We started this series on a surprise birthday trip last year but ran out of time to collect them all so a plan was made to finish them off and put the fish back together.EeePees flew in from Tassie, Peppa packed the snacks, LDavs studied the maps, JDavs acted as Karickas anchor and we sailed the seas around South Stradbroke Island. We tried to get to this island last time but at low tide we couldnt even get close. This time was very different and EeePees expertly negotiated the water ways to put us within 40m. Quickly located the original container and happy to say the fish is now complete! Thanks for the cache 4andoFind #6521
When does a plan become a scheme? With a goal of getting a D/T Loop up on me, Davinells began laying the groundwork for that plan about 18 months agoDavinells, EeePees and I got to take Karicka out unsupervised for a spin to South Stradbroke Island to finish off this part of the map A great day, with great companyOur final Fish and Cache and the container was in good condition considering its been here unfound for almost three yearsThanks 4ando
A good early decision was made here. Go for this one now while the tide is high. Great call as we dodged some low water areas. Probably would have been left unfound if we tried it later in the day. My GPS was 60m out at this point and so Frankhem's navigation was the key. Found and signed.
We generally don't frequent too many theme parks so this was a nice education. Are all of these attractions still there?

Out with karicka and chamad chasing down the Fish and Cache series, and any others along the way that looked interesting. It was a very busy day on the water and on the land with campers and daytrippers occupying just about every empty patch of sand.
The tide was just right today, our adventures took place on the top half if a very high tide making life much easier getting in and out if the mangroves!

Out today on the seas to do a spot of fishing. It was a great day, calm seas and good company with Karicka as skipper and Orange Crew as professor, me as Gilligan I suppose. Our tour started at Jacobs well to our first stop at tipplers, we went north from there collecting a few fish and a few extras as we passed.
There were a fair few people on the water and camped along the sandy patches, some hides we had to navigate around so as not to bring attention to ourselves.
A great day again and a big haul of fish, thanks to the CO’s for the series and the trads along the way. At the end of the day all caches (series or trads) are in place and are in good condition.

After completing the walk of shame it was time to jump back on the jet ski to cross the channel. I found it hard to tell if we were in shallow or deep water so I had to put all my faith in the captain. As we closed in on land he would stand up on the jet ski for a better look (blocking the view for those of us in the cheap seats).
We looked for a spot nice and close to pull up but I heard the intimidating words that we were on the beach. The water looked so deep and we appeared to be a fair distance from the sand bank. The muddy water was just playing tricks because it was only knee deep when I got off.
Another nautical trick learnt by this old land lubber. The lesson being don’t trust what you see. Back home (on land) the only visual trick you need to be aware of is a $5 bottle of wine with the most beautiful and enticing label. No matter how good it looks just remember that it’s not good enough to put out a fire with. tftc

After trying lots of different numbers that related, Swearah finally jagged the right ones to use and the checker agreed!
This was our last find for today and Swearah snavvled it quickly. We’ve enjoyed this immensely so far! We will be back to finish the series another day. TFTC!

This puzzle took a bit of research, but we finally got there.
Quick find once we rolled up to the spot, and our last find for the day. Can’t wait to come back and finish the series! TFTPC

R has been spending a lot of time in the area on his boat since Uni finished for the year. I mentioned I'd been working on these puzzles and solved a bit over half of them.
He was headed out with a muggle mate today and decided to introduce him to caching in between pulling up crab pots and fishing.
This one took a bit of finding, but was eventually located and signed.
TFTC 4ando, I'll make sure he takes his old man to the next lot of caches!

The CO invited me out for a day on the water on his jet ski and who am I to turn back an offer like that. We launched from Cabbage Tree Point and it was a gloomy morning. But as the day wore on, the sun came out and it was a glorious day to be out on the water. After collecting the caches, we headed to Tipplers for some brunch.
There seem to be a lot more boaties closer to Straddie but they were far enough away not to be a problem. They must have wandered what we were doing though landing on this beach and then leaving again minutes later. Thanks for the cache

Fished the waters near here yesterday that resulted in a good catch of summer whiting. Caching today has started the same way. A short ride across the channel found a sandy spot to ground the tender. It wasn't a long walk into the mangroves when the tethered cache was found.
I made the puzzle a lot harder than it should have been. Knew what to do, it was what numbers to grab that caused the issue. Thanks for organising a good fishing expedition 4ando.

TFTC. Beautiful day away from the main boat, cruising the waters in the dinghy with Team ARF. Quick find.
Firstly I must apologise for the generic logs for this series of Fish and Cache puzzles.
Dora the Explorer!, Phil Serenity and I had planed to visit South Stradbroke Island and pick up the caches around there. This was all to be done by kayak. Unfortunately, Phil Serenity was unable to make it due to the care of a pet that was required, so it was just Dora the Explorer! and I.
We took two vehicles and left one vehicle at Paradise Point and drove the second vehicle to Jacobs Well where we launched the kayaks. We were quite lucky as the water was calm and the tides were favourable.
All the caches were found easily enough and the different types of containers and hides was most enjoyable for this series.
After paddling about 30klms, we found are suitable camping spot not far from #10. Although we had booked a campsite at North Currigee campgrounds, we ran out of time to get there.
This is a beautiful part of the world and the scenery and wildlife was pleasant to enjoy. On the Sunday we continued on our journey however the wind had swung around to the South and when the tide started coming in, it was against us which made the paddle pack to Paradise Point slow and hard going. We covered about another 30klms on the second day.
We arrived back at Paradise Point at about 5:00pm.
This was a most enjoyable series of caches and many thanks go to ***4ando*** for placing them.

