I've done a temporary replacement fix on this one.
The surroundings of the original hide have changed, and I'll be doing a rethink of a more suitable container.
In the meantime, it's good to go.

#8016 (1 of 2 today)
And there I was deciding where to grab a cache or two today when I get a message telling me that a cache I'd previously DNFed had been replaced.
Sounds like a plan. And I can have another try at another DNFed multi closeby.
Day's plan sorted!
Got both caches without too much trouble. Bargain!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here is the replaced multi - first stop today.
The advantage with redoing a multi is that you already have GZ, so it sort of becomes a traditional.
Parked further away than I needed to and walked to my calculated coordinates.
Took a few minutes of checking but then got the right angle and spotted it. Made the grab and completed signing duties. Then replaced.
Good start, and even some unloved days - not that I really need them.
Now off to my other DNF nearby.

Just after a few finds today to keep the numbers ticking over - and get a decent number of finds in April for only the second time.
Thought I'd target the multis around Neutral Bay / Mosman as I'm after more for the stats.
Didn't start well with two DNFs, but it improved from there. Got three in the end, and then had diabolical traffic all the way home.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well some time ago I DNFed the original of this one. So why should the remix be any different? And it wasn't.
Collected all the info - found one of the clues difficult but I got the OK from the checker. Then off to GZ.
Checked the three most likely hint objects within 10 metres but found nothing. Finally gave it up as I always feel creeped out in locations like this - are invisible eyes watching me from the windows?
Walked to the next one.

Found the right coordinates but with a lot of detritus (trimmed branches) piked around GZ, a good inspection for cache was not viable.
Fairly sure I found the previous iteration of this one, but after grabbing the required details a couple of days ago, MrSmith00 and I ducked past this morning to make the find.

Tftc, picked up Azzepious for a day of games and celebrations. He needed a cache for his streak. He has solved this one earlier so it was a quick find.
TFTC from the Kayakviking,
a pre-covid find of the clues and I had a very quick look to no avail. Today was wandering past and had a nothing squiz and a relatively easy find - not quite what or where I was expecting to find it. But all good. Cheers KV

I love little parks like these. They make me remember that the city wasn’t always planned out by property developers trying to rationalise out every square foot of land.
Its not often that im over in this area of town so i spent a couple of minutes admiring the spectacular view from the lookout at middle earth
After gathering the coords i headed to the GZ and was able to make a quick find in the second spot i checked.
Thanks.

Having travelled from Middle Earth (otherwise known as the home of my leader ScoMo), this little hobbit made a find at GZ. It took awhile as I was expecting a different kind of cache. But with my trusty TOTT in MaxAdventurer, I was able to sign the log and head back home. My last find on a good day out on the North side. TFTC
Nice day of caching with Chippyddd keeping in line with COVID-19 social distancing rules. Cache and logbook are dry. SL TFTC TFTH Replaced cache as found ready for the next adventurer. Thanks and cache on
Found ICW Mystic Seer who did the number crunching / finding. TFTC TFTH SL TNLN.

In view of the easing of some Covid-19 movement restrictions, I'm re-enabling this geocache.
We have, however, been asked to continue vigilance, social distancing and sensible hygiene practices.
We have, however, been asked to continue vigilance, social distancing and sensible hygiene practices.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, The Australian and NSW Governments require all of us to stay at home unless we are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
Many of us have continued hunting geocaches – justifying this as exercise – and telling ourselves we're doing it responsibly by avoiding high urban traffic areas, practicing social distancing and hygiene etc. Some others are possibly less careful.
As a Cache Owner, I feel duty bound to follow the lead of wiser heads (wise guys?) and lessen the temptation to break curfew, so to speak. To that end, I'm now temporarily disabling all my hides. Please don't try to log them.
Hopefully, if we all do our bit for our collective well-being, our community will make it through this difficult time.
Let's stay home and work on solving some of the pesky puzzles we've been avoiding tackling. Or maybe get creative with ideas for future hides. And of course we can still geo-chat on social media.
Be safe – and keep smiling!

