Grabbing a few caches with KNCN, they had spotted it but dismissed it. It wasn't til a rattled it fun the other side, that cache was found. Nicely done.
Im back in Auckland for a few days with family before heading to the Mega in Dunedin. After some grandparent duties this morning, I spent the afternoon caching in Devonport. Coordinates were jumping around but I decided to check out something a bit more and soon found the logbook. Signed and took the steel heart tb. No sign of the other two mentioned in the inventory. Another very clever cache container. Tftc
**22,108**Had to have another go at this one whilst we were still in the area. Cant believe we missed it last time. Once you see it, you cant unsee it. A very clever hide and a great size for swapping TBs. Glad to finally turn this blue face to yellow. TFTC
I'm now back in NZ, having spent the last couple of months in Europe. Part of that involved leaving my car with friends in Northland (just), and yesterday I met up with them in order to have a catch up as well as get my car back ready for my big drive back down south again this weekend.Today I'm driving back to Auckland, and with no particular timeframe to adhere to I'm making the most of the opportunity to do a little cache maintenance on my own few caches up here, as well as pay a visit to a part of Auckland that I've never actually been to before, Devonport.Making my way towards North Head Reserve, I made a point of stopping by to look for this cache. The co-ords initially misled me just a little, but then when I looked at what size cache I was searching for I immediately cast around and spotted something of interest, which turned out to be the cache. No issues to mention here, and once I'd signed the log the whole lot was replaced just as found. I left the 1 TB found within for someone else to move along. Thanks for setting this one up.
We found this one with the one and only sharkbait, there is a cool suprise for anybody who finds it
M26: with astrolovers, already found this cache but I have a trackable to drop off here, some other lucky cacher can have it if they want.
The coordinates were a bit off but after expanding the search I found it. Tftc!
Nice one! Hehe. Dragged the geo-husband to help us. Geo-kid has taken a travel bug too! We shall see where he ends up
Nice wander around Devonport, collecting smiley faces Found a TB lying on the ground in the bus shelter so returned it to the cache.I might check this again next month before I head to Europe, see if there are any TBs waiting for a trip offshore! All good hereNice location, TFTC!
Just deposited a TB and noticed that there were apparently 4 TBs in there. None in there so people must have forgotten to log them.

Last day in New Zealand we walk through the city and take the boat to Devonport. We pick up some caches along the way. Tftc
Spotted immediately! Already have a NZ trackable heading back to Canada with me, so left the few that were in here for someone else. TFTC
During our cruise from New Zealand, via Australia, Tasmania, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Mystery Island, Fiji, Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti, Raiatea, Maui, Kaua?i, O?ahu and Hawai?i Island we also passed by here and found this cache.T4tc and best regardsJoskaranchCool, big hiding place where I could put our New Zealand TB. I'm giving it a favorite point for that.
Visiting the North Island from Ottawa, Canada, by way of the South Island, and Sydney. Gotta get some caches along the way. Very tricky, very nice! TfTC
What a brilliant hide! This one took me longer than it should have - the phone was showing one location, which I gave more attention than I should have. Once I widened the search area, something caught my eye, and sure enough, I had found the cache. FP added, TFTC!

Quick find after visiting the Navel Museum.Found with CamKerry.Very clever hide. Well done.T4TC
Everything fell everywhere when we opened this one as the inner container had not been closed properly. Think we found it all and put it back! Thanks GeoTrioNZ
# #7,194 #----------Spotted what needed to be done here at GZ but I had to wait for a couple of muggles to move on. Once they had shifted, it was a simple job. Was worried as I had no tool of the trade, nor do I have small fingers. But I didnt need either in the end. TFTC!!! ----------> All geocaches are signed as mmmPIZZA or mPZ
Wandered up here at the end of a day in Devenport. Great hotel. Collected a TB and dropped off another. Thanks for looking after this fab location.
Very awesome cache. We found a TB that was not in the caches trackable inventory. We have removed it and will place it when we travel to Tauranga! FP added.

Day 11: North Shore and the CityToday was the day I claimed by 8000th milestone, and what better way to do it than with an elaborate gadget cache to cap it off. We headed off early today to get up to Castor Bay, and it still took almost an hour in the traffic. After that, I went down to Takapuna, while the family headed off for their own things. After that, it was a ferry ride from Devonport into the city to meet up with the wife for the train ride home. A very nice slate of caches again today, I continue to be impressed with what you Auckland cachers come up with in tricky urban environments. Thanks for the inspirations and for keeping the game as fun as it is! (End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:A truly top-notch motel here; and it took a little of thought and some jiggling stuff around to figure out what to do here. It was opened without too much trouble and I dropped two TBs into the cache for the next cacher to move along. Thanks for the lovely and clever construction here!
a little bit tricky, we looked around, an around, relaxed a short time and then we find it
Why are there so many caches in Devonport??? Not complaining! Its nice to find more caches than MacDonalds. Came across this particular one purely by chance on the way to Mt Vic. While hunting around, came across this park. GZ was quickly located. Didnt have the specific tool, but did have spare change and strong fingers. While I was busy at work a passing granny might have seen me but I spent a while in the park afterwards checking the haul and no police showed up so think Im ok. Replaced with no witnesss. Took two TBs. Thanks for the treasure trove. Fav points for a nice large cache and the audacious hide

