Up from the Can visiting family. The geobro, goldfinger777, had a 'leave pass' for a few hours so off we went for a holiday geomission! Big Grin

Found after a few moments of searching. Fun hide although the dampness/rust etc of the cache left a revolting smell on my hands [xx(]

Thanks for the hide, Seemyshell Smile

Met up with fitzy65 and minniek for a fun day out and a big caching adventure.
A few good safe hides and not many muggles around.
Cache condition is OK/good.

Headed out for a days caching with fitzy_1965 and Roostaman.

Quick find here today once we got through all the underbrush....parking was a bit precarious though.

20,889. Found during a caching loop from Moss Vale, Wollongong and up to the Sutherland Shire with minniek and our caching Mate from Wagga - Roostaman !!

I mentioned to Roostaman - who was in Moss Vale for a few days caching - that we were heading down Wollongong way for a few specific caches, and we decided to team up again for what turned out to be a pretty epic day. Heading up the highway now and we started the SSFTFH Power Trail. The traffic was picking up now and parking was 'fun' ! Bush-bashed to GZ for the find.

TFTC Seemyshell !!

With the current climate of restrictions lifting, its time that we are all allowed to go Geocaching once again.

To help stop the spread of Covid-19, The Australian and NSW Governments requires everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.

While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.

Who knows how long this pandemic will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.

As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable all my caches and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find on any of my hides whilst the caches are disabled.

Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates, and stay safe.

Cheers

# 5826 Grabbed while overnight in Campbelltown after a Xmas party. After a few DNFs in and around Campbelltown, I decided to try my luck on this trail. It was getting quite warm and I knew I would not have time to complete it. I enjoyed the variety of caches and the bushland, but sadly this road is one long tip.
Thanks Seemyshell

Well after a day at a conference today was my free day to grab a few caches around the Sydney area. My first target was the Sunderland ftf trail and after that the plan was to go through the suburbs grabbing a few caches on the way back to the hotel. Ended up with 73 for the day plus a few dnfs, which is hard work on your own.

Tftc and making my day so enjoyable.

The caches on the Sunderland ftf trail were brilliant. So much work into making some of them.

Out this afternoon with SmudgeyCat finding the rest of the caches in the Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds Power Trail that I hadn't already previously found. Was searching for these as part of the clue hunt to solve the Mystery at the Museum puzzle.
Most of the caches were easy to find, though the 'hanging' ones were generally a lot more difficult. Due to the recent bushfires, there is some dead-wood undergrowth and black soot still on the stems and trunks. So a word of warning - don't wear good clothes, as they will get covered in black soot, and possibly scratched. Also drive, park, and walk with care along the road, as in some places there are big trucks rambling past just a few feet away. You'll probably need a good five hours to do the entire series, and four eyes are definitely better than two for some of the finds.
For this cache - read the hint, and then it was a quick find. Oink Oink. Found with SmudgeyCat M. TFTC Big Grin

Great concept for a series. Not a fan of busy and notoriously dangerous Heathcote Rd though. Being close to home we tackled part of the pt for mystery at the museum clues! Got what we came for. TFTC seemyshell xo

Very pleased to find another cache on my side of the road! I had intended grabbing the ones on the other side on my way to the Mega but I ended up on a different highway and it was already dark by the time I left Sydney so a bit of duck and diving across the busy highway today. TFTC # 14194

I decided to take myself on a little drive along this road studded with caches - I could not belive how busy it was, I had to be very careful pulling off the road and back into traffic. Great set of hides, TFTC!!

Found at 10:39:40 AM: GAFF1 in the company of Alansee.
What a messy extraction that was!
Thanks Seemyshell

Did these in the company of pprass. The day started off iffy and steadily went downhill weather wise. We managed 16 of the series before giving it away. The cars and trucks didn'nt help either.

This was the last day of our current geocaching holiday in Australia, and so we couldn't resist the opportunity to make the most of the last few hours we had before heading off to the airport to fly back home to search for the first 26 caches in this series. It was a crazy road to cache on with the traffic being so busy and fast, and so with the close spacing of the caches it really felt like playing dodgems as well as geocaching! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Tackled the 'Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds' powertrail today.

Pros:
Variety (users and containers)
Coordinates (pretty accurate)
Great to see the regeneration here after the fires!

Cons:
Dangerous road (100km/h, high traffic area, limited shoulder space)
Pollution (rubbish and car parts)

We were stopped by the Australian Federal Police, but after explaining what Geocaching is, they let us go on to continue the rest of the trail.

Thanks!

Trip away with woolwood9 and slowly heading to the Clear Waters MEGA.
Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ.
Another nice find for us today, thanks for putting this cache out.

*Really felt unsafe in places on this trail - the traffic was crazy!!*

24-Mar-19
Browsed this power-trail and impressively, it has tripled in size since my last visit about a year ago! So brought my cross-bike down to wittle a few more away.
Due to muggle activities (#15) and placements on different sides of Heathcote road, I eventually visited in the order: 13, 14, 16, 22 to 31, then 21 back down to 17 and 15.
Thanks to all the CO's who have contributed to this collaborative power-trail.
Clearly, the geocaching community is alive and active in the Sutherland Shire.