No idea how I managed to miss this last time. After solving and running out of time, coming back on a cruisey Sunday I immediately had CIH. tftc
Out for another evening walk this time from Mosman Bay to Milsons Pt collecting a couple of unfound cache on the way. Quite surprised this one hasn’t been found in six months. What a lovely little park and good fun locating the required info. At the GZ it was getting dark, people were about and past logs didn’t give me confidence, but thankfully I landed on the cache first place I looked. Really not that difficult. Container in great condition, log a little torn but ok. Thanks for placing this cache AussiePam #911
Got to the final location after a few goes at the coords, ran out of time before revealing the cache, I'll be back
My last cache of the morning whilst out doing some geo riding. A nice story and good views. I had to ponder a bit at GZ, but finally spotted the cache which blends in nicely with its surrounds. Thanks!
It fell onto leaves so good camo but I moved it higher up. And great view from middle earth!
Last cache I needed to find in this part of town to fill it up with smiley faces
Coords were found with the great view included (although at night i had to make a guess and what was actually on the horizon, hehe)
Gz was trickier. With three elements similar to the hint it took me quite a while to spot it

Returned after a previous attempt, which had the prize muggled. For a quick park and grab

I love walking around this area. There are lots of little pathways and stairways between streets. Also there are some good views to the west of a growing CBD, and from some vantage points a decent view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I had done the preliminary work for this multi a while ago, and I was saving it for an occasion like today, when I would be traveling, with little time for caching. So I headed straight to GZ and found the cache immediately.
Thanks AussiePam for maintaining the cache.

Sadly, this one got muggled. I've replaced the cache, but with a different kind of container, and bit higher up.

I walked up to WP1 and gathered the required details before heading up to WP2 (luckily pretty obvious where this was, despite not being formalised). I was a bit unsure of which house number was being referred to, but took a punt. The co-ordinates I generated weren't right, which made me realise that I had written down one of the details at the bottom incorrectly, arggh. _Then_ I had workable co-ordinates. Once there it didn't take too long to find the container - TNLNSL, TFTC

Managed to confuse myself badly due to not reading the cache listing properly, resulting in a double trip up the stairs -- once the information was found and GeoChecker confirmed, searching GZ took longer than I'd hoped but like a previous finder, the cache eventually "jumped out" at me. SL, another great location for a cache with amazing views of the habour. TFTC AussiePam!
I think we made this way harder than it actually was. I think the lamp is dark green rather than black, but then again I might be wrong. Eventually we managed to punch in the right numbers to the checker and we were off. The final cache stumped for a bit but we eventually spied it. Thanks for the cache.
Well what an ordeal to find a cache only 3.1km from home!
I was beginning to think the caching gods had aligned to stop my streak, but ha ha I found it in the end. The streak continues!
I couldn't make up my mind where to go for today's cache but after much deliberation decided on this multi as it was close to home and should be quick.
The drive over was slower than expected but I ended up finding parking for the geomobile near WP1, walked over and collected the info, then I hiked up the stairs to WP2. They are layed at a very strange angle, weird to walk on. F & H were easy enough to solve. What an interesting angle to view the city and watch the trains coming over the bridge and into Milson's Point Station.
I couldn't see any black lamp so wasn't sure which numbers I needed for G. I don't have an iphone so I couldn't use the checker anyway so I just selected a pair of numbers and punched it all into the GPS, and began the short walk to GZ. As I walked I pondered the matter and decided it would be quicker to go home and use the checker where I could try all my sets of numbers and come back.
Off I went. Well on the way I saw the result of a single vehicle accident on Falcon Street that had just happened - the most bizarre thing I have ever seen! Slow traffic but well.......
Back home I found a set of numbers the checker liked and jumped back into the geomobile and headed off to GZ, not where I was going the first time anyway.
I didn't think, by the time I got back to Falcon Street the emergency services had arrived and spread themselves all over the road - reallllly slow traffic. 30 minutes later I'd made the remaining 1km to GZ.
Then the search began...... another 30 minutes later and I finally spotted it!
Signed the log and jumped back in the geomobile to navigate the traffic back home. Unfortunately I had to pass the accident again as there's no other way.
The whole thing took nearly 3 hours - I could have walked there and back quicker!
And to think I've gotta drive that way again this arvo. Grrr

Another day at work and another AussiePam cache. Doing the leap frog challenge is getting quite tricky on a work day as the availability of non-traditional caches is getting more sparse. As it was, I had to catch an extra early train to Milson's Point and do a powerwalk to GZ. Luckily I had already done my homework here a few weeks ago and knew exactly where to look. Or so I thought. It's amazing how a bit of time pressure can really throw the cat amongst the pigeons. For the life of me I could not see it even though I had found it before. For a moment I thought maybe the CO had relocated it with the recent cache check and I was really starting to get worried. Then after a deep breath - there it was, as if appearing out of thin air. It totally lived up to its name and I'm very relieved to get the smiley here. Then had to high tail it out of there, to catch the train and make it to work on time (almost).

