Found this heavy duty cache while taking a walk along the river bank. Lovely spot. Stamped log and replaced.Tftc

17-Oct-24
Found by Mary and David at 09:35. A FP for this hide. We guessed which box car would be our target. Even so, we approached GZ with some trepidation, as we have had mixed results on mechanical items. We were lucky, though, and D spotted it quite quickly. Despite all the rain last night, the cache remains snug and dry. Our thanks to froghoppin.

Ahh a long weekend caching in South Australia with the Gong Gangsters is way too good an opportunity to pass up. With dates set and leave passes granted we managed a 4-day caching spree - targeting the On ya bike series. The variety of finds was wide and diverse, we travelled with our own totts. Our finds are logged with our Gangster stamp or GG on the smaller logs. Thanks to all the COs who provided us with a great weekend, filled with laughter, banter and much more that cant be said. Thanks to my fellow caching buddies - steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert.TFTC

22-Aug-24
Found with The Rats, Hoojar and Wilbert67. Another big trip some time in the making to get some good numbers. Plenty of solving and working out final coordinates, packing lists and arranging transport from New South Wales to some of the mallee country of South Australia. As always plenty of laughs and great company. As always a variety of types and hides.Unless otherwise flagged cache found all ok. Thanks for placing these series.TFTC!

22-Aug-24
The temptation of finding nearly 1,000 caches on a road trip in South Australia was proving all too tempting. So a date was set, flights were booked, and a car was hired. The Rats, Steeba, Wilbert67 and I were off to tackle the On Ya Bike series, and surrounding caches. Cache logs were either stamped, or signed GG (Gong Gangsters). We covered a great many kilometres, finding caches and enjoying the scenery. We camped under the stars. We enjoyed cold weather, rain and a winter heat wave. We cached in the dark. We cached in the light. We found some ordinary caches, and some brilliant ones.As is so often the case with our trips, the banter was constant, the jeering persistent, and the company excellent. Mind you, it is a lot easier to listen to Rugby League on the radio in the great State of New South Wales! This boiler-plate log does not take anything away from some of the excellent caches that we found, and I am appreciative of all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining all of these hides. We all ticked over mini Milestones during this trip, but notably I found my 20,000th cache. A Milestone I am very happy to have shared with my mates; mates that I have found thousands of caches with previously. Heres to many more caching adventures!Cheers

After a short time of searching we found our treasure TFTC froghoppinKeep smiling

Find # 14594Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 1 home to Murray Bridge.Found while doing some ad labs in the area. Thankfully a previous log helped with locating this cache. TFTC froghoppin

Walking up to this one and I started recalling others on these, this could be anywhere. I immediately started thinking of the last one in the NTA Trail, and whilst ozmilo went under I checked out a certain cachers image. Its got to be in this area, and with a new sense of where the hide might be it was found quickly. ?? Ring ring ?? I have been here before, and not found the cache. About a year then passed. I visited again, and not found the cache. Another year or more passed. The train went. The carriages remained. The cache was reinstated. I visited this morning for a quick find before the event. I dont know who I was kidding, but this was never going to happen, with GZ in the middle of bitumen and me looking in the nearest carriage from there.I attended the event. I then did some work out at the family home and then back to Sturt Reserve for some maintenance. It was not going to beat me.I have been here before, not that long ago, and this time I crawled the length of it, under looking up in all crannies a cache could be hiding. Nothing. I phoned a friend, he said, I will be there in 2 minutes. Try looking on the *** coloured one. Ok, I will. I still had not found it by the time friend arrived. He said, try in this vicinity, and in the end my hands did find said item. Nice construction, cache in good condition, just it was around 22.56m from GZ. Never mind, great to finally turn the frowny into a smiley. Thanks for the cache froghoppin, all good here. Find #9603 at 5.03pm

A very hot visit here today. Wasnt sure we would be able to find this one, but thankfully we spotted it! .Day 7 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Traveling today with GLISS! Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip has been to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. A hot dry trip this time around. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.

28-Feb-24
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed East this morning to head out as far as Peake before turning around and working our way back to Murray Bridge via Sherlock.
It was a fairly pleasant day, a little drizzle at times but mostly fine.
We enjoyed seeing these old towns and finding the caches along the roads and in the bushland.
Thanks to froghoppin for this hide, we looked for a while then spotted it.

Along with our travelling and caching companions the Suscoes we made an early start from Bordertown and set out for Murray Bridge. Of course there were many stops to stretch our legs and look for caches!
After booking in to our accommodation, we enjoyed an afternoon of caching not too far from homebase. Fun & frustration, it was Mr S who came up with the goods here.

Thanks to froghoppin for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Thought the day would never come but area renovations, floods and then repairs to Wharf have finally been completed and cache was returned today ready for new adventurers

30-Apr-23
Well we must be close now, the local council are now using GZ to stack all their safety barriers and bollards, we see this as a positive sign the area will soon be clear to reenable this one

12-Mar-23
Some areas have opened up but cache area is near a closed off area, still waiting assessment of trees and damage to nearby wharf at this point before area opened to public

28-Feb-23
With water levels receding we just need to wait for the council clean up and then can finally get this one back on line, will keep an eye out, thanks for your patience

20-Jan-23
Visited on the weekend, flood peak has gone through only just, river levels are still very high with water inundating cache area with this area cordoned off until safe, cache is not at location but removed why the flood event is happening will return when safe to bring back on line.

25-Nov-22
Placing cache back today was again put on the back peddle, area roped off and protection work for rising flood waters now in place, will need to now wait till after flooding event has passed

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

I have joined forces with TeamAstro to attend the Wangaratta Mega.
Today’s journey took us from Murray Bridge to Adelaide.

I stepped aboard the geo-express for a geocache

Found & logged using Cachly for iOS

15-Jan-22
Headed down to the Murray Bridge area today for my first full day of caching for far too long. The primary aim was the new geoart Ice-cream series with the secondary target being the recent River Views AdLab. As both were by the same CO decided to concentrate on her other caches in the time that was left. Ended up finding 6 caches by other COs and 42 Big Grin by Ghosty7.
Was nearby working on the AdLab and realized that there was a nearby cache that I'd previously DNF'd so thought I better have another look. Must have had the right glasses on as this time the good co-ords helped me find a very nice cache.
Thanks to froghoppin for placing this cache for us all to find
