We started this series on a surprise birthday trip last year but ran out of time to collect them all so a plan was made to finish them off and put the fish back together.EeePees flew in from Tassie, Peppa packed the snacks, LDavs studied the maps, JDavs acted as Karickas anchor and we sailed the seas around South Stradbroke Island.A short climb up the bank and a search around and we found the cache. Thanks for the cache 4andoFind #6515

When does a plan become a scheme? With a goal of getting a D/T Loop up on me, Davinells began laying the groundwork for that plan about 18 months agoDavinells, EeePees and I got to take Karicka out unsupervised for a spin to South Stradbroke Island to finish off this part of the map A great day, with great companyThanks 4ando

Regarding the puzzle, it was a unique puzzle that ironically, may have fitted better with the pacman geoart! Nevertheless, I worked through the set of numbers, and had the solution checker confirm my coordinates on my second attempt.I had initially tried the approach directly from the beach, but those trees were dense, so it was a roundabout walk following the inland track before heading back towards the water. This was the right approach, and I managed to spot the reasonably-sized container within a few minutes of our arrival, through the trees. After maneouvering my way in, the container was extracted, and althoguh the cache container was in good shape, the logbook was damp and there was some water inside. Water was tipped out, and our names added accordingly. Thanks [4ando](https://coord.info/PR9DE8J) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this cache with 547 days [18.0 months / 1.50 years] of unfound love since its last find on 4/02/2023.----------Today, a merry group of sailors consisting of [arewethere?](https://coord.info/PR2J301), [GreenGecko1](https://coord.info/PR1Q82V), [Muggle65](https://coord.info/PR10G2R0), and I took the boat out to South Stradbroke Island and the nearby western islands. We departed/returned from Jacobs Well just after 07:20 hr, and we visited many of the *Fish and Cache* series geocaches. I daresay that it was close to perfect weather for a boat trip, as the sun was out, and the sand islands provided protection from the ocean winds. Furthermore, many others must have thought the same as there were plenty of boats about, and a few muggles that we encountered had even camped on the islands during the previous night.

A big day out was planned today as Davidwazza had secured access to a boat. A group of us met at the Jacobs Well boat ramp early enough to get a full day out on the water. And what a cracker of a day it turned out to be, DavidWazza was comfortable at the helm, and along with Greengeckos and Muggle65 we navigated our way through the island passages on our way to North and South Stradbroke, picking up quite a few caches as we went.Another original log book found. Thanks very much for the adventure 4ando. Cheers

A nice early start to the day here at Jacobs Well heading out for a cruise of the bay and hopefully collect a few lonely caches and some sunburn. Our cruise ship Captain Wazza had teamed up with Cruise director Are We There?, First Mate GreenGecko 1 and deckhand Muggle65.This area is quite popular with Boaties and it was a beautiful day on the water with great company.A great day out.

Captain Davidwazza piloted the pleasure cruiser today and Muggle65, arewethere? and l had a really fun day. The weather was ideal and we left the (extraordinarily busy) boat ramp at about 7.30am. Having never been in this area, l couldn't believe how popular it is with boaties. For the most part the sea was pretty well flat and the wind was light. Thank you for the fun

We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
4ando Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.

While planning our holiday in Australia, we couldn't miss the Fish and Cache series to keep us busy . We figured something out ourselves, karicka and geono helped us with something, and something remained unexplained. After preparing almost the entire series, we started looking for a boat rental. There are great people here so in the end we found out that renting a boat that we don't need a license for is useless because the currents are strong.
We ended up at the Tipplers shuttle service, which is based here. . So we will try to walk around some of the boxes around the island. We had no idea what to wear and where we would go here. We set out in sandals, but on the way we changed to water shoes because there is just too much sand.
At 13 we missed the road and when it was already clear that we were going wrong, we didn't want to wade through the swamps. We got to the dunes and had to climb that sand mountain. Walking in the sand is a lot of work. We thought that other caches on the coast would be easy work. So we were wrong .

