Day 25 of my interstate trip. Today I left Gillenbah early and my goal for the day is to make it Home.. I managed to get 6 along the way today.Have been meaning to clean up these 3 random caches along the boarder but never seem to have the time do it so made sure to get them today. TFTC Freddo
We're meandering home, after attending 2 awesome Megas over this side of the country, via a few little deTours as we go.We'll be going back across the Nullarbor, back to our Seaside home eventually, before WAGB 2024.Thanks for this one on our travels.TFTC
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I are working our way towards Canberra for the Easter Capital GeoBash Mega. At Paringa for a couple of days of rest and maintenance although we did have a couple of targeted caches at MacCabes Corner today. After a great day, we settled in for sundown drinks and nibbles which is always enjoyable at the end of a good day, only it turns out it wasnt the end a caching for the day. Diligent Deana discovered a sought after D/T rating along the SA/Vic border trail. Luckily, I was enjoying another AFD, so a tad before 1900hrs, 3 of us made the dash. It was never going to be a quick trip as there were about a dozen other caches on route. We grabbed this one along the way. Another great day for caching. TFTC Freddo
TFTC Freddo your cache Time Travel Made Easy. The Dark Side. that we found today. We had had a big day with a long kayaking adventure and other caches on the way back to Paringa. Sitting around talking about the day with Wollaston and MeandDewe decided to head out to the border to find some more caches. It turned out to be a longer trip than originally planned. Just one more turned into several more. A nice haul of 10 for the evening.. Find Count: 19079 .
Sitting around discussing puzzles and D/T and LGA and I realised that there was a D/T nearby we needed to help us along to our 9th loop. I discussed with M the possibility of a late afternoon excursion since it was less than 1/2 an hour away but then Wollaston realised he needed it too. HansandLinda are always keen to find just a few more so I left M behind and we headed out in Wollastons' vehicle to grab just a few more finds for the day. Thanks for find #5767TNLN
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that VK7HCH and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

Tftc Freddo, made the find with no trouble, the Vic border fence is a sharp contrast to the SA side.

A geocaching holiday taking in SA and Vic. We didn't plan to head this way but considering we grabbed a nearby cache we must venture a little further.
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog for placing for all to enjoy. Cache in good condition. Left swap.

This cache was our turn around point. Too far to the next one. Time was rocking backward and forward by 30 minutes on each movement of my 9 point turn!
What time is it now?
Nice to know we are not facing a police interrogation this time.......
Thanks Freddo
We separated from Tassie Trekkers today with Budgie, SSR and I heading along the Murray toward Mildura and surrounds today. The high river levels prevented us from getting many of our chosen caches but we still found some good ones and enjoyed the day.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Found this cache while out caching with Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
We drove from South Australia, to Victoria and down the Murray river, swapping between NSW and Victoria, collecting LGA's as we drove down to Mildura
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

Lockdowns, lock outs etc had stopped as from getting to Millicent a few times and also On Ya Bike Series. Finally things fell into place and B@W, Crash, PPE and Tardis 0061 (later to sign as BCPT for our initials or Big Cycling Power Trail amongst other things) were on a week long road trip into SA. Various select caches and locations were targeted on the way over and back for LGA's and other stats.
A quick find here and we completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Staying in Renmark for a short holiday, using caching as a guide as to where we travel. 41 caches were found along and around the state border. This cache is one that was found today.
The last one found on our run along the border here, all good here.
Find #4271 on 18 Jul 2022.

Not sure which side we live on, but can't imagine it's the dark side [:o)]!
We explored the boundaries of time as we travelled south, then again as we headed north when all the roads on our map ended up being blocked by fences with no gates .

Had a nearby geocache requiring owner maintenance so headed out for an afternoon adventure to get the kids out of the house - they haven’t left the house in over a week as we’re avoiding the local COVID cases. TFTC!
A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
It was now time to head home after doing numerous trails while in the area a great caching adventure. We picked up numerous on our way home to break up the journey.
No worries with this on along the bumpy track.
Thanks for the hide Freddo the Chocolate Frog and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Today was cleaning up around Loxton and making our way over to Mildura for the night, before making our way back towards Wagga tomorrow.
We decided to do a little dirt track driving along the border, no issues with the find here after a bumpy ride in, now onto the next find for the day.
Thanks for the hides Freddo And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

Brad was on his way back from Sydney after visiting B2 and J2. He realised that this one was "on the way". So he made the detour down the track never quite sure which state he was in. A few caches later and he was heading back to the bitumen.
This was a quick find with the location exactly as described.
Except for the 1 zillion flies.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

Wanting to find all the Murray - Sunset NP caches we spent the day traveling the top corner with some great caching buddies, enjoying each others company as well as admiring the locations each cache took us to.
After grabbing some caches north of the highway, it was now time to head south along the border track in convoy with the remaining 5 x 4WD's.
Something weird is going on here ......
Our car clock says 5:00 but our phones are reporting 4:30 hmmmm which one is correct?
Thanks Freddo for sharing the dark side with us!!!!

