We started this series on a surprise birthday trip last year but ran out of time to collect them all so a plan was made to finish them off and put the fish back together.EeePees flew in from Tassie, Peppa packed the snacks, LDavs studied the maps, JDavs acted as Karickas anchor and we sailed the seas around South Stradbroke Island.A short search around and Peppa spotted it after stepping over it. Thanks for the cache 4andoFind #6513
When does a plan become a scheme? With a goal of getting a D/T Loop up on me, Davinells began laying the groundwork for that plan about 18 months agoDavinells, EeePees and I got to take Karicka out unsupervised for a spin to South Stradbroke Island to finish off this part of the map A great day, with great companyA comment from Davidwazza had us change our point of view and we soon had the cache in handThanks 4ando
Regarding the puzzle, there were a few steps required to unravel the coordinates, but its stages were not anything that I hadn't come across before. It is interesting that this cache had a chequered past with it being a hit/miss of finds. Given our luck with finding this series caches today, I wasn't hopeful, but as I arrived earlier than the others, I searched around and concentrated on [Orange Crew](https://coord.info/PRADJTA)'s [find log dated 27/02/2021](https://coord.info/GL13T6T36), and I just caught sight of the container's side/corner. A reasonably sized container, but well-hidden. I was amazed that it hadnt been buried by sand and pine needles since its last find three years ago; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [4ando](https://coord.info/PR9DE8J) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this cache with 1016 days [33.4 months / 2.78 years] of unfound love since its last find on 23/10/2021.----------Today, a merry group of sailors consisting of [arewethere?](https://coord.info/PR2J301), [GreenGecko1](https://coord.info/PR1Q82V), [Muggle65](https://coord.info/PR10G2R0), and I took the boat out to South Stradbroke Island and the nearby western islands. We departed/returned from Jacobs Well just after 07:20 hr, and we visited many of the *Fish and Cache* series geocaches. I daresay that it was close to perfect weather for a boat trip, as the sun was out, and the sand islands provided protection from the ocean winds. Furthermore, many others must have thought the same as there were plenty of boats about, and a few muggles that we encountered had even camped on the islands during the previous night.
A big day out was planned today as Davidwazza had secured access to a boat. A group of us met at the Jacobs Well boat ramp early enough to get a full day out on the water. And what a cracker of a day it turned out to be, DavidWazza was comfortable at the helm, and along with Greengeckos and Muggle65 we navigated our way through the island passages on our way to North and South Stradbroke, picking up quite a few caches as we went.Cache was found quite quickly and all good here. Thanks very much for the adventure 4ando. Cheers
A nice early start to the day here at Jacobs Well heading out for a cruise of the bay and hopefully collect a few lonely caches and some sunburn. Our cruise ship Captain Wazza had teamed up with Cruise director Are We There?, First Mate GreenGecko 1 and deckhand Muggle65.This area is quite popular with Boaties and it was a beautiful day on the water with great company.A hide found
Captain Davidwazza piloted the pleasure cruiser today and Muggle65, arewethere? and l had a really fun day. The weather was ideal and we left the (extraordinarily busy) boat ramp at about 7.30am. Having never been in this area, l couldn't believe how popular it is with boaties. For the most part the sea was pretty well flat and the wind was light. Thank you for the fun
I was fairly new to puzzles when I started this one. Needed an early hint from the CO, which gave us a start, then krcamber got the team over the line!
After a DNF here nearly 2 years ago, we were back out at it today trying to find the last of this fun Geo-Art.
Krcamber found it fairly quickly this time. Yesss - one step closer to finishing.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache 4ando!

Out today on the skis with Swearah and the muggle husband to try and finish off the finding of this great series that we started oh so long ago!
Swearah had the first part of this puzzle worked out pretty easily and then I stumbled across a delicious cipher to help with the second part.
At GZ, we were pleased to not be dodging poo tickets at every step, this is much more pleasant. We were also happy to have a lot more luck this time around, finding the cache in no time!! It’s always so nice to avenge a DNF.