Quick and easy find
We completed the fish series and traditionals around South Moreton Bay Island all by Kayak and walking. We stopped to camp overnight. Was a very enjoyable adventure using sit on top kayaks and hammock tents.
On day 1 we completed in this order, one of the caches may be out of order. We used two cars. One was parked at Jacobs Well and the other at Paradise Point tomsave back tracking. We had a very early start leaving Jacobs Well with the high tide.
Fish and Cache series, 16, 23, 19, 20, 22, Crusoe House Boat, 21, 18, 17, Jumpinpin Passage, Fish Cache Series 24, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2 Goats in a Boat Fish Series 12.
Day 2
Camped overnight near Fish Series 11.
Fish and Cache Series 11, 57 km from Mexican, Fish and Cache Series 13, 14, 15, Dux's Hut, The Sand Dunes, Tipplers, (we had a break here and bought breakfast from the shops here). As the Sun Sets, Wallaby Lawn, Step Back in Time, The Bora Ring, Easy for Some, Minbalup, and Canoe Tree. We then paddled from here back to Paradise Point.
The adventure was fairly straigt forward, saw lots of sting rays, so make sure you have foot wear on when pushing kayaks across the mud flats which we had to do on afew occasions. I even had a fish decide to join me in the kayak. I quickly put him straigt back into he water. We were both quite exhausted on the final leg back to Paradise Point as we were going against the tide.
All in all was a fun adventure and I would recommend doing it by kayak over two days.

This was our second cache of the day and a quick find was made before going back to the boat.

With high tide about 10am today, hubby decided that a day on the water was just what he needed to get a day off from work and have fun chasing fish. We invited echocage1 along for the ride and had an enjoyable day finding these caches.
Number 2 - After finding a spot to pull up at, we were off into the trees and this one was found quickly. SL then returned as found.

Being a public holiday in Brisbane, my geo daughter and i decided to pack the bags and head to Jacobs well for a day on the water. The challenge was to complete the fish and cache series. With a few hints from the CO and a previous logger i managed to make my way through the series a few weeks ago. Today was the long awaited mission. The weather was beautiful and we managed to find all bare three as time ran out, the boat we hired had a dodgy motor that wouldnt allow us to but the motor in the middle position which meant when the tide was low we couldnt get to a few caches. 3 caches short.
On the water with Slow Puncture today to see if we can find all the Fish Art caches. After dealing with sand most of the the day this one gave us a challenge of deep mud due to the low tide. Nevertheless it didn’t put us off. It wasn’t long and we found what we came here for.
Now it was starting to get late in the day so we decided to call it and we will have to return soon. This cache gives me 15th Fish Art for the day and now all I need is just one more to complete the series.
Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC 4ando
And a big thanks to Slow Puncture and GeoWife for such a top day out.

Sunday. The number of caches we’d collected today was growing nicely and this cache added to the list! Such a beautiful area, however the low tide (and growing lower by the minute), was really making navigation very difficult indeed for Coolumroo (who was doing a stellar job navigating all the sandbanks). Wow! There really is a LOT of sand here…vacant of trees and yet somehow beautiful and amazing. Lots of pics taken.
This was the 23rd of 25 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***4ando***, for showing us this place.

A day of fishing in Morton bay sounds perfect, and without a fishing rod in sight we opted instead for this piece of Geoart. With 7 FTF's up for grabs, and a few little extra caches thrown in, there was a full day of caching to be caught.
A bit of a slog with the puzzle. Not hard...just a bit of the old googlisation.
A loooong trip around the sand banks of Moreton bay, and a bit of wading the boat through the shallows, and we eventually had a chance to get to this one. Not a simple walk across to this one that I thought it might have been.
Thanks for the puzzle, geoart, and this cache.

What could have been an extremely short journey from our previous landing spot was much far longer in time and distance thanks to the low water levels. Nothing for it but to exit the boat and push it through the shallows before reboarding for the last 10 meters or so of deeper channel. No problems at GZ and another cache to add to our growing collection.
The lunar cycle and the resultant shallows meant this was quite a long journey from the previous puzzle.
"Would be quicker to walk" muttered Fungus. And with the low tide we considered this. Except that the last 50 metres would have been wet with a deeper channel. Never mind. having circumnavigated, we pushed the boat across the challow before motoring the last little bit.
A nice quick find. Thanks 4Ando

Was out on the water with the crew of the HMS Bromance. This cache was not so far from the previous find, but the perilous waters and sandy shoals meant we had a longer journey to get there. After finding the bottom I was flung overboard to fulfill my duties as ships ballast and commenced the pushing part of the journey until we found some deeper channels.
Thanks for the cache 4ando

Today teamdfl and I have set out to collect as many of this series of caches as possible, along with a couple of extra traditionals along the way. She had far more success at solving all the puzzles than I did, my contribution being exactly 5
We met up this morning at the beach area on the corner of Esplanade and Nassau Place, and put the kayaks in, blithely setting off on what we thought would be a long but relatively straightforward day. How wrong we were! By the middle of the day I was needing a constant tow, and by the end of it we were both struggling to make headway against the wind. The tide was way down, there was lots of dragging of the yaks, mud galore, small rays darting off everywhere, more mud. After finally clawing our way back to the more sheltered area, I was pretty well done by the time we struggled the last few kilometres to our starting point. Quite an adventure indeed!
Anti-clockwise it is Spot on co-ords here, although the camo made it difficult to see. Another [*FTF*] We took a break for morning tea here. TFTC, 4ando.

I managed to sort this one out quite quickly and get the green light from the checker.
The co-ords for this one were spot on, but it took us a few minutes to spot the container.
With one FTF we were hopeful, but not expectant of some more. The certificate with the pretty little bow was the first thing we were now looking for when we opened the container.
Another for the collection here. [^] Joint *FTF* with IolantheK
