Hi moomoo21This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no cache maintenance logged. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Oh dear the CO has not cached in 6.5 years and there is no guarantee his grandparents still live at this address as a previous finder noted there was a For Sale sign at the house. The letterbox is empty and it's been a while since anyone has found it, so in fairness to the new occupants the cache may need to be archived.
Over from Adelaide Australia as an expat kiwi, catching up with friends and revisiting areas Ive lived in before, Wanganui being one of themand of course picking up the odd cache along the wayLooks like this has been muggled TFTC
Had a quick look for this but the letterbox was empty.
Maybe the CO can check??
Thanks to moomoo21 and family for hosting this ...I hope to try again next visit.

Thanks moomoo21 for this letterbox cache, a very straightforward find. We notice a "For Sale" sign at the house so wondering if this one will continue.
One of our party has a fetish for letterboxes. Arriving at this spot, we tackled an incorrect letterbox before stumbling on the right one, where it was quickly unlocked then the contents inspected n signed. Thanks moomoo21 for giving us a reason to visit.
Another day in the land of the long white cloud. TeamARF, JACSTeam and I headed south to Wellington. Lots of rainy caching but still some awesome caches and spectacular locations. Thanks to all COs!!
Day 6: We ( TeamARF, Gcoven and myself) have travelled over from Brisbane, Australia to have a visit since we were not able to make it to the Mega. We have spent some considerable time solving puzzles and making plans in preparation. We have a gigantic list of old, interesting, highly favourited, challenges and a few Geo-arts to try and collect over the next 10 days. There is a good chance we got lazy with our logging, or space saving depending on the log size and do some joint variation of our initials - TGJ, GJT or JGT.
Today the plan is to work on collecting things of our list - in particular a bunch of great challenges (will check qualifying once home), some massively favoured caches, desired challenge fillings for back home and making a start on the Kiwi Geo-art.
Please excuse the generic log, just have extremely little data to try and survive on it for the 10 days. However, you can be assured that if we have found your cache it was special to us for some reason or in a special location - so thank you for contributing to our holiday.
I will edit logs when back in Brisbane to add more details to those that need more details and of course I will be adding favourite points as I go along.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ while we travel from Foxton Beach to New Plymouth. The day started with heavy rain, then drizzle, then fine by the time we reached Bulls for morning coffee.
Letterboxes are still pretty rare in NZ, so I always make a point of stopping for one. Pretty sure we found the original cache, and today, the cache was quickly found.
Grabbed the TBs to move on. TFTC.

Passing through Whanganui today but wishing I could stay and have a good look round. But a letterbox so close to my route through was too hard to resist. So a quick sidestep to sign it off. Its a very long time since the milkman delivered to the gate. I was brought up in the deep dark South so on those cold frosty mornings the milk was frozen like a slushy - yum! TFTC # 18,247
Sprinted across the road in a lull in the rain then retreated back to the van so Pengi could stamp the book. Sadly we saw no stamp to put in ours. Thanks anyway, we love letterboxing but prefer to do it when it isn't pouring down.
Added in a letterbox for D during planning of our trip — her stamp notebook’s looking great. Nice cache & memory, thanks moomoo21!
Loved this cache, thank you! Very easy to find. I added my stamp to your log and yours to mine. TFTC!
Tftc. Great little drive up and grab to do with my son while here to drop him off to us dad's.
Last one for the day. A quick find in the dark.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, moomoo21

Our first letterbox cache! Junior cacher had the honors of finding and signing while i ate my maccas sundae. Took nothing but left a rainbow eraser, some trading cards and other bits. Love the containers that are big enough for swaps. Tftc
I have been to the near by business many time for work training.
My Te Araroa adventure has been a blast and having an amazing time.
The rain won't stop us as we head off tomorrow to make our way to Bulls .so a rest day and reply before a great night's sleep. As always it great to be back on the road and on to our next destination Bulls . It my fist time in this part of the country and enjoying every step along the way and having a blast on my Te Araroa adventure.
So we managed to get out and on down the line .
A dry night in a cabin gave us a chance to get dried off and showered.
Now we set off in surch of the north is land terminals of the Te Araroa and then on to the mainland and south to bluff.
Cool cache
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.
From the beach of the north to the forest and lakes of the south
Blùff here i come
Getting out and about int the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching.
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!