Having a really good time out on the water on this rather warm and humid day. At least there's a light breeze which becomes stronger when some power is put to the engine. Fishing for geocaches is a new experience but one we are enjoying today. Caches found and logs signed but we didn't finish before the tide told us it was time to head back. Another day for the others hopefully.
Cheers, and thanks 4ando!
Cheers, and thanks 4ando!
In the company of Aussie Liahona and kind friend with a good boat trying to get as many caches as possible around here. Thanks 4ando. Water conditions beautiful a little hot but gorgeous area. Cache 15m out tethered to base of tree.
We have had a bit of drama with the boat couldn't get the motor down. Relay switch failed. Got towed to a beach by a passing boat and managed to find a manual over ride. Back into fishing

Out with karicka and chamad chasing down the Fish and Cache series, and any others along the way that looked interesting. It was a very busy day on the water and on the land with campers and daytrippers occupying just about every empty patch of sand.
We thought this was missing but chamad managed to dig it out under a pile of pine needles. Great save!

Out today on the seas to do a spot of fishing. It was a great day, calm seas and good company with Karicka as skipper and Orange Crew as professor, me as Gilligan I suppose. Our tour started at Jacobs well to our first stop at tipplers, we went north from there collecting a few fish and a few extras as we passed.
There were a fair few people on the water and camped along the sandy patches, some hides we had to navigate around so as not to bring attention to ourselves.
this one had a few DNF's but a thorough search and the cache was found.
A great day again and a big haul of fish, thanks to the CO’s for the series and the trads along the way. At the end of the day all caches (series or trads) are in place and are in good condition.

Just under a year ago ventured to this part of defecate alley to find the cache missing. Spoke with the COs after the fact and they were going to check it out and subsequently the cache was replaced. While being in the area floating around for a few days had the opportunity to finally close out this series.
Snuck into the area and avoided the 232 vessels, 112 tents and close to 4,000 muggles to zero in on the cache hide. Avoided all this brown streaked paper lying around. It's what I'd expect when the muck hits the fan in parliament. Alas it's a byproduct of muggles inhabiting an area and I wasn't going to do a CITO of the area without a lot of inoculations.
Was expecting a long search again and was ecstatic with finding the cache at the first tree I looked at. Which means more fishing time before heading back to the mother ship. Thanks 4ando's for maintaining this series and a FP for doing so.

Not really knowing what to expect from my virgin jet ski trip, I was worried that my phone wouldn’t make it. It already has a crack and a hole in the screen after it decided to pick a fight with some bitumen.
Normally I would be taking lots of photos but the constant fear of taking it for a swim raised some alarms. Seeing I sometimes use it as a beer coaster I’m surprised it’s made it this far.
I looked back through the smattering of photos I had taken and there were plenty of my feet, my feet in the sand, my feet in the mangroves and my feet in the water. Somehow the phone survived but after dropping it in the sand a couple of times it is now a kilogram heavier. tftc

This one eluded is yesterday. Searched and searched but we didn’t find any fruit (unless you count the human fruit ). We’ll be back!
Our third DNF for today Our GPSs lead us to the middle of loads of different potential hiding spots. While dodging the toilet paper we looked up and down here, there and every where but nothing revealed itself to us today. We’ll be back to find you sneaky cache!
The CO invited me out for a day on the water on his jet ski and who am I to turn back an offer like that. We launched from Cabbage Tree Point and it was a gloomy morning. But as the day wore on, the sun came out and it was a glorious day to be out on the water. After collecting the caches, we headed to Tipplers for some brunch.
Mr 4ando has dropped me ashore to walk these caches. The first one was an easy find, then I came to this one. The coords had me in the middle of a bunch of possible hides and I began searching them, slowly expanding my search radius. But after 15min and no luck, I had to give up and continue on to the next one. Logging with permission of the CO.

We finally got the green light from the boat hire company at Jacobs well to have a little unlicensed boat for 8h. Can there be nay more traffic on the water as on a Saturday in the summer holidays? All in all we were able to visit all except 4 spots of the series and found them all quite quickly.
We had a lot of fun discovering all those nice stops and having a good day.
Another puzzle where a lot of CO support was needed.
Thanks for the great series and great mix of puzzles.

