Add another DNF for us on this one.
We spent time and looked around all the likely locations that the hint suggested.
One for another day if it's still there.

Bush Track and I had a really good look and then asked the CO for more info but still didn't have any luck. Maybe next time
Well that was an interesting adventure walked into the bitterly cold wilderness alone leaving my partner in the toasty warm car I followed the coordinate but found nothing on the three stumps there I then shifted my gaze and it fell upon a new beginning and there was my treasure what a sight to behold I quickly signed my life away and proceeded to exit the wilderness to the warmth of the car ..
TFTC. Cache and contents in excellent shape. This is my 2nd find for the 22/02/2022.
This cache was definitely an adventure to remember! Following the coordinates I entered the thick bush. Standing still, surveying my area I suddenly heard a strange noise. Walking closer I noticed something, or even somethingS peeping around the trees. Six colourful figures stepped out before me. I recognised them as the six yowies, Ditty, Boof, Squish, Rumble, Crag and Nap! They greeted me cheerfully once I expressed my geocache mission, and even helped to point me in the right direction! #12685 - 9:46:00 AM; Jumped through all of the hoops and made it to Tasmania for a couple of weeks of R&R with family. Before the trip south even started we were turned away from a testing station after waiting in line for 45 minutes. Returned the next morning and waited two hours for the pleasure of having a pipe cleaner shoved down our throats and then up both nostrils. Got the results back earlier than expected that night then hit the road south, hoping the rules wouldn't change before we reached the Apple Isle. The departure time for the ferry was delayed and it finally departed just before 11pm. Finally disembarked around 11am and much to our relief, entry was granted. Picked up a few caches on our travels as well as some DNFs along the way. This one wasn't on the list for today, but decided to make a quick stop as I was passing. Made the hard way in through the bushes and forest litter to GZ wearing inappropriate footwear which kept falling off. Wandered around a bit before I finally laid hands on the cache and added my name to the log! Took the easy way back to the geomobile and set off on the next leg of the mission. TFTC Grumbligrot
Best cache location ever!!!! If the unparalleled views of the Tamar River were not enough on their own to bring you to this location then the free icecreams they give away here will really help seal the deal! No thanks for this cache!
This afternoon was free to collect geocaches in the North We decided to head to George Town to collect outstanding caches in the area.
Like the notion of this cache and we are consciously attempting to do longer posts at the moment. Parked up at the side of the highway and headed into the bush, the gps played up a little so had us circling for a little while. Soon narrowed it down though and once looked from the right angle soon had cache in hand. TFTC

Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.

To be honest we are not sure what we’ve stepped into since arriving on the island,it’s like a time warp. We’ve gone back 30 years and reminiscing of fashion and food from that area. No surprise to us to see people walking around with lumps on there necks, we took a chance and stepped out into the wilds to get this cache... it was like a scene from purge as two headed zombies started the chase. We split up and met back at the car. Hubby got the cache and now where not sure if we should be venturing out at all with out some king of weapon. We’ve heard of these stories both thought it an urban myth, but it’s real. Be wary fellow cachers

spotted something that might match from the car so headed straight for that and bingo we was rewarded with the goods. Thanks
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot. RLD4963 and I had just flown in from overseas! After landing in Melbourne, we wandered around a few suburbs that were particularly hot, and then headed back to the airport and jumped on a plane to Launceston! We then decided to head north to Low Head. On the way we say a thylacine standing on a hillside overlooking the Tamar - that was nice. We thought it would be nice to stop and look for this cache on the way to Low Head. As RLD4963 had found it a couple of years earlier, he remembered exactly where it was, and parked right next to it! Then, just as I jumped out of the car, it started snowing (actually that might have been earlier in the day when we were at Cradle Mountain). Eventually, I found the cache and added my name to the log. Thank you for adding to the caches in the area, and thanks for encouraging cachers to write non-generic logs! A favourite from me.
Lies all lies it was a tree well soon to be.
Are we in Georgetown.? I don't think so. Got this geocache after getting little green frog. Miss Ozbull is getting sick of sitting in her car seat she will be 2 in may so geocaching trips can be boring as SiNr88 is driving us today and Blackers1 and I are jumping out to find these road side short stroll ones. We are having a late afternoon drive on a Saturday night

