Reperio 08:31Day 2 of my little escapade towards Albury for the weekend, and after spending the night at the Henry Angel Flat campground in Tumbarumba, it was up early to tackle the remaining caches along the Hume and Hovell Walking Track. Unlike yesterdays walk on the other side of the road, I missed finding a few of these ones. All up though, it was fantastic to get out and see more of this iconic trail.Gratias The CiscokidsAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
The last one on the trail today for us. It has been absolutely spectacular and were looking forward to a rest.We found this one where it should be, however with no lid on it, but the lid was nearby and so we have replaced it as it should be. Such a beautiful creek to be walking next to for our walk today. Thanks for this awesome series The Ciscokids Domsky
Find#5682Nice hiding place What nice weekend for a road trip to Wagga Wagga and surrounds Thanks for the cache
Middle geokid wanted to go camping this weekend, and with the weather looking good we finally made the decision to head up to Tumbarumba for the night camping at Henry Angel Flats (Hume & Hovel walking track) I have camped here before passing through and had completed the northern set of caches, we were keen to complete the southern this time plus the new ones added to the northern side.
Finally arrived at the camp site, around 1pm. Didn't set anything up yet grabbed our backpacks and headed straight for this walk. First one here, lots of potential hiding spot, eventually we tracked it down. TFTC!

After a hard day in Rutherglen which ended in a walk up the Rock near Wagga. Today The Green Geckos & I stopped briefly for a gnome visit & now we have come for a fabulous walk along the Hume & Hovell track. The waterfalls are fabulous & the morning was great for a walk. All caches found in good condition.
Muggle65 and l are on our way home from the Rutherglen Mega. We spent 2 hours in Rutherglen then moved on to prettier places. Thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful walk. Thank you for bringing us here
Out with CharisMaree and geobaby. Im leaving swag along the trail walking to number 15 today tftc
Out for a bushwalk with BellaHappyChappy, had fun climbing around the trees but last hollow had the cache. Tftc!
Day 9 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives and explore some of the newer virtual and earth caches since my last visit. It was then time to continue the journey south towards the Snowy Mountains.
After an overnight stay in Tumut, our destination for today was Thredbo, although we would be taking a round-about route to get there so I could gather up some must do caches on my target list, including this one.
Wow what a fantastic area this is. Just the sort of place that geocaching brings me to that otherwise I would never have visited. While my wife stayed at the car, I headed down to look for this cache. The creek was flowing strongly and although some of the track was a little damp, the walk to GZ was most enjoyable and not at all difficult. After a short search the cache was located safe and well. I was rather disappointed that our itinerary for the day did not allow further exploration, but this trip was also to identify places to spend more time at on future travels. I will definitely come back to hike a good part of this trail when I can. Just the type of area I like exploring. TFTC

The Hume and Hovell Track is on our hiking bucket list, so just add geocaches and it's like bees to a honey pot !!! It's certainly a well marked and maintained track, will be good when it's all officially reopened. Well, it was time to attempt the south walk today after completing the north walk yesterday, and this proved much more pleasant with a well defined track and less nerves about stumbling upon wriggly sticks, happy to report 11/11 finds today !!! All caches were relatively quick finds and only one with a damp log. TFTC series The Ciscokids

Having a drive around the Tumbarumba/Rosewood area this afternoon with Mrs Harrowang’s muggle cousin. Thought we would try for at least one of these caches along the Hume and Hovell Trail. Didn’t worry about the gumboots and were able to get this far on the muddy Trail and eventually make the find and SL at 4.34pm Left: Eagle pathtag #8255 TFTC The Ciscokids
Decided to take a day off and go caching - needed 14 for the next souvenir and as I can’t go into Victoria I could head west to Tocumwal or head to the hills around Tumbarumba. Chose the latter as the potential number of caches was higher (and this is a nice part of the world). Not the most successful day - 6 DNFs and 5 Did Not Attempts (DNAs - at least 3 highly unlikely to be there). But did get 19 caches and enjoyed a few walks on a sunny but chilly day
This was a much more enjoyable leg - only 1 DNF and 1 DNA in this leg. Very muddy in patches (don’t go via the bridge!). Was worried here but followed instructions and the cache was in the third spot I checked.

This was the only one on this side of the road we didn't find despite a lot of searching. Darn
#5751.
We decided to take on the Hume and Hovell walking track today. It was a scortching day, but we were well prepared with enough water, sunscreen and hats. We were relieved to find that this part of the track was still open. We were on the lookout for snakes, but did not spot any today. The cache was quickly spotted. TFTC!

600th cache
Saw the track was still open in this section to the tunnel.
Camping nearby, so was going to have a look in the morning but torchlight sounded more fun.
This has survived the floods, thanks for the detailed hints or would have taken forever.
Tried to get the next one down the line but the flood damage further on meant i couldnt tell where the track was meant to go so called it a night.
Will have to come back one day when the tracks back in action

We'd been planning on heading up here with TheClazzas for awhile and last night realised we were all free today so met up & took the scenic route to Tumba. We lunched at the Henry Angel picnic area then headed over the road to gz. Collecting the modern wonders passports as we go. The track in the opposite direction is currently closed due to the summer bushfires. Petra was gathered here. Tftc.
A beautiful spot in winter, green and following creek and just about the only bit of walking open in the area

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Our second find for the day, we had found the original of this one, now we have found the replacement. TFTC
Today we checked the 10 existing Hume and Hovell Caches and they have all, surprisingly, survived the fires. We have also replaced number 9 and added a new cache at the end of the trail.
Found at 12.30pm. We wanted to find a pleasant walk today, so this fitted the bill nicely. A good hide so close to the track. K did the climbing and M gave directions, Soon had the cache in hand.

Day 2 of our Aus weekend away, looking to be a lot cooler. A perfect day for this short hike, a slight drizzle adding to the atmosphere. Finding the first is always a good feeling. Tftc
Went up to the mountains to go camping with the Kyintwins. We had an Awesome time and they showed me so many things. My time with them is always the best and our geocaching adventures are always worth it. thanks Leovgeorge.
**# 23430** Found on a warm day for a walk along the track.
And finally cleaned up some Tumba area caches I have needed to visit for a while.
Many good safe hides and mainly quick finds. TB visit too.
Thanks for the cache and the trail The Ciscokids,

Forgot to log this series when we walked this section of the track, but we definitely signed all the logs! We started at Henry Angel and walked the H&HT over to the campsite at Manus Lake. Walked back the next day via the roads.
I had done this trail before! But it seems some of the caches went missing, and new caches were put in their place! (Could have just done maintenance instead, but never mind). So - having been here before, I knew what a lovely place it was! So was more than happy to do the walk again! It was every bit as nice as last time, indeed maybe even a little nicer! (There was no muddy patches this time!). All caches found OK. Some spot on the coordinates, some a fair bit out, but condition of all caches was fine! Thanks for placing CK.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Had some spare time an a beaut sunny arfternoon headed up from Tumut to do a few caches down the h&h track. Thanks Ciscokids for the caches SL TNLN Cheerio 4 Now
A drive to Tumbarumba was planned for the day, so a hunt for a cache or 2 added to the enjoyment.
Did this walk a few week ago, but as there have been more caches added, we didn't hesitate to do the walk again, as we enjoyed it the first time.
Quick find. Signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, The Ciscokids, for us and others to find.

Out with Nacspaceman. First of four caches along this part of the track. Wish we'd had time to go further, but another time. TFT series The Ciscokids
Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to complete all the caches on this trail, but the ones we did complete were well hidden and fun to look for. TFTC