We passed lots of boats and tents and muggles. Fortunately, the sun wasn't too hot today, but we still preferred to lubricate ourselves because we don't want to end up badly . We had a time limit as the Tipplers boat leaves at 3.30pm. It was clear to us that at some point we would have to turn around and go back.

Everything OK here

Během plánování dovolené v Austrálii jsme nemohli minout sérii Fish and Cache, která nám dala zabrat . Něco jsme vyluštili sami, s něčím nám pomohli karicka a geono a něco zůstalo nevyluštěno.

Míjeli jsme spoustu člunů a stanů a mudlů.

I've never been too into computer games but I liked Pacman. And we liked this fun puzzle.

Lifting a leg over the side of a boat is no problem if you're tall or a cancan dancer. Short people put in a lot more effort... consequently I opted to walk to the next cache. I arrived before MrG and the boat and had the cache found when he pulled in. TFTC 4ando.

Out with JQTB today after a group of puzzles solved.
If we had stayed a little longer in the spot we landed, the tide would have forced us to stay longer

So I had to PAF to answer this puzzle. But then felt completely amateur when the hint was given. Could it be any more simple? Probably not...

Frankhem and J climbed the hill and made the find. The log is completely saturated so signing was difficult. We replaced the bag that was holding the log but because it's about the size of the container it looks like every time the book is placed back in the container it's tearing the bag. Would recommend a change of logs in the not too distant future.

The weather is wet & overcast, the guys wanted to go fishing & I wanted to do some geocaching.
With my brother as skipper we headed out to Stradbroke Island.
I was dropped off at #3 & walked with my muggle sister in law down to #10 before getting picked up again. The genuine fishers only had one small flounder for their effort.
A pleasant walk in drizzling conditions.
Thankyou 4ando for placing this cache.

Out with karicka and chamad chasing down the Fish and Cache series, and any others along the way that looked interesting. It was a very busy day on the water and on the land with campers and daytrippers occupying just about every empty patch of sand.

A bush bash and a wander up the hillvsoon had the container located and signed.

Out today on the seas to do a spot of fishing. It was a great day, calm seas and good company with Karicka as skipper and Orange Crew as professor, me as Gilligan I suppose. Our tour started at Jacobs well to our first stop at tipplers, we went north from there collecting a few fish and a few extras as we passed.

There were a fair few people on the water and camped along the sandy patches, some hides we had to navigate around so as not to bring attention to ourselves.

A great day again and a big haul of fish, thanks to the CO’s for the series and the trads along the way. At the end of the day all caches (series or trads) are in place and are in good condition.

The current was very strong and in the opposite direction. So it was really difficult to reach GZ.
At GZ it was an easy find.

Normally when doing a walk along sand, the easiest way is to walk on the stuff closest to the water. It’s normally compact and hard but this morning the tide was in and I found myself jumping over and under some driftwood.

The CO yelled out from the jet ski that I was an idiot and there was a perfectly good path just up the bank. It’s not called the walk of shame for nothing.

At the speed I was making up the sand, hell could have frozen over, thawed, and then frozen again. It’s lucky I’m destined for heaven because I hate the cold. tftc

The CO invited me out for a day on the water on his jet ski and who am I to turn back an offer like that. We launched from Cabbage Tree Point and it was a gloomy morning. But as the day wore on, the sun came out and it was a glorious day to be out on the water. After collecting the caches, we headed to Tipplers for some brunch.

I walked to the top of a rise and there was a big bushy tree which seemed like an obvious hide. But as I searched in and around it I began to despair of finding this one. Imagine my surprise then when I finally spotted it. I quickly signed the log and moved on, relieved, as Mr 4ando was waiting for me further down the beach. Thanks for the cache

Last cache found on this cruise of the damned with sheandhe. Ended up with two DNFs as the muggles camping in some spots were OTT. Will be back when its a bit quieter and muggle free.

This puzzle ties in very well with the CO's pacman series. Another good tie in!! Thanks for an interesting series 4ando.