Which way in, which way out. The two youngsters braved the thicket and found the treasure
You wanted a lie. Well it was extremely difficult to find. Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache.
Well I was out and about finding some caches for the day so I prepared myself with some snacks and a power bank to keep the phone charged. Having found about 18 I began to head home when I saw this one not far from the road. I'll just make a quick stop and grab another I thought. BIG mistake I realised rather quickly as the bush closed in, the darkness descended and the ground was completely covered with leaves, twigs, branches and bark. IT'S A MICRO you idiot I thought, how to find a small object in such a spot. Well the snacks would have been handy but I had already eaten them and the power bank was back in the car 200m away. Hint? mmm. Previous logs? maybe, Geo-sense? GPS +/- 10m under the trees. Just look I thought and there it was. So obvious
This one was a tricky one as I had to machete my way through the undergrowth and then I came across a massive brick wall which I had no way of climbing, so I got a ladder out of my pocket and proceeded to scale the wall, once over I was confronted by a massive chasm and there was no way across - this had to be one of the hardest geocaches ever and I am not sure about the low terrain rating - anyway, got out my climbing gear and was eventually across after falling over 300 meters to my death, so, now I was a zombie and I should get to this cache without any problems. So lumbering through the undergrowth once again I came to a massive tree stump and when I peered over the side I promptly fell in but found the caches along with a couple from Bavaria who apparently couldn't get out. I signed the log book, found a grappling hook and climbed back out and helped my new found friends out and was on my way. TFTC
My two young side kicks and I ventured into the wild wilderness looking for this find.
We stubbornly hacked our way through the thick forest looking for this hidden treasure.
My youngest side kick (only younger by a few minutes). Screamed out. "I've found it". Thus making our adventure into the thing wilderness short. But eventful.
Great find. We do have to go back tho and fix the cable tie that broke when we tried to write in the find.

On our tour around Tassie we made here a quick stop.
After a while looking we can find the cache. We are always astonished what for a beautiful area are along the main road.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Yeah!!! Someone else who believes in decent logs!!!! With over 10000 finds [GCA and GC] we are proud to say we have never written a generic log or just used a TFTC or similar.
We have a cache ourselves called 30 PLUS where we request a log of at least 30 words, we would have liked to be able to delete logs of under 30 words but this wasn't allowed!!!!!
As for this cache it was quickly found and the clue made sense once we saw the hiding place. The excitement happened though when we found a bag of money on the way to the cache. Hadn't heard of any bank robberies recently so we were a bit torn about what to do with it.
We could hand it in to the police station or keep it and fund an overseas caching adventure. Or we could hire a helicopter and get lowered down to all those geocaches on top of mountains that we'll never walk to.
At this stage we are hanging on to it until we decide what to do!!!!!!
Thanks.

Lie to me, what a strange name for a cache, why is it so? The stump wasn't 'lying' down, all was good at GZ and the coords were accurate. We did spot some dodgy characters when we pulled up, but they were gridge98 and his Mum hoping we weren't the land owners. We should have lied then and said "what are you doing here?" All good, no lies were told and no cachers were harmed. TFTC
Today we went out and about with Whitewebbs and headed to the George Town and surrounds to find caches published since our last visit.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition. Great to Meet Gridge98 and his mum at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

THIS IS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!!!
I was trying to work out if you can just lie and say you found it similar to the LIAR LIAR in the us but I thought that may cause some issues. Managed to meet the fellow caches here.
Today I decided I would head up to pipers river to collect a multi and then continue over to Georgetown/low head to pick up the remaining few caches I had left to find it the area. A total of 17 finds turning 6 DNFs into smileys. Was great to even run into some fellow cachers: Tassietrekers and whitewebs on their journey in the area.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