After an event at Rocket Lake yesterday we camped there overnight and then cached our way through Murray Sunset. With some of the vehicles low on fuel we aired up our tyres and headed down the blacktop to Yamba.
Stopping here as we headed first north from the Sturt and then south along the Border Track to our next campsite.
Thanks Mr Frog

Day 2 Monash B and B
Found with mogni. It's 45 degrees today so it was a early start ( 530 out of bed ) and then headed to the virtual before the heat came in.Then on to the mail trail in murray sunset national park. Now we detoured off the freeway heading back to the B & B. quick find.
Myself and mogni came up to the river land to go to MacCabe Corner and find the virtual there plus drive the mail trail in murray sunset national park plus the 4 x 4 track in cooltong national park. The original idea was to go through to mildura but with weather 37, 45 , 37 degrees fore cast we changed plans and stayed in monash instead. Any caches that where found damaged where replaced and any logbooks found full or with 2 or 3 spaces left where replaced.

Ended up in Mexico - who would've thought! But we managed to get back over the wall
A quick jump over the wall and back here established our time travel credentials.
They may steal our borders and our car races, but they'll never steal this cache!!!

Out and about today with goingplaces2 on a caching run. We took a lot of back roads and tracks and had a great day. This one was a nice easy find and all duties were soon completed. TFTC.
Today it was a matter of selecting fewer caches for the list, but going mainly for interest. With ilook4geo we travelled past vineyards, mallee, drove dirt roads and tracks, enjoying it all. We made a successful find here, quickly and easily.
We had come across from Taplin to the border and then headed north along The Border Track. Both names were noted on the log, all was put back and we were off again to look for other interesting caches as well. Thank you, Freddo the Chocolate Frog, for placing this cache.

After the lunch time event travelling with The coffee's we joined the convoy to try and find a way to The five corner club virtual but after wasting quite a bit of time on the wrong roads we were all caching our way back towards Mildura.
We pulled up and read the cache page, did the experiment and it actually worked we had moved forward in time at a remarkably slow rate. Then we went back to the border where we were able to move backwards and forwards in time without feeling a thing.
So then the last big test, we split up and crossed at the same time and all we can say is that we experiencing a time paradox was a little underwhelming to what we thought might happen so to console ourselves we wandered off to find the cache and again by the time we added our name tot he log and returned it we had again moved further into the future. This is indeed a very strange place.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

After attending the 3x3 lunch time event it was time to head back east into familiar territory, Victoria and after making it safely back over the border it was time to find a couple along the border track.
After finding a few up north it was time to head south to find a couple on this part of the border track which I must come back and finish one day.
This was the last one along the border track for me as I had to be back in Mildura for the last 3x3 event for tea.
When looking for this cache I was not sure sure what time zone I was in as I wandered from border to border I was feeling like I was in the twilight zone.
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog TFTC.
After finding a few up north it was time to head south to find a couple on this part of the border track which I must come back and finish one day.

After a night camped near the border, I was heading home this morning, back to Adelaide after an extended trip away, and grabbing just a few caches along the way.
This cache was found as I retraced my steps from late yesterday afternoon and headed back up the Border Track to the Sturt Highway.
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog for the cache.

Another quick stop and grab. Could almost have reached this one out the geomobile window.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Found It!
I'm not sure what the time was when I found this one. SA has one of the strangest time zones in the world. Also I think this border was set almost 100 years before the AUS GEOD '66 datum existed...

We have had these 2 on the Radar for a while now Finally back this way to get them TFTC
This trip had so much time travel with zones being entered and exited left right and centre. No holes here to fall down. TFTC
Bookends.
After doing the one a couple of weeks ago on the border in WA, this one was done too. Like both caches, there is no issue with placement. Both legal, good coords and if you are worried about holes to drop down, use a torch or watch where you are going. I live to cache on. [:o)][:o)]
Found during an epic trip to 3 of SA state's corners - Haddon, Cameron and MacCabe. There was dust, eagles, a flat, video and lots of photography, mud and mostly more dust. An event in Innamincka broke up the dust and quenched the thirst.
Thanks to Freddo and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [:o)]

Family day out caching the sun is out but the wind is like ice but better than sitting at home and to windy to fish so here we are once again exploring this lovely seeing the wildlife. Found cache and replaced as found TFTC
Thanks to the modern miracle of GPSr units,
it was possible to confuse the hell out of it here
Just a step to the right and I was half an hour ahead of meself.
Of course a step to the left and ....
... wait for it because everything takes a lot longer to happen in SA,
Voila ... I'm back where I started in the time continuum
There is a setting somewhere in me GPSr that can solve this bit of time travel silliness.
But why bother

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 43. The travel is speeding up as I head home. Today I went from Hawker to Mildura via Burra.
Last time I was over this way I traveled down this track for a cache and then on to a few more. Today I had to do it all again. The cache was found without any issues and I returned to the main road to see all the roadside areas fenced off for some unknown reason.
Thanks.
