We started this series on a surprise birthday trip last year but ran out of time to collect them all so a plan was made to finish them off and put the fish back together.EeePees flew in from Tassie, Peppa packed the snacks, LDavs studied the maps, JDavs acted as Karickas anchor and we sailed the seas around South Stradbroke Island.Peppa thought he was going to need to act as a distraction but we skirted around the back of the campsite, reading a previous log helped us make a quick find. Thanks for the cache 4andoFind #6517

When does a plan become a scheme? With a goal of getting a D/T Loop up on me, Davinells began laying the groundwork for that plan about 18 months agoDavinells, EeePees and I got to take Karicka out unsupervised for a spin to South Stradbroke Island to finish off this part of the map A great day, with great companyIm not sure this tour of the campsite toilets of South Stradbroke Island is giving me an accurate picture of the beauty of this islandThanks 4ando

Regarding the puzzle, it involved the Rolls Royce of decoding given its historical fame. I've found that the right source/site is required in order to connect the various inputs, and once that was all found, the coordinates were deduced accordingly. There was some momentum as the group walked from cache to cache, and this was next on the list. We already had grave fears given the 2023 DNF, but then [GreenGecko1](https://coord.info/PR1Q82V) struck gold by unearthing the original preform in the ground litter - amazing! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The cache was placed back where it likely originated; Thanks [4ando](https://coord.info/PR9DE8J) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this cache with 1236 days [40.6 months / 3.38 years] of unfound love since its last find on 17/03/2021.----------Today, a merry group of sailors consisting of [arewethere?](https://coord.info/PR2J301), [GreenGecko1](https://coord.info/PR1Q82V), [Muggle65](https://coord.info/PR10G2R0), and I took the boat out to South Stradbroke Island and the nearby western islands. We departed/returned from Jacobs Well just after 07:20 hr, and we visited many of the *Fish and Cache* series geocaches. I daresay that it was close to perfect weather for a boat trip, as the sun was out, and the sand islands provided protection from the ocean winds. Furthermore, many others must have thought the same as there were plenty of boats about, and a few muggles that we encountered had even camped on the islands during the previous night.

A big day out was planned today as Davidwazza had secured access to a boat. A group of us met at the Jacobs Well boat ramp early enough to get a full day out on the water. And what a cracker of a day it turned out to be, DavidWazza was comfortable at the helm, and along with Greengeckos and Muggle65 we navigated our way through the island passages on our way to North and South Stradbroke, picking up quite a few caches as we went.Original pre-form was found here. Thanks very much for the adventure 4ando. Cheers

A nice early start to the day here at Jacobs Well heading out for a cruise of the bay and hopefully collect a few lonely caches and some sunburn. Our cruise ship Captain Wazza had teamed up with Cruise director Are We There?, First Mate GreenGecko 1 and deckhand Muggle65.This area is quite popular with Boaties and it was a beautiful day on the water with great company.A great find here today

Captain Davidwazza piloted the pleasure cruiser today and Muggle65, arewethere? and l had a really fun day. The weather was ideal and we left the (extraordinarily busy) boat ramp at about 7.30am. Having never been in this area, l couldn't believe how popular it is with boaties. For the most part the sea was pretty well flat and the wind was light. This preform was found on the ground. It is now tethered above where it was found.Thank you for the fun

We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
4ando Thanks for the cache and blue dandelion.

While planning our holiday in Australia, we couldn't miss the Fish and Cache series to keep us busy . We figured something out ourselves, karicka and geono helped us with something, and something remained unexplained. After preparing almost the entire series, we started looking for a boat rental. There are great people here so in the end we found out that renting a boat that we don't need a license for is useless because the currents are strong.
We ended up at the Tipplers shuttle service, which is based here. . So we will try to walk around some of the boxes around the island. We had no idea what to wear and where we would go here. We set out in sandals, but on the way we changed to water shoes because there is just too much sand.
At 13 we missed the road and when it was already clear that we were going wrong, we didn't want to wade through the swamps. We got to the dunes and had to climb that sand mountain. Walking in the sand is a lot of work. We thought that other caches on the coast would be easy work. So we were wrong .

We didn't find the cache here.

Během plánování dovolené v Austrálii jsme nemohli minout sérii Fish and Cache, která nám dala zabrat . Něco jsme vyluštili sami, s něčím nám pomohli karicka a geono a něco zůstalo nevyluštěno.

