Parked up close to GZ on a road I have not been down before. It was very quiet and I did not see another car on the road while here. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Garfield69au for this one.
During our cacher tour we also stopped here and looked for this cache. Thanks for the cacheTeam sissifalke
Quick and easy find today with my partner ( New_Age_God ) awesome little cache Tftc !!
Heading towards Lake Somerset with BM75, Peppa and wayn0 and had some time to stop and grab a few caches on the way. Nice quick find, the log was damp so I added a new bit of paper.Tftc Garfield69auFind #5050
There was a plan Im not sure who first suggested the plan, but it involved Beardman75, Davinells, wayn0 and I aboard the recently renamed Karicka attempting to collect as many Lake Somerset caches as possibleIts dark out, and thats got nothing to do with the early hourThanks Garfield69au
Another plan, another day of geocaching.. maybe.. weather dependent! Thanks for the cache Cheers
Found at the end of a mum and son camping trip. We had overnight rain so I had the joy of packing up a wet campsite. Then we spent the morning kayaking and swimming and after lunch we headed back to Brisbane. We stopped along the way to look for caches and thankfully they were all quick finds today as it was super hot and muggy.I really enjoy driving down random backstreets in the country and seeing the communities that live there. So thanks HRH54 for showing us part of this little community. On another day I might have explored the cemetery further but it was ridiculously hot and I nearly melted just finding and signing the cache.
Garfield69au I found your cache Chillin in Beppo on 12/7/2023, 2:20 pm. This is my find 5890 and find # 5 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Today, I joined E_Smiley with our plan to hike at Crows Nest National Park, targeting a few Q100 oldies that included Perseverance Pays No 1 and 2.
We had arranged to meet at Toogoolawah, and I elected to take the drive north of Lake Wivenhoe via Wivenhoe Outlook and Red Cedar. We took a few stops at the small cluster of geocaches north of Lake Perseverance that took longer than I had anticipated, and so we eventually arrived at Crows Nest National Park for our walk. The river and pools were great, but I hadn't anticipated the mapped track to essentially be non-existent, so it was a much tougher slog than I had thought. If that challenge wasn't tough enough, we thought we had just enough time to take a drive south to another Crows Nest National Park section, where we then hiked up to Perseverance Pays No 1. A friendly walk along fire tracks, but the last scramble section was challenging, but the views were terrific. We made it back to Toogoolawah well after our planned end time, but it was a fantastic day nevertheless.
This cache was a quick find, but the toughest part was navigating the barbed wire fence alongside the cache. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. A nice little cemetery at this location. Thanks Garfield69au for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A very well kept cemetery here, thanks for bringing us to it. It is sad to think of the hardships people went through in the past, but is a reminder to be thankful for the blessing of 21st century life. A quick find here, thanks for the hide.

Monday. Today was a day to finally get out to the Somerset / Wivenhoe area and check out how full the dams are now. We were collecting some caches along the way that have been planted here since we came out caching ages ago. We pulled up to GZ, but our arrow led us astray. Had a slow time getting the arrow to point in the obvious spot but we got there eventually. Spotted the little container toot-sweet. Really hard to undo it and I was beginning to think I’d not be able to undo it. Got there in the end and then found that the log was in super tight down the end of the container but we had a tott and had our greasy mitts on the log. With signing duties done, we rolled the log up for easier extraction and replaced back to its hidey spot. Really lovely area here and nice to discover this lovely hidden cemetery that really is very well maintained.
This was the 3rd of 5 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Garfield69au*** for showing us this place

Was out for a drive and thought we should see if there is any caches in the area, loaded the app and there was one we were about to drive past. Easy find! Great spot
I rode the bicycle here today from toogoolawah. Up and down the fun hills along this road. Not too much traffic, a lotta angry black and white birds too, although i had my jousting stick handy so none came close.
There's actually another cemetary back down the road, for the lutherans.
Interesting, this might be the protestants.
A quick find then i pedalled myself away.
Thanks garfield for the cemetary cache!

