A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.
After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.
After a late night last night, today was a little more laid back exploring some targeted caches around Brisbane and beyond.
I accessed this cache from the wrong side and so didn’t initially spot it, but found it soon after.
Thanks Ms Maddy for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

A Wednesday Madness day out today with SaintsMadHouse, we had decided to head over Laidley way and see what we would find, and with our rather delayed start, our first stop was to be at a cabinet makers before beginning any caching.
With business there undertaken, it was time to begin caching.
With not too much time left in our day, we dashed over to this one and made a quick find. The first time I’ve seen one of these “official covers” on this type of container.
Thanks for the cache Ms Maddy.

Found in between as I thought. It has been raining on and off all day as we toured around the area.
Staying in Gatton for work and found this one after dinner. Pretty straightforward find under torch light. Nice park.
Found this one nice and quickly while out on a drive around the area. It was our last day down in the Laidley area and we flew back up north today where, unfortunately, the weather is far from the perfect days we had while visiting. TFTC TNLN
We where on our way home from Greenmount to Brisbane, stopped of at Gatton to stretch our legs ..Notice few local caches, so off we went to see what we could find..Gotcha..tftc
Stopping in at Gatton for some brekkie on our way to visit the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary whne we spotted this great area.
After brekkie we went for a bit of a walk and found this cache. A recent severe mowing of the area made it easy to find.
After the cache we headed over to look at the Lights on the Hill memorial, coincidentally that song had just been playing in the car as we drove up to the park.
Thanks for the cache!

Getting a lift back from QOGM2022 in Charleville with JACS Team. She wanted a multi in this area and after we found that she asked if I minded doing a few more in the area. Always up for a few more so off we trundled. Quick find here and now our names are on the log. TFTC??
Was in the area after doing a huge huge drive from Charleville after attending this year Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. I had to make a detour to collect a particular multi further south after having collected the nearby target cache we had to drive through Gatton to get back on the highway. Had a quick discussion with my travelling companion for the day, EchoCage, and we decided to find the local caches whilst in town as neither of us would generally visit the town. Pulled up to this lovely big park and strolled over ground zero we circled the area playing eye spy in the hidey holes. With some good eyesight EchoCage spotted the cache as it’s camo was blending well today with the vegetation! Cache found, signed and replaced - then it was time for the next!

Quick little weekend away, exploring the country side, with the ultimate goal to complete some of the Map of Australia Geo-Art on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Nice easy find. Good condition. before a quick stop in the tourist building.
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for breaking the drive up **Ms Maddy**

I did a lap or two before looking closer and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Ahhhhh …. Nearly got hit by a swerving, out of control car down to the Lockyer this morning driving to work. The driver was okay, thankfully… car not so much. Decided that I haven’t geocached enough recently to die yet. I haven’t been to the Lockyer for a while, don’t really have much left to cache. Unfortunately people don’t like to put them out in this nice part of the country.
Thank you Ms Maddy for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

Found after dropping a dancing friend home and killing time before an appointment. Cache is covered in tiny biting ants but we managed to squeeze our names in the full log.
On my ay home from Helidon I took the scenic route.
Picking up a few caches along the way.
All good here
Thank you for hiding here Ms Maddy

A plan was formed recently to camp at Oakey over the October long weekend (due to Ekka being postponed) and tackle the art and a number of fun puzzles in the vicinity. The call went out to a few others we enjoy travelling with and the solving began! Lots of back and forth between members and we finally had a full set a few days out from the trip.
The roads were wet and muddy but that isn't going to stop a group of dedicated geocachers on a mission! The rain held off which we were grateful for however chunks of mud were often shaken off shoes before returning to cars and moving on to the next one.
As is always the case when caching with others there were many laughs and a great time had by all. Always a great sense of achievement when you've been working through a project over a number of weeks.
Thankyou for placing and arranging this series for our enjoyment. The fields and flowers were in bloom. Birds a plenty enjoying the roadside water sources. The scenery was refreshing. Always enjoy a taste of the countryside.

A group of us came together to reassemble the SSE, find all of Gravel's Travels and everything in between. This is a beautiful area. Some caches took my Corolla to places it shouldn't have been, especially after the rain. But we had fun, found a variety of hides and saw a variety of landscapes (and muddy roads).
A big thanks to all the CO's who gave us a reason to camp in a little town for the weekend. Those who don't make this a weekend holiday destination are missing out. Signed as Team Grav to avoid too many names on the log.

Travelling from Glen Esk to Warwick via the Esk-Gatton road, we stopped to find this cache, in the lovely little park, before continuing on.
Log book was full but I squeezed our name in.
Thanks for this break in our journey, giving Muggle Hubby and I the opportunity to stretch our legs.