Cache was quickly located as I had been here before, waved out to Grandad who was just farewelling someone as I was arriving. Has been a little while since I found a letterbox cache.
#12,297. Park and grab on Koromiko Road in Gonville, Whanganui. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside.
Took New Zealand Earthquake Relief Geocoin Bronze
Left nothing, signed log.

Went to grab the trackable from this cache but it is not in there unfortunately, but I did get to meet a friendly cat. Grabbed some swag, left some swag, tftc
Dropped off a Christchurch Earthquake memorial Trackable. This is a busy cache so hopefully will get picked up quickly.
In Whanganui, and this is our first find. Parked across the road and strolled across, all quiet on a lovely day. Cache found easy enough and TB taken. TFTC moomoo21, nice idea for a cache, especially a letterbox.
Travelling up from Wellington at the start of a lower Nth Island road trip that will take the best part of 10 days. Hopefully a few caches along the way, but we need to stop and smell the roses too, so most of them we get will be targeted with some specific goal in mind.

We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall earlier in the day so I was now out of action with a very sore and swelling ankle gk had to go to find the cache.
The instructions were nice and clear so an instant find here, we left a trackable
He signed the log and returned it as he found it.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Cache # 4,936 - I love letterbox caches, and they don't get any easier than this. Thank you so very much! TNLN. Signed both logs and stamped the right one. TFTC!
My First letterbox hybrid and I have left my stamp at home which is a couple of hours away so I will need to bring it next time I’m coming down this way.
Stopped in wanganui for a break n found this easy cache tftc

Driving today on a dot day so I looked for a cache to stop at, preferably something interesting. First I looked by size but then I noticed an easy letterbox - a type I haven't found in a very long time.
At GZ the cache was quickly found where expected.
Left a TB that I picked up in San Diego.

What an awesome cache! This was our first letterbox cache. Signed the look book, added a couple of things but took nothing. TFTC!
In Wanganui for the night and this was very close to accommodation so made a late night visit. No stamps with me on this trip unfortunately so just the "normal" logbook signed. TFTC
A letterbox eh? And another letterbox, even better. A nice place to sit and do the log, even better. Cheers
On the way out of Whanganui, suddenly realised there was a letterbox close. I like these unusual types. TFTC.
We're in Wanganui for EtherLady's family's Christmas gathering, so why not grab a few caches towards the current 3, 2, 1, Go promotion while we're outside of our normal caching grounds?
We're heading back to Palmy now, and EtherLady (foolishly?) accepted my offer to drive.
Mwahahaha! I wonder how many 'rest stops' I can manage along the way?
This was the first of the trip...
quick find in the most likely spot for this cache type.
Signed the log and left Mufasa and Rafiki toys.

We have just been exploring Wanganui with Infoferret. Now we are back to Zara for dinner. Then on the road in Toby to check out some more interesting places. Just had to drop by Olivers Letterbox and leave our calling card. Cheers
Day 2- Sunday, 15 December. Palmerston to Wanganui today.
With the Etherlord Kids in tow we head north towards Wanganui and the awesome Rattls BBQ. Then TS and I head towards Wanganui then team up with Infoferret for an afternoon of caching.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

After the barbecue Taybeedragon and I explored Whanganui's special caches. Like this letterbox. dropped in a path tag and stamped my notebook (attached!)
Day two of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki.
Left Palmerston North and headed to Rattll's Christmas Barbecue event. Managed to travel as far as Whanganui - it's going to be a slow trip!!

Passing through Wanganui to catch up with friends, so thought I'd stop and grab this nice and east Letterbox Hybrid. The only one in Wanganui I believe?
Anyway, a quick and simple find at GZ. I had the log signed and was back on my way before any Muggles could see what was going on, so thanks for placing this cache.

Found 10.50pm
Today,s challenge was to collect all the TMGT caches in the greater Wellington area plus anything else we could find.
Morning started from Marton with a DNF. Hoping this was not a bad omen.
Anyway things improved and we got everything we wanted for the day and ending back in Whanganui.
Collected also some interesting caches and probably my fav for the day was the caves. Also some amazing history in this area.
Thanks to all the cache owners for these placements. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... This weekend’s mission was about completing the North Island leg of the TMGT. It involved a fairly extensive road trip through the Wellington, Manawatu/Whanganui, and Taranaki regions. We also made a plan to pick up other caches along our driving route...
We decided to take the circuitous route to our accommodation - Factoring in this hide as we went. We reminded Gap that we’d been here before, when this was in its first cycle. A quick find - partly because we remembered how this was set. Thanks moomoo21 and TFTC.