Didn't find the cache, but found a nest on the ground and a bird sheltering from the wind
In Auckland for business and had a few spare hours to take in some views and grab some caches. Perfect area for both. Unfortunately quite few muggles around and limited time to search. Came up blank. Going to have to come back another day/year!!
After the ferry from rangitoto yesterday didn't stop here on the way back I decided that today was Devonport. Had a nice coffee, purchased some nice chocolate and got caught in the rain. I was trying to be discrete, until I dropped the container on the ground and the dB lifted to about 110 as all the TB fell out.
#432I was enchanted by the toadstool chairs in the little reserve but I soon remembered what I was here for! Nicely built TB hotel. Did not take or deposit any.
Took us a bit and was thrown off by a red herring, but ultimately made the find and had treasures to add to the cache. Tftc
OMG, we had a look everywhere .. and eventually, we went back to our initial guess. But honestly, you might need a screwdriver. Lucky us - we always have our big Swiss pocket knife with us! TFTC ....Sending off a travel bug we picked up last week - safe travels!
A new and windy day and got across the bay looking for some more smileys. Thank you for the cache!
We dropped in and took a TB. One problem though was that whoever took the The Precious Kiwi TB hasnāt logged it so that one still says itās in there even though itās not
In Devonport this evening with AliGle and stopped to grab this cache while passing by. We parked on Church Road and wandered across this small corner park, immediately spotting something that warranted further investigation and it wasn't long before we had the cache in hand. No TBs in residence, so I dropped off one that I had been carrying. TFTC... fav point added!
Stopped off in Devonport this afternoon with Vistra for a walk and little bit of caching. Grabbed this very interesting cache along the way. FP given. Tftc
Had us stumped for awhile then found it. We put a trackable for someone to take overseas
Nicely done. I left the TB that I picked up at a meet and greet in Taiwan last week at my hotel. I'll end up taking it home to Dunedin. A favourite point from me.
Looked for this in the dark earlier this year but had no luck. Tonight both phones wanted us to look in a particular area but there was nothing big enough there to be the cache. I was drawn to another area where a Muggle was letting her massive dog do a massive poo, and she didn't pick it up. Well you've guessed right, that was where we found the cache. No travel bugs in today but we did end up taking a couple of mozzies back to the car with us.
Found it however the coordinates had us looking in the wrong place for a while TFTC
Was in the area today to collect cache numbers and with a few adventure labs nearby, decided upon here for the task......On the bike for faster commuting times between caches.....later on in the afternoon this option really paid off, when the thunder storm hit suddenly.........
Cache is all good, signed in as SAC sometimes to save space in the logbooks........Fav.point given for this one .....only wish I had brought a few of my TB to deposit, as this looks like a safe TB hotel.....
TFTC.

Had no trackables to leave, but this is the first cache today... now to the adventure labs.
I have a mantra - (oooh! Insert Martin Luther King here: I have a MANTRA!!) - Never Assume, Always Test. And it failed me here. I was retesting things I had already checked, because I made that assumption. Well, this is a Found log, so obvious I eventually had the duh! moment, but still - it should not have taken anywhere near this long!
This gets a favourite. It's dry inside, it's large enough for treasure - it even has (make that "had") a trackable inside! Nice. Found on the way back to barracks after a exciting walk around the Maunguika.
A flying visit (literally) for work today. My team and I flew to Hamilton, did our work there, then drove to Auckland to be ready for part two tomorrow morning. However everything went faster than expected, the team arrived here earlier than planned, so we all headed to the Naval Museum to fill in some time. From there we walked back to barracks, geocaching along the way. After dinner I went back out again and climbed all over North Head (to use the naval term for the place). What an amazing place!
Next morning I went out yet again and found a few before breakfast. The team headed out for part two of the job and we all flew out about lunchtime. Still, 14 found - not bad! Oh - and three complete adlabs!

Almost back home after a long walk up the coast to Milford and back. We are walking through here anyway, so let's look for the cache in daylight, oh there it is. So clever! Mr D really liked this one.
We wandered around in the dark- caught out because night falls so much faster here than down south. Will have to return in daylight!
M24: container is safe at this motel, log is signed, great condition as well, and all is good here. FP given. TFTC.
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a good day, I cruised around and about Devonport. The weather was pretty good, and I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I'm down in Auckland to pick up my son who's flying home for the holidays tomorrow. I took the chance to come down a day early and pick up some caches.
I had a nice wander around North Head doing the labs and then spent the rest of the day geocaching around Devonport. There were lots of good hides and beautiful views.
Fortunately there was nobody in the park today. A nicely blended in hide. I didn't have a tool handy but small fingers managed to open it easily. Did a trackable swap as I've been carrying some for ages. Thanks for the neat hide

Very impressed with how this blends right in while sticking right out! Had to give it a miss on first pass because muggles were sat on the bench nearby. But after picking up a couple of other caches, I returned and made a quick find. No trackables staying at the motel today but there was a pack of pictures which I couldnāt quite understand the relevance of. Thanks for the quick stay cache!
