wet weather. Fangsoki has his hands on this one quite quickly while my phone had a serious bounce.
Thanks for the cache Waz and Vik.

11-Jan-20
Gentle cache owner, please forgive my generic log Twisted

Pprime, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and I undertook to get a large amount of caches in one day. We did this in the the Toowoomba region - starting with Brother Colin's SSE series. After returning to Brisbane, 1MinnieMoo and I continued to find caches until late.

We enjoyed all the caches and appreciate the effort of creating and maintaining the various finds we made. TFTC Smile

I was caching in the area today and decided that Danny and Dolly should be top of the list, since these two green dots had been staring at me from the map for quite some time. I walked in to gz with my youngest daughter and we made a quick find here. Glad to have a smilie here at last. Tftc Waz and Vik!

I've taken the week off as the the geomonsters are on school holidays. Fortunately Sandra had booked them into vacation care for the day, so it was either do some work in the peace and quiet or go out caching.

It took me a few minutes to get my caching eye in with this one, but soon had it found and the log signed.

Onwards...

Thanks!!

After completing the nearby Agatha Christie series, we came for a drive to this beautiful area. We had no idea it existed so we’re happy to be brought to this beautiful reserve.
We assessed a couple of options as to where this hide maybe, and then went in for a look. After a couple of minutes we had what we were looking for and signed the log.
Thanks for another one today Waz and Vik.

Decided to get the kids out of the house today as they were bouncing off the walls. The husband comes riding out here and we have talked about doing these caches door a long time. Finally the day has come!
Our 4th and final cache of the day....
The kids were in full complaining mode now. They were running on empty especially the 4 year old which was just walking and whining the whole time. Not even the promise of a slurpee was helping. As we came closer to the cache we came to a beautiful bridge and seat. The kids and hubby sat down to rest their legs which were about to fall off. I walked up the rest of the way and began the search. I walked straight over and must have been blind as I looked over and over for what seemed like forever until I saw it right in front of my face. Signed the log and returned it just as the hubby and kids were walking up to find me. Now for the mission walk back to the car and what will be our final stop at a 7eleven on the way home! TFTC

Got here and there was a car parked basically at GZ. Do I stop and look or not? Okay, I am here, I can pretend to read the signs and not look suspicious...
Okay, I had been here before with no luck, so looked a little harder and then it came to me.
Cache is in good condition. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here!

We enjoyed exploring the trails of the reserve. Almost had the place to ourselves. We picked where it was but still finding it was another thing. Clever hide and a fun one for our 1700 cache find. TFTC

01-Oct-18
T-Tech and I headed up to Caboolture to collect a new multi, then we tripped around a bit grabbing the caches that have appeared since my last visit.

We had the place to ourselves at first and zeroed in on the cache for a quick find. Then a car and horse trailer turned up and began to unload so we made a stealthy job of replacing the container. TFTC, Waz and Vik.

After a Pokémon raid, nyssaflutterby decided to kidnap me a little longer, time enough to fit in two cache finds!
I’ve ridden out here before via the road and then back through the tracks.
We wandered around a bit before locating the cache in the obvious spot!

Out and about with wombles and I just didn't want to stop the fun we were having so suggested a cache find. Which was good as she was in need of a smiley today. This was the closest to us that we both hadn't found.

At GZ we poked about the obvious place but then moved a little further away. Soon enough though we were back where we started and I spied the beasty immediately. Not sure how I missed it the first time Red Face

Thanks for the cache Waz and Vik Big Grin

Out with the CO and the last cache of the day was going to be this one. Rocked up at GZ and a car pulled beside us and a family was out in the street riding. So I declared I was going to log with the CO’s permission as not to compromise. Seeing as I was driving the CO had no choice to agree. Thanks mum!

Mr 4ando suggested a cache find this afternoon and I thought absolutely what’s a better way to kick off the weekend than find a cache! Seems it isn’t the weekend yet, it’s only Thursday not Friday. Why is this week taking so long…we know why, school holidays. Trying to fit in the muggle teens social life around work is making the week go incredibly slow, especially last night when the houseful we had decided 4am was a good time to go to bed!

It may only be Thursday but we are going for a nice drive to grab a cache anyway, the weather at this time of the year is just too awesome to pass up on. Arriving at GZ we were searching for a while and coming up with nothing, is it lack of sleep or cache blindness? After a while we tried a different approach and came out with a gold medal. We added our name and were returning home with the lovely thought just our kids home tonight, should be a lot quieter

Joint {FTF} with Team Benders, this was a sneaky little blight and we knew we were in the exact spot it had to be but nothing except a few slimey snails were jumping out at first.. a few more circles around and it was found. We were approached by some archery guys warning not to go into the bush or past the fencelines during our search which we stayed to the edge but they just wanted us to know the dangers of entering an archery range..so there's a bit of a hint ..it not in the bush. Cheers for the Cache

25-Mar-18
Joint *FTF* with johnwillem who drew this cache out in the draw at the Event.
Arrived at GZ and after hunting about, we were approached by the local Archery Club so don't go beyond the fence or past the archery range sign when searching for this cache.
The cache was located and the log signed. Returned to where we found it.