Visiting Whanganui for a week and working at the hospital. Collecting some local caches while just exploring the town. Always good to get a letterbox. TFTC
A short walk from the motel and I had reached the GZ.
Unfortunately, I did not have a stamp.
2 TBs to travel to Europe taken, left a FP here.

Well this Westie crew took a 2 minute detour to find this cache, as I like to find Letterbox hides when I can.
I even left my stamp mark in your book (I am the kiwi!)
Reaching in I had the cache in hand, and then remembered that I had some TB's that needed to be dropped off, as I have been carrying them around the the North and South Island whilst we searched for the TMGT Geotour caches.
A fun find, thanks for the hide moomoo21

Road trip! A relocation of cars from Auckland to Wellington and return and a weekend trip away with rustynz and Rebel98 just 2 days this time to get the Geotour caches in Wellington and up to Wanganui, New Plymouth and then home. 2nd and last day.
Rusty and I have a letterbox challenge we are trying to meet and we need every one we can get. This one came along and rusty spotted it, so we did it and it is what it is! I wasn't sure about the actual letterbox being the cache but it was.

(# 5248). Off on a road trip from Wellington today to grab some caches for the Mystery At The Museum challenge. A quick find and signed on the step. Didn't see any occupants to wave to. Everything in order. TFTC
Spent a pleasant day caching in Whanganui. The forecast rain held off until late in the day which was good. Found one in Palmerston North hidden the same way not so long ago. Cheers and TFTC
There's always something a little unnerving about poking around in people's property, but a letterbox cache in a letterbox is always welcome. Found the container quickly enough and signed the log (also stamping my own logbook). Replaced as found. TFTC
This one has been on my list to find for quite some time but I don't often come to Whanganui. Today I had the opportunity to find it before heading back to Palmy. A nice quick find although I did walk up and down the street a couple of times to make sure I had the right letterbox. Thanks for placing a letterbox cache. I like these more unusual types.

Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
And still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored.
Day #10:
Today, the red rental-cache-car took me on a southbound journey from New Plymouth to Palmerston North .
I was especially out for some cool challenges , released by the Seagnoid near Palmerston North. But along the scenic route there were also quite some more geo-treasures [^] worth a stop.
Just like this one:
Here I had a short encounter with the friendly owner of the property (must be the uncle of the owner ), and we had a nice little chat...
A really cute and well maintained letterbox! [^]
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and cheers from Germany!

On a day trip to welly and back from Taranaki and we stopped at the nearby gas station to fill up. I enjoyed the short early morning walk here and logged and stamped before anyone noticed me in the neighbourhood. TFTC
I always enjoy finding letterbox caches. As suggested by the owner, I sat on the nearby steps while I completed the paperwork and stampwork. I grabbed the panda gift trackable that I will move on once it has been logged into this cache. It seems the cacher that placed it here is even more behind with their logging than I am.
Day 4/9 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. This was find #21/43 for the day and #190/526 of our trip.
While staying in Palmerston North we took a daytrip to Whanganui to see what we could see. It was a great day but so hot! A nice easy find and we enjoyed the step while we signing the log. We added some of our TBs and now we are off to find some shelter from this heat! We left our new signature item, a Rainbow Beadtail. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.

On our 24th day in New Zealand we travelled from Wellington up north to New Plymouth. On this route we had a number of geocaches on our bucket list, old ones we need for Jasmer Challenge and some challenge caches which are very valuable for our 81-matrix. And then there were many others to break up this long journey for us. Unfortunately there were a number of DNF's for us here on this route, also because we just did not have the time to search very long, and with others we just had to pass by because there was a lot of traffic today. But we had another great day and enjoyed also the nice weather. Thanks to the clear instructions in the listing it was a fast find. I guess otherwise we would have felt quite uncomfortable.

After avenging a DNF nearby, we looked around to see what else was interesting as we had a little time on our hands before we headed back to Wellington. A letterbox? Yay! so , a little detour on the way to Drury Hill, and parked up. A quick find followed thanks to the great instructions on a beautiful day visiting the river city. TFTC.
#6354. A group of Wellington cachers came up to the Whanganui region today to attend rattll's Christmas party event. A glorious warm summer day in the south-west. After the event we decided to drive around and pick up a few local caches. A letterbox cache was noticed by the team. Always good to pick these up when on offer. After a short look and read of the description the hiding place was located. Log duly signed by all and the cache returned to its holder. Thanks moomoo21 for the cache.