Thanks for bringing us here. Found quickly. Watched someone do stunts in a plane while signing the new log. TFTC
My husband wanted to go to Esk races today and i had a look at what caches were nearby and i so was very excited to come out here. so i dropped my husband at the races and headed here. This was my 4th and last find for today. i love a cemetery hide and what a lovely little cemetery . at gz it was not long until i spotted the cache. the log book was sodden but i had a spare one with a zip lock bag to keep it dry. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Out this way on a camping and caching trip this weekend and came by to check this one out.
Cache quickly found although the log is soaked and unable to be signed. I have a pic if CO needs it
Thanks for the cache Garfield69au

Be careful of barbwire and look carefully and there are some friendly cows there!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Popped in today to find the cache in excellent condition with a new log book (many thanks for the replacement).
We certainly seem to visit a lot of cemeteries with caching which we don't mind at all. Such a shame that there were so many young people. Very hard time for all those families. We can't imagine how hard that would have been. Thanks for the cache.
Catching up on late logs.
We were up here to attend the Daybro Mega event but the weather was not very kind to us so we decided to concentrate on Adventure Labs and any thing else that was near by.
The weather had eased off a bit and we though we would try some normal caches to get back into the swing of it. With the bad weather came no visitors so this one was made easy for us in that respect.
We followed the GPS to GZ where the cache was located quickly and the log book now contains our name.
We then went for a wander through the little cemetery and as the cache page states there are way too many young graves here highlighting the hardships endured by our early settlers.
Many thanks Garfield69au for bringing us here and the hide.

Log sheet is full. There is a piece of cardboard in a zip lock bag sitting on top of the cache!
Had a spare log with us so maintenance has been performed. Old logbook still in situ but new log as well.
Found at 12:27 PM GAFF1.
That is a nice cache that we were able to drive up to and spot from the car.
Thanks Garfield69au.

Took the opportunity to do some geocaching while staying at Toogoolawah. A nice quick find while out on my second day geocaching in the area. TFTC.
Puzzles were solved and a plan was hatched. We were going boating! It didn't take long for the enormity of the task ahead to become clear and so we parked the idea and the second half of the puzzles for another day. A week ago some geocaching friends invited us along for a weekend of camping and caching. An opportunity we couldn't possibly refuse! A quick scramble over a few days and the final touches were made and puzzles solved that had been neglected. We arrived the night before and made a plan of attack allowing for changes as required based on the flavour of the wind. An early start by kayak followed by the SS Slow Boat resulted in 11.5 hours on the water after first launching before the final cache was signed. We couldn't possibly have achieved this task without the help, support, entertainment, laughs and all round fun of Chamad, Willis007 and Team Tyrell. The scenery was stunning and the bird life abundant. Views from some of the hills were magic and we couldn't help but stare in awe up at the bright stars from the campsite of an evening. Mrs Simber15's irrational fear of cows was overcome on a few occasions and a brief encounter with magpies completed. A few times we found ourselves beached or engine stalled and then Chamad would remind us "I know boats" and it wasn't long before we were up and running again. This was a weekend of caching we won't soon forget! Thankyou for adding to the enjoyment of our adventure Garfield69au!
Staying at Esk for a few days. Today we travelled from Esk to Kilcoy via Toogoolawah then back to Esk via Somerset. We found 21 caches in total, they were a great variety of Traditionals, Puzzles and a Multi.
Thanks to all the COs that have hidden caches in this area for us to enjoy.

Mrs Herbz spotted the guide from afar after first seeing the little yellow cache companion hanging around GZ. The logbook is near full, we didn't have any write-in-rain paper with us so couldn't replace sorry. TFTC.
COs- Currently in the process of catching up on my logging backlog- some of it, I'm embarrassed to say extends back a number of years.
I'm logging each cache on the date that I actually visited it, not the day I'm logging. Cheers??
??????????
We'd been busy beavers solving the dark side puzzle series and could finally come and collect the goodies here. It took us 3 days in a slow boat but we had a great time out on the water and being away from home.
As Ratty?? said to Mole??...
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing–absolutely nothing–half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”
We didn't mess about too much though or we wouldn't have found them all in the time we had the boat.
The logs were signed as either team GERSH or sometimes GRESH, depending on the memory of the signee and the caches were where our coords led us and no issues were encountered.
The team consisted of...
GS1947, RoddyC, echocage1, Snickersallan and hatzofff.
Found after a big day on the Lake.