We finally got the green light from the boat hire company at Jacobs well to have a little unlicensed boat for 8h. Can there be nay more traffic on the water as on a Saturday in the summer holidays? All in all we were able to visit all except 4 spots of the series and found them all quite quickly.

We had a lot of fun discovering all those nice stops and having a good day.

Thanks for the great series and great mix of puzzles.

Firstly I must apologise for the generic logs for this series of Fish and Cache puzzles.

Dora the Explorer!, Phil Serenity and I had planed to visit South Stradbroke Island and pick up the caches around there. This was all to be done by kayak. Unfortunately, Phil Serenity was unable to make it due to the care of a pet that was required, so it was just Dora the Explorer! and I.

We took two vehicles and left one vehicle at Paradise Point and drove the second vehicle to Jacobs Well where we launched the kayaks. We were quite lucky as the water was calm and the tides were favourable.

All the caches were found easily enough and the different types of containers and hides was most enjoyable for this series.

After paddling about 30klms, we found are suitable camping spot not far from #10. Although we had booked a campsite at North Currigee campgrounds, we ran out of time to get there.

This is a beautiful part of the world and the scenery and wildlife was pleasant to enjoy. On the Sunday we continued on our journey however the wind had swung around to the South and when the tide started coming in, it was against us which made the paddle pack to Paradise Point slow and hard going. We covered about another 30klms on the second day.

We arrived back at Paradise Point at about 5:00pm.

This was a most enjoyable series of caches and many thanks go to ***4ando*** for placing them.

Quick and easy find

We completed the fish series and traditionals around South Moreton Bay Island all by Kayak and walking. We stopped to camp overnight. Was a very enjoyable adventure using sit on top kayaks and hammock tents.

On day 1 we completed in this order, one of the caches may be out of order. We used two cars. One was parked at Jacobs Well and the other at Paradise Point tomsave back tracking. We had a very early start leaving Jacobs Well with the high tide.

Fish and Cache series, 16, 23, 19, 20, 22, Crusoe House Boat, 21, 18, 17, Jumpinpin Passage, Fish Cache Series 24, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2 Goats in a Boat Fish Series 12.

Day 2

Camped overnight near Fish Series 11.
Fish and Cache Series 11, 57 km from Mexican, Fish and Cache Series 13, 14, 15, Dux's Hut, The Sand Dunes, Tipplers, (we had a break here and bought breakfast from the shops here). As the Sun Sets, Wallaby Lawn, Step Back in Time, The Bora Ring, Easy for Some, Minbalup, and Canoe Tree. We then paddled from here back to Paradise Point.

The adventure was fairly straigt forward, saw lots of sting rays, so make sure you have foot wear on when pushing kayaks across the mud flats which we had to do on afew occasions. I even had a fish decide to join me in the kayak. I quickly put him straigt back into he water. We were both quite exhausted on the final leg back to Paradise Point as we were going against the tide.

All in all was a fun adventure and I would recommend doing it by kayak over two days.

With high tide about 10am today, hubby decided that a day on the water was just what he needed to get a day off from work and have fun chasing fish. We invited echocage1 along for the ride and had an enjoyable day finding these caches.

Seventh cache and this one was a little tricky but found it in the end. SL then returned as found.

As there are fallen trees near the water, took to the boat to get to the next one.

Being a public holiday in Brisbane, my geo daughter and i decided to pack the bags and head to Jacobs well for a day on the water. The challenge was to complete the fish and cache series. With a few hints from the CO and a previous logger i managed to make my way through the series a few weeks ago. Today was the long awaited mission. The weather was beautiful and we managed to find all bare three as time ran out, the boat we hired had a dodgy motor that wouldnt allow us to but the motor in the middle position which meant when the tide was low we couldnt get to a few caches. 3 caches short.

Sunday. A day out on the bay today with Team Coolumroo and Slow Puncture. Coolumroo had already found this cache, so didn’t need to follow us in to grab this cache! We found this one and signed the log. I managed to spot Luke in amongst the plantlife here as he was signing the log. Unfortunately, way too much old camping gear left behind here by previous visitors

This was the 18th of 25 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***4ando***, for showing us this place. Smile

On the Island for a couple of days to complete the Geo tour and do a bit of 'fishing' and have teamed up with E(:, Jess & Caro and SS3J who were instrumental in solving most of this beaut series of puzzles with a lot of blood, sweat, tears and several PAFs.