Firstly I must apologise for the generic logs for this series of Fish and Cache puzzles.
Dora the Explorer!, Phil Serenity and I had planed to visit South Stradbroke Island and pick up the caches around there. This was all to be done by kayak. Unfortunately, Phil Serenity was unable to make it due to the care of a pet that was required, so it was just Dora the Explorer! and I.
We took two vehicles and left one vehicle at Paradise Point and drove the second vehicle to Jacobs Well where we launched the kayaks. We were quite lucky as the water was calm and the tides were favourable.
All the caches were found easily enough and the different types of containers and hides was most enjoyable for this series.
After paddling about 30klms, we found are suitable camping spot not far from #10. Although we had booked a campsite at North Currigee campgrounds, we ran out of time to get there.
This is a beautiful part of the world and the scenery and wildlife was pleasant to enjoy. On the Sunday we continued on our journey however the wind had swung around to the South and when the tide started coming in, it was against us which made the paddle pack to Paradise Point slow and hard going. We covered about another 30klms on the second day.
We arrived back at Paradise Point at about 5:00pm.
This was a most enjoyable series of caches and many thanks go to ***4ando*** for placing them.

Quick and easy find
We completed the fish series and traditionals around South Moreton Bay Island all by Kayak and walking. We stopped to camp overnight. Was a very enjoyable adventure using sit on top kayaks and hammock tents.
On day 1 we completed in this order, one of the caches may be out of order. We used two cars. One was parked at Jacobs Well and the other at Paradise Point tomsave back tracking. We had a very early start leaving Jacobs Well with the high tide.
Fish and Cache series, 16, 23, 19, 20, 22, Crusoe House Boat, 21, 18, 17, Jumpinpin Passage, Fish Cache Series 24, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2 Goats in a Boat Fish Series 12.
Day 2
Camped overnight near Fish Series 11.
Fish and Cache Series 11, 57 km from Mexican, Fish and Cache Series 13, 14, 15, Dux's Hut, The Sand Dunes, Tipplers, (we had a break here and bought breakfast from the shops here). As the Sun Sets, Wallaby Lawn, Step Back in Time, The Bora Ring, Easy for Some, Minbalup, and Canoe Tree. We then paddled from here back to Paradise Point.
The adventure was fairly straigt forward, saw lots of sting rays, so make sure you have foot wear on when pushing kayaks across the mud flats which we had to do on afew occasions. I even had a fish decide to join me in the kayak. I quickly put him straigt back into he water. We were both quite exhausted on the final leg back to Paradise Point as we were going against the tide.
All in all was a fun adventure and I would recommend doing it by kayak over two days.

We found the cache okay and signed the log. On the way back to the boat we also found a damaged tent that had been abandoned and had collapsed. We tentatively poked it to establish that there was no body in it, emptied the sand and water out of it and packed it up to dispose of it on the mainland.

With high tide about 10am today, hubby decided that a day on the water was just what he needed to get a day off from work and have fun chasing fish. We invited echocage1 along for the ride and had an enjoyable day finding these caches.
Eighth cache and found quickly. SL then returned as found.
There was a tent which had been left abandoned near the beach, so decided to dismantle it and take it back to the mainland to dispose of it properly. Also a lot of places have been used as a toilet stop from other boaties, so beware.

Being a public holiday in Brisbane, my geo daughter and i decided to pack the bags and head to Jacobs well for a day on the water. The challenge was to complete the fish and cache series. With a few hints from the CO and a previous logger i managed to make my way through the series a few weeks ago. Today was the long awaited mission. The weather was beautiful and we managed to find all bare three as time ran out, the boat we hired had a dodgy motor that wouldnt allow us to but the motor in the middle position which meant when the tide was low we couldnt get to a few caches. 3 caches short.
After a short walk from the last find GeoWife zeroed straight in on this one. With a nice quick find. As I have already got the find on the next cache that our fellow shipmates Slow Puncture had no their to-do list. I decided that I’ll head back to the boat and drive it down the island and meet up with the rest of the shore party and we will stop for some lunch.
Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC 4ando

Sunday. We stopped for a bit of lunch around about this time of day as we were really famished by now. We found this cache in short order and signed the log. Slow Puncture was out today with Captain Coolumroo who very kindly took us out in his boat today! It was a really great day – nicely covered with cloud cover, so there was no way we were going to get sunburnt, plus just for today, we had rain all around us, but none of it ever actually came over us! We were making great time now and had a few caches under our belts. Captain Coolumroo was doing an excellent job of keeping us on track and navigating his way through the myriad number of small islands, inlets and other seacraft. The caches we found today were all found relatively quickly for the most part. Great series, and nicely placed cache here.
This was the 17th of 25 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***4ando***, for showing us this place.