There is no issue with this cache, we have permission to locate this cache in this location
Camped at Launceston, out along the Tamar today for a few caches. DNF’ed this one a couple of years ago.Quick find, good coordinates. Cache all good. TFTC
Thank you for the cache. Maggie the great GeoWestie caching with Carer. Angus 88 and I stumbled through the wet leaf litter and we unexpectedly espied it.
Was stumped for a while but stomped around inspecting stumps with Maggie2. Stumbled on to the right stump or was it on the left but then it was just In front of me untiI I turned my back. TFTC.
There was a little girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead, when she was good, she was very good indeed, but when she was bad she was horrid.. thanks..!!
Tricky! Spotted it whilst reading the logs talking about brown snakes and treading carefully! TFTC
I was out today getting geocaches in order to claim a few more souvenirs. I wasn’t sure wether to get this one or not as the weather had turned very nasty. I was only two kms away so I decided to drive on. Which side of the road - I of course chose the wrong side and then tried to go along the dirt track but it was a dead end. Came across two other cars “parked “ at the end of the road. I reversed quickly back feeling very out numbered - why were they down here on a very wet and wild day - certainly not picnicking!! Back on the main road and up a bit further and parked opposite GZ. Standing on the side of the road in the torrential rain and a truck goes past and I am soaked through - umbrella of no use! The heavy rain had made rivers around the path to GZ and my foot attire was not appropriate so I soon was squelching my way to GZ. At GZ it was an easy find, however I had to get back to the car and cross the road again. It happened again a truck went by and soaked me from head to foot. That was the last geocache I was finding today as I needed to go home and dry out. Unfortunately this is not a lie but what really happened today.
Out and about with Lil Rafa to get caches for the Hidden Creatures series, all the way to Low Head, we found, signed and replaced the cache, completing the find. TFTC TNLN log dry, cool nights but nice days.
So, you think you’ve got it bad: after being bitten by an enormous brown snake, fined for trespassing on private property, stung by nettles and feinting from sunstroke, waking up to frostbite after being licked on the face by a St Bernard with brandy breath, I finally decided it was all to hard!
The stumped princess got taken away from me, my love. The beast took her from me and the only way to get her back was for I her white knight to retrieve the black bison, bring it to the beast and he will free my princess. I made my way into the forest on my black horse and together we travelled through the night on a mission to find the bison. My horse and I were getting tired and hungry so we stopped for food and to rest for a while...It was then, right there in the distance, the corner of my eye, I saw it. I got on my feet and walked over and grabbed the bison....Magically, my princess appeared and I had her in my arms. The beast took the bison and put it back in the cave. My princess, my horse, and I went off into the sunrise.
Ewe found lie to me. Had me nearly stumped after bashing my way through the bush kicking two large brown snakes out of my way and brushing the jack jumper ants off my legs I knew I was close to the geocache as I could smell where some geocachers had been in the area in the last couple of days so it was easy for me to follow there tracks which led me to the geocache.simple. Well hid Grumbligrot.
Was too late to head out looking last night when notification came through for this new cache, so the FTF went begging, but I made a slight diversion and stopped on the way home from work tonight to find it and claim a second to fnd.
I won’t lie, I was looking for a stump, and when I couldn’t find a stump I was scratching my head as to what i was supposed to be looking for. Then I spotted a stump that sort of is a stump, but isn’t a stump. It was a stump, but it’s now a tree, pretty amazing how nature works.
My excuse for taking so long to find it is that it’s been a long day, and it was just getting dark, and the not so stump sort of blended in with its surroundings and was naturally camouflaged.
Once I found the stump, I knew I had the right stump, and thought now I’m gong to be here all night trying to find the cache( I traditionally struggle with Grumbligrots little caches hidden in trees and bushes) but thankfully I found the cache quickly once I was in the right spot and soon had the log signed and back on the road home fir a well-being deserved refreshment.
Thanks for another great cache Grumbligrot, hope I didn’t waffle on too long about the stump that isn’t a stump.
Cheers

Mr y'stassie had just come home after a visit to Dracula (aka, Pathology) and found Mrs y'stassie watching the womens' triathlon from the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. At the same time we did a routine check of our email and noticed this new cache. Well, the task for the rest of the morning was obvious but in the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, a mere ride in the car was not good enough. Multimode transport was essential. We looked in the garage and noticed that one of our daughters and her partner had left their bikes for safe storage. There were also two kayaks. So, wearing our designer lycra, we headed off on the bikes towing the kayaks on their trolleys. There was a good tail wind (no, we hadn't been feasting on baked beans) and we made really good time. It wasn't long before we got to Beauty Point. We secured the bikes and got the kayaks into the water. A quick paddle and we were across the Tamar and in Pipe Clay Bay, a mere 3km from GZ. With unlimited energy today, we broke into a jog and then a serious run and got to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. And to our delight it was a {FTF} at 12:05. We had got to the cache and found it using three disciplines: bike riding, kayaking and running - not the conventional triathlon, but still three disciplines or modes of transport. As the westerly winds had picked up we didn't fancy pushing into a headwind. So Mrs y'stassie used her shoe phone to call up a special geomobile known as "Kit" which arrived at supersonic speeds (detouring to pick up the bikes and trolleys at Beauty Point) and then collecting us and taking us home in time to log this adventure. That made four modes of transport to find this cache. A great day and an understated account. Would WE lie to you? Thanks Grumbligrot for an interesting variation on a cache.