The weather is wet & overcast, the guys wanted to go fishing & I wanted to do some geocaching.
With my brother as skipper we headed out to Stradbroke Island.
I was dropped off at #3 & walked with my muggle sister in law down to #10 before getting picked up again. The genuine fishers only had one small flounder for their effort.
A pleasant walk in drizzling conditions.
Thankyou 4ando for placing this cache.

Hubby loves to fish and did actually bring some fishing gear with him but we were way to busy geocaching to stop for any of that kind of thing, lol. We had a really good time out on the water. It was a bit hot and humid but it was pretty calm and a kind friend skippered his boat for us while we geocached. We've not completed fishing these caches and will be back.

In the company of Aussie Liahona and kind friend with a good boat trying to get as many caches as possible around here. Thanks 4ando. Water conditions beautiful a little hot but gorgeous

We have had a bit of drama with the boat couldn't get the motor down. Relay switch failed. Got towed to a beach by a passing boat and managed to find a manual over ride. Back into fishing

With the tide going out and more sand bars appearing we think we will have to stop soon especially since we can't put the motor up and down easily.

Out with karicka and chamad chasing down the Fish and Cache series, and any others along the way that looked interesting. It was a very busy day on the water and on the land with campers and daytrippers occupying just about every empty patch of sand.

The three of us spent quite some time searching here and located nothing at all. We looked again thoroughly and expanded our radius before determining that it was likely missing. We popped a replacement container at GZ to save the CO a maintenance run.

Out today on the seas to do a spot of fishing. It was a great day, calm seas and good company with Karicka as skipper and Orange Crew as professor, me as Gilligan I suppose. Our tour started at Jacobs well to our first stop at tipplers, we went north from there collecting a few fish and a few extras as we passed.

There were a fair few people on the water and camped along the sandy patches, some hides we had to navigate around so as not to bring attention to ourselves. it was hard when we were in the bushes for so long looking for this one. we all agreed it was gone due to several reasons. Lucky Orange Crew had some new containers at hand and with the CO's permission, it was replaced and all good to go again, maintenance run avoided.

A great day again and a big haul of fish, thanks to the CO’s for the series and the trads along the way. At the end of the day all caches (series or trads) are in place and are in good condition.

The current was very strong and in the opposite direction. So it was really difficult to reach GZ.
At GZ it was an easy find.

When I look at the satellite images of the caches I was walking by this morning, it looks nothing like how I remember it. Someone must have doctored the satellite photos because they show beautiful clear water, wide open stretches of sand and the odd topless bather.

What I found was bush, no beach, and a weary geocacher slogging it out in reef shoes that were filled with sand. Next time I’m checking out Google imagery for the location of Area 51 I’m not going to believe what I see. Surely the remnants of a crashed alien ship should be clearly visible.

The CO departed to pick up his jet ski and told me to just follow the trail down to the water. It definitely looked like a trail the problem was that it led nowhere. tftc

I had absolutely no idea on this puzzle and in the end, we reached out to the CO for some assistance. After some gentle and subtle (LOL) nudging and the right tool, Swearah put together some good numbers!
Swearah found the cache pretty quickly as we headed back down towards the Broadwater. TFTC!

Oh. My. Word. This puzzle!
I gathered some good information early on with this one and I thought I knew what to do. Weeks later we were no further along in the solving stakes. No matter which way I held my tongue, I just couldn't get any good numbers out. Time to message the COs before I hit my head against another wall. They suggested a better tool and off I went to grab the digits.
Out with Krcamber today and we made a quick find here while pondering how this boat ended up like this...

The CO invited me out for a day on the water on his jet ski and who am I to turn back an offer like that. We launched from Cabbage Tree Point and it was a gloomy morning. But as the day wore on, the sun came out and it was a glorious day to be out on the water. After collecting the caches, we headed to Tipplers for some brunch.

I came off the sand dune to this one and there was so much vegetation here that I didn't know where to begin my search. After trying to walk along a narrow branch only to almost fall, I finally located the container before I could properly hurt myself. Thanks for the cache

Spoke with the CO re this puzzle type while we were CITOing quite a few months back. So when the info was spotted, I knew what to do and tried a few programs that gave me various derivations of what was needed. Then tried one TOTT that the CO suggested and out came the information that was needed.

