Hi Poiter.h,

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 45 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 45 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

We came back when passing through Cessnock with checked coordinates but found nothing despite a good long look at GZ and for some distance around. I did find a bird's nest though and the egg on the ground.

19-Aug-20
It was late in the afternoon and getting very cold and windy. I could not convince MrsFish to get out of the warm car so I headed up the steps and came up with a good total. Having headed up there with no mobile or GPS I then had to go back to the car to calculate GZ then headed up there again to check the count. Two firefighters were already using the steps for physical training, they probably wondered why an older fellow like me was also going up and down too. Anyway, I walked to GZ and a very likely place for a cache but there were too many possibilities without knowing how accurate the coordinates were, so after a lengthy search there and nearby I headed home but will watch any new logs with interest.

Not sure if it’s still there, or if I was looking in the wrong spot

Nice way to start the year. A step counting multi....
We counted and calculated, oh - to the bitumen, so fixed the count and recalculated. But with no way to check our calculations and no definite GZ we wandered. A PAF couldn't help as GZ seems to have been shifted a long way. A post-DNF PAF confirmed we were probably searching in the right locale..... bugger. We might drop back if some finds are logged.....

Completed a while ago but forgot to log

The first time we came up the stairs we were out by one, and so we couldn't find it. Counting again, we realised we had made an error, and with the new co-ordinates we made a quick find. TFTC!

I got a bit worried when I saw the previous couple of dnf's but thought I would give this cache a try anyway while in the area. My youngest daughter and I walked the steps and got the same answer at the top , thankfully coming up with the same answer, I did the maths but like the prvious dnf's my answer didn't look right so I looked at the hint and tried a different approach a short walk and saw the cache just laying out in the open. I signed the log and covered a little better. Thanks for the cache Poiter.h tnln sl

TFTC from the Viking,
Needed to stretch the legs after a long drive. . .so walked the steps. . .did the calcs. . . walked in the wrong direction (WTF ???) GPS grrr. Walked back and spied something likely in the right vicinity and soon had CIH.
All good.

Not sure if we counted our steps correctly. Ended up in a lane way and didn’t want to search too hard as plenty of muggles around. Have messaged owner to see if we were totally off!

May of miscount the number of steps so was led to the middle of a house. There was no real way of checking if had the coordinates correct after completing the sum but still had a good walk.

TFTC. Found today after climbing the steps and getting fit. Luckily it was a coolish day. The GPS was a little off on my phone but I used my eyes and commonsense and found it quickly once I had my bearings right. I was the first to sign the new log which I am sure you were "banking" on. I nabbed it.

Did the math, but no good today. This was our last one for the day and unfortunately it had to be a DNF. Waiting for a confirmation of our calculations from CO.

Cache is now ready to be found.

NOTE: co-ords have changed.

The number of steps hasn't changed but the Maths has changed.

Happy hunting

Second attempt on this one. No luck again. Done a recount of steps but ended up close to where we were last time. There has been a recent demolition here and there was limited access due to building materials, temporary fences etc. Providing it was not on the demolished structure, we will try again at a later date.

This one may need to be checked on. We rang a previous finder after an extensive search and they explained the hiding location. I found some rocks which would have covered the container but no container was found. Some recent works in the area may have disturbed the hide or has been muggled.

Please check on this one

Had a nice morning walk and counted the steps but got a bit lost heading to GZ. Got there in the end. Thanks

Now this one took quite a long time. Walked up the steps, counting, got to the top, did the sums - nothing. Went back to see previous logs, got aussieben's notes, and tried a re-calculation - because I had of course counted the steps above the bitumen road. However the steps above the road were fairly indistinct, and I couldn't remember exactly how many I'd counted. Being lazy, I didn't want to go all the way down, and then back up again, so I did substitutions. Some of these would have had me in people's backyards, or down in the bush. Eventually made the find. Tftc!

Took the littlest geokid for a drive this morning.

This was our second stop. Like others we got a bit confused about where to stop counting as there are some ongoing stairs which completely stuff up the numbers.

Fortunately we were confident enough on the south, and traced a line back - chose a likely spot, and there we have it.

I managed to embed a splinter under my index finger nail retrieving the cache. Ouch. Be careful folks. Smile

Great to see someone new placing a cache though. Well done. TNLN TFTC

I was in Cessnock picking some things up so thought I would grab a few caches too. Aussie Bens log is very helpful as to when to stop counting so I got the right coords first go. A good little multi I reckon I must have been found it minutes after thegarbageman. TFTC

FTF after tearing out of the house with AussieBen and Geowife in tow trying for another cache which we were beaten too. we went across to attempt this one and lick our wounds , after entering the treadmill of a stair climb and darkness gathering we soon discovered a quandary de we keep counting or to stop what was the CO intention so figured to keep going but soon realised that we were going to upset the locals by searching within their boundaries so a slight backtrack and things evened out but we really wasn't quite sure of the end count with the hints now making sense we made an easy find in the darkness, many thanks for the cache in a rather barren cacheless city
side note , This FTF must have be for us as it was hidden on My Birthday Smile

*FTF* with kingfisher-au after finding the other new cache, we decided to head off and have a go at this one. As we were walking up the stairs, the number just kept growing (a hint for other finders - stop counting at the bitumen pathway) and we had soon over counted onto the the next stairway and this placed our coordinates a long way off in someone's yard - a bit of backtracking and we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here Poiter.h.