We decided to join forces for a few day's caching on Lake Somerset. Our first day, and we are motoring our boats to do the northern end where there are some traditional, caches, then start on the caches of the Dark Side series.
We collected this fellow chillin away while we were on our way to collect the hire boat.
Cache located, log signed and all replaced as found. TFTC, Garfield69au, at 8:21 AM on September 3, 2020.

On a country drive heading to Lake Somerset, we did a small detour to come and find this geocache. We stopped to visit the cemetery briefly, as it is always interesting to see a little bit of history in the small towns. Thanks for the detour and for heading us this way.

Today I had to drive from Toowoomba to a remote spot in the countryside near Somerset Dam. I did have time to stop and find a few caches along the way. Nice one! Always interesting to see history like this tucked away in remote places. My GPS zero'd out in the middle of the road but after reading the listing and hints, I worked out where to look and found the cache after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.
Driving home and decided to do a quick Cache search! Easy find and interesting looking around the cemetery with the family.
A short detour along a bitumen road soon had us at the cemetery. The cache wasn't in the first place we checked that fit the clue but was nearby.
Must have been a lengthy working bee painting all those graves white.
Thanks.

Completed the Roses Geoart at Kilcoy and needed a few more for us to meet our next milestone, so we came here to pickup the Coat of Arms series that we have solved. With Cheekybum_15.

Was in the area, so made a quick detour, and grabbed this one.
Heading towards it, noticed a little cemetery, and was surprised the cache wasn't near it.
Only to find there are 2 cemeteries on this road, and this cache was near the second one.
Cache 1/2 full of water and log very wet so my scribble stick didn't want to play ball.
But I did like the little toy 'hanging' with the cache.

Out with Selva Girls caching in the area today we pulled up near gz to claim a smilie here. We found the cache chillin as described and added our names to the log. Tftc!
I went for a ride this morning on the rail trail and had some time to spare after getting back to my car before the event in Esk scheduled for 12pm. I looked at the map and saw this cache so I decided to head over to it. I pulled up in the shade of a tree that looked perfect for hiding a cache. After waiting for a local resident to drive past, I jumped out of the car and discovered that the cache was actually in a smaller tree a few metres away. Still a quick find though.
Thanks for the cache Garfield69au. This was find #4080.

We now have a name "Bunyip". Our son finally found one, which made him super excited.
Heading for home with wombles and 1MinnieMoo after a fun weekend away in Toowoomba. Of course we had to stop and create a few new smileys on the journey home.
At GZ we hunted around for awhile until finally the sneaky beasty was in hand.

Not much chillin here today, pretty hot out! Cache was located but not quite where we expected it to be.

Taking the Somerset detour on our way home today from Toowoomba, we pulled up here. A cemetery cache, so NyssaFlutterby immediately exited the car expecting to go into the cemetery. However Wombles&Co and I both wandered in completely the opposite direction to her. I expected one spot but the phone pointed to another spot, and sure enough it was accurate. Cache found just hanging around. Then we were off on our journey to the dam.
Found in the drizzle Thanks for the cache Garfield69au.

#5 of 18 found today …
As we arrived the compass pointed straight at the cache.
Mrs VC went for the grab & as we were opening the container a car pulled up behind us.
"I bet they're cachers' said MRS VC & sure enough we were joined by the questing quartet of HRH54 & JuJu54.
Nice meeting you all, now we're off to find some more caches … ah, they're mostly HRH54's.
Another of life's coincidences?

Heading to Somerset for a paddle this morning, then I'll be off to smell some roses in the afternoon and tomorrow. To cold to paddle real early, so I had time to round up some strays on the way.
My second cemetery for the morning. Good thing I have no set time to get where I am going with another wander around graves to be had.
A nice quick find thanks.