On the Island for a couple of days to complete the Geo tour and do a bit of 'fishing' and have teamed up with E(:, Jess & Caro and SS3J who were instrumental in solving most of this beaut series of puzzles with a lot of blood, sweat, tears and several PAFs.
It was a perfect winters day jam packed with fun and the excitement of seeing four large whales close to shore, two rare 'albino' wallabies, millions of blue swimmer crabs and a few friendly campers.
We had to be very discreet looking for this one but the campers kept checking where we were going and there was a section near GZ that was a fair dinkum field of 'new land mines', that's probably why they were watching where we were walking.
Thanks 4ando and TFTC

We are staying at the resort nearby and have buddied up with Snickersallan and E(: today to find some of the GeoTour and cache some Fish. We were on foot for about half of the day after a 4WD drop off. What an adventure of sand dunes, swampy mangroves, and beach! We took along some cardboard and did get a few slides in but for the most part we were able to avoid too much up and down of dunes, and in some spots the sand was too damp to get any real speed up. We did try though.
Thanks for another great puzzle and cache, 4ando. I didn't take notes as I went but I'm fairly certain this area was where I donated my cardboard dune sled to some nearby campers for fire fuel, who then spent some time trying to convince us to set up camp with them... yeah, feeling glad I'm not alone today. Dodged their landmines and continued on our way.

Was nice to see so many folk enjoying the lovely location. Would be nicer if they also got used to the concept of burying their loo paper... Found with a few careful steps.

After a hearty Bacon and Eggs for breakfast on the foreshore we bid farewell to the magenta maiden (after agreeing to meet further up for further FTF opportunities), and swapped between walking and boating between cached, depending on the distance between them. This part of the caching experience was a rather sad reflection on the behaviours of the human race. The area had become a haven for ablutions and was awash with used toilet paper strewn everywhere. It was particularly sad to see the kids swimming in the creeks just downstream from one particularly grubby section. A shame to see this in such a beautiful spot. Otherwise this was a fun series of caches, and with such a stunning day, it was a pleasure to be out and about. Thanks for bringing us here.
I managed to find the first half to this puzzle quickly enough, and the next step (not unlike the cache location) required a careful bit of stepping! A one word hint from CP once again had a solution in hand.

The further north we travell the busier it seems to get with myriads of muggles camped on the beach or moored offshore enjoing a pefect day on the water. Thankfully none have been close enough to hinder any of our searches and we've managed to squeeze the boat into a suitable parking spot to venture to GZ. All found safe and well here. TFTC
An interesting puzzle that I solved pretty quickly - partly just by being observant and partly by having had experience with various codes.
We managed to make a quick find here after dodging the muggle campers along the foreshore and dodging their refuse behind all the trees. Ewww! Thanks 4Ando

Today teamdfl and I have set out to collect as many of this series of caches as possible, along with a couple of extra traditionals along the way. She had far more success at solving all the puzzles than I did, my contribution being exactly 5
We met up this morning at the beach area on the corner of Esplanade and Nassau Place, and put the kayaks in, blithely setting off on what we thought would be a long but relatively straightforward day. How wrong we were! By the middle of the day I was needing a constant tow, and by the end of it we were both struggling to make headway against the wind. The tide was way down, there was lots of dragging of the yaks, mud galore, small rays darting off everywhere, more mud. After finally clawing our way back to the more sheltered area, I was pretty well done by the time we struggled the last few kilometres to our starting point. Quite an adventure indeed!
We paddled along very nicely here with the tide, but shortly realised we had overshot 4 caches A bit of a slog back about 500 metres to this one and then we decided to leave the boats for a bit and walk back to the others
A pleasant walk across the dunes brought us to GZ, but we found rather a lot of pungent rubbish in the area so trod carefully. After plenty of circle work I eventually discovered the cache, and we got another [*FTF*] TFTC, 4ando.

This one had me catching the wrong fish for a while. I think I left it for a while, and came back at it with another idea. Sometimes it is best to stick to the basics. Once I was on the right track it did not take long to get it all sorted out.
First of all we managed to over shoot our original target by over 1km, and ended up well north of this one. The current here was a tad strong. We paddled back to near this one and traded the boats for a spot of walking for a while.
I think the find here also gave us some grief too. We spent some time looking for this one. The tree cover was enough to give a bit of GPSr bounce, but we both kept coming back to the one spot. Plenty circles were walked. I had pretty much given up when IolantheK spotted it. Many plenty "eeewwwws" were said at this one too. [xx(]
Another joint *FTF* with IolantheK.
