Logs
So sorry, took the log book as well as the dog 2 days ago. Have just returned it. At least it's starting off dry and in a new bag.
Nice easy find with coconuts3 today. Just clearing a few strays from the area. Wafted a wet log book in the sun for a bit and managed to sign. TFTC
Having a fun day out with busy paws and this was one on our list today. Log damp but waved in the sun and managed to turn page and gently sign. Thanks for this cache Kiwi864.
Had a few hours spare today so caching was on my do to list. Thanks for the cache
Very cool!
Took a while to find, but we found it!
The note book inside the cache was extremely soggy, and impossible to write in.
But apart from that, it was an awesome Geocache!
We went for a swim in the rain afterwards.

Out for a bike ride with the youngest completing the last of our missing caches along this stretch of the river. Log damp.
First cache found on our walk around this area. Started sprinkling on us but we decided not to turn back.

Taking a break from work to find some caches. Started off searching at the wrong place and then corrected ourselves and found the cache easily. Couldn't sign it though, really soggy. TFTC.

Full of water and pretty smelly. Left it out to dry for a bit and will put it back in the way through.
Out for a spot of exercise after my morning shift (night shift tonight & I need to keep moving so I can time my sleep right before hand). All up it was just over 5 km for four finds and a DNF.
Like others before me I made this look harder than it needed to be, but it wasn't *too* long a hunt. All good here.

Ah ha!!!! Found it! Thank you for the placement where it should be! Great relief for lolliequeen and i
Wasn't confident of finding this one. Only just started looking and stood on it. Didn't break it so put it back closer to the hint item
Convinced this isn't here. 2nd time here , now with lolliequeen. Please check...
It was a nice afternoon and called in here for a riverside walk on my way home. Last for the day. Thanks for the effort that has gone into this series and of course placing an maintaining the cache.
I was was walking with Mum and this was our first find . Thanks Kiwi864 for creating this hide. It was find 8886 for me.

Staying north of the Waimak for a couple of days of March madness.
The Passchendaele Trail complete. A few found around Kaiapoi and now I've crossed the Waimak to bike around Coutts Island.
This was a bit tricky and well hidden. I made a few false starts before finding the right spot.
Time to turn around and make some finds on the other side of the car.

Went out on the bike this afternoon to pick up some of these caches by the river. I had previously done a whole bunch of nearby Kiwi864 caches in the Christmas–New Year period two years ago when I was holidaying not too far away (as I’m doing now). Successful with all 10 I looked for today.
Took a few moments to get to the right trees (on the right) for this one. #2937. TFTC.

Found quickly once at right hint item. Having a wee rest before walking back to my car. I have only walked 11.49km so far today and it will be closer to 13km by the time I get back to the car.
After visiting [Red Rescuer](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5T218) we first thought we might bush-bash to this from the closest point of Coutts Island Rd. But after picking through thorns to the second stop bank, we discovered a metal quarry between us and the hide. So we drove to the end of Lorimas Rd, and added this to the end of our walk along the river. Cache quickly found. In good condition. TFTC
This is day five of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter there so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University. I am now heading to Christchurch and staying for two nights.
I came down to this area to do a few of the series. I moved the Geovan over to the parking area to be able to go both left and right to grab caches. TFTC.

Out for an afternoon walk. In the hot hot sun and I forgot the sunscreen and sunhat.
A beautiful day for a walk and some caching. This was the last one for us today. Our visitor from overseas found this cache so she was happy. TFTC.
GPS wasn't so keen on working, but a little thinking put the cache soon in hand. TFTC
A nice fine day and Iris was at a seminar all day so I got out the mountain bike and drove out to the Waimakiriri River to do some geocaching. Started the trail at the eastern end with the only dnf of the day! Searched very thoroughly in the area indicated by the GPS and hint but no success. Thanks for the cache anyway. Did almost stand on a possum and scared it right to the top of a tall tree! Twenty one finds today on the bike. Rodney.
Wow. This was a frustrating dnf. Now an easy F. thanks to previous finders. Forgot pen so here's pic
I'm going to annoy some DNFers by saying this was a quick find. Went via the hint, turned around and spied it immediately. Nice walk today. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent aka TB (prev known as BJ25). Find # 1780
We hunted for a bit with this one, but felt sure it was here somewhere. Almost ready to give up when Monsonclan spotted it. On our way back we met TeamBroadbent and assured him that it was there, so worth the extra walk to grab it. tftc
Out for a biking/caching mission with the family. Found a likely spot, but no cache. Hope it hasn't wandered off...

Found with mum on a wee walk - My GPS had been dead for a really really long time, so I almost forgot to log this one, as I've been so busy, and I normally rely on the GPS to tell me what I found!
Was only when I was looking at the map, I realised they looked familiar, and that I had infact been here with mum & baby girl for a wee walk!

Very nice walk with daughter and granddaughter in the fading light. This was a bit touch and go! Getting quite dark, and all three of us were walking up and down at this point, with the little one asking 'where is the geocache?' The GPS wanted us down by the post, so we tried reading the logs to shed a little more light on the actual location. Eventually daughter found it! TFTC!!
Found with StreetWalker (who had already found the cache last month) on another grey dismal, but thankfully dry winters day. Today I needed 8 finds to bring my find count for 17 June to a nice round 20.
I followed the geotrail while SW stayed on the track. Luckily he was with me as he stopped me from overshooting GZ and pointed out where the cache was hidden, otherwise I may have been searching a while. TFTC.

No luck at all - and we spent ages searching for this box (large? really?). The area has seen a lot of searches from the elephant tracks, but that still did not help us.
#15642. This one gave me a lot of trouble. It was the fifth of the five I was after, and a DNF would have been bad, with no other unfound caches handy. Eventually I took the PAF option, and gained a good description of where to look (which lead to a quick find). Whew! That's all for today. Weather permitting, I'll be back out this way again in June on selected days of the month. TFTC.
I was in need of finding 6 caches today to fulfill a personal daily challenge. A perusal of a map of my unfound caches showed that my requirements could be satisfied with a cyclocache ride from home. Once the forecast rain clearance arrived I set out in sunshine. This was the first cache I targeted in what turned out to be a pleasant 21.5km cyclocache ride.. Took me a few minutes to locate as my gps initially kept pointing elsewhere. It was only after I had my hands on the cache that the gps finally agreed with me. Thanks for the placement Kiwi864.
It did take us a while to track it down and finally had a hand on it. Signed a aslan
Took much longer than it should have. Thankfully Stormshadow came up with the good in a place I had checked but not well enough. TFTH
It took a wee while to track down but persistance paid off for this last Cache today on this lovely Track
A group of Horse Trekers arrived just as we had put it back..Lovely gentle Animals..TFTH

A few checks in the likely spots and found it at one. Gps not reading too accurately along here. Thanks for the hide.
Nice too hard to find!!! Met two other cyclists and had a chat on the move. Plenty of elephant tracks. And the sun is still shining. Great.
A nice and quick find. Cheers.
A few new caches on the river trail that I have yet to collect, so today is the day. I need a bit of exercise! Cheers
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

On this section of track for a couple of new caches, met up with TheWanglers. Failed at the multi east of here then walked past to the new cache west of here and found this on the way back. Didn't take too long, even if I did get a bit carried away with the up bank hint. Much lower down than I was expecting... GLB1721 TFTC (4327)
Went to far and had to back track. Plenty of elephant tracks around the cache area. TFTC

I was kind of first to DNF this one. gave it some 15 minutes and was too hungry to give it more. Went off to get the new one and met Me&Pedro on the way. They were kind enough to point me to the right grassy spot. I had checked within about 30cm from the cache twice before!