We are happy to be able to log this one as found. We climbed and decended hills on a hot summer day to try and find the original only to be disappointed. Had to retrace our steps today on a blustery day and almost gave up at GZ due to time constraints. The GPS indicated we should be searching in a neighbouring property for som reason. Then geosense prevailed and we made the find. TFTC.

Found on an afternoon trip over the Spit Bridge to Curraghbeena Point & Neutral Bay, for a couple of new AussiePam Multi-Caches. This was the 2nd of 2 finds for the afternoon.
After finding "Industry and Art - A Whale of a Tale" we next arrived at this one. Decided to park the geomobile at WP2 (Phillips Street) for convenience, then walked down the stairs to the nice little shaded playground and WP1.
This location (top & bottom) is very familiar to us having had three visits for the previous "Traditional" version of this cache (it had been muggled for our first two visits). Quickly gathered the required WP1 info, then it was back up the stairs for WP2 where the remaining data was gleaned.
And with the GPSr loaded up it was off to final GZ where the cache container was soon spotted and the log signed. Thanks for another visit to this nice spot AussiePam, and thanks for another smiley to go with it.

AussiePam Day - Part 2.
Made our way to Undercliff and noted down the numbers needed. We then made our way to Middle Earth where a muggle who was walking his dog. He eventually left and we collected the rest of the required information.
Back down to Undercliff as we made our way to GZ. I was so happy to have spotted the cache so quickly, as it was hot and I was getting tired.
Thanks for the fun day AussiePam

Time for frazeydaze and I to tackle the latest batch of AussiePam caches, five traditionals, four multi's and one mystery. The day kicked off with breakfast at The Boathouse restaurant before making a start on the caches. Another multi in an area we were familiar with as we had previously found the former cache in this area. After parking near where we had to collect the information we soon had a GZ which was within walking distance. At GZ it was frazeydaze who quickly spied the loot and completed the signing duties. TFTC AussiePam.
I found the original mix of Myth & Magic. Today I came back for the Remix. Still enjoyed the awesome views on a stunning Autumn afternoon. TFTC AussiePam
On a multi hunt for extra points, I had trouble here with words like product. The find was tricky too.

A beautifully scenic ferry hide took myself and my Mum close to WP1.
I remember visiting this park when the original cache was placed here.
I made quick work of collecting the info whilst my Mum enjoyed the view.
Off to GZ after receiving the green tick.
Another lovely skyline view from here.
A lengthy search revealed no cache though, a PAF confirmed I was in the right spot, looking for the right thing but still nothing.
These hides are often tricky so I’ll keep a watch and return soon

Was enjoying a day off and planning a day of caching tomorrow when I checked emails. I was already 30mins behind the pack for this one but this latest Aussie Pam cache wasn't too far away, in fact a familiar park she had some us visit in the past. Arrived to see a face I recognised from other local cache logs. Rodney 1210! We teamed up, walked through the instructions and came up with a GZ that the Geochecker liked. Ok, makes sense. Arrived and took longer than expected to find what we had already guessed would be the type and location of the cache. Found as the sun was setting through the branches of trees, stinging the eyes but providing a vista that reflected the Magic and Myth of this beautiful afternoon and location. Great to meet you Rodney and look forward to the next time. Aussie Pam, the ball is in your court

I was in Dee Why on the way home when this one popped up in the emails. Needing a find for the day, and seeing that I got FTF on the first version of this cache, there was no way I was going to let this one go! Fought the traffic up the spit and arrived to find GZ vacant. I had just stepped out of the car when a scooter pulls up and the rider asks, "Have you found it yet?" It was Morty8888! We teamed up and after a little confusion with the puzzle, we got the green from the checker. At GZ, we struggled a bit to come up with the find. I'll admit, these types hides are difficult for and always have me slapping my head for how in plain sight they are. This was no exception. Uncovered a nice blank log and left my mark with Mortys. It was great to finally meet you Morty8888! FTF# 21 Cache# 801 TFTC