Hmmm ... this little fella seems to have had a little too much to drink. Happily, the inner container is water-tight.

#5756 (6 of 6 today)

Another day when I need some finds for my Calendar Day goal. Today I need two and I usually have little time to get any as I’m at the Cricket Test. But today I have an engagement party - don’t they know what day it is.
If I get out early I can make a few finds, and the FTF Power Trail is the best spot for that.
so out the door just after 6:30 am...

Had enough time for six finds before needing to head home. Really knocked itvout of the park today!

All were easy finds, which really made this work well.

With 30 in the FTF series, it was time to give this trail a crack. I had Team MavEtJu with me to lend another pair of eyes and hands and we made it from 30 to 1 in 3hr 15min. There were a few uncomfortably-close-to-speeding-traffic moments which does detract from the journey but it’s not really a park and grab scenario either.

Hint lead us one way but then I saw something that could fit - ah ha! Extracted the log, gently, and tucked everything back into place.

Thanks Seemyshell for being a FTF hound and participating in the series.

Not sure about the clue as I looked all over even the burnt out wheel but no joy. Was about to give up when near GZ I saw a pink pig lying on the ground (no haven't been drinking as I see elephants then) and to my surprise there was a container inside.
Signed log and put back where I though it went.

Found Smile -- 12:34 pm -- Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location *Seemyshell*.

**Cache Condition:** Good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in this cache today.

**The Cache**
Sooty or snooty?!?! Nice and easy compared to earlier finds in the thick bush didn't take too long to find. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. I managed to miss a few caches so had to return to get them which messed up my sequence. I noticed how pongy it is along this road today, I thought there must be a tip nearby.

**The Day**
Woke up this morning bright and early and wondered what to do today - ah yes, I'll go geocaching, and why not visit *Seemyshells* hotel and drop off some trackables and run the **Sutherland Shire FTF Hound(s) Track**, so I bounced out of bed and looked at the sky, very foggy and overcast looking, but I heard the sun was going to shine, and shine it did.
Gorgeous day and quite warm while on the trail. Had four left to find, and desperately wanted to knock them off, but I know there will be more caches coming out and after missing this find I figured the remainder didn't matter - next time will do. Had to cut the day short anyway and urgently get home. OCW *DustyJapserJet*. Had a fantastic day !!! but when don't I when I'm out caching.

22-Aug-18
After successfully completing some Woronora River caches in the canoe we came this way to pick up the as yet unfound caches in this series. We worked so that the caches were always on the left hand side of the road, so partway through the list we did a U turn to find the rest.
There was no difficulty in finding the containers, especially as fire had cleared the vegetation around most of them.
It was good to see the regeneration of the trees and other greenery starting to happen.
Thanks go to Seemyshell for this cache placement.

Picked a few of these on the way home today. My cache Achilles heel is the ones that are "hanging." Didn't find any of those. TFTC

24-Jul-18
In our final week of school holidays we headed out fora days caching with the Rats.
Dad said we'll take the bikes and do a bit of bike riding... well it turned out to be a great day as we rode around the streets on a beautiful sunny day. The "many" series was alot of fun.

We finished our day with a few finds in the FTF hound series.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun day.

24-Jul-18
With the hidden creatures souvenirs almost wrapped up I was wondering how to get a few more finds to accumilate a few more souvenirs. Realising a few of my caching buddies had done this series I dragged the mini rats along with me as they were still on school holidays. We headed up here with the bikes for a fun riding in the sun.

The hides were alot of fun and challenging at times, the area was excellent for getting around by bikes and being midweek the muggle factor was minimal.

We finished our day coming home via Heathcote Rd where we grabbed the latest few caches in the FTF hound series.

Thanks to all the hiders for a great day out. Smile

Whilst in the area grabbing some caches for the SSCC cache I thought I would check on this cache following the bush fires. Not many places to hide a cache here after the fire but this CO has managed to do so. Well done & TFTC SMS.

Grabbed this on my way to work. Even before starting the hunt I was covered in black from the bushfire remains. Eventually locating the hide nice and safe. TFTC

Checked on this last week for CO but it had been destroyed by bushfire. Returning now it's been replaced I used a wider search and a PAF to see new camo and cache holder. I wonder where CO gets these containers from sometimes. This one had me thinking of Kermit! TFTC

16-May-18
On our way out for a day of caching to the west and by chance decided to stop and check this cache out as it has been replaced after the devastatingg fires that went through here recently.

One would think that with all the bush burnt this would be an easy find. Not so for us today. So without wasting any time off we went. I PAF'ed the CO who is in transit to the USA to do some Mega caching. He replied with the updated hint.

Roll forward to the afternoon and on the way home after a big caching day. Stopped, looked, looked some more and using the hint found the hide. On the day my GPSr indicated that the hide is 20 metres away from where the coords took us Hmmm.

We signed the log and rehid the cache. TFTC Seemyshell.

Cache replaced, and I’ll update hint accordingly..

While checking on my own and grabbing #22. I thought I'd see what remains of this one. Nothing! All burnt out along this section, so don't think it survived. Not many hiding places left either!