Out on the bay in sheandhe's cruise liner for a few days. Had a good time fishing and caching. This was day 3 and the last one for caching. Again defecate alley was the only downer for cache looking. Thanks for an interesting fishing episode 4ando.

We finally got the green light from the boat hire company at Jacobs well to have a little unlicensed boat for 8h. Can there be nay more traffic on the water as on a Saturday in the summer holidays? All in all we were able to visit all except 4 spots of the series and found them all quite quickly.

We had a lot of fun discovering all those nice stops and having a good day.

Great puzzle idea when you understand how to use the image.

Thanks for the great series and great mix of puzzles.

Firstly I must apologise for the generic logs for this series of Fish and Cache puzzles.

Dora the Explorer!, Phil Serenity and I had planed to visit South Stradbroke Island and pick up the caches around there. This was all to be done by kayak. Unfortunately, Phil Serenity was unable to make it due to the care of a pet that was required, so it was just Dora the Explorer! and I.

We took two vehicles and left one vehicle at Paradise Point and drove the second vehicle to Jacobs Well where we launched the kayaks. We were quite lucky as the water was calm and the tides were favourable.

All the caches were found easily enough and the different types of containers and hides was most enjoyable for this series.

After paddling about 30klms, we found are suitable camping spot not far from #10. Although we had booked a campsite at North Currigee campgrounds, we ran out of time to get there.

This is a beautiful part of the world and the scenery and wildlife was pleasant to enjoy. On the Sunday we continued on our journey however the wind had swung around to the South and when the tide started coming in, it was against us which made the paddle pack to Paradise Point slow and hard going. We covered about another 30klms on the second day.

We arrived back at Paradise Point at about 5:00pm.

This was a most enjoyable series of caches and many thanks go to ***4ando*** for placing them.

Quick and easy find

We completed the fish series and traditionals around South Moreton Bay Island all by Kayak and walking. We stopped to camp overnight. Was a very enjoyable adventure using sit on top kayaks and hammock tents.

On day 1 we completed in this order, one of the caches may be out of order. We used two cars. One was parked at Jacobs Well and the other at Paradise Point tomsave back tracking. We had a very early start leaving Jacobs Well with the high tide.

Fish and Cache series, 16, 23, 19, 20, 22, Crusoe House Boat, 21, 18, 17, Jumpinpin Passage, Fish Cache Series 24, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2 Goats in a Boat Fish Series 12.

Day 2

Camped overnight near Fish Series 11.
Fish and Cache Series 11, 57 km from Mexican, Fish and Cache Series 13, 14, 15, Dux's Hut, The Sand Dunes, Tipplers, (we had a break here and bought breakfast from the shops here). As the Sun Sets, Wallaby Lawn, Step Back in Time, The Bora Ring, Easy for Some, Minbalup, and Canoe Tree. We then paddled from here back to Paradise Point.

The adventure was fairly straigt forward, saw lots of sting rays, so make sure you have foot wear on when pushing kayaks across the mud flats which we had to do on afew occasions. I even had a fish decide to join me in the kayak. I quickly put him straigt back into he water. We were both quite exhausted on the final leg back to Paradise Point as we were going against the tide.

All in all was a fun adventure and I would recommend doing it by kayak over two days.

With high tide about 10am today, hubby decided that a day on the water was just what he needed to get a day off from work and have fun chasing fish. We invited echocage1 along for the ride and had an enjoyable day finding these caches.

Fifth cache was a quick find. SL then returned as found.

Decided to walk to the next one instead of in and out of the tinny.

Being a public holiday in Brisbane, my geo daughter and i decided to pack the bags and head to Jacobs well for a day on the water. The challenge was to complete the fish and cache series. With a few hints from the CO and a previous logger i managed to make my way through the series a few weeks ago. Today was the long awaited mission. The weather was beautiful and we managed to find all bare three as time ran out, the boat we hired had a dodgy motor that wouldnt allow us to but the motor in the middle position which meant when the tide was low we couldnt get to a few caches. 3 caches short.

This one was found rather quickly with all of us in the search for it. This cache is the 12th find on my list today. And my fish art is really coming along, not many to go now. It is such a great day out here today with my GeoWife and Slow Puncture.

Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC 4ando

Sunday. A day out on the bay today with Team Coolumroo and Slow Puncture. Coolumroo needed this cache, as did we. We found this one and signed the log. We were really on a great roll now and we found this cache (helps to have 4 sets of eyes), signed the log and replaced as found.

Thanks ***4ando***, for showing us this place. Smile

On the Island for a couple of days to complete the Geo tour and do a bit of 'fishing' and have teamed up with E(:, Jess & Caro and SS3J who were instrumental in solving most of this beaut series of puzzles with a lot of blood, sweat, tears and several PAFs.

It was a perfect winters day jam packed with fun and the excitement of seeing four large whales close to shore, two rare 'albino' wallabies, millions of blue swimmer crabs and a few friendly campers.

At GZ we had a lot of variables and started to worry that we may be heading for a DNF as it was taking quite some time to locate the cache but eventually and thankfully it was found.
Thanks 4ando and TFTC Smile

We are staying at the resort nearby and have buddied up with Snickersallan and E(: today to find some of the GeoTour and cache some Fish. Big Grin We were on foot for about half of the day after a 4WD drop off. What an adventure of sand dunes, swampy mangroves, and beach! We took along some cardboard and did get a few slides in but for the most part we were able to avoid too much up and down of dunes, and in some spots the sand was too damp to get any real speed up. We did try though. Wink

I have really enjoyed working through this puzzle series. Some I fell upon the solution easily, others had me straining the brain for days on end. This one was tricky. I had the first hald but got stuck until receiving a nice helpful hint. Phew! Thanks for the puzzle and cache, 4ando! Smile

Breakfast done and cache blindness corrected the crew of the HMS Bromance set off on foot while Capn Seff tracked along side. We soon had the next cache in hand.

Thanks for another cache in a lovely spot 4ando!

After a hearty Bacon and Eggs for breakfast on the foreshore we bid farewell to the magenta maiden (after agreeing to meet further up for further FTF opportunities), and swapped between walking and boating between cached, depending on the distance between them. This part of the caching experience was a rather sad reflection on the behaviours of the human race. The area had become a haven for ablutions and was awash with used toilet paper strewn everywhere. It was particularly sad to see the kids swimming in the creeks just downstream from one particularly grubby section. A shame to see this in such a beautiful spot. Otherwise this was a fun series of caches, and with such a stunning day, it was a pleasure to be out and about. Thanks for bringing us here.
This puzzle was a struggle, until I was enlightened by crookedpete.

Another chance to leapfrog the boat further up the beach while the rest of the crew hoofed it on foot along the beach. This time with plenty of moored boats nearby there was no opportunity to open up the throttles. With the boat safely anchored on shore I headed back to join my compatriots. TFTC

Another cache where the crew chose to walk, leaving Captain Seff to prove hsi seamanship moving the boat ahead and then joining us.

Judging from the white paper scattered behind the foreshore, it is pretty clear that the campers along this stretch of beach consider all the trees to be toilets. Maybe time for Council to put some proper pit toilets in?

I enjoyed this puzzle, which was logical and easy enough to progress. My favourite puzzle of this series - so have a crooked favourite point. Many thanks 4Ando

Today teamdfl and I have set out to collect as many of this series of caches as possible, along with a couple of extra traditionals along the way. She had far more success at solving all the puzzles than I did, my contribution being exactly 5 Razz

We met up this morning at the beach area on the corner of Esplanade and Nassau Place, and put the kayaks in, blithely setting off on what we thought would be a long but relatively straightforward day. How wrong we were! By the middle of the day I was needing a constant tow, and by the end of it we were both struggling to make headway against the wind. The tide was way down, there was lots of dragging of the yaks, mud galore, small rays darting off everywhere, more mud. After finally clawing our way back to the more sheltered area, I was pretty well done by the time we struggled the last few kilometres to our starting point. Quite an adventure indeed!

More walking. More sand. Slightly less dune this time. Some wandering around here under the trees, but another [*FTF*] Big Grin Wahoo! TFTC, 4ando.

Oh I did like this one. A very fitting puzzle indeed and not overly complicated. I had no trouble at all with this one. A favourite point for this one ( and the series as well)

We did another bunch of laps at this one. GPSr maybe a tad off, but in the trees perfectly acceptable.

Another bow for our collection. Joint *FTF* with IolantheK. Big Grin