It was a perfect winters day jam packed with fun and the excitement of seeing four large whales close to shore, two rare 'albino' wallabies, millions of blue swimmer crabs and a few friendly campers.

We were thankful it was low tide for us here as we were heading straight into the swamp area which was much easier than going via the tall and very soft sand dunes beside us. Another neat hide here, good placement.
Thanks 4ando and TFTC Smile

We sort of split up at this stage. I found a trail which was easier than the soft sand. Even though they went ahead, I was at gz earlier

We are staying at the resort nearby and have buddied up with Snickersallan and E(: today to find some of the GeoTour and cache some Fish. Big Grin We were on foot for about half of the day after a 4WD drop off. What an adventure of sand dunes, swampy mangroves, and beach!

Lots of 'landmines' to be avoided along here, but avoid them we did. Eventually we got back to the pretty beach views and more pleasant scenery. Thanks for the puzzle and cache, 4ando! Smile

Some lovely walking to new caches and this was the next.

After a hearty Bacon and Eggs for breakfast on the foreshore we bid farewell to the magenta maiden (after agreeing to meet further up for further FTF opportunities), and swapped between walking and boating between cached, depending on the distance between them. This part of the caching experience was a rather sad reflection on the behaviours of the human race. The area had become a haven for ablutions and was awash with used toilet paper strewn everywhere. It was particularly sad to see the kids swimming in the creeks just downstream from one particularly grubby section. A shame to see this in such a beautiful spot. Otherwise this was a fun series of caches, and with such a stunning day, it was a pleasure to be out and about. Thanks for bringing us here.
A bit of plodding for this puzzle, until the answer fell nicely into place. Thanks for the puzzle.

Heading back to where the boat was parked we still had this cache to find before reboarding and continuing the journey north. Another cache completed successful in our geo-fishing expedition. TFTC

Lots of campers out enjoying the sunshine, Unfortunately, they don't carry out *everything* that they bought in. So there is a lot of unsavoury stuff in and around the tree behind the foreshore.

A nice quick find here. We continued walking to the next. Thanks 4Ando

Today teamdfl and I have set out to collect as many of this series of caches as possible, along with a couple of extra traditionals along the way. She had far more success at solving all the puzzles than I did, my contribution being exactly 5 Razz

We met up this morning at the beach area on the corner of Esplanade and Nassau Place, and put the kayaks in, blithely setting off on what we thought would be a long but relatively straightforward day. How wrong we were! By the middle of the day I was needing a constant tow, and by the end of it we were both struggling to make headway against the wind. The tide was way down, there was lots of dragging of the yaks, mud galore, small rays darting off everywhere, more mud. After finally clawing our way back to the more sheltered area, I was pretty well done by the time we struggled the last few kilometres to our starting point. Quite an adventure indeed!

Still on shanks pony, and we headed back to the beach where a few campers had set up, then ducked back into the dunes. A pretty quick find this time. TFTC, 4ando.

Another one that I had the concept, but it needed some tweaking to get the green light.

(ytttttttttttttttttttttt6UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUI - cat walks over keyboard while I type my logs) [:o)]

We opted to stroll to this one. I was quite surprised by the number of campsites that were set up. It is Saturday, but it is still a bit early.(gfvb n - cat heading back across the desk)

I don't remember this one being too hard to find.

This one is now number seven for the day. I only had a short walk to this one and once I was at GZ it wasn’t long and another empty log sheet was in my hands. Even though there was a lot of muggles down by the water once again, but cache was hidden well out of sight.

Now this puzzle I have to admit I just couldn’t work things out on. So lucky for me it was my daughter to the rescue once again. She gave me some numbers to try, but no luck. Then she came back to me with something to try again and hey presto I have a new set of coordinates. Ya
